Nothing happened as of yet. No known fix for my vehicle, recall in place for over 2 years.

After entering the alley i pushed the garage door button.as i was turning onto the driveway pavement from the gravel alley the truck slowed and became hard to steer (like when the power steering pump goes out).almost simultaneously there was a loud pop and the airbag deployed.when i realized what just happened i put the truck in park, turned the key to off and got out in a hurry.i thought the truck was on fire as there was a burning smell and smoke sputtered for quite awhile. As yet i do not know what caused the airbag to deploy.

Takata recall- i called my local dealership to have this remedied and was told gm does not have a fix for this? i have already had my bmw 3 series and chrysler 200 airbags fixed so why is gm having issues with replacing them? the electrical system also has enormous amounts of corrosion at all the system connections, i saw there has been a technical bulletin posted for this, so what has gm done to fix this issue also? i just bought the cadillac and the airbag service light was on and i was told it was due to this recall not getting done.

The air bag issue not being repaired has caused electrical issues. It has cause the locks to go up and down, the radio to quit and not come on, all electronics in dash to stop working while driving and i ran off the road because i had no control. Took it to a mechanic that was able to let me drive it and not the electrical issues are back. It completely shut down while i was turning on a bypass and i almost got hit. I had to have it towed. It did not show any codes to the mechanic and it did the exact same thing to me yesterday. This vehicle will get me killed if it is not repaired.

I been fighting this p0011 code for over a year.i've replaced the whole engine, sensors, ecm, and other things associated with this problem. This code can be anything. Doesn't make any sense for 100 things to be associated with 1 code. I've owned many vehicles and i honestly never experienced a problem like this.costed me over 10k in diagnostics, parts, and labor.i'm not the only 1 with this problem.very unfair.cadillac should be responsible for this problem. This engine design has too many flaws!

A week after i purchased car from rancho motors victorville, ca i had incidents where all electrical features from vehicle would shut down, ihave been taking it to dealership and they have kept it for a month at times and their resolution is that the battery hasn't worked but it's been 7 times i have taken it and they don't want to be responsible for it, the worst part is at one point vehicle stop working in middle of freeway and my family and i were really scared, problem continues i'm done and tired of this. I had paid almost $50,000 on unreliable vehicle and problem is because i'm hispanic dealership won't take care of me.

Electrical problem

I purchased a 2007 escalade and have had it for just about 1 year. So far i have had to replace a defective windshield, hubs, evap sensor, purge valve, fuel level sensor, transmission, defective rims, plus the normal wear and tear items....brakes, rotors, battery. All of which happened to go right around 90,000 to 100,000 miles. I contacted cadillac to address the issues and compensate some costs as this suv has always been regularly maintained with the best products available including synthetic oils. They refused to work with me.... Well today the icing on the cake. My grandfather passed away this week, while moving his personal belongings and having a full truck load of them the truck caught on fire. Smoke began to pour in from the dash by the windshield the under the dash. I opened the hood and flames shot out burning my hand. The police & fd came. Thank god for the family in the home near by who ran out with a fire extinguisher. I had to pay for a tow from maine to nh. I was out of state, the dealer is closed until monday. Find a vehicle to use to go to ny where the funeral service are being held. This vehicle isundependable, unreliable, junk that is unsafe. Not only is it because this one is a lemon but because they do not back the product. Gm does not care about the publics safety. They don't care if folks get injured or killed. Many of the issues i have had are safety issues but gm dose not find them to be. If a transmission locks up when you are doing 65 on a highway and drops to 20 i think that's a safety issue. At least that is what i have been told by multiple mechanics. If your windshield is defective due to the plastic and glass separating and you can't see to drive, that too is a safety issue. If your hubs go bad your wheel can come off at any speed...another issue. And if you are trapped in a burning car. I would also say that may be an issue too.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact stated that he noticed burn holes on the sunroof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where the contact was advised that they were unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start, the electrical system was not working, and the air bag indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer (mark christopher auto center, located at east convention center way, ontario, ca 91764, 909-390-2920) where it was diagnosed that the electrical system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 78,000.

