My service air keeps coming up on my dash board goes on and off - brought it to the dealer and said it needs to be on to fix it - so nothing was done- now my radio/ backup camera doesnt come on and the dealer is telling me i have a short some where and the cost can be over 300.00 just to look at it - i have 121.000 miles now but it started from the first year i own the 2013

Check airbag warning light comes on, when someone is in passenger seat. Air bag lightis off. When the passenger seat is empty the air bag light is on and the fasten seatbelt light flashes and chimes. I feel this is a safety issue and should be addressed.

I turned my car on, and got a list of "service now" indicators, including service airbag. I had no gauges, speedometer, radio. I brought my car to the dealer 6/29/2015, a rear side sensor had gotten wet and shorted out a fuse. This is a known manufacturing safety defect, but since i'm 3000 miles past warranty they are going to charge me $1300.00 to repair.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. The contact received an unknown manufacturer notice regarding a possible defective air bag placed in the vehicle. The contact noticed that the air bag warning indicator flashed intermittently on the instrument panel. The contact drove the vehicle to pinkerton chevrolet (925 n electric rd, salem, va 24153, 800-813-5960) and was informed that she did not qualify for the manufacturer recall because the vehicle was out of warranty. The contact did not have the notice available. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that nothing could be done to assist; however, they offered the contact a $100 credit towards the repair of the air bags. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 70,000.

2013 buick verano.consumer writes in regards to airbag and seat belt malfunction during a rear end collision.consumer has previous correspondence with another vehicle in artemis.the consumer stated the seat belt did not lock into place and the air bags did not deploy.

The contact owned a 2013 buick verano. The contact stated that while the driver was stopped at the side of the road, another vehicle coming from the opposite direction crossed over and crashed into the vehicle head on. The contact was concerned that onstar failed to alert. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver sustained fractured rib and knee injuries along with a shoulder injury that required medical attention.a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company. A unknown dealer was laternotified of the failure when interested in the purchase of a new vehicle. Both the vehicles involved in the collison were destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.

My first complaint has to do with the "low fuel" warning indicator not functioning properly. This doesn't occur often, but i've noticed it happen 3 times in the past 6 months, and i'm unsure of when this issue first began. Typically, the fuel level indicator will be at 1/4 or below, and when driving a long distance, stopping and going, and/or on hilly rural roads, when the needle crosses into the red and eventually hits "0" the "low fuel" indicator has not lit up, no message appeared, and no warning chime, but the dic states "low fuel range". Perhaps the sensor is going bad, but why wouldn't the light turn on if the system knows the fuel level is low? i can park somewhere and idle for 30 min and the light still won't turn on. Only after i shut the car off and restart it does the light/warning chime/message appear. Current mileage: 88,600my second complaint pertains to the airbag: on/off indicator for the front passenger. When the key is turned to on with or without the engine running, the system operates normally, but if i'm charging my phone using a car charger connected to the front aux power outlet, and lay it directly on the right half of the passenger seat, in any position, the airbag light will switch from off to on, but the safety belt light does not turn on or flash, and no chime is heard. When i lift my phone, the indicator returns to normal in a few seconds. I've noticed the phone has to be directly on the seat without anything beneath it in order for this to occur, and it's only on the right side of the seat. I just noticed this a couple weeks ago, but the current mileage of 88,600 still applies.i have not notified a dealer about these issues for fear of having to pay costly repairs i can't afford. However, the airbag issue concerns me the most. I believe there's electronic interference causing it to occur, but it shouldn't be happening regardless.

1)warning icon to check air bag keeps coming on while the car is in motion 2) cannot lock front passenger seatbelt

Warning light come onand and the car won't start. I just park for a day or so, than it starts up like nothing is wrong with it.

Periodically the driver 'service air bag' light comes on for no reason. It only stays on for a few moments up to a few minutes.sometimes when i honk the horn the light goes off.took it to the shop and the tech said if the light is not on he couldn't check the problem.i noticed there was a recall notice on my make and model, but not on my vin number for the same problem. Tech said if the service light is on then the airbag would not deploy.please advise.

Intermittent warning on information dashboard to service airbag.dealership would not service warning unless it was active, but due to intermittency it was impossible to bring in an active alarm.alarm comes in at different times and does not seem to be related to any specific set of conditions.alarm simply states to service airbag. The alarm has come in numerous times.the date entered below is the most recent occurrence of the alarm, but has been happening since the vehicle was purchased.i think that this is related to a recall regarding the airbag connection on the buick veranos, but our specific car was not included in the recall.

