While driving on a windy mountain road at approx 45 mph, going into a sharp left hand turn, the steering wheel would not turn any further. It felt as though the steering had gone out completely. This caused me to travel straight into an embankment and launch into the woods. No injuries. Air bags did not deploy. Radiator was bent into a u shape. No idea why none of the airbags didn't deploy

Passenger air bag sensor in seat, occupant sensor or pps, is faulty.check air bag warning alert remains on or is intermittent, even if no contents or person on passenger seat.very similar to gm recall 08373 for first generation cadillac cts occupant sensor for passenger airbag.if using the same design, and not corrected, the recall should be extended to the second generation cts vehicles.

The airbag indicator has come on.i own two cadillac vehicles and coincidentally the escalade has an airbag recall and, the same indicator light has illuminated on both vehicles.i am concerned that this recall is a potential hazard. We live in florida where it's hot, so we constantly drive in the sun. For the recall to be unresolved and now both indicators for airbags are illuminated i believe that this may be apart of this takata issue.see below 1unrepaired recallsassociated with this vin may 27,2016manufacturer recall number2049151 nhtsa recall number16v381 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summarytakata corporation ('takata') has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2007-2011 cadillac escalade, escalade esv, escalade ext, chevrolet avalanche, silverado 1500, suburban, tahoe, gmc sierra 1500, yukon, yukon xl, and 2009-2011 chevrolet silverado 2500/3500 and gmc sierra 2500/3500 vehicles. This is based upon takata's decision that front passenger airbag inflators it supplied to gm are defective. Gm has submitted to nhtsa a petition for inconsequentiality and nhtsa has granted gm until august 2017 to complete its investigation and to submit all data supporting the petition. If the petition is denied, gm will conduct a recall of the airbag inflators covered by takata's defect information report. For more information visit www.regulations.gov and search for docket no. If the propellant degrades to a certain level, the inflators may rupture during deployment, causing serious or fatal injuries.

Service air bag message. After double checking the wiring under passenger seat the warning light was off but then came back on a few minutes later. Rinse and repeated the scenario multiple times.obviously the same problen for which older models were recalled.

"cadillac recall"the brakes did not function properly on the vehicle. The brake light came on andat times the car did not immediately stop when brakes were pressed. As a result, i could no longer drive the vehicle and had to find other means of transportation. In addition, recalls and issue with this car have made the news.

The car airbag harness failed and it was replaced with part 20973030 .i was not reimbursed for this failure and the car has limited miles on it.it appears to be a regular problem with the cts harness system and should be on the recall list with other similar airbag problems general motors currently has.thanks[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Had just accelerated after stopping at red light, reaching approx 25mph when we heard a very loud grating metal grinding sound. Alarmed we immediately started to pull over when the side airbags deployed.we were able to get out of the flow of traffic and onto the side of the road.we were dazed trying to make sense of what had happened.my husband was the driver and had received a large cut on his left forearm .we had owned this cts for 10 weeks and had not as yet signed up for onstar . While trying to stop his bleeding i realized that the blow from the airbags had knocked my glasses off and i couldn't find my cell phone, i pushed the onstar button and gave them our information and they could not have been more helpful.after establishing that we were on the side of the road and out of immediate danger they arranged for a tow truck to take us to medved cadillac. As this was a sat. We were not able to speak with the repair dept. Until mon.we were told that gm had to give approval to repair the vehicle. Eighteen days later 6/26 we picked up the car and were told that the entire car and all systems had been checked and that it was safe. Four days later 6/30 i was driving home and heard a clacking noise. I stopped and looked at my tires thinking i had a flat. Proceeded the few blocks to get home really afraid to get back in this car. We were going to take it back to medved but drove a few blocks from home and stopped at a light.turned the corner heard a loud metal clunk, felt it on the floorboard as well.had no acceleration to speak of.i turned on the flashers and tried to get out of traffic.was able to coast home and call onstar.spoke to a gm rep at that time and he said to have it towed back to medved.the next day 7/2 we were told that the drive shaft bolts had been sheared off but it was repaired. I refused the car.

