I called the dealership(katherine cole who sold us the run flat tires), tweeted gm. No one at this point has been the least bit interested in what i had i to say. After my crash, on august 11, 2014, i have found severalother ats owners that experience the same exact issue..my daughter and i suffered terrible injuries, crash and totaled my car. I also am finding that there maybe a tire issue because of fast wear after only 7,000 miles. What, is gm or the tire manufacture or these safety org. Waiting for someone to die?i sent in a complaint in about my 2014 cadillac ats causing me to have a near fatal car accident. Gm is claiming that the tires were worn and speed caused the accident, which is false. My car only had 7500 miles ( car was purchased with only 256 miles) and the tires were not worn!the car was just in for service for it?spremium care lease maintenance, the service advisor would have mentioned that at time! the speed was caused from the accident. My daughters abdomen was injured from the seat belt too! between gm and michelin tires i am getting no where, they are pointing the finger to each other when i voted for you i thought you would fight for michiganders! how would you feel if i were your family member. I was involved in a car crash on 8-11-14. My husband brought my a 2014 cadillac ats for my birthday. A few months after ownership i noticed that when it rained the car would hydroplane but the stabilitrak would make the vehicle jump back into it's lane. My husband thought i was being a brat, so i told him to drive the car. He took the car for a test drive and less than minutes into his test drive he said, ?call thedealership and get these [xxx] tires off this car now? ! i called the dealership ([xxx]) and left a message with [xxx] [xxx] and explained the problems with the tires and to switch to regular tires not the runflat tires. She never called me back. A few days later, my daughter and i crashed. The car hydroplaned and lost control we hit two tress and took down a one way sign. My daughter and i suffered horrible injuries. I made a claim with gm esis dept., they denied my claim stating that the tires were worn and speed. I had no more 5000 miles at the time of the crash. There is no way the tires were worn nor speed. I took my car in for the lease maintenance package the dealership (suburban cadillac) did tire rotation and at time there was no mentation of my tire thread wearing down. When i mentioned to service dept about the problems with the tires the explanation i was given is that the run flat tires are like the big wheel (child plastic tricycle from the 80's) tires when it rains that's why plus tire are low profile. I contacted my state attorney general (no help), bbb (going through procedures currently), ftc (made a complaint), and contacted nhtsa(no help at all) to get help for an investigation and for gm. Air bag light is on,and continues to remain as such.vehicle service light test was completed.
While driving 70 mph on an interstate; drove into rough median going at a downhill angle.hit two culverts (made of steel and concrete), one of which sent the car airborne.the car landed into oncoming interstate traffic and did a 180 turn before coming to a rest. The strut came up through the hood of the car, and the front end of the car was torn up very badly, as was the rear bumper.the front two tires were pointing in different directions.the car was later declared a total loss.the airbags did not deploy, nor did the onstar service respond (paid monthly fees for over 4 years).

My 2014 cadillac ats was recalled due to faulty auto rear window defogger. I took my vehicle to local cadillac dealer and they disconnected the auto defogger. They said that this was the fix ordered by gm. I can now operate my rear defogger manually only.my auto option no longer works. I called gmto see if they would reimburse me for taking away my use of this feature in my car. They said they would not. Gm stated that this was a permanent fix for this faulty feature was to disconnect it. So if you can look into this matter if would be greatly appreciated. Gm should repair the faulty part or reimburse all who are affected by this recall.
The cue infortainment system is faulty. Besides controlling the radio functions, it controls the bluetooth and ac settings. The screen freezes all the time and bluetooth is dropping or pausing the calls creating safety hazards while driving. In georgia is illegal to touch your phone while driving but because this fault in the cue screen a cadillac owner has to touch the phone to unblock or unmute the call. It is a very known defect on multiple cadillac vehicles, cadillac is aware of it but refuses to do anything to fix it
The car fails to audibly indicate to the driver that the turning signals have been engaged.instead of a click, chime, or other indicator, there is silence.the result is that the driver does not have feedback from the vehicle indicating / verifying that that a turn signal has been engaged.the driver may become distracted and may not know when/if a turn signal has been triggered.the turn signal indicator seems to be connected to the radio system.thus, when the radio system faults (which often occurs on this model), these turn signal indicators also fail.the failure will occur randomly when stationary and driving at surface and highway speeds.