When driving and coming to slow down at a red light or to make a turn, then accelerate, my 2007 cadillac escalade completely shuts down.all electrical and mechanical power is lost.this has happened at least 7 times over the last month.my wife is the primary driver of the vehicle and she uses it to drop the kids off at school and daycare.she's been stuck in the middle of a busy intersection in dallas, tx 3 times.this is a very dangerous situation for my family.i took the vehicle to the service department at massey cadillac in garland, tx on 03/03/11 and i'm waiting for their diagnosis.i purchased the truck brand new and have regularly scheduled maintenance done.

I have contacted cadillac customer service regarding my steering wheel smoking and burning a hole in the leather when i use the heated steering wheel feature.they are claiming that it is the result of normal wear and tear which i find absurd.the dealer representative stated to me that in the 10 years he's been working on gm cars, he has never seen this happen.also, the dealer charged me to replace all four internal door handles after the metal degraded and started cutting our hands.apparently, other escalades were covered under a recall but not my vin.i think both should be covered by gm given the serious nature of both defects.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. While driving 45 mph, there was a burning odor coming from the rear roof light. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed smoke and fire coming from the rear roof light. The vehicle caught on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. Police and fire reports were not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 166,000.

I was driving approximately 60 mph, when my dash warning sign began to read "low oil pressure- shut off engine" and began beeping incessantly.as i was on a bridge/expressway, i was not in a position where i could safely stop the engine.the engine went into "limp mode" and was struggling to maintain power.

2007 cadillac escalade problems first reported to cadillac at 86,453 miles. Electrical problem. Car shuts off at intersection unexpectedly, i hace to raise hood and shake battery cables to get to restart. Upon turning off car, no power to ignition, no interior lights, no power at all. I have to raise hood and shake cables again. I've replaced battery twice, both positive and negative cables, fuses, grounding straps, cleaned terminals at grounds etc. No relief from problem. At hwy speeds causes transmission to unexpectedly downshift, cycles door locks up and down, gauges go blank or start cycling on & off. Ac system turns on heat unexpectedly. Service stabilitrak & abs light comes on. Radio turns off and resets to jan 1 2005 12:00am, dvd/cd player stays on and cycles after car is shut off. Dealer can not find issue. Request manufacturer assistance by service bulletin or recall. Please advise. Dangerous issue while driving. Problems ave been onging since 11/22/2016upon first contact with [email protected]

My vehicle engine light comes on and the gas needle bounces back and forth. When the needle bounces back and forth from full to empty the engine light in the dash will come on and may stay on for awhile but will then go off. When i put fuel in the tank the light will go off but once i start driving again it comes back on and the needle bounces back and forth. Not sure where the problem is but i know my brother is having the same problem with his silverado. Please let me know what i need to do. Thanks for your time.

Heated front seats not working.the problem with this, is that the connector that attaches to the climate control seat module (ccsm) (which is located under the front passenger seat), overheats to the point that the connector has melted.i believe that this is a fire hazard and cadillac should look into fixing it.from all the posts on this subject in the cadillac owner's forums there are alot of owners having the same problem and concerns.

Vehicle wiring harness on the underside of thetransmission wireloomhas dry rottedcausing harness to dislodge from retainer clip causing harness to drop onto front driveshaft causing vehicle to go into limp mode in hiway traffic almost causing an accident due to the vehicle slowing down. Noticed other part of wire harness look failing and other electrical issues happening to my vehicle including seat heater harness connector to melt, harness breaking apart in from door jambs. Harnessalso coming apart in engine compartment and bare wires either touching sharp or hot objects and possible future problems to come.