My cts was in a non gm authorized mechanics shop having oil change and brakes done. While working in the car i asked to have them look at my rear assist camera. The camera and wiring to the camera were actually smoldering at this point. My mechanic also told me that the transfer case was leaking and that the central drive shaft was bad. My mechanic removed the smoldering rear assist camera, put the cts back together and i drove it over to the cadillac dealership to have the warranty work done on transfer case and drive shaft. My mechanic also replaced the smoldering camera and gave it to me in a bubble wrapped bag along with wire harness. You can see where fire occurred on the camera and the smoldering wires. The service manager at crown cadillac gave me the product allegation phone number which i called and got a file number. I informed gm about the fire/smoldering rear assist camera and was told by [xxx] at the product allegation department that since the removal of the camera was not done by an authorized gm dealer that they would not cover the camera. I asked her if it made sense to leave a product in the car that was on fire and smoldering? this product could have been smoldering for 30 days when the rear assist camera quit working. My concern is this, the camera had been smoldering for some time. The camera was still smoldering and at one point obviously was in flames. I believe we dodged a bullet that the car did not erupt in flames and destroyed our 2000 corvette and f150 plus the house itself as we have an attached garage.the cts has other intermittent electrical issues such as seat heaters sometime work and sometimes they don't. The car when you turn it off will continue to run. Again intermittently. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

After a 45 minute drive and returning home i parked my car on the street in front of my home. The car drove perfectly normal as always and there was no indication of anything wrong with the car. There were no warning lights or anything else to indicate a problem with the car. I entered my house and as i walked pasted my kitchen window i could see flames coming out from under the hood on the driver side of the vehicle it was only a couple of minutes since from the time i entered my house. Within5 minutes the entire car was engulfed with flames. After the fire department extinguished then fire i asked what could have cause the fire. I was told it was probably an electrical or a fuel malfunction.

Due to the recent gm problems with ignition switch i wanted to file this complaint on my 2011 cadillac cts as i am not hearing my car mentioned for recall. Twice within the first couple months of owning the cts i started to accelerate into traffic from a stopped position and the car completely shut off like a light switch flipping.no sound was made but simply everything lost all power and forced me to coast into traffic...twice!!i threw the car into neutral to try and restart it with no luck.it wouldn't even turnover.i had to come to a full stop (coasting to side of road after having traffic fly by me on a 3 lane highway) and then the car would restart like nothing happened. I took the cts to ken dixon chevy/cadillac (now waldorf cadillac) in waldorf, md and also to capitol cadillac in greenbelt, md.the techs told me the car showed no errors on the computer and also they could find no fault on the car and returned it to me. One tech did mention something about a heavy keychain could cause this.i passed him my keys and he said that my keys certainly shouldn't cause that due to the light weight.i am still driving the car and this latest news from gm has me very scared to drive this car in washington, dc traffic and put me and my family at daily risk. I posted this problem on the edmunds.com cadillac cts car forum in march of 2012. No action was taken by gm customer service.

I purchased a new 2011 cadillac cts4 in august 2012 from herb chambers cadillac in lynnfield ma.since that time, i have driven the car approximately 60,000 miles.this problem affects virtually all (tens of thousands!) cadillac cts and srx vehicles built since 2008.after driving the car for a few months, i noticed that condensation appeared in the headlight assemblies after driving in or parking in the rain.the condensation would naturally evaporate during evaporate after the rain stopped.over time, the low beams became dimmer and dimmer.they have become so dim that driving in other than well-lit areas is dangerous.i contacted the mike anagnos, service manager at herb chambers cadillac.i presented the problem to him. Without inspecting the car, he stated that this was a common problem and that the headlights and headlight wiring harness needed to be replaced.he stated the replacement of two headlights cost would be $1400.00.he explained that the problem was caused by water ingress to the headlight assembly causing the headlight connectors to corrode and 'melt'.he offered no further explanation as to why two headlights would cost approximately 10% of the car's bluebook value.i asked him if the corroded wiring that melted presented a fire hazard.he did not reply.i believe that this presents a risk of under-hood fire.if you do an internet search on cts or srx dim headlights, you will find hundreds of complaints about this problem and the outrageous cost to repair.see also cadillacforum.com and justanswers.com my research indicated that when cadillac repairs these vehicles, they use the same parts that were used when the car was built...virtually guaranteeing that the problem will present itself again.this car is a danger to drive at night and a fire risk from the 'melted' wiring harness.

The approximate failure mileage was 29,000.

