While driving on a slippery highway, my rendezvous was involved in a crash which consisted of a left front/side collision with a concrete guardrail and a head on collision with a metal guardrail on opposite sides of the highway.speeds of these collisions ranged from approx. 40mph to 25mph (first/front side collision @40mph and second/final head on collision @ 25mph).in neither collision did the airbags deploy.vehicle suffered major damage, mainly cosmetic, and totaling approx $5000, but vehicle was not totaled.vehicle was towed to a dealership, pending repair.

I was involved in an accident.the right front of my vehicle struck a car that came into my lane.i continued across the highway (garden state parkway in new jersey) and hit a guardrail hard with the left front of my vehicle.the airbags did not deploy with either front end collision.my vehicle sustained $10,000 in damage and was totaled by the insurance company.
Trac light would come on and off a few times. Eventually the trac off, and abs light stay on. It occurs at random moments while stationary and in motion. Disabling the traction control. This is hazardous when it is on and in motion with not favorable weather ie rain or snow. I have had this happen to me, driving in the rain with the abs disabled, i had to apply my brakes hard to avoid rear ending the car in front of me who had hit their brakes to avoid an accident as well. I have replaced hub assembly, rotors brakes, brake calipers, brake hoses the whole nine yards. Was told by one mechanic that when the traction system lights are on and abs is disengaged this causes higher wear and tear on the rotors and brake pads. Was also told that the abs wiring harness is too short, so it gets pulled when making turns. This issue will also happen if i go over bumps, like railroad tracks, the small street ditch for rain at the end of a driveway. Sometimes i just start the car up and it will immediately come on.i also had the side sear front passenger airbag deploy when a friend closed the seatbelt in the door. The car was in drive, however it was not in motion. The buckle got stuck on the frame at the lock latch. The door flew back open, air bag deployed, and all interior lights on the car as well as the dash lit up.

The contact stated that while the driver drove at approximately 90 mph, he lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to roll over several times and crashed into an embankment. The driver and passenger frontal air bags failed to deploy however, the front passenger side air bag did deploy. The driver died and the passenger sustained injuries to the hand, face, and shoulders that required medical attention. The vehicle was taken to the sheriff station for further investigation. A police report was filed. The failure and current mileage was 130,000.

While traveling at 30 mph another vehicle that was traveling at 45and hit consumer's vehicleon the passenger's side. Upon impact, none of the vehicles airbags deployed.
I was in a head on collision hitting a car that ran a stop sign off a highway. He was traveling at a high rate of speed. No airbags deployed. The entire front end was pushed into me causing extensive injuries to both knees and left shoulder because the seat belt did lock upon impact.
Takata recallclosed passenger door on a hill, which caused it to slam shut, passenger side airbag went off, car was parked and not on.
Traveling on highway, roads were wet but not icy.hit a wet spot on a curve.slid slightly to the right and passenger tire dropped off pavement.easily corrected back onto the road, but then the back hydroplaned and the vehicle rolled over and crashed, landing upside down in a culvert.driver and front seat passenger transported to local hospital via squad. Vehicle totaled by insurance.none of the airbags deployed.
2004 buick rendezvous was struck in the right front corner yet the air bags never deployed.***no answer required***. *mrthe consumer was given several reasons why the air bag did not deploy.one was that the vehicle wasn't traveling fast enough, the second was that the sensor was not activated on impact and the third one was that there may have been some type of air bag defect. The vehicle was deemed totaled by the consumer's insurance company.

The rendevous was struck between the driver side rear door and the driver rear wheel well causing the rendevous to fall over on its passenger side, slide 15-30 feet, hit an embankment and ended up on its 4 wheels again.