We were pulling out of a parking lot after the suv was parked for over an hour. When i smelled something burning. Smoke started pouring in side the car on the driver side from under the dash board. We pulled off the road and called 911. Opened the hood and 3ft flames shot out, the alarm went off as smoke and flames filled the air. A lady in a home nearby ran out with a fire extinguisher to assist. Fire and police came, report was filed. My lungs burned for weeks after and i had a chronic cough. The car was towed to the dealer. The dealer found it to be a manufacture defect but gm refused to work with us on costs. We had to pay full price out of pocket for repairs. I filed a complaint with bbb, gm, and many others but got no assistance. I also had issues with this suv and the transmission failed at 100,000 miles which the shop said it was unusual but for a transmission to fail at this low of miles but in these transmissions it is aknown problem. It could have caused an accident if failing on the highway when doing 65 and locked up. There have also been issues with the fuel level sensor which many people have also reported, defective windshield which gm refused to replace. The film over the windshield was defective which caused blurry vision in the drivers line of view. I had to pay to replace the windshield. Gm has not backed any of the issues with this suv. It has been a lemon since day one. I have all receipts for repairs.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact stated that the wire harness in the vehicle melted. The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The vin was unavailable. The failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact stated that the battery would be completely drained without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the motor wiring harness under the passenger seat was completely melted, which caused the failure. As a result, the battery, circuit breaker, and wiring harness needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 47,000.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. While driving various speeds, the vehicle's trunk opened independently. The vehicle was taken to pine belt cadillac (71 nj-37, toms river, nj 08753) where it was diagnosed that the motor to the trunk lid needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to call nhtsa. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.

2007 cadillac escalade apparently was built with severe camshaft and bearing issue.1st. Stabilitrak, traction control light and warning.straight and level driving on clear dry day.this is when engine was running on highway and engine fully at operating temperature.this forced transmission/engine into limp mode.mccaddon dealership installed complete transmission cost over $8,000----issue came back.then they replaced fuel pump.then they replaced oil pump which seemed to fix issue, cost $2084.04.now at 225,000 miles oil pressure low, stop engine light, and warning gong.no oil leaks, oil levels always watched and maintained with regular changes.took into dealership thinking they would replace oil pressure sensor.instead they charged 130.00 to diagnose that engine was losing pressure.their solution, replace engine at cost of $10,000.now online search indicates that this is actually caused by bad camshafts and bearings.not sure what i will do, but doubt i will pay dealership to replace engine at cost of $10,k.gm needs to own up to defective part and recall.some would say what do you expect from car with over 200k miles?i expect it to be diagnosed correctly, root cause identified and fixed first time.or at least 2nd time, or 3rd time.other bills on this car for various things from manifold bolts $1220 which included a power steering hose, axle wheel bearing $704, ball joints, $2015,engine seals$831.77.

Driver stopped vehicle preparing to park, placed it in "park" and proceeded to turn ignition into "off" position.the key was firmly locked in the "run" position and would not turn to "off" or any other position. After trying to turn key for several minutes, driver called gm/sewell - cadillac service department for instruction to turn the vehicle off.the service department could not provide any solutions that worked over the phone. The vehicle had to be shut off at the service department.after the initial incident there were a number of other incidents including key hard to turn in ignition, numerous occasions of power loss throughout systems in vehicle.the vehicle has been taken the sewell cadillac many times for these safety issues. A number of calls have been made to gm also about the vehicle and its defective nature.i firmly believe that this vehicle should be included in the ignition recalled vehicles.

I was driving at the speed of 75mph, then all of a sudden i was reduced to 30mph. My display information read stabilitrak service, reduced speed. My concern is that my family and i could have been killed due to this dangerous situation. I feel that this problem needs to be recalled. Somebody out on the highways will be injured or killed if something is not done.

My dashboard is cracking on both ends and the stability control has gone out twice.

Takata recall---2007 cadillac escalade, stability light control comes on and off.also triggers my engine light to stay on.traction control light stays on as well. I have replace the timing chain, cam shaft, oil pressure sensor, new shocks, new compressor, and i keep the oil changed.even the cadillacdealer has went thru and thru this vehicle replacing all this stuff and thousands of dollars later, to still doing the same thing and they even said they have no clue of why it keeps doing this.i have had nothing but problem after problems with this cadillac and something needs to be recalled to fix these issues not on the owners pocket.on gm's pocket.this vehicle is enough alone without having to continue sinking money after money it is to just try and fix this issue.very disappointed in cadillac's and this is my 2 one, but probably my last one because who wants to fork out 80,000 for a new one, to continue forking out with issues.these issues severely needs a recall before it takes peoples lives.soon as these lights come on, and you give it gas, if feels like the transmission is going to fall out in the road.jerks you everywhere.this is a daily problem, not just a one time issue.

Dashboard is cracked to where the wiring is showing. Stabilitrak light comes on from time to time.