While driving home from work, approximately 35 miles into a 40-mile trip, my traction control warning light turned on.the driver information center (dic) indicated "service traction control, engine power reduced."the vehicle's power was then reduced, and i was unable to maintain my speed (approximately 52 mph), and my car slowed down due to a lack of power, and i was only able to achieve 40 mph.i pulled into a parking lot, turned the car off for about five minutes.i then restarted the car.the same warning light turned on and the dic showed the same information: "service traction control, engine power reduced."while i was attempting to complete my trip home, the warning light cleared, and the power in the car returned to normal.on 12/22/12 in the morning, i brought my car tomy local dealership for normal maintenance and to have the above problem investigated.nothing came of the investigation.on 12/26/12, again on my way home from work, about 39 miles into a 40-mile trip, the traction control warning light turned on, and the dic displayed the same information as before: "service traction control, engine power reduced."i immediately drove to the dealership.i ended up leaving the car there for two days and picked the car up on 12/28/12 evening.no problems were found.later that evening, the same event occurred, this time about 52 miles into a 55-mile trip. This same event has occurred once more last evening (12/31/12), again on the way home from work.the message cleared once i parked the car and waited a least a few minutes to allow the computer to reset(?)the same event has occurred four times since 12/21/12, and my concern is that at some point the power might be reduced at a critical time during one of my trips.i searched you database, and unfortunately, there are no other reports of a similar nature.

Driving to work went to stop and vehicle pull to the side and would not stop normal. I drove the vehicle to the dealer and the reported right rear hub not sensing speed signal and needed to replace and not covered under my warranty. I see gm and cadillac has had a lot of problems with this wheel hud and have recalled on other model years. These are $600.00 per wheel to replace and think that they should last longer than 39,000 miles. Would not want to have been driving at highway speeds when this fails.i contacted cadillac and they would not repair without charge.

Vehicle enters a mode at random that abruptly reduces and inhibits or stops the ability to accelerate. In certain situations this can cause dangerous conditions that can lead to accidents.as in my case, i was inmost struck by several vehicles because of the loss of acceleration and forward momentum as i initiated a turn at an intersection from one major artery onto another during rush hour traffic driving conditions. This hazardous and dangerous situation would not have existed of not for the sudden loss of power and acceleration by the vehicle entering this mode. On another instance at highway speed while attempting to change lanes to overtake a vehicle, the car entered this same mode, and was also almost struck because of the sudden deceleration and loss of power. This also occurred on a main artery in rush hour traffic as well, an accident was avoided in this instance as well due to the other vehicles ability to brake and veer away.

When getting onto the highway 2 miles from my home every morning, i accelarate from 45 miles an hour to about 65 and 70 miles an hour. Car starts shaking violently (feels like you are driving with 2 front flat tires) and engine light comes on. Most of the time it flashes for about 30 seconds and then goes off, and sometimes engine light comes on and stays on for about 30 seconds. Car loses power momentarily for about 30 seconds. I took car to the dealership the following day, and they found nothing wrong. I took the car to the dealer about 6 weeks later on april 27th 2014 when the problem was happening on a daily basis every morning only. Dealership kept car for 2 days and said they resolved problem. Exactly 2 days later same thing happened. Problem continues to this day but not on a daily basis. Not sure if that has something to do with the weather now that it is no longer winter. I will be making my third trip to the dealership in the next week for this same issue :shaking car, engine light on and momentary loss of acceleration power.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The consumer explained to the dealer about the vibration tear in the cloth shield he discovered, the tow truck driver brought two of the four that held the drive shaft together to the service representative. The dealer informed the consumer the vibration tear was a cigarette burn, and the drive shaft bolts falling out of the vehicle and bearing failure were issues address several times before. After the vehicle was returned to the consumer, there was low pitched whistle during light to moderate acceleration, which he did not hear when he first purchased the vehicle. Also, there was a light weight oil/fluid leaking from under the engine area. He noticed the fuel consumption range had dropped from 17-18 mpg to 15 mpg. The rear end felt less stable and there was a slight shift when coming off driveways or over uneven pavement. (2011 cadillac cts).

On 21 feb. While driving approximately 75 mph, a warning light came on indicating "service stability track control, engine power will be reduced. I suddenly lost power and luckily, the 18 wheeler that was behind me swerved to other lane to avoid rear end collision. I immediately put on my hazard indicator and was able to coast to the median. Luckily, i was not killed!. On searching, i have found this to be a common complaint that the manufacturer is well aware of but refuses to correct the issue...there are numerous complaints all over the internet regarding near death experiences because of this similarissue. What is it going to take, a death?

