I purchased my 2006 rendezvous on 8/28/2006.it had 15,445 miles on it and was still covered under the manufacturers warranty.it was originally manufactured with cloth seats but at the time of my purchase i upgraded to leather which the dealership handled and included in the price of my purchase.i have just learned this week, that on 10/31/2006 a recall was issued for the exact model i purchased where cloth seats were later replaced with leather.according to the recall, problems with the airbag sensor have happened on these vehicles.my air bag light has been on for several months.a local repair shop told me it was the sensor.the cost of the repairs have been quoted very high.i was never contacted by the dealership who sold me my car or the manufacturer, gm, regarding this recall.now many years later i will have problems with a resale due to the recall or even worse will face the possibility this problem can not be fixed, leaving my family in danger.i am respectfully requesting an investigation into my claim and would very much appreciate any help you can provide.

2006 buick rendezvous, leather seats. Airbag light on,sometimes off. Is it dangerous?

I purchased this vehicle used in december 2014, the very first night driving it home, the engine would nit start. I immediately called the dealer, took the car back and watched as they ran a diagnostic. Nothing was wrong with it. I did some research and it seems to be a normal issue with the make and model. Then i noticed the faulty gas guage, reading low fuel then all of a sudden i have gas. Again, contacted the dealer, took it back and yet again, diagnostic ran with clear readings. I looked up thaylt issue and of course, complaints about the same issue were common. Finally, onapril 9th i was on my way home and was involved in an accident. It was a front impact accident which totaled the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The windshield was completely shattered, glass flew everywhere. After the front impact, the vehicle rolled over then landed on on the passengers side. How is it safe to have multiple complaints about serious issues and nothing be done about it by the manufactures! i almost lost my life due to the airbags failing which is a, yet again, a common complaint!

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. The contact stated that the air bag light did not illuminate when someone was seated on the passenger side. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 150,000.

Recall on this.

"takata recall" i was in a car accident on 4/8/19 it did not involve another vehicle. It was raining and i was coming off the highway to my exit and looked to my left to see if i was able to merge, when i did my right tire hit the side of some wet grass and when it did my car started spinning outta control and i ended up hitting a palm tree straight on. My air bag did not deploy and i ended up with a broken back in 2 places. I had 2 have 2 surgery's thus far. I had my seat belt on. The impact was hard enough for the bags to deploy but they didn't. The doctor said if my air bags would of deployed i would not have suffered a broken back. Its caused me lots of pain and suffering due to broken back and loss of a new job i was about to start the next day. The attached photos show the driver side where i hit and shows no air bag in site.

The contact owned a 2006 buick rendezvous. While driving 65 mph, a loud banging noise was heard before the vehicle suddenly veered to the right and rolled over. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side rear wheel collapsed. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained minor cuts to both arms, which required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 140,000. Updated 06/14/16*lj

-the contact received recall06v417000 for2006 buick rendezvous .the dealer has been unable to repair the vehicle and asked to buy it back.they made her an offer 0n 12/06/06 which she decline dbecause it did not include the full purchase price.since that time they have not contacted her to make another offer, and the telephone number the dealer gave herwas no longer in operation. She has been unable to contact them.

Dt*:the contact stated the front passenger seat airbag sensor intermittently failed to activate.the vehicle was seen by a dealer, but was unable to alter the weight requirement to activate the sensor.the airbag was inactive up to 100 pounds.however, the passenger weighed 105 pounds, and the airbag sensor light indicated inactive.the manufacturer was consulted, but determined the airbag sensor was designed to activate at the specified weight.the contactfelt that if a person who was 105 lbs could driver a vehicle safely with air bag, why was it unsafe to sit in a passenger seat. Didn't buy a vehicle so that he at 105 lbs would have to sit in the rear seat to be safe.