Started my car one day and the cue screen was black and unresponsive.i do not have any features needed to feel safe in my car (back up screen, radio, bluetooth, navigation, air conditioning, temperature control, etc.)
My cadillac que system is completely unresponsive and delaminated. This is a known issue with the 2014 cadillac ats. The screen on the que has been completely frozen and delaminated for quite some time now and i am unable to use any features with my queue. This happens if the vehicle is in motion or at a stop the queue is just gone.
The car is under full factory warranty. It has been to the cadillac dealer 6 times for the same issue. The cadillac ats has adaptive forward lighting and the headlights randomly will not properly align which causes poor visibility, often at highway speeds. The misalignment does not always occur during first start up, and can occur during highway travel. The headlight failures consist of either headlight pointing up and sometimes both headlights point upward so much that the highway is difficult to see. I have been forced to pull to the side of the roadway and shut the car down, open the door and then restart the vehicle. I have also encountered both headlights pointing downward, causing very poor highway visibility. The adaptive forward lighting system has failed on many cadillac vehicles as a search on any cadillac forum will attest. The dealership has reflashed the headlight controller, replaced the headlight controller and replaced one headlight. These actions and repair orders prove that the dealership has verified the issues with the headlight system, but the adaptive forward headlight system has continued to fail. The vehicle has been delivered to the cadillac dealership 6 times for the same issue. I have documented most of the headlight system failures, when possible and safe to do so,with pictures and videos. That information has been offered to the dealership, however they will not acceptthe dated pictures or videos as proof of an issue. Though the vehicle may sit at the dealership for up to 5 days, if they cannot duplicate the issue (during daylight ?), the result is no action taken to correct the headlight issue. Misalignmentof the vehicles headlights should be considered a safety related failure.
While driving the car at about 15 to 20 miles an hour the car came to a complete stop. There was a total shut down of the electrical system. The emergency blinkers could not be engaged, the car could not be shifted. The car was towed into the shop, the dealer advised me the engine failed and a new engine was put into the car by the dealer. We have owned the car for two months.
54,189 miles on car currently. Since june of 2019 my car/engine will completely shut off at a red light, or a coming to astop sign (basically completely stopped or coming to a stop). Its even shut off while in reverse. When this happens, the gear is still in drive. So i then have to put the car in park,press the brake and start it again. It sputters to start again, but it starts. Its getting more frequent, with it stopping up to 3 times at one stop light, and then having to restart it again. There are no codes on the dash. Ive brought my car into crest cadillac multiple times to try and diagnose this issue. They cannot find the root cause, and it still happening most recently today!there is a new battery, alternator testing in good condition. They have tested the battery cables/lines. This is incredibly frustrating. My car has stopped on me when trying to accelerate and turn into a lane and i was almost hit bc my engine completely shut off. I also called gm and was told without a diagnosis they cant help. Ive spent so much money on diagnostic tests with no answers. I need help please

The contact was provided an estimate for the repair, but was informed that the repair was not guaranteed to fix the failure. Cue dashboard console screen keeps cracking and becoming inoperable. This is the second time this has happened in 4 years. The first time it was under warranty, this second time it is not.
Stated recall was to "repair" the automatic shut off of the rear window defogger/defroster.it was supposedly resolved by deactivating the shut off mechanism.supposedly, if the automatic shut-off did not activate, the contacts could fail and there could be a fire.my concern is what happens now if i forget to shut off the defroster/defogger.in the manual it says the system was timed for a set time, then would shut off.then the automatic control supposedly would turn the defroster/defogger back on but for a shorter interval.to me that means, the time factor is important and probably was there to prevent a fire.my contactwith gm's service center had a number of requests in priority order.those further down my list were wild ideas to put my mind totally at rest about driving such acar.none of my requests were granted. Below are in priority order what i requested.!. Persons who brought in the car for the recall should be reminded that the system was no longer automatic and they should be mindful of the need to shut off the system.2. A card or memory stimulating decal be provided to serve as a reminder to shut off the "automatic system".3. That gm provide assurances to owners that this work around system was an effective way or resolving the problem and not cause a potential fire.now my selfish requests.4. Gm guarantee me that if a fire did occur as a result of this issue they would coverall repairs.5. Most selfish:gm allow me to opt out of my lease so i didn't have toworry about the whole issue.(i know that would never happen, but i thought it would exert somepressure to get the top ones done at least
As i was driving my screen went blank while i was using my navigation system to get around and ended up being lost and had to stop and ask for directions on how to get back home. The cue system went down.
I turned a corner, drove through some sand on the road and broke traction. After that, the traction control system lights came on and within several seconds the check engine light came on. I had onstar service run remote diagnostics and they found abs failing and a cylinder misfire. The car took an immediate loss in power and started to shake at all power levels.