Gm bulletin 23520 was issued on 05/10/2016 stating that some 2013-2016 buick verano's may have an issue with the passenger presence module system. According to the bulletin, the issue was caused by a manufacturing problem during assembly (as stated on the first page of the bulletin- '....the passenger presence sensor (pps) module wire may have been pinched in the seat trim during seat assembly or servicing). Buick, in my opinion, faulted in limiting this safety issue to a limited mileage specification. Although my vehicle is still covered under the time alottment, my mileage of 100,000 at the time that the bulleting was issued exceeded the limit of 72.000. I sent a message to terry inch, exec. Director of global connected customer experience and to duncan aldred, vp of the buick line and have received no response. I understand that all mechanical parts of a warrantied vehicle should be limited, however, known or newly-discovered safety-related should not be limited to mileage since mileage has no impact on the safety of the passengers inside a less-than-safe vehicle. I've asked buick to make some type of allowance for repairs, however, they have denied to do so and want to charge me the full price of $879 plus tax for a repair they have made known to be a manufacturing issue. I will gladly share some form of deductible with them but refuse to take it all upon myself when the vehicle was compromised from it initial manufacturing. Please assist!!

The car is equipped with a back up camera and screen inside. Which i understand will shortly be a requirement for all cars. However there are serious problems with camera/screen system. If car is parked in a garage the light sensor sets the tv screen to the lowest level, and when you back out into the day light, you are unable to see what is happening in back of the car, as screen to do dark to be visible. Plus if you have sunglasses on, it is even worse. Some gm cars i am told can override the dark screen, but not on this model. Also screen display it high up on dash, and when the sun is overhead it overpowers the screen and again the back up tv system is unusable. I feel that this problem needs to be fixed so the safety feature in the car with do what it should. I have written to gm on the item, but no satisfaction from then on the item.

2013 buick verano. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle stopping suddenly. *ldthe consumer stated the first time the failure occurred, the display required the window to be rolled down then back up, the vehicle began working. The second time the along with the window instruction, the power steering needed servicing.

The heat/air system is not working correctly.i believe this is a safety hazard because in the winter months, ifi were to get caught in my car for some reason, i would have no heat to keep me warm and it can get very cold here in nys.i will have it fixed myself, but it shouldn't be something i should have to deal with.if i got caught in a traffic jam on one of the hot days, i wouldn't be able to use the air conditioning.sometimes it works and sometimes is doesn't.there has been something wrong since i first purchased it, but i never brought it in.when i put the defogger on, it would blow cold air no matter how high i had the heat.now, it doesn't even blow most of the time. I have no air and no heat in the vehicle at all most of the time.when it does work it is very loud.

If i remote start my car it doesn't cut on and for the last few weeks my car hasn't been starting instantly or i have to try numerous times to get it to start, when it does start all the panel lights stay on, the hazard lights come on without me turning them on as well as the windshield wipers. My rearview camera goes black in the middle of me backing out and turns back on once i place the vehicle in drive. While driving the whole screen turns black and the radio works sometimes. Also when i turn on my a/c the engine gets louder and it makes a weird noise until i turn the a/c off, the a/c doesn't get as cold as it use to and my heat gets hotter than it used to sometimes when i ride with the heat the car turns off. All of this started happening on april 18, 2016

The car shuts off while in motion driving down interstate or any road; sometimes the car won't say a word when trying to crank until after a few tries; plugged into computer but gives no codes

Making a left hand turn, wrench light came on, stabilitrak light came on,middle console went out and yanked the entire car to the right. Luckily both hands were on the wheel and no cars in the lane to the right, was able to keep the car in the lane barely. Stopped at the car wash, felt the car jump a bit. Drove another 3 minutes home and as i was backing into the my parking spot my middle console went out and came back on several times with approx 4 sec delays being off, cars power steering was off and on constantly, trying to turn the wheel to the left to pull forward a little the car kept jerking forward as i kept trying to turn left but the wheel kept acting like it was hitting a wall, the stabilitrak light kept flashing. Trying to turn it right and back up the middle console kept flashing and the wheel kept jerking. Finally got the car parked and the neighbor heard me on the phone and stepped out to ask if i was ok, when i was trying to park she heard a huge crash at that time and thought it was an accident of some sort. Today was the first day for all of this. The middle console has been flashing on and off for a few months and the stabilitrak light started coming on last weekend.

The electrical system is malfunctioning. The air bag light is on sometime then it will go off. Its like someone is sitting on the passenger seat. The dash seat light comes on and off too. My collision light started acting up and now it doesn't work but tonight the passenger mirror is partially on and will not go out. Buttons on the dash disappears then shows up later. Bluetooth, collision setting buttons, i took my car into the dealership. My bumper to bumper has expired. I was told their is corrosion in the line and it will cost me $1300 to 1600 to fix.

While driving on a suburban street, engine and electrical system shut down.there was no warning.i was driving about 30 mph, when engine turned itself off, dashboard went dark, turn signal did not work, and steering became more difficult.i drifted to the curb, and after a minute restarted the car with no problem; it has a push-button starter.dealer can find nothing wrong with car.dealer says it may be a small animal (a rat or squirrel) living in the car?s engine compartment at night, and chewing on electrical lines. Dealer cannot, however, find any damaged wires.when car was about 2 months old, had a similar incident when radio and ?intellilink? system cut out without warning.when i pushed radio button, radio came back on and operated normally.we bought this car because of the safety features;now i am afraid to drive it on the freeway.