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. The contact was driving under 5 mph and approaching a stop sign when the vehicle stalled. The failure would recur sporadically. The vehicle was taken to the sears several times where the failure was contributed to a loose battery connection. The failure persisted and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62000.updated 3/25/14the consumer stated the vehicle was fixed. There has been no failure since. Updated 04/23/14

We were traveling on the interstate at 65 miles per hour on june 5, 2016 and june 11, 20176.the vehicle just went totally dead.the motor, the power steering, everything...went totally dead.i was in the passing lane and a transfer truck was on my tail and i had to go into the grass median to avoid getting smashed and the truck had to swerve over to miss me.after repeated attempts to restart the car, it started.i went straight to an auto repair shop and they checked my starter, alternator, and battery.those things were ok and they suggested maybe i had bad gas. On 6/11/13,i was on the road again doing 65 and with no warning whatsoever, the vehicle went dead just like the week before. I was able to pull into a turn lane barely avoiding a rear end collision. We took the car to a repair shop.. When we went to get the car, they told us it was the ignition part that gm was recalling.the mechanic tapped on the part while the vehicle was running and it died immediately.he also asked us if the airbag warning light had been coming on.we said yes it had been for about two months and the check engine light had been on a lot during the last month. We contacted the gm and talked to customer service who told us the rendezvous was not yet on the recall list and i would have to pay for the repair myself. I went to the local gm dealer, [xxx], and the manager told me he could not help me.he said they were independent of gm and if they fixed it, they would not be able to recoup the cost from gm. Do i have any other recourse? is it going to take a family being killed in a rendezvous before gm will take responsibility for this very well known part defect? i have lived throughtwo miracles where my family could easily have been killed because of this known defective part.if i have to pay for this repair, is there a way i can be reimbursed by gm? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. While driving between 25 to 35 mph the vehicle would stall and become very difficult to restart. The dealer offered to inspect the vehicle but she declined and stated that they would improperly inspect the vehicle. She suspects that rain enters inside of the headlights, tail lights, and the cabin.the failure mileage was 90,000. The current mileage was 103,000.updated 11/12/09 the consumer stated she also has a water problem with the vehicle.water continues to enter the vehicle through the floorboard. The seats failed and the ac was not cooling properly which was part of the problem with the electrical system.the consumer stated the problem were due to water become trapped inside the headlamps and rear assembly receptacles. Vehicle has hard start when engine is hot. For example when running errands. By the time you come out of the store the vehicle does not want to start. Takes multiple attempts. Gas must be pimped at the same time as turning ignition in order for the vehicle to start. Multiple mechanics state this is an electrical issue but cannot figure out what is causing the issue. Battery & throttle body have been replaced and still not render to the issue. This issue constantly happens and thankfully occurs when the vehicle is stationary.

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph the vehicle lost power. The contact had difficulty driving onto the emergency lane. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer stated that the body modular which is a part of the computer failed. The dealer replaced the body modular at the owners expense since there were no recalls or warranties related to the failure.the buick manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer to be repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000.

40,000 miles trans went out. Starting grinding incident @same time.

Engine would shut off while driving or not start after driving. Engine power reduced light comes on and speed throttled down to 20mph, check engine light stays on now. Replaced relay box under hood since a connector was found burned. Have also replaced the computer, alternator, ignition relay switch, fuel sensor relay. Has not been driven on highway at all for fear of it happining in high speed traffic. Problems have been consistently happening since purchased oct 2015.

Car kept running hot and no remedy was found for it. Batteries and other repairs were done concerning the electrical things; but the car running hot was never resolved even with replacing the thermostat etc. I could only drive about a block and the check cooling system error came on and the car speed would automatically slow down and the engine would automatically cut off if you continued to drive it while hot....smoke from the hood etc. Would happen. Could feel intense heat when raised the hood. If the car was stationary....after running for a while it would still run hot and eventually the hot light would come on in the inside warning panel. The last mechanic took it apart and never put it back together, neither fixed the car running hot problem. The uploaded files and pictures will show the condition my car was left in and the auto parts taken aloose/apart and not reconnected.

Vehicle shuts down while driving without warning, and it can only be started by moving the fuse box wiring around. Not sure what else to do about this problem. Mechanics are unable to help or diagnose this problem.