If i had known these headlights was such a problem would have never purchased vechile. At this time drivers side daytime running light is out. The lights are called hid/xenon leds.

Headlights dimming over time.car is barely drivable at night.dealer says i need to replace headlights and wiring harness.stated that wiring harness was likely melted.i estimate that headlights will be at total failure by 12/31.18.dealer wants $1200+ to replace headlights and defective wiring harness.cadillac refuses warranty support.at least two class action complaints have been filed in usdc. Fire risk!fire risk! fire risk!

Both rear taillights are separating from the body at the top. There is a gap of approx. 1/4-3/8 inch from the top peak of taillight to body. This is on a 2011 cadillac cts awd luxury wagon.

High mount brake light quit working. I replaced the light with a new light. I found out the body control module has gone out not the light and will be around $600 to replace. Since then i have noticed a lot of other cadillac cts high mount brake lights are out with the same problem.

This concerns the pwm frequency used on many led running lights being used on recent model cars.my wife is very sensitive to many of the new led running lights and refuses to drive at night because of them. The strobing of the led lights makes them appear to be in more than one place at the same time.this makes driving behind them and passing them very difficult for her.i don't notice it but she does and she will cover her eyes when we're out driving at night and get close to them.reading on the internet, she is not the only one who complains about these lights.as and electronics engineer i understand how pulse width modulated drive circuits are used to control the brightness of leds as well as their color temperature.however, i see no reason for the low frequency being used in automotive applications.certainly research has been done as to what pwm frequency is acceptable to 99.9% of the population.i think that leds have a bright future, including in vehicular applications, and am all for their use.however, they need to be driven in such a way that doesn't compromise the safety of others on the road.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. While driving, the headlights failed to respond without warning.

My cadillac cts 2011 has had a failure in the rear differential, twice since i have owned it.the first time was sept 2013 and the entire rear differential had to be replaced, and now jan 2016, the exact same issue has occurred.there is a service bulletin on the vehicle of sb11084 and an nhtsa item number 10038765.it is a same that this is a know problem and a recall has not been generated.the vehicle will be out of the powertrain warranty at the end of february so unless a recall is done, this will not be covered on its next failure in a year.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the contact heard an abnormal noise. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the drive train needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was excluded from nhtsa campaign number: 14v341000 (power train) although the failure was similar. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

Gm issued recall #n140233, nhtsa recall #14v341on aug.04, 2014.we took our car to an authorized gm dealer on sept. 14 at which time they ordered a replacement part (#34106) which gm has yet to supply as of this date, nov. 20, 2014.upon checking with another dealer we were told they too are having trouble getting the necessary part from gm.

Every time the automatic transmission is put in reverse and the vehicle wheels turned sharply to right or left, such as in backing- out of a tight parking space, the car labors to move backwards and binding noises emanate from differential or rear axle area of the car. This condition lessens and completely disappears as the steering wheel is returned to the straight forward or straight back position.i believe this condition has existed in earlier models of my vehicle and has been the subject of arecall. This malfunction has existed ever since i purchased the used car in june of 2016. Other than the described issue, the car has served me well.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. The contact statedwhile shifting gears it seized in reverse. The vehicle approached speeds up to 80 mph and only stopped after he crashed into a home. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not repaired nor was the failure diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

The gm rear differential is defective on this 2011 cadillac cts i own.nhtsa did an investigation on these rear differentials to include the 2004 to 2007 rear ends.the same rear end is on cadillac sts, cts-v and these rear ends were continued to be placed by gm, without fix,in cadillac cts until 2013.same design, same mechanical parts.my car is a 2011 that just had a new rear differential from gm put in to solve its issues.after installation, the same problems exist with a roaring and thumping noise that has been verified by repair shops coming from the old and new rear differential.these issues are either with the side differential carrier bearings and/or the ring and pinion system.gm has never provided a fix except to recommend a different viscosity of fluid that only quietens down the noise.eventually, the rear ends have catastrophic failure and have caused, as investigated by the nhtsa, the car to spin and injury or worse result.this issue has never been fixed by gm and they continue to sell and install rear differentials for which there is no fix.i discussed this also at length with service manager of sewell cadillac in dallas texas and they state that they replace these rears all of the time and that there is not fix for them by gm.i have enclosed my complaint to the repair shop that put the new gm rear end on my car without exercising their due diligence and research as to installing a major component on a car for which there is no fix by gm and the distinct possibility of a failure that would cause injury or death.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 25 mph, there was an abnormal noise coming from the vehicle which caused the vehicle to not accelerate. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was shifted to neutral and back to drive and failed to respond. The vehicle was also shifted in reverse and failed to respond. The vehicle was towed to rohrich cadillac 2116 w liberty ave, pittsburgh, pa 15226 where they informed the contact that there was a spline between the transfer case and the transmission that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number to the contact. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.