I have researched and found other owner that have experienced the same exact problems,but i am the only person that almost died. Gm is giant company and i have no voice for the companies/organizations that are supposed to assist me. Gm they claimed that my tires were worn when i purchased my car it had only 2886 miles and when i crashed i had a little over 7,000 miles, that is impossible for my tires to have been worn! gm is obliviously trying to cover the issue

0n more than five occasions the vehicle has accelerated when coming to a stop. I've had to hit the brakes and shift into neutral to get the rpm's back to normal.the last 2 times my wife has been with me in the car ,she now refuses toride in the car. I've had the car in for repairsthree time specifically for that problem. The car will run fine for a short time then all of a sudden the same old problem of accelerating when slowing down or coming to a stop. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and would like the lease terminated a.s.a.p.

Afraid to drive my vehicle. I took the vehicle in under warranty because the car lost power on the off ramp from the highway. The air conditioning shut off, and i then noticed nothing on the car was working, brakes, steering, engine!! the dealer could not duplicate the issue. This past friday it happened again at rush hour and my wife almost got into a serious accident. I am now out of warranty and have a car i am afraid to drive. I have found some other posts of this issue, but no resolution. This should be a recall for safety and if they cannot fix, the car should be replaced.

The engine stalls while driving, with out any alert.it has stalled on three different dates since i leased the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2014 cadillac ats. While driving 25 mph, the temperature gauge increased and the vehicle began to overheat. All the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact was unaware if smoke was present from under the hood. The vehicle was taken to braman miami (2060 biscayne blvd, miami, fl 33137, (305) 720-2629) to be diagnosed, but the dealer stated that there were no factory warranties on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed no recalls or warranties per the vin. The failure mileage was 70,000. The vin was invalid.
My new cadillac with only 6700 miles on it had to have a brand new engine put it because of bad pistons. This is a very common thing for cadillac ats models. If you go on the cadillac forums website, you will see many other cadillac owners having the same problem.

Upper and lower control arm bushings steering knuckle defective from factory and blown piston number 1 at 6350 milesand many recalls.

The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The driver was able to pull over to the side of the road, the vehicle occupants were able to exit the vehicle safely before the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a total lot as it was destroyed by the fire. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacture was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,500.
There has been 2 occasions my brand new car has stalled and lost power. Both times the car has sat for over an hour. When i get into vehicle it starts up and i take off. Within a minute the vehicle is stalling and fails to accelerate. Each time i have taken it into cadillac and they can't find a problem because it did not register in the computer system nor does a test drive discover problem. The real concern is if i'm crossing an intersection and the vehicle stalls and i'm in an accident. I don't want to be a statistic waiting for gm to find this problem.

The "check engine" indicator came on, soon thereafter, "stabilitrak" and "engine power is reduced" indicators came on.ten minutes later, the car shut down in the middle of the highway.after 10-15 minutes, the car started up again with the "check engine" light still on.car was repaired at a cadillac dealership. Service representative advised that it was necessary to solder some wires/terminals behind the right rear wheel well fender liner.a service bulletin (pie0291b) identified this problem. This same exact problem arose in mid-february.the remedy at that time was to replace the throttle body.hopefully, this new remedy will work now that there is a service bulletin to assist with the diagnosis.
I bought this car new on 1/16/14.on 2/19/14 the engine light came on and the engine lost power.i took it to the dealer and they replaced a sensor assembly.on 3/18/14 the same thing happened and the car lost power.the mileage was about 1,500..now i am being told that there is a problem that the engineers at gm are looking into but no fix is in sight..the first two times i lost power i was in town but if this happenedon the highway it could be a real problem.i feel gm has a major problem and they do not want to be honest.i am being told nothing other then they are working on the problem.
The cue system became unresponsive about 5 months ago and will randomly change my radio stations. Today the film under the touchscreen looks cracked like it is spider webbing. This is the second cue system in my car since i bought it brand new. The first one failed after 2 years and was covered under my warranty. This second one stopped working after two years as well. It is sad that they put a product in a $56,000 car that cannot last longer than 2 years.