I plugged my cell phone into the car charger in the front console.when i returned to the car after about 15 minutes, it was filled with smoke that was coming out of the car charger.i immediately unplugged the charger.i tried to start the car and it was completely dead.after examining the fuses, i noticed that the one for the charger as well as the one for the interior lights was completely melted.after further research it was discovered that the wiring harness under the dash was completely melted - had i not gone out when i did, the car probably would have caught fire.this should never have happened - there should be safety features int he vehicle to cut the power to the charger immediately if there is a short.it was towed to the dealer last night.they are claiming this is not covered by warranty though this is obviously a problem with the rendezvous.besides this - the check engine light has been on twice, the transmission is about to go, the alarm system never worked as well as the remote start.they sold me a vehicle with known issues and don't want to stand behind it.i don't think i will ever buy a buick again.

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous.the contact heard a grinding sound and the brakes became hard when the brake pedal was depressed.the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they replaced the front and rear brakes.shortly afterward, the automatic transmission, wiring for the all-wheel drive, wiring for the speed sensors, and the rear tie rods were all replaced between 17,500 and 22,000 miles.the rear driver's side door also fell off the vehicle and was re-adjusted.the vehicle was taken to the dealer at least once a month for failed components.the failure mileage was 17,542 and current mileage was 23,126.

On sept.21, 2010, while driving my child to school. I pulled out into the highway where my 2006 buick rendezvous stalled out and the service engine light soon came on. On sept.22, 2010 i took my rendezvous to the buick shop where they scanned for codes that came back as the camshaft position sensor faulty. A new sensor was installed and codes cleared on sept.23, 2010. On sept.23, 2010 my rendezvous stalled again and service engine light soon came on while driving on the interstate. On sept.24, 2010 i returned my rendezvous to the dealer, they scanned for codes and the codes came back as the camshaft position sensor faulty again. After a thorough investigation the mechanic found that the part #15306175 a connector and part #15832816f-harness on the rendezvous had a short ground and melted wires. Part #15306175 connector is an egr power valve solenoid connector and part #15832816 f-harness is the harness asm-eng wires. The harness in question was sitting on the top of the battery because of a flaw in the design of engine wiring and where the wire is made to hook on the engine belt cover. This caused the wire harness to be covered in battery acid and corrode and melt the wires. My 2006 buick rendezvous had 68,847 miles on the vehicle at the time this problem started with a repair cost of $330.64 for the camshaft position sensor faulty code which really was not the problem to begin with to the cost of $1,113.95 for the replacement of the engine wiring harness being flawed. Because this to me is a safety issue that can and could be prevented. I have checked out other buick rendezvous on sale and owned by others in my area and the same problem is occurring on these vehicles. The electrical short and melting of the wires could have caused a serious accident for me and my family or other's on the road.

I've had so many problems with this vehicle. Spent over $4000 in repairs in the last 6 months. The first problem i had was while driving on the highway the reduced engine power light and traction system light would come on and the vehicle would just decelerate and wouldn't go over 15mph. I had it repaired once and was told it was the wiring harness and then 2 months later the same thing happened again had it repaired and was told it was the wiring harness and computer that needed replaced. And now i'm having a similar issue but this time the service engine soon light is flashing but the car doesn't want to accelerate and takes several seconds to even get up to 35 mph. I had this repaired once and was told it was a wiring/fuse issue and that the car was only running on 3 cylinders and literally 2 days after the repair it started happening again. This is ridiculous. My mechanic even told me i should just get rid of the vehicle because it obviously has major wiring issues. It only has 130,000 miles.

Engine cut off and reduced engine power light came on while driving down road. Power steering, brakes and everything else completely quit unexpectedly. Could restart after letting sit for 10 minutes, but continued to do this all the way home. Took several more trips out around town and problem just got worse. Was a very dangerous situation, being as it would simply cut off in middle of road while going 55-60 mph and almost unable to keep under control and keep from being hit by other drivers. Parked it at home and researched problem online. Everything i found stated others with same issue would take theirs in for testing and repair and could get no satisfaction, multiple and various parts would be replaced and problem continued. Have replaced alternator, spark plugs and wires, throttle body, ignition switch, cleaned wiring harness connection under drivers seat and checked for corrosion, cleaned mass air flow sensor, and ordered an engine control module, but just found out that it needs to be programmed to the vehicle to work (currently working on finding someone to do that, now). Cannot afford to take to dealership, and after reading all the other dissatisfied individuals info., i do not feel that it would do any good since no part replacement seems to work. Seems like this is becoming a common problem for buick rendezvous vehicles, from what i can see from the other recent complaints. It is also a very dangerous problem. Engines should not stall out while going down the road, thankfully i am just an experienced enough driver that no injuries occurred. Would not have been the same thing if my son or daughter had been driving. It will do no good to file this complaint and no investigation or recall will occur, i'm sure, but at least i can join the other listings showing this is a common problem. Love the vehicle, hate that for the price i paid, i only got 100,00 miles.