Power is cut to the motor because of problems with the stability control.vehicle will not go over 5mph.this has happened multiple times 3 or 4 of which where the car needed towing.the problem has happened at least 4 or 5 other times where it worked after the incident.my self and others have been in serious danger of an accident.this problem occurs when i am traveling on hwys, freeways, and i have been lucky to be able to avoid accidents.

Escalade having same issues as everyone else. Oil pressure due to poor build and cut backs on general motors behalf. A unit with a price up words of $70-$80k should not have the issues. We as the customers and the victims should not pay the price and our own lives (families lives) for a companies selfishness. Passenger seat control module burnt due to yet another faulty gm product. They seam to not care and want to fix the issues that can again lead to harm to anyone in and around the vehicle. I still own this vehicle but it has been a utter disgrace of what kind of products we have been sold. To this day would like to know why the company recallsparts that would cost them nickels and dimes and not the major items that can lead to disasters like death. For crying out loud they replaced my de others dash...(dash). So replace a plastic dash that has no harm what so ever and oh don't mined if you truck catches on fire do to faulty modules. Shame how gm has let a company like toyota who actually listens to the costumes seem like a more patriotic company and keeps their customers safe on the roads. Thank you for your time, now it's time for action. I still drive the truck everyday and pray i don't die every time .

Vehicle continue to receive "low oil pressure, turn off engine warning". In addition to "service stabilink seystem". No one can tell me the cause. This occurs while driving on highways and street. 2007 cadillac

The contact stated that the service stable track and the traction control light had illuminated on the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to mccurley integrity chevrolet cadillac 1325 north autoplex way, pasco, wa 99301 where he was informed that the parts to fix the vehicle are no longer available. The contact then called two other gmc dealers he found online(dealer unknown) who also gave him the same information. The manufacturer had been notified through the dealer(mccurley integrity chevrolet cadillac) who initially gave him the same information as the dealer. They suggested that another part could be used to fix the problem, but could not guarantee that remedy would work as needed. The vehicle had not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.*ln

Engine has rod knock like noise and gm says its carbon build up on the pistons have heard this noise on several cadillac escalades with the 6.2liter engine from 2007 -2014 mine faisled as a result of this noise and and was ignored by gm corporation i am concerned for other with this same condition. This noise happened in the morning even after warm up on not after car has already reached its operation oil pressure.

Takata recall airbag inflators, have not yet been replaced. I received my recall notice in 2016 and have taken my vehicle to ron carter dealership in friendswood, tx where the vehicle was purchased, however, i was informed that the replacement part was not in and it will be indefinitely. The truck has a hard time accelerating when trying to keep speed or trying to go to a higher speed, also a noise is coming from the vehicle after i turn on the ignition. I was informed by ron carter cadillac that i needed to file aclaim once i receive the recall notice to fie a claim on or about 10/2017. I have been trying to get my vehicle recall taken care of since 11/2017 not to long after i purchased the vehicle approximately july 2017

I have a 2007 cadillac escalade and on the dash it will read oil pressure low stop engine and the oil light will come on then back off. Upon research from a shop mechanic he said that it was common for those 6.2 motors for the cam bearings to go bad causing no oil to reach the top of the motor and could cause engine failure and motor to come apart and kill someone

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact stated that a loud ticking noise emitted from the front end of the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and discovered that exhaust fluid was leaking from the manifolds due to fractures in the bolts. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. Vehicle stalled out in very heavy traffic in both maryland, and indiana while i was on vacation. This occurred on a major highway in both occasions that was packed with traffic.this incident could have easily resulted in a major accident that could have been harmful to both me and my family. This incident happened on 2 occasions ,july 16th 2016 and july 22nd 2016.dealership at first could not find the problem as was the case with the first cadillac dealership in bethesda maryland. The 2nd dealership took a week to create, identify, and hopefully repair the problem. Replacing fuel pump ended up being the call. 1005.00 dollars later i certainly hope that this fixed the problem. This indeed is a huge safety concern as it does not show any warnings it just stalled out.