1.) my car reduced speed on the highway driving 55. When pulling over the car would not accelerate and turned off. After being off for 20 minutes on the side of the road the vehicle drove normally. After a week carmax service could not find the reason for this incident.2.)the epb warning light flashed while drivingon a city street and slows the vehicle down. I came to a stoplight and my car died. It was towed to carmax service and after a week they were not able to duplicate the problem and fix the issue. 3.) while driving on a city street the epb servicelight started flashing in my car jerked forward i would not accelerate.4.) i was merging onto thehighwaywhen the power system light turned on and my doorsstarted locking and unlocking on its own. The vehicle wouldnot accelerate and turned off.after about four minutesit turned back on and drove fine but buick dealer could not find a problem. Dealer had the car for 10days.

Reverse looking camera went black while backing up. The outside temprature was 95deg and the car had been parked for several days.

On 10/6/2020, i was riding as the front passenger in our 2013 buick verano.we were traveling on the highway (70 mph) and hit a bump at the start of a bridge.a warning light illuminated, the engine rpm suddenly increased as if the transmission downshifted, the car decelerated and my wife pulled to the shoulder.we stopped, checked the gear shift and it was still in drive, the warning light disappeared, and everything seemed normal.

I turned my car on and had both the front and rear defrost.i smelled something funny, so i turned the car off to investigate. I didn't see anything so turned the car back on and pulled back into the driveway and turned it off.within a minute or two, the entire back driver- side door was in flames. I had to use a fire extinguisher to get rid of the fire.when the mechanic looked at it, he said he had never seen anything like that and guessed it may have been the circuit to the defroster and if i had not of gotten out of the car and turned it off, i could have been seriously injured or died because the car caught so quickly.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. While driving at any speed, the 2013 buick verano lost power, doors would unlock, then power would come back on and doors would lock. This would happen repeatedly,in addition, the wrench icon illuminated and the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to newby buick gmc (435-673-1100, located at 1629 s convention center dr, st. George, ut 84790), but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, but they did diagnose the failure and was electrical. Issues. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 35,500. Consumer stated vehicle was traded in on 5/7/19

Takata recall. I the procees of driving and turning the dash board lights up and its a symbol with a small wrench . The car jerks i a whole new direction. And then another symbol appears and says power steering service and it is really hard to drive and turnwhile on the highway or street.

The key has gotten stuck in the ignition several times. This prevents the car from moving and turning off completely. At one point the car began to roll as i was attempting to get out to get assistance. I was eventually able to go onto youtube and discovered the issue was consistent with the chevy malibu, so i used the same technique described in the youtube video to remove the key. The same issue occurred on the evening on february 21, 2019. The valet supervisor went to retrieve my car and was unable to remove the key out of the ignition and the car would not move into the park gear. I would move into drive, neutral and reverse but not park. I believe my car is also impacted under the following recall number:50490 and 50491. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Purchased the car used from a reputable buick dealer with 84k miles on it. 7 days later, the check engine light came on while driving home from work. I immediately brought the car home to prevent further mechanical problems and noticed that when i put the car into park, the transmission felt like it dropped and it was hard to shift. I turned the car off, let it rest, and then turned it back on. This time, the check engine light came on again. I tried shifting the car into reverse and the "r" light on my dash began to flash. I put it into drive and the "d" began to flash. I tried to move the car forward and the car had almost now power.each shift made the transmission feel as though it was dropping and it made a very loud noise. I had the car towed back to the dealer and was told that it is the transmission control module ($1100). This happened jjust 7 days after purchasing it, and less than 2 weeks after being inspected by the dealer.

Vehicle, traveling 45mph in traffic stream on highway, suddenly lost all power, including engine, radio, ac fan, and dashboard lights.after coasting to roadside, still moving, radio, ac fan and dashboard lights suddenly self restored.after stopping, transmission put in park, start button pushed, engine started, everything back to normal.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano (n/a). The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the contact accidentally bumped the engine on/off button located in the left side of the dashboard, close to the radio and gps. As a result, the vehicle turned off. The contact was concerned that it was a safety hazard, and believed that a vehicle should not be turned off by pressing a button, while in motion. The failure and current mileage was 210.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. While driving, the contact inadvertently hit the keyless ignition button, which resulted in a loss of power. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that the vehicle operated as manufactured. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

Was traveling at slow speed approaching a stop sign. Car shut off as though key was turned off in the ignition -- key was still in the on position and no one had touched it at time of shutoff.headlights went off.could not turn steering wheel.if this had happened at high speed it could have been deadly. Turned key off and removed it from ignition. When key was reinserted and turned to start position, car started correctly.there has been no recurrence.dealer ran full diagnosis and found no recorded faults.dealer tested key fob electronic connectivity to ignition and could find no problem.