The contact owns a 2011 cadillac cts. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 14v341000 (air bags, power train)exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The dealer stated that the parts needed were unavailable for repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the delay. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced the failure.

In 2014 gm issued a recall on the supersharger for the 2010 to 2015 cadillac cts v and the cameo zr1 i didn't receive any notice about it. I am registered on the gm recall site i just found out about the recall now i am having the issue i called gm and there saying my car is out of mileage but it wasn't in 2014 and i only let the dealer work on it and they didn't say anything and when i spoke to gm she couldn't find any proof they notified me about the recall how can i get them to repair my car under the recall like they should have?my attorney said try to get your help first because you can make them comply i would appreciate a speedy response to if you can help methank you.

Driving on a curvy country road the engine suddenly died, i lost power steering and almost ran off the road. I was able to coast to a stop. I put the car in park and it started immediately. The car does not have an ignition key, only a fob. The engine is 3.6 cts 4. I drove 2 miles back home and parked the car and will not drive it again until a resolution is obtained for the problem.

I just returned from my local cadillac dealer and had to replace the left rear wheel hub and sensor. This is the third time i have had top replace the wheel hubs as the last 2 were the right rear and left front ones.i am curious to know if this is an ongoing problem related to any specific disclosed or non disclosure by cadillac. I questioned the service advisor at cadillac and he suggested that i hang onto the damaged parts and invoices for the repairs. I inquired further with the service advisor if this was an outstanding issue with this model and he suggested that there have been problems with 2008-2012 cadillac wheel hubs. I wanted to alert nhtsa to this and suggest that maybe there should be some input from cadillac with regards to an issue that should be looked at further.

I purchased a new 2011 cadillac cts coupe.it continuously makes a groaning sound which appears to be coming from the rear part of the drive train. The dealer changed thedifferential fluid to correct the problem. However, the problem remains. I believe this sound is produced by a defective component in the drive train (differential, bearings etc.), which willultimately lead to a component failure that can cause a serious accident.

Recaro seats squeak and rock in their mounts. Not secured properly. Annoying and if the mounts fail, the driver would be out of position and car could crash. Have been doing this since the car was new, and i'm not the only one having this problem.

While in reverse, front steering seams to skip. It feels like a 4wd. I took it to an authorized dealer and they told me it was normal. They even showed me a bulletin from gm that explained the problem was normal and to do no repairs. After driving 15,000 miles, it has steadily gotten worse. I took it in again. Again they told me it was normal. While there, they tried to sell me new tires because my rear tires are bald. They said it was from high speed starts.i explained that a 73 year old person(my wife) is not out drag racing and there for, they must be defective tires. They contacted continental tires(the maker of the tires) whom replaced the tires, but stated 15 to 20 thousand miles are average for those tires. At $500 each, i would expect to get more miles out of the tires. Not happy at all.

Car making cracking noise when driving and turning steering wheel. Gm refuses to do anything, car is like brand new 37,000 original owner.

When backing out of driveway and turning the steering wheel to the right we noticed a pronounced thump that was very noticeable and worrisome.we checked with the dealer and couldn't find the problem and the dealer checked with general motors who said it was a design flaw and couldn't do anything about it. It has been doing the same thing up to this date.the thump is so great we wonder if it is not damaging the car.

My husband was driving in our community, about 15 mph. He made a right hand turn and the control arm snapped in half, the wheel broke off and the frame came crashing to the ground. We have owned the car for less than 3 weeks.aaa towed the car to the nearest dealership.the dealership refuses to fix the car under the manufacturer's warranty claiming that the car had to have been in an accident.we have neighbors who heard the thud and came to see what happened.there was no accident/collision.we have driven the car a couple hundred miles. This shouldn't have happened.cadillac told us we needed to file a claim with our insurance company.the dealership estimates $12,000 in damage.