The contact owns a 2004 buick rendezvous.while driving approximately 65 mph on normal road conditions, the speedometer and fuel gauge displayed inaccurate readings.the speed that was displayed was lower than the actual traveled speed.the failure occurred intermittently.the driver observed that the failure occurred more frequently when traveling extended distances.in addition, the contact was concerned about driving around curves without the benefit of knowing the desired speed.there were no warnings prior to the failures.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing and they stated that the failures were contributed to malfunctions of the instrument cluster, which needed to be replaced.the service warranty was expired and the vehicle has not been repaired.the manufacturer has been notified of the failures.the vin and failure mileage were unknown.the current mileage was 51,000.
On 7/27/04 vehicle suddenly stalled while sitting in traffic on interstate 4. After several minutes vehicle restarted. Drove to dealer for servicing on 7/28 . Dealer ran scan test and found multiple lost of communication failures at multiple modules. Upon diagnostics found bussed electrical center connectors not torqued to specs. Tightened all connectors at bec and road tested. Vehicle returned ok on 7/29/04. On 8/5/04 vehicle suddenly stalled while traveling 60 miles per hour on interstate 4 in heavy traffic endangering driver and passenger. After several minutes vehicle restarted and vehicle was returned to dealer on 8/6 /2004. Dealer stated diagnostics found multiple failure codes setting. Per gm tech assistance center was advised to replace ignition switch and road test. Replaced ignition switch and road tested vehicle. Vehicle returned ok on 8/10/04. Upon picking the vehicle up on 8/10/04 from the dealer. The vehicle was driven several miles on route 50 and suddenly stalled while traveling 45 miles per hour endangering the driver. After sitting several minutes the vehicle restarted and was immediately returned to the dealer. The vehicle again stalled upon arriving at the dealer . Dealer currently has the vehicle . The vehicle must be repaired to prevent further stalling since driver and any passengers are in danger along with any other vehicles in close proximity. The dealer and buick have been made aware that the stalling creates a hazardous condition for the driver and the public. Due to the repetition of such stalling that has occurred any future hazards created by this malfunction are foreseeable by the dealer and buick. As such, we can only accept the vehicle back upon the dealer's and buick's assurance that it safe to drive at the posted speed limitson the public highways. If such assurance is not possible , then as a matter of public policy the vehicle should be replaced or our money refunded.
While driving, the vehicle would just shut down. This caused all the functions of the vehicle to become inoperable.there was no warning.the vehicle would not start again for a couple of hours.the consumer contacted the dealer. However, the problem recurred.in attempts to correct the problem the ignition relay #59 in the fuse box and the dampness/corrosion on the terminals to the body connector of the fuel pump were replaced on two separate occasions. *sc
My second complaint (10110658).i was driving down the highway at speeds between 55 - 65mph;when i slowed down as i was approaching the light, the car cut off.i shift the gear back to park and restarted the vehicle and proceeded.the car had been warm for 20 minutes and it was around 7:40 a.m. In the morning.this is at least the 8th incident where i've been in the middle of traffic and having to restart my vehicle.i'm concerned about a possible accident in the near by future.after taking it back to the dealership in february, they suggested that i tried using fuel from more reputable gas stations such as shell, texaco, amoco.using better gas has not resoved this problem.
A complete electrical system failure occurs periodically without any warning on my 2004 buick rendezvous. This is the exact same problem in the recall notice issued by nhtsa 05v157000. I contact gm about this problem and their position is the recall is not specific/covered by my vin number. I suggest all 2004 buick rendezvous be considered for this recall as this is a potentially serious problem.
While driving at aprx 60 mph the car just died stalled no power had to man handle car to a stop with out getting into an accident almost like driving a bait car the car just shut down this is not the first time had to get towed car still wont start put key in all bells and whistles light up and sounds then nothing as if alarm cut off .
Dash gauges, warning lights, & alarms, bells flash on & off and vehicle suddenly runs rough. Dash codes of all sorts blink on& off. New battery and new altenator installed, problem still exists. This happened first when drivingon hiway.after vehicle pulled off road and engine turned off. The dash code then read battery issue. We tried to drive again but now vehicle operated roughly and there was no more daylight. We had vehicle towed 100 miles. Then paid for new battery problem did not change so we had a new altenator installed after having a diagnostic test advising the need for a new altenator. I am quite upset becaus ei feel that there is fraud on part of sears autorepair. Diagnostic said altenator was the problem. I paid over $450 for that service and another $150 for the battery.