I turned my car on, and got a list of "service now" indicators, including service airbag. I had no gauges, speedometer, radio. My new buick verano 2013 just backed itself out of my driveway and hit my neighbor's mailbox.has there been any other reports like this?

Head gasket, piston kit, seal, fod bolt, valve cover, sealer, andcoolant / car was not in motion during the time of discovery

The car only has 20,000 miles on it. I went to the grocery and drug store which is only 4 miles frommy home. I pulled into the garage and noticed the fan was running (engine fan) hard. But assumed it was normal for any car to cool down the engine. I went in the house and the fan had stopped on the car. I had to go back into the garage about 10 minutes later and the car fan was on again! a blowing full blast.i opened the door of the car, looked at the dash, saw my fan for the air in thecar was at the highest level, turned that down but the car fan outside continued to run. I ran into the house, got my keys and locked the car which turned off the engine fan.my concern is that if this happened and continued to run, my house is an attached garage, it could easily have started a fire. I have called gm and i am waiting on a call back but i concerned not only for my welfare but everyone. I have never seen a car do this. I do not have on star nor sirrus activated so it isn't like someone could have done something remotely.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. The contact noticed that the vehicle was losing oil. The vehicle was taken to jack winegardner chevrolet (11001 indian head hwy, fort washington, md 20744) where an oil consumption test was performed. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure persisted, which caused the vehicle to shut down. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was metal in the oil that may cause the engine to shut down. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,130.

The engine stalled while driving on a city street at 35 mph.i was able to turn into a driveway and park.the engine started the first time i pushed the start button.dealer could find nothing wrong but suggested it might be the type of fuel.i started using the type fuel they suggested and kept the gas tank half full.this has happened twice since may.again on july 13th the engine stalled when i pulled up and stopped at a stop light.took it to the dealer, they kept it three days and could find nothing wrong.the latest incident happened two weeks ago august 5th while driving down the street at 40 mph.was able to pull over to the curb but this time the car wouldn't start the first time i pushed the button.i tried a second and third time and i then took time to get my phone to call for help and decided i would try one more time and this time it started.dealer kept it 5 days and could find nothing wrong.they called the technicians at gm and they had no answer.the customer service contact person at gm told me they have never had any complaints with this problem for the verano.they must not be looking at this website!!i am afraid to drive this car.i can only imagine what would happen if i were driving down the interstate in front of an 18 wheeler and this happened.i hope something will be done about this.

First, my car would hesitate when going up my driveway and i had to give it the gas so it wouldn't stop on me. Then, my car would stop on me as i was driving at slow speeds or even stopped at red lights. I almost got hit several times from behind due to this. Then, i noticed that when my oil was at 50% i would have to add oil and it would fix the issue until my oil level got low again. I went from changing my oil every 5,000 miles as told by the sales person to every 3,000 miles to what seemed like every 1,500 miles. The last incident was when i was driving home from work on a main highway and my car just killed on me. I was able to coast to the shoulder but had to be towed home. While all of this was going on i brought it to the dealership where i purchased it along with other parts stores and had them run the machine test on it and i would never get a code. My wife has been doing some research and it was brought to her attention that gm knows about this issue and there is a company what can give us a new engine for $5,000 and then they make a claim and gm buys the old motor from the company. I would be nice if gm would pay for a new motor for everyone that trusted in their vehicles. This vehicle was not cheap and there is no way anyone should have this type of issue and gm not be held accountable for their defected motors that they are aware of. I now have a broken car that just sits and i have to make other arrangements to get to and from work until i can fix my car which is buy a new engine. I have always been a gm person but looks like i will have to start to look other places. The sad part is i like my car and other than the engine i have had no other major issues.

Excessive oil consumption problem.i own a 2013 buick verano with a 2.4l engine, approximately 100,000 miles.we have recently noticed when checking the oil in-between oil changes that there was no oil on the dipstick. E.g.., at 40 or 50% life left for oil change, there was no oil on the dipstick. In the past the car has never used or leaked a drop of oil.in doing some additional research, this is a common problem with other buick's with the same engine..buick has acknowledged this issue with other similar buick vehicles with the same engine by issuing a technical service bulletin 13-06-01-003h for other models of buicks with the details on how to rebuild the engine and fix the problem.we called the buick dealer and they indicated there is no recall for the verano but recognize it is a problem with the car.

My vehicle starts jerking when i get off expressway. Or at red light or conjested traffic. Car has no code been on at least 7 machine no code buick cant find the problem.