My ats is equiped with the adaptive forward light which has an auto-leveling and calibration feature.this malfunctions infrequently causing the headlights to be aimed too high and blind oncoming traffic.the car need to be complete shutoff then restarted to trigger the recalibration process to fix this intermittent issue.
The car has a cracked cue screen from the inside which operates all the functions for defrosting, air-conditioning, and heating.the only way to use any of the air/heat is to have the auto button. The options on the steering wheel do not work at all. This has now become a very verysevere safety issuewhen driving the vehicle and you need to have the front windshield clear.i also subscribe to siriusxm radio and you cannot use the radio at all from the cue system or the steering wheel to change the channels or volume. The cruise control is not operable at all because it is set up on the steering wheel .cadilac should assume responsibility for the entire cue system since you can only use half of the functions in the vehicle.
Driving on highway approximately 70mph. Vehicle suddenly bucked twice, a few seconds later a check engine light appeared and reduced power appeared in the message center. The vehicle started to slow its speed. I had three miles until next off ramp. Vehicle continued to slow as i got it off he highway. Once off the highway i pulled over and the vehicle stalled. I noticed fuel gauge was reading empty, before problem was approx. 1/4 tank. Vehicle know had a heavy fuel smell. I had vehicle towed home. The following day i investigated the problem. ( i am a professional mechanic with over 30 years of experience. ) the fuel gauge read empty and vehicle would not start. I added approx. 1 gallon of fuel and tried to start the vehicle. Gasoline immediately poured from a fuel line at the rear of the engine. I removed the engine cover and noticed the high pressure fuel pump was loose from the engine. I checked the supply fuel line and it was very loose or broken. Realizing damage was comprehensive and should be covered under warranty i towed car to dealership for repair. The dealership was very uncooperative and charged me for the replacement of a broken fuel line. I asked the dealership to investigate why the pump came loose from the cylinder head. They said it just happens and it was retorqued to factory specs. That vehicle was not test driven after repairs were made, i was told it was but it had no gas registering on the gauge and the mileage had not changed from time of drop off. I picked up vehicle from dealership, put a half a tank of fuel in vehicle at the closest fuel station and drove it home cautiously. I will not be driving vehicle again until i get more answers. I believe a serious fire is possible if the fuel line breaks again very lucky it did not happen the first time because of the fuel pump coming loose from the engine.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac ats. The contact stated that the gear shifter ceased in park. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact called the ed morse cadillac tampa dealer located at 101 e fletcher ave, tampa, fl 33612, and was advised to bring the vehicle in for a diagnostic test. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 14v338000 (power train) and was informed that the recall was closed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
Rear left/rear right axle seals leaking reported to me on 06/01/2020 while 2014 ats was in for service for tires and coolant leak mileage 71,538. I was advised it's a very slow drip and it doesn't need to be taken care of right away but to keep an eye on it vebally over the phone. I looked back on my service records and the leak was detected on 03/20/2020 by the dealer but r.0 closure date is noted as 03/18/2020 i was not made aware of a critical repair needed on the drive axle (rear differential leak) odometer on 03/18/2020 59,750. The seals should not be breaking at this mileage... This should be covered under warranty. It's a massive issue with the cadillac ats. This is going to cost around $1500.00 to fix now... Which is obsurd. This is a safety hazard to drive the car like this as per many online reports that i've read online.
Car failure multiple times when stopped. Car shuts down when stopping at stoplights stopsigns. Rpm's fall to zero, then car shuts down. Sometimes it will shudder before shutting down. When starting car back up, it will shudder and slowly try to start. This has put me in some dangerous situations on the road.
Transmission shift cable - transmission gear selection does not match the indicated gear causing the vehicle to move in an unintended or unexpected direction.i was backing up and went to put the gear in drive and i pressed the gas but the car went backwards. I hit the brake and attempted to move the gear handle and it shifted forward very loosely. Although it displayed drive on the gearbox, when i pressed the gas the car would still go in reverse. Capital cadillac in smyrna, ga later confirmed that the shift cable needed to be replaced but never mentioned this recall "general motors (gm) is recalling approximately 90,750 model year 2013-2014 cadillac ats, and 2014 cadillac cts vehicles. The transmission shift cable on the affected ats and cts vehicles may detach from either the bracket on the transmission shifter or the bracket on the transmission. In fact, i was told by the service advisor at capital cadillac that the part is on back order and that he didn't know when it would come in.
The contact owns a 2014 cadillac ats. While the vehicle was parked with the engine running, the contact's mother opened the driver's door and the vehicle came out of gear and rolled backwards. The front driver side tire ran over her feet. Medical attention was required. The contact's mother sustained fractures of the left foot and contusions of the right hip, and upper left arm. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms as listed in nhtsa campaign number: 14v338000 (power train). 0n more than five occasions the vehicle has accelerated when coming to a stop. I've had to hit the brakes and shift into neutral to get the rpm's back to normal.the last 2 times my wife has been with me in the car ,she now refuses toride in the car. I've had the car in for repairsthree time specifically for that problem. The car will run fine for a short time then all of a sudden the same old problem of accelerating when slowing down or coming to a stop. Afraid to drive my vehicle. I took the vehicle in under warranty because the car lost power on the off ramp from the highway. The air conditioning shut off, and i then noticed nothing on the car was working, brakes, steering, engine!! the dealer could not duplicate the issue. This past friday it happened again at rush hour and my wife almost got into a serious accident. I am now out of warranty and have a car i am afraid to drive. I have found some other posts of this issue, but no resolution. This should be a recall for safety and if they cannot fix, the car should be replaced.