Noticed excessive exhaust fumes inside the car while at idle during stops. All windows up during winter season driving. Inspected exhaust system for leaks. Noticed exhaust manifold bolts on both sides of engine missing and subsequent leaks at each exhaust port with missing bolts. Noticed excessive rusting and corrosion of exhaust manifold and bolts. This seems to be caused by a metal defect creating premature corrosion of exhaust manifolds and bolts. Intern, causing exhaust leaks and excessive amounts of exhaust gases under hood an in the cabin. This is a major safety concern to me and my family. Please investigate.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The deer struck the vehicle's windshield. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to a body shop and the bumper, fog lamps, tow bracket cover, air deflector, fan motors, and radiator were repaired. The contact stated the engine warning indicator illuminated and the lifter was malfunctioning. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and several other things were repaired on the vehicle.

2007 model cadillac escalade while parked in a garage, not driven for about2 days caught fire all on its own and burnt down causing extensive damage to property and other vehicles.

2007 escalade ext ,34k miles. Heat shield on exh manifold rusted thru mounts , fell into steering column. Steering locked in a rt hand turn, went loc, very hard jerk on steering wheel broke it free. Checked passenger side, it had also fallen off but didn't cause any problem.

2007 cadillac escalade squealing noise while driving at any speed. Customer states it happens at any speed. Also has a thumping noise in the rear while driving at highway speeds. Squealing sounds like it is coming from the brakes.the dealer stated the diagnosis for the rattling noise was due to the stabilizer bar links being loose. The consumer stated the problem still persists and provided a document from gmc's website stating the defect has to do with a/c air belt compressor conditioning.the dealer informed the consumer there was no fix for the problem atthe present time.the dealer found the stabilizer links loose.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. While driving 45 mph, there was a burning odor coming from the rear roof light. Police and fire reports were not filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 166,000.

The contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade.while driving between 30-40 mph with the automatic headlights activated, the high beam (flash to pass) feature suddenly engaged to warn opposing drivers of an animal in the roadway.the high beam (flash to pass) feature was functional whenever the automatic headlight feature was deactivated by manually turning off the headlights and flashing the high beams.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection.they stated that the high beam (flash to pass) feature was operating as the manufacturer designed.the technician recommended that the manufacturer be notified of the issue.the manufacturer investigated the issue and stated that the component was operating to their satisfaction.in addtion, the rain tracker automatic windshield wipers sensor failed to operate properly in precepitation or mist.the authorized dealer was unable to replace the sensor.the failure mileage was 17,000 and current mileage was 47,000.

Flashing of headlights during daytime hours does not work when the headlamps are in the automatic mode. The automatic mode turns the headlamps on during evening periods & off during daylight hours. This should not be a part time feature. In order to use the "flash to pass" during daylight hours, the headlamps must be taken out of the automatic mode. I believe this hinders the ability to use the headlamps for a safety warning.

Many new vehicles have led taillights which are strobed. Some of these are strobed at such a low rate that the strobing becomes evident to following drivers. This is extremely irritating and distracting to the point that i believe it is a safety issue. I have great difficulty following such a vehicle. This is a problem even at a significant following distance, say 1/4 mile. Please do something about this.

I have a cadillac escalade 2007 awd. It has 70,000 miles on it and the chrome plated interior door handles have peeled off exposing sharp edges. Both the passenger and the driver interior door handles have exposed sharp edges. Through normal use, the chrome has peeled. There has been no abuse to them. These sharp edges have cut my finger once and also passenger fingers on three occasions. The cut is worse than a paper cut. They average about 1.5 inches. Nothing has been done to correct the failure as i am out of bumper to bumper warranty.

The issue is with vvt and the camshaft. Took to auto shop because my vehicle was going into limp mode. Which caused my transmission to go bad.

Ii purchase the truck with the understanding it had only 124,946 miles.two later i found thru car fox that the miles had roll back. In 2018the miles 195000 then in 2019 175000 and 2020 no miles at all. Two days after purchase check eng lite and other lites came on.

Heated steering wheels shorts out and heated and cool seats shorts out and the dashboard is cracked all happened while driving

Heated seats not working. After doing some research online i found out that escalade's are prone to melted wire connections on the ccsm under the passenger seat. Mine has the exact same problem as described by many other escalade owner's. Why has this not been recalled? this could pose a very serious interior fire risk.