Since i bought the car it consumes an excessive amount of oil, it makes it clicking noise if it gets slow talk to the dealership at least twice and was told that this is just what these engines sound like after doing research i've noticed that there are multiple complaints about the same issue, now i'm having a problem with the car just shutting off especially if i am coming to a stop or at a red light, today i was making a left over a four-lane highway to get onto my road the car just shut off and i almost got keep on buying an oncoming car because it stopped in the middle of the road, after doing some online searching this is a common problem apparently, it is out of warranty and dealership told me nothing they can do unless i want to pay for it, there's 54,000 mi on the car so this should not be happening, when i bought the car they told me that the engine is supposed to sound like that even though my gut told me otherwise but hey they are the pros right, also the first time i took it to the dealership they told me that the excessive oil consumption was not a problem, just to keep an eye on it and top it off if it gets low...what's completely contradicts what they told me when i bought it because they told me because it's full synthetic that i would not have often, me almost getting t-boned because my car owed is in my opinion a serious safety concern and the manufacturer of this car ignoring the problem is going to cause somebody to get killed

While driving my vehicle up a small hill at 30mph a beep sounded, i checked the dashboard for a low fuel notification or some other alert. The dashboard was totally dark. The start/stop engine button was yellow.the vehicle had shut off while i was driving.i coasted to the side of the road, pulled over and put the car in park.i restarted the car without any difficulties. There were no indications of an issue, such as the check engine light.

If i remote start my car it doesn't cut on and for the last few weeks my car hasn't been starting instantly or i have to try numerous times to get it to start, when it does start all the panel lights stay on, the hazard lights come on without me turning them on as well as the windshield wipers. All of this started happening on april 18, 2016

Was driving on routeheaded towards harrisburg on i 83 south, and the engine cut out, not once, but 3 times.the car totally lost all power.each time i pulled off to the side of the road, trembling and praying that the car would restart.all instrument panels went out, no warning lights to warn of what may come next..called the dealership and have to wait a week to get in.

The valet supervisor went to retrieve my car and was unable to remove the key out of the ignition and the car would not move into the park gear. I would move into drive, neutral and reverse but not park. I believe my car is also impacted under the following recall number:50490 and 50491. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The car had seemed a bit "sluggish" or "draggy" but i thought it was possibly from the cold weather. After about two days of this, we were traveling out of town for thanksgiving. At a stoplight, as i was slowing to a stop, my car just died. The radio and heat went off and the car just coasted to a stop. I put the car in park to start it but just got an awful grinding sound. I tried again and it started but was very jerky.i thought maybe i got some bad gas as it happened again that day. The next day i added some drygas and filled the tank with a better grade gas. It behaved for two days but it happened again today although i only slowed down to get off of a highway when it did it. Luckily it was early on sundaywith very little traffic or it could have been bad. Is this going to be another gm sweep under the rug until enough people die againor what?

Warning light come onand and the car won't start. I just park for a day or so, than it starts up like nothing is wrong with it.

Driving down back road 40-45 mph, at night, lights and radio on, with my boyfriend when everything went pitch black, no lights on car at all, engine shut off, very scary.i coasted to stop, hit start engine button it restarted, like normal.all lights came back on, no further incident.took to dealer could find nothing wrong. They said when you drive car it erases data????now im scared to drive car. When car quit, lights shut off nothing showed on dash or otherwise.

2013 buick verano, vin [xxx].originally purchased in minnesota.have had multiple problems.first, car was "hard-shifting" like it was having a really hard time locating the next gear to shift into.the hard shift occurs between 15-25 mph, and again between 50-60 mph.it is causing the car to accelerate and act very sluggishly.have not had a single problem with this car until a long road trip relocating to utah in march 2015 that led up to all these new problems.dealer says diagnostic shows nothing wrong, but when test driving, can feel and hear the hard shift.attempted to fix.problems went away for 2 months and then returned in late may / early june 2015.second, when a/c is on full blast inside car and we use remote start to start the car, the car idles fine for 10 seconds.then as soon as the a/c system kicks on in the car, the engine rev's up from 800 rpm's (normal idle) to about 1,500 rpm's and the engine is very loud.the dealer states "diagnostic computer says nothing is wrong."we can hear how loud it is, and those are the cooling fans, but it's supposed to come back down to normal idle after a few minutes.we can have the car idling for 10+ minutes and it does not reduce in noise volume or rpm level.it continues to idle very high rpm's and does not sound like any other buick on the gm dealership lot.dealer mechanic's can hear there is a problem but refuse to fix it because their stupid computers don't say anything is wrong.so now we are experiencing 2 issues - the loud rev rpm noise in idle which is making the engine very labored sounding, and the hard-shifting problem that still hasn't gone away.there has to be something wrong with this vehicle's transmission, power train, or cooling system but of course gm won't fix it or recall it.i can't even find a recall list newer than 12/31/14.

The car started burning oil at a rate of 1 quart every 1,000 miles at 86,000 miles and so i took it to the dealership where i purchased it new and also had it do all of the routine maintenance as well. This was at mike juneau brookfield gmc buick and they told me to bring it in everytime it got a quart low and that there was no concern with me continuing to drive it as long as i monitored the oil. The timing chain broke while driving at 40 mph and ruined the entire engine 4 months later at 91,000 miles. This is a known common issue with these gm engines and i beleive some are even recalled when in chevy vehicles. The dealership and manufacturer have acknowledged the problem.