At any given speed the "reduced engine power" light comes on and the car comes to a complete stop.there is no power steering, etc.it's extremely dangerous because of being able to get the car off the road.i am reduced to driving on the service road and still do not feel safe.interstate is out of the question.after reading many reviews regarding repairs, i am not inclined to spend a tremendous amount of money for repairing a car that obviously no one can repair.i believe the manufacturer should be responsible for recalling this car.it's extremely dangerous and i cannot believe there have been no fatalities due to the fact at any given time the vehicle loses power.i noticed there was a recall on seat belts, believe me that is minor compared to the terror of being on an interstate or secondary road with grandchildren and the engine on your car completely stops.please intervene on behalf of myself and countless others.obviously this vehicle is not safe for anyone to drive.i will be parking mine because from what i have read it appears this problem is a factory one and the mechanics cannot repair these cars.thank you for your time and consideration and hopefully with enough input the manufacturer will begin recalling the rendezvous and make it a safe vehicle.by the way, on one occasion i started the car, and while still in our garage, "reduced engine power" light came on.thankful i was still in my garage that day.shortly after trying a few times, the car started, then on the way to pick up grandchildren, died again on a two-lane road and had to find a tiny area to pull off.i am not in a position to buy another car. I haven't been able to read where anyone has actually had their car repaired. I boughtthis car especially for driving my 4 grandchildren.i'm 72 and now unable to have that pleasure due to the danger of stopping.

The problem happened while driving, the engine shut off without warning.the 'reduced power engine' light came on.i coasted to side of road to let folks get by and sat and waited for about 5 minutes and tried the key and the engine started.no codes stored.no check engine light.i still had power windows, radio, lights and horn.the silent engine happens at least twice every other day.noone has a sense of what is happening and the safety issue is when i am on the interstate and the engine suddenly dies out.i am a little worried since this is the only car i have to drive to get me back and forth to work.

I was traveling down the interstate doing the speed limit of 70mph. Out of nowhere, the car flashed "reduced engine power" light and would not accelerate. Then the "service engine soon" light came on and a red battery light also. The car lost all power and power steering. I had to force the car into the emergency lane on the interstate without wrecking. I turned the ignition off and let the car sit for a couple of minutes and it started back up. I made it about 10 miles down the road and it did it again. Car will not run more than 10-15 mins without shutting off. Will not drive this car!!! very dangerous for everybody!

2006 buick rendezvous steering column replacement. Consumer states that she has replaced the steering column twice.the left outer tie rod end was loose which the dealer replaced. The consumer also stated when the left turn signal was activated the right turn signal would also blink. The dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.

Fuel gauge has been grossly inaccurate since about the fall of 2009.we are never sure if we are going to run out of gas and be stranded.my wife is an registered nurse who's worked nights and getting off at 2:00 a.m. And running out of gas on the freeway could potentially put her life in danger, not to mention having to look for gas in crime riddled neighborhoods.this has happened once already, where the gauge showed 1/4 tank but was in fact empty, and caused a stall.fortunately this was during the daytime on a lightly traveled rural road although we are just waiting for it to happen in traffic on the freeway.very dangerous.2006 buick rendezvous cxl awd.

Erratic gas gauge !!!any where between 1/2and empty the gas gauge will read something different. Last weekduring mylunch the gas light came on.but, when i left work it read i had a1/4 of tank. I decided to get gas anyway.luckily i did... It took 16 gallons of gas. So it was actually empty.i would have run out of gas on my way home.i have taken my suv to the dealership 5 times now and they still have mot corrected the problem.i have read on line there are so many other people out there with the same problem. Please do a recall and fix our vehicles before someone runs out of gas and gets hits on the side of the road.