Is not associated w/any recall per cadillac.towed it to cadillac and they stated that the problem is the cable that is connected to your transmission or shift lever got detached.further they stated that this particular part is not covered under my extended warranty.it appears to be a safety issue and it is similar to the gm recall no. 14179.

Parking brake will fail to disengage fully (when disengaging the parking brake) or partially engage on its own while driving.the result is that the car experiences increasing dragging, poor acceleration, and sudden stopping.the console brake light fails to illuminate in all instances and fails to inform the driver that the parking brake has engaged.when releasing the parking brake from a parked state, the parking brake pedal raises and indicates to the driver that that it fully been has disengaged.the parking brake light also turns off.however, when the parking brake is engaged after driving the car, the driver discovers that there is no resistance/pushback on parking brake and that it failed to release in the first instance.again, in these instances the brake warning light is not illuminated.this issue has occurred in several instances in northing california under dry and fair weather.
The front collision warning/auto braking feature malfunctioned at 45mph and flashed collision warning in hud and slammed on the brakes full force with no objects/cars anywhere near the vehicle.if someone had been behind us the car would have hit us.

The car fails to audibly indicate to the driver that the turning signals have been engaged.instead of a click, chime, or other indicator, there is silence.the result is that the driver does not have feedback from the vehicle indicating / verifying that that a turn signal has been engaged.the driver may become distracted and may not know when/if a turn signal has been triggered.the turn signal indicator seems to be connected to the radio system.thus, when the radio system faults (which often occurs on this model), these turn signal indicators also fail.the failure will occur randomly when stationary and driving at surface and highway speeds.

Intermittent electric power steering assist failures.failures seem to occur most often when the car is cold and backing out of drive way or parking spaces. Power steering will work for a very short period then fail leaving typically when in the middle of a backing maneuver when leaving my drive and entering traffic.turning car off and restarting will reset the electric power steering assist.this is particularly dangerous in crowded parking areas when i need to turn the car off and restart while blocking traffic.the frequency seems to be increasing for the failures but dealer does not seem to be able to reproduce.

The cadillac cue glass is spider cracking. This unit has been replaced one already. It seems to occur when stationary or over night
As i was driving my screen went blank while i was using my navigation system to get around and ended up being lost and had to stop and ask for directions on how to get back home. The cue system went down.