I was driving in vernon bc and coming to a stop light when the engine quit. I had to stop put car in park and restart. The problem occured in a parking lot about ten minutes later. I called the dealer and they said if no engine light on there was nothing that could be done. I drove for over 2000 miles and the fuel pump became noisy and that was changed.all was well until dec.1 2014 when driving in florida the car stalled while slowing for a stop light. Put in park and started again. Called dealer and they can't help. The only other thing was the temperature was about 85 f all three times.

Steering)- the steering wheel seems to "stick" at speeds from 40 mph and upwards to 80 mph.steering seems to have fluid, non-catching motion while driving short distances, however, after driving long distances, or more often than usual throughout the day, the wheel seems to stick, and takes more effort than usual to steer in the intended direction.vehicle stays straight for awhile, but veers off like normal, but to steer vehicle to remain in lane is when the sticking occurs mostly.issue may intertwine with next incident involving the front right axle seal.other)- 5/19/2014, mileage 25727 - took vehicle to a dealership who stated that the front passenger axle seal is leaking and recommended taking to nearest gm dealership for warranty repair.gm dealership stated that the axle seal wasn't leaking, but was just "wet." returned to first dealership a few months later who stated the same axle seal leaking issue, gm dealership stated the axle seal was wet.i fear that the failure to acknowledge, and repair, the leaking axle seal could be a result of the steering wheel sticking.failure to repair could also lead to part malfunction/failure which could lead to vehicle crashing.engine) - engine seems to always run loud, like the fan is on high for climate control, even when climate control is off.gm dealership stated it was a fan to cool the engine down, and runs when car is driven for a long period of time.i hear it all the time, and the vehicle seems to be hotter than what would be expected to be coming from that area.uncomfortable heat is how i would describe it.engine always runs loud currently at 48,000 miles, regardless of driving period.fire danger could be a risk.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. When the vehicle was started, the blind spot detection indicator illuminated and the sun roof was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to matthews auto group (3721 old vestal rd, vestal, ny 13850) where it was diagnosed that the blind spot sensor needed to be replaced. The technician stated that the sensor failure may have affected the sun roof. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and offered a discount for the blind spot sensor replacement cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. The vin was not provided.

My new buick verano 2013 just backed itself out of my driveway and hit my neighbor's mailbox.has there been any other reports like this?

The key has gotten stuck in the ignition several times. This prevents the car from moving and turning off completely. The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. The contact stated that after shifting into park, the vehicle would alert that the vehicle was not in the park position. The correct gear position was not displayed. The contact took the vehicle to the greater lowell buick dealer where it was diagnosed that the shifter assemblies failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and paid a portion of the repair. The approximate failure mileage was 20,134.

The shift lever is on a console between the two front seats.pushing the lever toward the driver changes the transmission mode from automatic to manual.there is nothing to prevent accidental pushes switching the transmission to manual mode at highway speed.my passenger, while adjusting her coat, has switched the car to manual mode while the car was at highway speed and i have seen her purse sometimes very close to the lever while she is doing things with the purse (the car is a compact--the shift lever is in close proximity to both front seats).fortunately when she accidentally switched the transmission to manual mode i removed my foot from the accerator while i tried to figure out why my car suddenly slowed down while the engine was racing; fortunately i was not in heavy traffic where this could have caused an accident.

Between 8 & 17 mil the trans has a deed spot, when the transcatches the car jumps.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. When the contact attempted to shift the vehicle from the park position, the gear shifter failed. After various attempts, the gear was eventually able to shift into drive. The failure recurred a total of four times. In addition, the contact stated that the gear shift button failed. The local dealer (perry buick, 6633 e virginia beach blvd, norfolk, va, 23502, 757-828-5431) scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer informed the contact that there was no recall and no additional assistance was offered. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

The 2013 buick verano in question has 52k miles. At a stop light, when the gas was pushed to accelerate, the car check engine light lit and then suddenly shifted into reverse and would not come out.after trying to change the transmissionsetting several times, the driver turned the vehicle off, and restarted, the transmission worked at that point.the dealership indicated they have never seen this issue before.they recommended clearing codes for intake and exhaust cam solenoids by replacing them and updating software.these were done and we hope that takes care of the problem.this was a serious system failure and fortunately occurred in a location which was not as dangerous as it could have been.

1)warning icon to check air bag keeps coming on while the car is in motion 2) cannot lock front passenger seatbelt

2013 buick verano.consumer writes in regards to airbag and seat belt malfunction during a rear end collision.consumer has previous correspondence with another vehicle in artemis.the consumer stated the seat belt did not lock into place and the air bags did not deploy.