2006 buick rendezvous will not start until i put my foot on gas pedal.

The gas gauge on my 2006 buick rendezvous is very erratic. It shows 1/2 tank one minute, and can quickly drop to less than 1/4 of a tank.basically, you can't trust it at all. I have read of similar problems with other gm suvs and ask that you add the rendezvous to the list. Many people seem to have this problem.

In 02-06 i traded a '03 buick rendezvous for a '06 rendezvous. Taking a financial loss on the trade, because, with a serious heart condition, i was willing to take the loss in exchange for the security and safety of a "new" car under warranty, signing a low lease" agreement. Instantly i noticed a problem with the rough drivability of the car. A right or left turn would result in the wheel pulling in the opposite direction of the turn while the "wheel" then "skipped" back around to center.the gas mileage was not as reported by gmac. I'm lucky if i get 250 miles per16 gal. Tank. The gauge drops 1/4 to 1/2 a tank in less than 10-12 miles, or registers 1/2 full after being "topped off". I notified gmac that i wanted out of my lease agreement due to their unsuccessful attempts to fix these problems. In 4 days gm couldn't balance 10 new tires or fix the gauge. I'm distressed and annoyed. Carl blacks sales rep, bob hascom, said he would initiate a "buy back" on 08-01-06. The matter however has been ignored. Waiting patiently 3 hrs. One day at their service depart.(after being instructed to come back after putting 500 miles on the car)for the above issues, i read a brochure on "wheel vibratiion", detailing "force or dynamic wheel balancing". Buick has put 10 new tires on my car over 4 days on the 2nd occasion. It stated that the inability to balance tires could be a "wheel to axle mounting error", which i suspect is the true problem. With the gauge issue, i never know if i am truly out of gas or have enough gas to get home. My sense of security is destroyed: the only reason for taking a $$ loss on the trade in the first place. Can this situation be investigated?

Fuel line corroded through and leaking in the engine compartment.

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. The contact stated the fuel line burst and leaked fuel. The leak was located in the front of the vehicle just below the drivers seat. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated the fuel line burst in four places. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 82,000 and the current mileage was 82,516.

2006 buick rendezvous has massive fuel leak on fuel supply line leading from tank to injectors. This is a known issue with this model and year due to the heat shield wrap installed by manufacturer. Occurs when vehicle is running and then drips for in excess of 5 minutes after vehicle is turned off.

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. While the vehicle was parked, there was a fuel odor in the cabin. The contact discovered that fuel was leaking from the vehicle and observed a section of the fuel line that had excessive rust. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vin was unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

Discovered problem before an incident occurred but i believe this issue requires some attention. The steel fuel supply line on my 2006 buick rendezvous that goes from the gas tank to the fuel injectors has a sleeve on it, located beneath the drivers seat, that traps moisture causing accelerated rust and corrosion of the pressurized supply line. The vehicle is only six years old and the amount of rust around the sleeve is advanced relative to the surrounding areas. Without attention, the fuel line appears as if failure is imminent. While rust is inevitable and expected, this amount of rust in a relatively short period of time is surprising and, most likely, caused by the protective sleeve installed at the factory.

Fuel lines in engine are rusted and needed to be replaced.this occurred around engine and leak could have started a fire in the engine compartment because of the hot pipes etc.this leak was extremely dangerous because of location

The contact owns a 2006 buick rendezvous. The contact stated that while adding air to the tire, he noticed that there was a severe leak of gasoline coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who advised him that the fuel line had become rusted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the rusted fuel line. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure and current mileages were approximately 37,000......updated 12/20/12the consumer stated the manufacturer called the failure an enviormental issue. Updated 12/31/2012

My gas cap light and service engine light continue to come on since january of 2014. I have been told several reasons why this happen and took my vehicle back to carmax three times for same issue. Here is different diagnosis and the repairs done: 2 new factory installed gas caps and purge solenoid replaced due to leak. Both lights are still on.