The cue infortainment system is faulty. Besides controlling the radio functions, it controls the bluetooth and ac settings. The screen freezes all the time and bluetooth is dropping or pausing the calls creating safety hazards while driving. In georgia is illegal to touch your phone while driving but because this fault in the cue screen a cadillac owner has to touch the phone to unblock or unmute the call. It is a very known defect on multiple cadillac vehicles, cadillac is aware of it but refuses to do anything to fix it
I discovered while my car was parked in the garage that the right front tire had a protruding sidewall next to the rim, with about a 4-inch split and exposed steel belt.on the same day i had the tire replaced for $293.61.within the next week i discovered that all of the other three tires began showing protruding sidewalls. Note that the electronic inflation history shows no significant deviation from normal pressures. There were no crashes involving the vehicle. All 4 tires were the originals from the gm factory.neither cadillac, where the first tire was replaced, nor michelin, the manufacturer, offer any warranty or credit toward replacement of any of the four tires.these tires appear to be defective with the potential safety issue for sudden blowout.there does not appear to be any external cause for this defect to occur at only 10,000 miles. The michelin model # is 225/40r18.my local cadillac service manager has stated that this has been reported to gm, and they will not assume any responsibility.
The vehicle shakes while idling,happens all the time. The dealer ship verified that there is engine vibration due to defect in engine motor mounts. Its very scary feeling. Feels like the engine will shut off.
I called the dealership(katherine cole who sold us the run flat tires), tweeted gm. No one at this point has been the least bit interested in what i had i to say. After my crash, on august 11, 2014, i have found severalother ats owners that experience the same exact issue..my daughter and i suffered terrible injuries, crash and totaled my car. Gm is claiming that the tires were worn and speed caused the accident, which is false. My car only had 7500 miles ( car was purchased with only 256 miles) and the tires were not worn!the car was just in for service for it?spremium care lease maintenance, the service advisor would have mentioned that at time! the speed was caused from the accident. My daughters abdomen was injured from the seat belt too! between gm and michelin tires i am getting no where, they are pointing the finger to each other when i voted for you i thought you would fight for michiganders! how would you feel if i were your family member. On may/13/2014, at 10 am i had to travel less than 2 miles from my own house to my podiatric doctor, the car was stationary till the end of my appointment about 30 minutes.upon going back to my house i notice some like scratches on the dashboard screen that house all controls, such to platy a radio station etc.the are on the right side of such screen about 2 inches wide and all the way to the top.on may/16/2016 i called baker cadillac of charleston sc, explain what it had happen, were told to bring the car so they could look at it, some we did on may/24/2016, were told that will need to order the part and will let me know when they had it, i had to insist for the person to write an order, some he did but not vey happy.while we were waiting for the form to be ready another employee told us that if we see a red light not to drive and that had happen on other vehicles and they are several pieces of plastic on that configuration, upon returning home a long about 1.1/4 inch red light appeared on the left side of such screen, as today may/28/2016 the vehicle is not been out of my garage and it will be there till the time to take to dealer to be repaired.on may/26/2016 we got a phone call from the dealer baker cadillac to let us know that the part was available and were given an appointment for june/01/2016 at 11 am and will take 1 to 1.1/2 hour to be replaced.i was big surprise that the part got there 2 days latter, i took a picture but is not very clear, upon being at the dealer i will try to obtain a picture there and if possible once is removed from my vehicle and if possible to see if they could give it to me.i think that this problem should be investigate..
The cue system became unresponsive about 5 months ago and will randomly change my radio stations. Today the film under the touchscreen looks cracked like it is spider webbing. This is the second cue system in my car since i bought it brand new. The first one failed after 2 years and was covered under my warranty. This second one stopped working after two years as well. It is sad that they put a product in a $56,000 car that cannot last longer than 2 years.

White hazy web like obstruction suddenly appeared on the display of the cue system.it obstructs 35% of the screen and makes it difficult to utilize the back up camera. It was fine one day and then the obstruction appeared the next day.it is garage stored and i have 44,000 original miles.
I was involved in a car crash on 8-11-14. My husband brought my a 2014 cadillac ats for my birthday. A few months after ownership i noticed that when it rained the car would hydroplane but the stabilitrak would make the vehicle jump back into it's lane. My husband thought i was being a brat, so i told him to drive the car. He took the car for a test drive and less than minutes into his test drive he said, ?call thedealership and get these [xxx] tires off this car now? ! i called the dealership ([xxx]) and left a message with [xxx] [xxx] and explained the problems with the tires and to switch to regular tires not the runflat tires. She never called me back. A few days later, my daughter and i crashed. The car hydroplaned and lost control we hit two tress and took down a one way sign. My daughter and i suffered horrible injuries. I made a claim with gm esis dept., they denied my claim stating that the tires were worn and speed. I had no more 5000 miles at the time of the crash. There is no way the tires were worn nor speed. I took my car in for the lease maintenance package the dealership (suburban cadillac) did tire rotation and at time there was no mentation of my tire thread wearing down. When i mentioned to service dept about the problems with the tires the explanation i was given is that the run flat tires are like the big wheel (child plastic tricycle from the 80's) tires when it rains that's why plus tire are low profile. I contacted my state attorney general (no help), bbb (going through procedures currently), ftc (made a complaint), and contacted nhtsa(no help at all) to get help for an investigation and for gm. Rear left/rear right axle seals leaking reported to me on 06/01/2020 while 2014 ats was in for service for tires and coolant leak mileage 71,538. I was advised it's a very slow drip and it doesn't need to be taken care of right away but to keep an eye on it vebally over the phone. I looked back on my service records and the leak was detected on 03/20/2020 by the dealer but r.0 closure date is noted as 03/18/2020 i was not made aware of a critical repair needed on the drive axle (rear differential leak) odometer on 03/18/2020 59,750. The seals should not be breaking at this mileage... This should be covered under warranty. It's a massive issue with the cadillac ats. This is going to cost around $1500.00 to fix now... Which is obsurd. This is a safety hazard to drive the car like this as per many online reports that i've read online.
While driving 70 mph on an interstate; drove into rough median going at a downhill angle.hit two culverts (made of steel and concrete), one of which sent the car airborne.the car landed into oncoming interstate traffic and did a 180 turn before coming to a rest. The strut came up through the hood of the car, and the front end of the car was torn up very badly, as was the rear bumper.the front two tires were pointing in different directions.the car was later declared a total loss.the airbags did not deploy, nor did the onstar service respond (paid monthly fees for over 4 years).
Transmission shift cable - transmission gear selection does not match the indicated gear causing the vehicle to move in an unintended or unexpected direction.i was backing up and went to put the gear in drive and i pressed the gas but the car went backwards. I hit the brake and attempted to move the gear handle and it shifted forward very loosely. Although it displayed drive on the gearbox, when i pressed the gas the car would still go in reverse. Capital cadillac in smyrna, ga later confirmed that the shift cable needed to be replaced but never mentioned this recall "general motors (gm) is recalling approximately 90,750 model year 2013-2014 cadillac ats, and 2014 cadillac cts vehicles. The transmission shift cable on the affected ats and cts vehicles may detach from either the bracket on the transmission shifter or the bracket on the transmission. In fact, i was told by the service advisor at capital cadillac that the part is on back order and that he didn't know when it would come in.

