The horn and air bag devices are built as one unit on this vehicle, the horn has gone out and consumer has to replace both units to restore the horn unit. The dealer has been contacted. Consumer was told that this would cost $950.00 to replace.

Airbag is worn out.horn quit working. There is still no recall on this. More faulty design.there is no excuse to have a design where the horn won't work.

Airbag develops a problem where the horn is very sensitive and sometimes deploys on its own. Other times it won't work at all. A horn going off at inappropriate times could confuse other drivers and cause an accident.the particular part has been discontinued by gm but there is no excuse for them not addressing this issue.

My horn stopped working. The problem was traced to the horn switch. My mechanic could not replace the horn switch because it is part of the driver's side air bag assembly, which had been discontinued. I had to have a bypass switch installed on the dashboard, which is inconvenient and awkward to use. In my opinion, the horn is a more important safety feature than the air bag. I am 71 years old and have never seen an air bag deploy, but my horn has prevented accidents many times.

Air bag malfunctioned causing the horn tosound inadvertantly.

While driving behind another vehicle, the other vehicle put on brakes andstruck the other vehicle and the air bag did not deploy.

Consumer called complaining about having problems with the air bags deployment. Also stated that the vehicle was total lost on a collision driving at 55 mph where the air bags did not deploy. Dealer or manufacture were not contacted at the time of this call. Ts

My spouse and i brought an evenflo car seat a year ago (april 99). This car seat was in well condition until last week when my husband was trying to strap our son into his car seat when the right rear handle of the car seat broke completely. The handle can not be repair and needs to be replaced by the manufacturer soon as possible. The car seat we brought cost us $60.00 and we don't have the money to buy another new car seat. We have the broken pieces if you need them to be sent. In addition, our car seat number was manuf. In 12feb99 and the model # is 4211k1 p1. We have tried to contact the evenflo's # but we received no assistance. Thank you.

The electrical system of the car is faulty.the system heats up and causes shortages in the steering wheel all the way to the trunk.

While driving45 mph there was gray white toxic type smoke coming through vents of vehicle. Problem resulted in vehicle being engulfed in flames. Possible cause electrical system failure as noted by gm investigators and fire department. Vehicle was atotal loss.

While the engine is idling the battery meter moves down and the lights dim, a new battery was installed but the problem reoccured, a new alternator was installed due to a stalling condition.nlm

Driver and passenger seat belt mechanisms do not lock when driver has to make a sudden stop.dealer stated seat belts work, just not to consumers weight.. Consumer was involved in an accident on the second occasion, and the seat belt failed to restrain her from hitting the windshield, consumer suffered minor injuries, consumer requested the battery to be replaced, due to it being weak.

To repair this defect, the entire unit would have to be replaced.manufacturer has been notified.this problem is caused by flaw in design replacing the air bag system does not solve the problem because the horn contacts are an integral part of it.the driver thinks a simple procedure to clean or replace the contact activating the horn.

Had to have horn fixed to pass state inspection. Car manufacturer has been allowed to make horn pad and air bag on epiece assemblies.

This vehicle burns 1.5qts a week. I cannot afford to get it fixed therefore i can`t say specificaly what the problem is,but i have found others with this make and model with the exact same problem.

Emissions control computer module always ran in a "open-loop" and all drivability was lost.dealer stated that manufacturer suggested grounding one of the oxygen sensor wires.the vehicle works fine now.

When headlights are on the lights will turn off.consumer, therefore,turned the high beams on, then turned the low beams back on, and the headlights are okay. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has yet to replace any parts. Consumer stated that this condition happens intermittently, consumer was told by mechanic that this condition was common and switch was replaced.

When switching to high beamheadlights go out completely and will not come back on for some time. Fortunately i was not on a curvy road and there was no oncoming traffic. Same problem reported in a car column on a 94 gra nd am. May be problem on other related models.

High pressure power steering hose design allowed for chaffing due to location of line lying over two tabs on the fuel injector, resulting in fluid leak and loss of power steering.

When traveling at any speed and upon depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle will decelerate without warning.it is intermittent. Dealer has replaced parts, proble still is not corrected.

Accelerator spring located within pedal is not strong enough to return acceleration.pedal, therefore ,causes vehicle to run forward , sudden acceleration.