I am the owner of a 2006 buick rendezvous with 133,000+ miles. I am writing to document a serious safety issue that has occurred as a result of a manufacturer defect on my vehicle. On october 17 2016 i filled my tank at the shell station at 5842 columbia pike in virginia. Once the gas tank was filled, i noticed a significant amount of fuel pouring from the underside, top and down the side and rearmost end of the gas tank. The fuel spillage continued for approximately five minutes but not before at least a half gallon of fuel leaked from the tank.when the tow truck arrived, the driver told me that he could not transport the vehicle because of the risk posed by the fuel leak. I contacted another tow truck who took my vehicle to ourismanin alexandria virginia. Currently, i am without a vehicle and will incur significant expense and inconvenience through a vehicle rental or public transportation until my vehicle is repaired. Since the incident, i discovered that the issue is prevalent on all years of the vehicle. There are thousands of complaints and numerous nhtsa campaigns which point to fuel line corrosion, fuel inlet check valve weld breakage, and fuel tank rust as prominent causes. Gm issued a recall for specific vins providing repair at no cost to the owner. My research also revealed that many owners whose vehicles had the same defect but we're not covered under the recall, were either provided a fully covered repair, or reimbursed for expenses under a special service coverage provision.given the significant risk of ignition, fire and/or explosion that this documented manufacturer defect has caused, and the safety risk that this vehicle now poses to me and my family, i am requesting that whatever repair is required to remedy this defect be covered in full by general motors. I will await and expect a response by friday october 29, 2016.

Problem with emergency brake on 2006 buick rendezvous.i am unhappy with the emergency brake on the buick. After some discussion with the repair department of the dealer, described in the copy of the letter to the dealer below, i was told that the emergency brake was not adjusted properly and they fixed it; of course under warranty. But, in my opinion, the brake is still not adjusted properly. It does not hold the car. The car feels safely stopped only when in 'park.' i have an oldsmobile silhouette and when we put on the emergency brake, it holds the car.in reply to the attached letter i received a phone call from a representative of the anderson dealership, mr. Taylor. He told me by phone that the emergency brake on the buick rendezvous was different than the oldsmobile by design and that it really wasn't intended to fully hold the car when it is stopped but in 'drive.'i have two questions.1. How is the buick rendezvous supposed to be stopped in the event of regular brake failure?2. Is this something with my particular buick or is this something that needs to be taken up with gm to fix?************below is my original letter to mr. Mortimer***************i am unhappy with the emergency brake on the buick. I raised this with the service department on my first or second visit after purchase. One of the first things i was told was that for service to look at this would cost me some money. This is when the car had only a few thousand miles on it and is under a bumper to bumper warranty. When i pointed this out the gentleman said it might take time to fix because the brake man was not in. I said i would wait. Afterwards, i was told that the brake was not adjusted properly and they fixed it; of course under warranty.but, in my opinion, the brake is still not adjusted properly. It does not hold the car. In the silhouette, when we put on the emergency brake, it holds the car.

2006 buick rendezvous:operator stopped the car in parking lot, turned off the ignition and removed the keys.car was in drive "d" and keys were removed.later, car rolled backward and hit another car in parking lot (luckily no one was injured).dealer indicates that the keys cannot be removed when car is in drive.the rendezvous safety feature in the steering wheel / ignition is not working.

This vehicle is a joke. I've had the ball joints worked on, gear shift (suddenly wouldn't change gears anymore), the transmission pump needs replacing, and when i drive, specifically if i turn or have to go over a speed hump, or over a small dip, there's a loud pop and lots of creaking even though the tire rod, ball joints and wheel bearings were replaced. After they were replaced, everything was quiet. About a year later, i'm hearing noises again.i've just grown accustomed to the fact that my car is loud. I know not to buy another buick.

2006 buck rendezvous with 55,212 miles had front wheel bearings go bad.cost was over $300 each to replace the front bearing assembly.gm and buck refused to cover the cost.

I have a 2006 buick rendezvous that i paid $11,000. For having it for 2 years now i have trans problems at 93,000 miles with the transmission. Started not shifting into 4th gear, had the 3/4 shift sensor replaced same thing, then had the pressure control sensor replaced same thing. Looked up consumer complaints and see page after page of people having the same issues right at 92,000. Apparently this is an issue. Now the dealer wants another $5000. To replace it. I have a lemon and i want it fixed or replaced. That's $16,000 for a $9,000 car. Really come on gm step up your game. My family depends on this car and without it we could lose everything.i am disabled and a vet of the us marine corps.