54,189 miles on car currently. Since june of 2019 my car/engine will completely shut off at a red light, or a coming to astop sign (basically completely stopped or coming to a stop). Its even shut off while in reverse. When this happens, the gear is still in drive. So i then have to put the car in park,press the brake and start it again. It sputters to start again, but it starts. Its getting more frequent, with it stopping up to 3 times at one stop light, and then having to restart it again. There are no codes on the dash. Ive brought my car into crest cadillac multiple times to try and diagnose this issue. They cannot find the root cause, and it still happening most recently today!there is a new battery, alternator testing in good condition. They have tested the battery cables/lines. This is incredibly frustrating. My car has stopped on me when trying to accelerate and turn into a lane and i was almost hit bc my engine completely shut off. I also called gm and was told without a diagnosis they cant help. Ive spent so much money on diagnostic tests with no answers. I need help please
It was 5:30 pm on 7-29-16, my wife and i went to check on the house while our daughter & son-in-law were away. As always, i had slowed the car to a crawl in order to park behind my son-in-law's car parked on the street in front of their house. I got the front right wheel almost on top of the curb and let it roll down. When the wheel touched the street this time, we heard a loud sound (like gears shifting) and the car suddenly revved up and surged forward. I slammed on the brakes but could not avoid hitting the front car's rear fender. The car bounced backward but it surged forward again; it was all i could do to steer and avoid hitting cars parked on both sides of the street. That night, we emailed cadillac detailing what had happened and asked cadillac to look into the car's "data bank." we did this because a car expert had told us that every action of the driver and the car would be indelibly recorded in the 'data bank.' we wanted cadillac to examine the 'data bank' to find out if sudden unintended acceleration (sua) had taken place. Per their instruction, we left the car at a cadillac dealer and waited and waited.finally, on 9/12/2016, 38 days we were completely devastated to receive a call from gm saying that there was nothing wrong with our car. Devastated because we had no doubt whatsoever that sua had occurred and yet were told that there was no problems. Further gm denied our request for a copy of the report, which is puzzling. After all, gm has nothing to hide since they claimed that no defect was found in the car. Without the report, we have no way of knowing whether anything was recorded in the data bank to explain the sudden surge. Clearly, in this unequal encounter, the giant corporation holds all the cards and the consumer none. I suppose that the unspoken message is that my wife and i should be grateful that we were not crippled, or killed even.
There has been 2 occasions my brand new car has stalled and lost power. Both times the car has sat for over an hour. When i get into vehicle it starts up and i take off. Within a minute the vehicle is stalling and fails to accelerate. Each time i have taken it into cadillac and they can't find a problem because it did not register in the computer system nor does a test drive discover problem. The real concern is if i'm crossing an intersection and the vehicle stalls and i'm in an accident. I don't want to be a statistic waiting for gm to find this problem.