Power steering will intermittently fail at all speeds causing the car to become very hard to steer at lower speeds and difficult to control at higher speeds.warning is displayed in the dic that reads "service power steering"no visible cause can be found. Fluid levels are in spec. Tire pressure is in spec.when failure occurs at low speed, the steering becomes very stiff. When failure occurs at higher speed, steering becomes stiff effecting control.

Driving down road and slowed down to veer into left turn lane and power steering failed. Steering became very stiff and very difficult to steer.managed to get car into left lane and came to a stop. Lucky it was not my wife driving as she would of had great difficulty steering car.put car in park and wiggled steering wheel back and fourth. Steering took several rotations of steering wheel but came back after 10 seconds or so.decided to proceeded home.did not drive again until day i took to dealer.dealer says the seal is leaking and rack needs to be replaced at cost of almost $2000.00 car just went out of warranty about 4 months ago.had major oil leak in may that required engine to be pulled. That was covered by warranty but dealer and corp refusing to fix this issue. Car has been maintained in excellent condition, garaged and driven respectfully. No accident history.

2 problems.first, for the recall for the keychain, can the dealership not just mail me and give me the keychain upon arrival?most dealerships seem to insist that they have to check the vehicle out, which means i would have to leave it or wait.second, someone rear ended me, totaling the vehicle (los - perhaps as much as $13,000, as i did not have collision insurance.i believe that i might have avoided the accident, but he came out of a right rear blind spot.i often had trouble seeing people back there, and i believe the large right rear blind spot is a design defect.i would like to know if others have complained about the same thing.the vehicle was in motion, just coming off a freeway, ending and changing to a surface street, very busy road, very busy time of day.i was exiting the freeway, the other car cut in and was going straight.thank you!

S10 appropriate handling- letter to the secretary from constituents re copy of letter to mary barra, chairman and chief executive officer (ceo), general motors expressing dissatisfaction with after service care.the consumer stated there was a loud ticking noise coming from the vehicle, when it was started. The dealer inspected the vehicle, and assured the consumer the vehicle was dependable. On may 27, 2014 the consumer felt a mild vibration through the steering wheel.the dealer stated the balance was off, but everything was fine. On june 15, 2014, while driving, the consumer heard a loud bang, then a rough ticking sound and felt a shudder through the steering wheel. He gently braked and pulled over to the shoulder, inspected the vehicle, but found nothing wrong. After the vehicle was inspected again, and being told there was nothing wrong. He continued to experience a vibration through the steering wheel, and the thumping became more pronounced. Also, the vehicle lurched and a loud bang and heavy vibration, was flt throughout the car.

When driving vehicle at low speeds into and up a right hand driveway there is a loud creaking sound coming from the rear of the sunroof. It does not creak going up a left hand driveway. The creaking is predominately at the rear and to the right of the sunroof. At normal driving speeds the creakingis heard over moderate to large bumps. The creaking has been going on since day 1 when i bought the car brand new.

"cadillac recall"the brakes did not function properly on the vehicle. The brake light came on andat times the car did not immediately stop when brakes were pressed. As a result, i could no longer drive the vehicle and had to find other means of transportation. In addition, recalls and issue with this car have made the news.

Purchased car (coupe)new with appx. 2k miles (had been used at golf tournament). A week after i purchased, the drivers side door did not open and i was not aware of emergency lever. I called onstar and they were able to unlock it. In the 3years that i owed it, the car locked me in numerous times. Two different dealers could not find anything wrong with one dealer keeping the car for almost a week trying to figure it out and i was told there were no service alerts.there was also an incident where i was about 10 feet from the car and the interior and exterior lights started flashing for no reason and again the dealers could not explain it. I have since sold the car because i did not want to be dependent on onstar or an emergency lever.

I was traveling south on rt 10 providence rhode island when i hit a pot hole, that split the wheels diametrically, and deflating the tires.the wheels are manufactured by tsw, jarama, 20 x8.5 5x120 et35, and 20 x10 5 x120 et35 respectively.when the wheels split, i lost control of the car, but managed to get the car over to the side of the highway.i called the ri state police and filed an incident report.my concern is the wheels spit similarly even though they are of different sizes, different batches, and split the same.this resulted in a very dangerous situation, and i thought would be important to report the incident.i did contact the manufacturer, and they said i must of hit something significant to cause two wheels to break.my perspective is they failed identically which suggests a design issue, and a not a product issue.