Heated steering wheel burned a whole through leather and caused a burn on my finger.steering wheel heater no longer works since incident.heated driver seat no longer works after smelling burning in car.found melted/burned connector under passenger side seat where the heated seat module is located.

The rear seat head restraints do not raise to the standard recommended by 49 cfr 571. They can be lifted to 26 inches, not 27 1/2 inches min. As the standard recommends which renders them not safe for full size adults. As a result, many passengers refuse to sit there, rendering my "sut"5-seater to be a 2-seater vehicle. The restraints are also not lockable.thank you for the attention to this matter. I would like to have this condition fixed. Cadillac recognizes that all their escalade exts are the same but refuses to acknowledge that they are not standard and need fixing. I seen another person said that she had problems with her heated and cooling seats i'm have the same exact problem and wanted to know if there are alot of complaints why is not a recall?

In all videos i checked for issues with the heated and cooled seats i saw that one of the connectors to the circuit board we're starting to melt the connector. Upon removing mine, the same issue is shown and could potentially be fatal if it continues to melt and catch fire.

Suspension and anti lock brakes the problem start in 2012 and they could not fix it for over 4 years, i tried two cadillac dealer and the last dealer contact the engineering , after all gm engineering told me it unfixable.

2007 cadillac escalade - required 2 brake jobs under 50k miles compared to 2004 cadillac escalade owned by same driver that didn't need brake work until approximately 90k miles.driver is same for both vehicles, driving conditions for 2007 significantly improved, miles per calendar day, significantly less.driver does not tailgate or, ride brakes.dealer who's completed repairs has no explanation except possibly a hard brake situation(s) caused damage while brakes were heated up or, a hard brake situation(s) followed by the rotors getting wet, causing warp was issue.dealer pushes concept that driver is issue (changed driving habits - more aggressive driving or, conditions) vs. Premature brake wear caused by quality of components.dealer compares 2007 escalade brake wear to that of a 2006 srx drove by same person which needed brake work at 39k miles.when asked if the master cylinder could be applying too much pressure to rotors, dealer said we could speculate all day but was confident the master cylinder pressure was not the problem and reverts discussion to driver.seems odd since i drive fewer miles under less intense conditions.the 2004 escalade - was a full time sales manager traveling on highly populated roadways - chicago, cincinnati, indianapolis, minneapolis, in 'rush hour' traffic.the 2007 escalade - retired and drive minimally populated freeways and/or minor roadways in michigan.have not contacted gm because previous discussions with gm on other matters were met by representatives who didn't view they had a role in correcting.an o2 sensor replaced when first purchased was told not warranty item as it was my responsibility to keep damage from occurring to it.even though it's located outside/underneath vehicle and i have no knowledge of how to keep protected other than to ensure routine service.heard it was no different than gm not being responsible for a rock hitting the window and cracking it.appreciate your help!

Squeaking from front left wheel...brakes rubbing?took it to the dealer twice.first time they "adjusted" something in the braking system.second time they said before i brought it in that they would put new rotors on it when i came in again, so i brought it in and then the 65+ year old service people couldn't hear the squeak and my original service person wasn't there...so they said they did something...but now it is worse!i am glad to i spent 70k on a pos!

- the contact stated that upon receiving thec2007 cadillac escalade with 3 failure miles the retractable steps on both sides of the vehicle were not working.the contact heard a humming sound while driving, as if the steps were attempting to slide out.the vehicle wastaken to the dealer to be repaired, but there still had been no resolution to the problem.there have been 2 falls, resulting in injuriesdue to the retractable steps not working.the vehicle has not been repaired.

Crack on front dash appeared a couple of years ago.was told it was a common problem but no recall.today i now have three cracks and an estimate of almost $400 to replace the part.in a quick look online this problem appears to bevery common.i know there is a push to have gm replace this part at their expense as it appears to be defective.something i agree with and am in favor of.

2007 escalade makes a rattling noise at front and rear doors.the dealership acknowledge there was a problem, however they were unable to solve it.

Front passenger and driver's side door handles are very loose and falling off.

Dash crack on driverside.

Dashboard cracked while parked in driveway as a result of heat.