The cadillac ats has a pervasive issue whereby the windshield is de-laminating. In extreme cases the "bubbles" extend downward and interfere with visibility. Almost all ats vehicles in hot climates have this defect, mine included.
Stated recall was to "repair" the automatic shut off of the rear window defogger/defroster.it was supposedly resolved by deactivating the shut off mechanism.supposedly, if the automatic shut-off did not activate, the contacts could fail and there could be a fire.my concern is what happens now if i forget to shut off the defroster/defogger.in the manual it says the system was timed for a set time, then would shut off.then the automatic control supposedly would turn the defroster/defogger back on but for a shorter interval.to me that means, the time factor is important and probably was there to prevent a fire.my contactwith gm's service center had a number of requests in priority order.those further down my list were wild ideas to put my mind totally at rest about driving such acar.none of my requests were granted. Below are in priority order what i requested.!. Persons who brought in the car for the recall should be reminded that the system was no longer automatic and they should be mindful of the need to shut off the system.2. A card or memory stimulating decal be provided to serve as a reminder to shut off the "automatic system".3. That gm provide assurances to owners that this work around system was an effective way or resolving the problem and not cause a potential fire.now my selfish requests.4. Gm guarantee me that if a fire did occur as a result of this issue they would coverall repairs.5. Most selfish:gm allow me to opt out of my lease so i didn't have toworry about the whole issue.(i know that would never happen, but i thought it would exert somepressure to get the top ones done at least
The contact owns a 2014 cadillac ats. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v558000 (visibility) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
3 rims/wheels bent under normal driving conditions under 11,000 miles from new, due to poor quality and improper design, causing a vibration in the vehicle.
I have 2014 ats cadillac 4.0 t ( with run flat tires)..when it rains while i'm driving at speedover 35 mph or higher my vehicle will hydroplane but will jump right back because of the stabilitrak stability control system. This was the most terrifying thing to experience. I had to pull over and get myself together. I called my husband to inform him of the issue, which he later experienced the same freighting ordeal. No matter what driving mode the car performs worse in the rain. I like in michigan and if my car acts like in the rain i'm terrified and will not drive my car in the snow too. I refuse to drive in the rain....i am truly scared for my life.
Cadillac ats 2014 - wheels/tire rims - i purchased the car in 2014 with michelin run-flat low profile tires.as of today, november 16, 2018, i have replaced 22 tires, due to the tire itself separating from the tire rim. In several cases the car did not indicate on the display panel this problem existed.the benefit of these tires is to allow you to ride on them for approximately 40-45 miles.the problem is the car does not always indicate the issue on the dashboard display and you don't know how long you were already driving with the issue.also, on occasion the display shows psi zero when it first alerts you to the problem, which required me to be towed after waiting on the side of the road for over an hour.while waiting for the tow truck, causing danger to myself and other drivers on the road.when i addressed this with the dealer, they indicated the car does not register a tire issue unless the inner lining of the tire is ripped.when driving i am constantly weaving to prevent any size pot hole to prevent another tire episode.this also causes a dangerous situations.the tire and/or tire rims should be investigated, to prevent any future hazardous driving situations for myself and others.i have pictures of a few of the tire rubber separated from the tire rim, and also have all the receipts for the (21) tire replacements and towing receipts if needed.incidents have happened in ny, nj and pa, the car was in motion when the car display would indicated a problem, however, in several of the incidents i saw that the tire was separated from the tire rim, yet the car display did not indicate an issue.i can be contacted on my cell phone [xxx]. I called the dealership(katherine cole who sold us the run flat tires), tweeted gm. No one at this point has been the least bit interested in what i had i to say. After my crash, on august 11, 2014, i have found severalother ats owners that experience the same exact issue..my daughter and i suffered terrible injuries, crash and totaled my car. I also am finding that there maybe a tire issue because of fast wear after only 7,000 miles. What, is gm or the tire manufacture or these safety org. Waiting for someone to die?i sent in a complaint in about my 2014 cadillac ats causing me to have a near fatal car accident. Gm is claiming that the tires were worn and speed caused the accident, which is false. My car only had 7500 miles ( car was purchased with only 256 miles) and the tires were not worn!the car was just in for service for it?spremium care lease maintenance, the service advisor would have mentioned that at time! the speed was caused from the accident. My daughters abdomen was injured from the seat belt too! between gm and michelin tires i am getting no where, they are pointing the finger to each other when i voted for you i thought you would fight for michiganders! how would you feel if i were your family member.