There is a noise from the engine compartment when the transmission is shifted from forward to reverse and back.there is a growl coming from the rear differential when the differential is warmed up and a turn is made at any speed.according to a mechanic, all these problems are due to drive/power train looseness. While there has not been an accident yet, it appears that one is likely.

40,000 miles trans went out. Starting grinding incident @same time.

On june 12, 2006 i was leaving my work place with both of my children.i was in the process of strapping my daughter's seat belt on her (age 5) when my 2 year old son jumped up into the driver seat and pulled the vehicle out of park.the car immediately started to roll backwards, as it was parked on a gradual slope.i was trapped behind the left side passenger door until the car made a slight turn and i was able to get out from behind the door.with the door still open the car then made a hard right turn and thepassenger door opened where my daughter was sitting caught the tree and bounced back forward approximately 10 feet where it came to rest.i ran down to the car got my son out of the driver seat and pulled the keys straight out of the ignition.the motor of the car was not running at the time either.i phoned the dealership the next morning and they told me that there is no way that the shift lever can be pulled out of the parked position without the brake being depressed, which it was not as my son was standing in the front seat the entire time.they then called gm and i was told to call the customer service number.i called and after 2.5 weeks of waiting gm is claiming that this particular car, 2006 buick rendezvous can be pulled out of park if the key was in the accessory position, which i do not believe it was because the radio would have been playing which it was not.therefore gm is taking no responsibility for the damages to my vehicle.

I own a 2006 buick rendezvous suv. This suv has 59,000 miles. In november a sensor light came on that states "reduce engine speed" while driving and you lose all power. This includes steering, brakes, speed and the engine stalls. However the radio stays on. I was traveling on a hwy with a speed limit of 45 mph.i lose control of steering, brakes and speed control. The suv stalled and i had to change three lanes to get out of traffic. I was concerned about getting hit or hitting another car. This has happened frequently. Two separate mechanics had recommend replacing the throttle body but one said there was no guarantee this would solve my problem. We replaced this part in december at a cost of $400 and now i still lose power and am afraid of being hit or causing an accident. As this week this problem has occurred every day i drove it. Buick insists there are no recalls regarding this issue for my 2006 however there is a bulletin for gmc but different models/years. This is dangerous and i am afraid to drive this vehicle. I cannot sell or trade this in with this type of defect. I feel gm should fix this dangerous defect. Please investigate.

The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 73,000.

Complete and total loss of steering while driving down highway.fortunate that there was no oncoming traffic, loss of control, or damage.

I have a 2006 buick rendezvous that i guess pressure builds up in power steering pump and somehow blows powersteering fluid all over belts, alternator and engine and compartment under hood this makes belts squeal and some come all out from under hood. This has happened to me twice since i bought the buick in late november 2009. I have read that other people on car forum said that they are also having same problems with there rendezvous. I have the 3.5 engine in mine and wanted to complain and see if any other complaints have been recalled on this. I see that pontiac has problems withthe power steering pump also and they have had a recall on them recently. So just wanted to pass on the information and problems that i am having idon't know what to do with this problem. I have to keep adding the fluid because it keeps blowing it all over my motor and compartment area. I hope that this does not cause my vehicle to have an accident or catch fire.

I was driving in right lane, someone cut me off, by switching lanes & cutting in front of me as light turned green. I pressed on my brakes, which went all the way to the floor, hitting the person in front of me. I found out later that i injured my left knee, displaced my knee cap. I was traveling alone. Airbags did not activate.during the second incident my daughters where traveling with me. My daughter's were with me. I enter road from right, heard a popping noise. Pressed brakes which went to the floor, car seem to accelerate and i ran into the back of the car. Airbags once again didn't activate. Stunned from the weirdness of the incident i couldn't think. I told her i was ok. After getting back in car i was hurting & so were my daughters. Life changed for us. They have back & neck issues. We see various doctors to manage pain.