While trying to enter the vehicle the door handle came off in our hands not allowing us to enter the vehicle on a busy street. I contacted gm who has refused to replace it stating that my vehicle is out of warranty. However, given the overwhelming number of owners with this same issue, this is a design flaw and owners shouldn't have to pay for this $300 repair.

I purchased vehicle new and take extremely good care of my cars.over the years of owning the truck, all four door handles have fallen off the outside.one fell off the inside.and another door after a repair wouldn't open at all.i recently had my truck in due to the last outside door handle breaking.the service manager proceeded to tell me that i was opening the door wrong, and wasn't i ever inserviced on how to open a door when i bought it?really?i didn't know i needed an inservice, and how is their faulty equipment my fault?three of the 4 doors were under warranty.but after reading that this is a problem, i don't feel i should have had to pay for the forth door.

Issue is the door handles coming off last summer driver side and passenger.. Had extended warrantyand had to pay $100 per time since it happen at different times.. Looking now for return of my $200since i see dealers are replace for free..

2007 escalade tail gate came open on its own all cargo spilled onto the street . The car was in gear moving thru an intersection.this has happened once, then i stopped driving the vehiclei contacted cad they did not seem too interested or concerned because vehicle has 60k miles and is out of warranty.

The engine mount has been replaced three times and keeps braking, i can't afford to keep paying to replace it every six months, my mechanic says its been misdesigned, because the engine is too strong, he also said that it is a common problem for all of the vehicles with that size engine, my concern is, what is going to happen if i don't replace it anymore and it completely brakes? should this happens when i'm trying to cross a road with lots of traffic and i need to speed, i willbe stranded in the middle of the road and be hit by another car?also, another concern is that my transmission is going to get damaged, ever time i take off, i can feel how hard it hits the engine due to the movement allowed by the broken engine mount.

Approximately 2 weeks (03/18/11) prior to repairsthe front of the vehicle 2007 cadillac escaladehad a "shaking noise"the slower you drove the more noise it made.we took the vehicle to the dealership who quoted $1,000 for repairs.at the time we dropped it off the service manager made us aware that there was a "bulletin from general motors " about the problem that it was "normal wear and tear and they would not issue a recall."it was found by the dealership that the front jounce bumpers and front struts and mounts needed to be replaced.i contacted gm service line while it was still in the shop and had to pay for the repairs in order to have the vehicle to drive.i had numerous phone calls to gm and they stated "normal wear and tear" and your 50,000 bumper to bumper warranty does not cover it since it had 62,926 miles on it.i requested a district supervisor review and the outcome was the same.we have had cadillacs for 25+ years and some with 200,000+ mileson them and never had this type of problem and treatment from anyone.we received no satisfaction or consideration about our problem from gm except for them to repeatedly state "normal wear and tear."

"takata recall"i received a notification to file a claim. I contact the dealership and they said that i would need to contact takata and have them handle it.

Cracked dash - the dash is cracked and every model 2007-2011 that was made has a cracked dash. The new replacement dashes from gm now have reinforcements that the original equipment do not have. In the event that the air bag is deployed it would cause the plastic dash to fly around the driver and passenger compartment causing possibly fatal wounds!

My dashboard is cracking on both ends and the stability control has gone out twice.

Driving on the i10, semis all around, driving about 65 mph.my daughter and her friend in the vehicle.all of the sudden it felt like i hit a wall.all power went out, lost all speed, when the power flickered back on, lights only no speed, all the dashboard was lite up, everything was making a sound, the vehicle kept going from d -drive to p-park, the rpm were maxed-yet no speed.at 51k i noticed the vehicle shifting hard and took it in to a cadillac dealership, thousands of dollars later, it has continued to do the same thing, just two days ago 2-7-15, it is still doing the same thing.many times i have been in danger of loosing my life, am not exaggerating.my vehicle has only been touched by the dealership for all of its services and repair.this vehicle is extremely unsafe for driving.i have a book of all my service record documenting the same issue over, and over...........................................again. According to my research there are thousands of people experiencing the same problem, and cadillac just sits back, probably waiting for loss of lives.

The consumer decided to go with a much less expensive replica version. However, the replacement rims appeared to be of significantly less quality than the original rims. When the consumer hit a pothole, part of the rim sheared off.the original rims were stamped gm usa and the replacement rims were stamped gm india.