Check airbag warning light comes on, when someone is in passenger seat. Air bag lightis off. When the passenger seat is empty the air bag light is on and the fasten seatbelt light flashes and chimes. I feel this is a safety issue and should be addressed.

I purchased this vehicle and the next day the front seat belts began to rattle, and there is an air noise on the passenger side window. We told the dealership and they said they would have to have the car for several days. We told them we were on our way and that we would just have it fixed when the oil required changing. We finally took the car into the dealership and the next day we were told the car was ready. When we went to pick up the car they said that they could not fix the seat belts nor could they fix the air leak. They said it was a designed flaw. We called gmc and they stated they could not fix it and that all veranos had the same problem.

My car has only 55, 148 miles and the power steering module has gone out already. I have had my car for only 3 years and i have already had problems with the transmission and now the power steering. I am not sure how much it will cost to get it repair. My car locked up as i was driving it. I looked down and saw my dashboard flashing saying that the power steering needed to be service. I could not turn the car at first. All i could do is just go straight. Then all of a sudden i was able to turn the car, but it was very hard.

This car has always had a rubbing or grinding sensation just after making a turn, at low speeds.it is subtle but definitely there.the dealer discounted my claim during the first service visit and said that it is normal.i don't know if this is associated with the steering issues that i have at higher speeds or not.this issue only happens just after making hard turns such as 90 degree turns from street to street.it does not occur when making curves.

I was driving through a construction zone when my steering wheel locked up. It surprised me and caused me panic somewhat. The lane was very narrow and started to turn, but my steering wheel did not respond the way it should. It took a lot of effort to turn the wheels. The car got too close to the cement guardrails and collided with them on the passenger side up by the front wheel. The car has damage at the site of impact and now the stabilitrac system has a fail light on. Also, the car shakes when driven, and there is a general loss of control when steering now.

After approx 30 mins of driving at highway speeds, steering "binds" causes driver to use extra force to turn the wheel, then steering frees up.this causes an over-steer situation. I am seeing identical complaints on other sites such as gmfourm.com. Been to the dealer 3 times and dealer says there is no issue when indeed there is a very dangerous issue as confirmed by others complaining about their vehicles. Seems to be an electric steering assist issue.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano.the contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the steering wheel seized. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred intermittently.the vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the front rotor needed to be resurfaced.the vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred.the manufacturer was notified of the failure.the approximate failure mileage was 47,000.

This car has steering issues during highway driving.the steering gets very stiff and appears to get stuck when the wheels are in one position for very long such as on the highway.this has happened a multitude of times since i purchased this vehicle last july. In the beginning, i assumed it was because the car was new but it's taking more and more effort to adjust the steering during highway travel.this is a concern because one day it could lead to over adjustment and maybe a wreck at higher speeds.driving in the city where i live is not a problem, as that i make frequent turns and the steering does not have time to lock up.

Takata recall. I the procees of driving and turning the dash board lights up and its a symbol with a small wrench . The car jerks i a whole new direction. And then another symbol appears and says power steering service and it is really hard to drive and turnwhile on the highway or street.

Steering wheel locked into the straight position and would turn left. Dashboard blinked messages across the screen. " service power steering" and "service stability track". Unfortunately once you turn the car off and turn the car back on, it resets itself and all the alerts are no longer present.

Steering wheel sticks and seems to only happen at higher speeds. Have noticed only when car steering is in one still position for 4-5 seconds and then have to readjust steering course or turn. You have to use an abnormal amount of force to get steering wheel to move. Conern is for over adjustment. This happens on a regular basis now. May occur at lower speeds but is not noticed as i drive in the city more often so am frequently turning and adjusting course. There is one other report on here to date about same problem.

The contact owns a 2013 buick verano. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 mph and attempting to adjust the air conditioner, the push button start switch was depressed unintentionally. The contact stated that the two function buttons were too close to each other and could result in a crash. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,200.

I was parking my verano in a flat parking space (no hills) on dry pavement.i was in the space, i took my foot off the accelerator and stepped on the brake to put it in park, but before i could get it in park, the engine revved up, and the car torpedoed like a rocket (very fast) over the parking barrier into a three or four foot drainage ditch, which stopped the car from shooting across on-coming traffic in the street.as the car jumped across the parking barrier, i tried to brake and the car still would not stop.the car ended up face first in the ditch with damage to the front end.i have had the dealer examine the car, but they found nothing wrong.i also made a claim to gm and they are investigating the situation.so far, i've been researching a found a blog on edmonds.com about two other people with the same problem of sudden acceleration without warning. One of the people has contacted me and they said it went through a wall in a neighbors house, they got the car repaired, and then it happened again!!! i am afraid to drive the car even if the car gets repaired. Hopefully the problem will be found before someone gets seriously injured or killed.now that this has happened, my husband and i are wondering if the experiences of bursts of acceleration on the highway every so often (not all the time) are related to the accident i had.we just figured that it was the turbo kicking in????