2006 rendezvous tire pressure was low on all four tires.the vehicle is equipped with 17 inch wheels.a few days after the vehicle was purchased the consumer noticed that the vehicle lacked the smooth ride and stability as his previous 2003 model.the consumer notified the dealer of the problem.the consumer checked the tire pressure and it was 28 psi in all four tires.the consumer increased the air to 35 psi as recommended but the vehicle became even more difficult to control at highway speeds.

My last alignment was at the extreme of correction. I was told any further adjustments would require taking apart the front wheel section and drilling new holes to put in new adjusters. The car has 38k miles. I was told this was not a warranty item and it would cost over $200.00.

My wife was traveling south on a 2 lane roadway, heard a loud bang, lost control of steering and crossed the centerline , then swerved back across road to her side and struck a guardrail. Later we found that the right rear ball joint broke off causing the wheel to collapse and when the car skidded out of control the left rear tire blew off the rim. This car had regular maint. And service. If she would've hit someone head on and caused a fatality no one would know the real cause and everyone would assume she got distracted and caused the accident which makes me wonder how many times this occurred and nobody is the wiser. The ntsb needs to make buick issue a safety recall now!

10/2012 - (aprox 115,000 miles on vehicle) vehicle was turning left onto a city street when without notice the right rear ball joint broke off and forced me to the side of the street. Luckily there were no cars directly behind me. The vehicle had to be towed and repaired. The left ball joint was deemed good at that time. Once in repair, front tie rods where also replaced in prevention of any failure because of there poor condition.2/2015 - (135,000 miles on vehicle) driving vehicle down major highway at 65 mph the left rear ball joint broke without notice causing me to slide out of control and crash into a ditch. Only because there was not heavy traffic and the blessings of the location and snow, did i not suffer injuries to myself or vehicle. 100 ft in any other direction would of resulted in a different ending. This vehicle had been serviced with tire replacement and alignment without any indication of ball joint distress. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and fear any other major fault in the vehicle parts/design that might occur without notification. Updated 3/31/16

I was driving on the freeway going around a bend at about 65 mph when i heard a bang and thought it was the tire. It took all my effort to get it over to the side of the road. I have new tires on the vehicle.when i got out to look, the wheel was bent out and first thing i thought was tie rod. Tire is fine.when my husband and uncle came out they noticed the ball joint had broke off. Thank goodness i had control of the vehicle and did not hurt myself or someone else. Don't know the extent of what is going on yet, but i do not feel safe in the vehicle after seeing so many complaints about the suspension, etc. In fact when i have driven it in snow, even with the new tires, i didn't feel like i had very good control. I have never felt that way with other vehicles that i have owned.

I currently own a 2006 buick rendezvous with 63,000 miles on it.the right front wheel bearing recently failed at 62,100 miles.i have owned a 2002 buick rendezvous and a 2004 buick rendezvous, on both of these vehicles, both front wheel bearings failed while in warranty and under 50,000 miles and were repaired by buick.but now they are refusing to repair my 2006.i feel that buick knows they have a problem with wheel bearing failure but are not taking care of all the failures.i paid to replace the bearing at a cost of $358 and would like to be reimbursed by buick for this expense.they have refused to do so.

I purchased this car and every since i've replaced many tires, tie rods, electrical issues, service engine lights, maf sensor, downstream sensor, my mechanic hotwired my fuel pump lines with a 50 amp fuse to fuse box, battery dying, alignment issues, car dying on hiway or any street, gas gauge issues, you name it... Dropped a lot of money for a crummy car, this was my wife's birthday present that has a mind of its own. My mechanic and triple a both love me... Hah. Do yourself a favor... Stay very far away from this car.......

2006 rendezvous oversized exterior rearview mirrors created a blind area when the driver glanced either to the left or to the right.

Fractures appearing in windshield. Starting at lower portion of glass. First appeared after after a cold change in weather with snowfall. Second appeared after extremely hot day. Both occurred with vehicle parked in driveway.

Our 2006 buick rendevous has a windshield that has a distortion present that is distracting while you drive. Dealer said the distortion is in all rendevous because of the laminate used for heads up display (we do not have a hud in the vehicle). If this is the case and all rendevous have this distortion the windshields should be recalled, they present a safety hazard and i'm not sure of their integrity in a crash.