Paint on hood, top, and trunk lid fading off. Car was manufactured in lake orion michigan. Heard many of the same complaints from this same assembly plant.is there a class action lawsuit on this matter, very angry and concerned.

Car has less than 40k miles.noticed what seemed to be very small scratches on top surfaces of vehicle.upon closer inspection, looks like the paint is fading down to bare metal.the fading paint is hard to notice and recognize, but after washing you can see the dull areas easily.noticed problem on hood 2 years ago, paid $1900 to have it repainted before realizing this is a common issue.gm body shop said the paint is "checking".caused by improper oem application.since car is 5 years old, not covered under warranty.$2900 to repair!!

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (park ford of mahopac, 276 us-6, mahopac, ny) where it was diagnosed that the rear driver's side coil spring was faulty and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the part needed to repair the vehicle was discontinued. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 83,000.

Oem wheel blew out after brushing raise edge of road caused by a pothole. I have had two oem tires fail within the first year of purchase of new car. Searched internet and oem tire failure is common in 2013 buick veranocontinental contipro contact tires are listed in several places failing within 5000 of new.

Just recently purchased a2013 buick verano with less than 15,000 miles on it. I've already had to replace two tires before hitting my two week mark. Each time i was driving 30mph and undereach time a blow out occurred. Researched and found out that these continental tires have been not only been recalled but thecontinental procontact 235/45 18 have had many issues blowing out at moments notice. But not yet recalled along with previous continental tires. These tires need to be recalled again and taken off the market before a tragic injury occurres if it hasnt happened already.

Experienced a blow out onhighway 696 going 72 miles an hour due to side wall.tire had to be replaced.this is the third time a tire had to be replaced because of tire wall damage.car only 2 years old and 3 tires have been replaced. First time car only 1 month old.what is going on?

I had to replace two tires because ofbubble on the outside of the perimeter.

A/c would not engage, blew only hot air (hotter than outside air), for about 15 minutes. While parked i switched system on/off several time, adjusted temprature control up/down, and restarted the vehicle several time to no avail.a/c engaged after driving a couple miles (~five minutes). The outside temprature was 95deg and the car had been parked for several days.

My 2013 buick verano has been acting weird for about a month now. I first noticed it because the engine light came on one day on my way to work and when i left work it was off. Maybe two days later when i started my car and pulled of it just turned off. So i started it again(starts up fine) and i put in to drive and once i pull off it turned off. It did about 4 times before the car would run normally. This happen twice in the first week, and then it was everyday since then. I did notice that it was struggling to get it out of first gear about the third week. Also when i was on my way to the store and i stopped at a red light and when it turned green and i tried to accelerate it just turned off. But after that rode fine. After that incident i noticed yesterday that everytime i stop now the car will turn off and also if i go anything over 35mph the car jerks as if it wants to stop. This is very unsafe. Also the engine lights comes on and off. And i did google to see if anyone else has had this problem so i can see what the problem could possibly be and found that many people with this same year make and model of car have this issue. I also read that they had recalls for this same year make and model two months after i purchased the vehicle but never received a letter of notice, maybe because it wasn'tfor my vin. But with an unsafe vehicle issue such as this, something has to be done.

Radio shuts off for no reason and come back on either driving or in park and the problem with the turn signal sometimes

While at a stop sign/light (stationary) the vehicle will move forward on it's own. I will have my foot firmly on the brake and it moves. It does it at random. I have taken it to buick and even contacted corporate about this and now am at a stand still. Buick stated that because there is no recall, no error codes, and they can't duplicate the issue they don't know how to fix this problem. I am stuck with a vehicle that has a safety issue. My major concern is that it may only be moving about a foot now but later will it just keep going causing me to be in an accident.

Impacted road hazard that severely damaged the passenger side tires and wheels requiring full replacement. Had a second incident and replaced a third tire on the same side the following month. Have spoken to others who experienced the same problem with "low profile tires" which would be a design application by the oem's that in my opinion should be considered dangerous to the consumer. The low profile tire by design cannot withstand even the smallest road hazard and at high speeds have the potential to be life threatening to consumers. I believe they should be recalled.

I had to replace two tires because ofbubble on the outside of the perimeter.

Oem wheel blew out after brushing raise edge of road caused by a pothole. I have had two oem tires fail within the first year of purchase of new car. Searched internet and oem tire failure is common in 2013 buick veranocontinental contipro contact tires are listed in several places failing within 5000 of new.

I boughtthis buick verano with in 3000 miles a tire bubbled now im at 13000 miles 2 more tires have bubbled in two more tires is this a problem with the continental contipro contact tires.

Bought trade in from central cadillac in cleveland, ohio.yes, two year old car with 6500 miles?continental tire blew out, rear passenger side cost $220.00 for replacement tire.had planned to take car on vacation but after all listed complaints i am extremely concerned for passenger safety with these tires.i am a retired law enforcement officer so please beware!