Engine stops working with loss of all control, battery turns over but vehicle will not start.after approximately 1/2 hour engine starts.drove to mechanic and no information availoable in computer.all data removed..problem repeated at 70,00 miles 90,000 miles and at 150,000 miles.no mechanic could find any pronlem. First occurred when parking after a 50 mile drive. Next appeared at a stop light. Last apperared while slowing down at an intersection.took vehicle off the road after the last incident. Feared for my life.
Purchased the vehicle on 7/15/04, 3 days later upon startup the security light on the dashboard came on and stayed on until the vehicle was restarted.dealer replaced a body control module and that solved the problem.in october 04, the engine stalled while pulling into a parking space;as the engine stalled the check engine light came on.vehicle restarted and check engine light turned off.had vehicle towed to the dealer and several body control modules were replaced.during this time had an intermittent problem with the radio not holding presets, also upon startup the radio would randomly pick a station that was not preset. I will have to return to the dealer in the near future for a possible problem with the anti-theft;the dashboard light does not flash to show that it is armed, also a rubbing noise coming from the right front area just as the vehicle starts to moveeither forward or rearward. Worst american car i have ever owned and will never buy another gm car again.
The speedometer stops working correctly.while traveling at highway speeds the speedometer will read anywhere between below 0 mph and 30 mph.it happens regardless of the weather.there have been multiple occurrences that the speedometer is working correctly, (confirmed by calculations using time, mile markers & odometer readings,) and at any point during travel it will stop and the needle is observed to gradually drop below the 0 mph mark.sometimes restarting, whether by turning off the ignition or using the autostart to remove the key while leaving the vehicle running, will temporarily correct the problem.the problem was noted by an independent mechanic at the end of september while addressing potential transmission issues.(which also has not been resolved.the mechanic was unable to find a cause to "hard shift" problem that began several months ago.)the currently mileage on the vehicle is approximately 81,200 miles.it is being taken to a mechanic this week to address the issue.
One day i woke up got in my car started driving and it wouldn't go past 55mph i took it to east detroit auto on gratiot in detroit mi and they kept my car for over 30 days saying they don't know what's wrong with it. They changed the fuel pump and gave me my car back not working. I just recently brought this car and its a huge hassle.
Speedometer worked erratically showing wrong mph.this was similar problem with other gm vehicles that resulted on a law suit and settlement.speedometer was defective and the same sub - contractor produced these units.gm refused to make good on this.
I can be on the street driving and my vehicle just stalls out and i have to get it restarted and pulling the side of the road to restart it that's the first issue the second one is my check engine light keeps coming on and off and my traction system light stays on had it looked at it was fine system light remains on.

Multiple times the vehicle has stalled randomly while being driven.this has happened so many times i've lost count (at least 20).this happens at various speeds (from 0 mph to 70 mph).the entire electrical system shuts down when the vehicle stalls causing the steering and brakes to be less effective.this could easily result in an accident.the vehicle has been taken to 2 different buick dealers for diagnostic and repair.the dealerships have not been able to fix the problem.the ignition switch and the ignition relay have both been replaced and all the electrical contacts have been cleaned and checked.these repairs have not fixed the vehicle.i've called buick customer service and they refuse to do anything further without additional charge to the owner.the owner will not be making further repairs.

Purchased 2004 buick rendezvous 6/22/2005 and while traveling to work on busy belt-line waiting in traffic, the vehicle just shut down completely and battery light came on. Put vehcile in neutral and it restarted. Later found that presets in radio had all been erased which would indicate a complete loss of electrical power. This has the potential to be a serious safety concern due to the possibilty of rear end collisions. Have read of similar complaints from other owners of this vehicle with out resolution. Will contact dealership if problem continues to happen.
Suddenly about 3 months ago the vehicle began to stall in traffic while being driven.the dash board lights all go off, the radio washes out the presets, when the engine is turned off sometimes the radio presets are erased.many times the auto locks and unlocks when sitting in the lot.the dealer has worked on it at least fivetimes, two engine control modules, a new wiring harness, the auto has had its radio "recalibrated" this thing is dangerous because it keeps shutting off while driving.dealer says he has had multiple problems with similar cars, and that they continue to behave irrationally.obviously an electrical problem, gm denies there is anything wrong, but when it shuts off going 0-60 mph on the highway there is a problem.not to mention that when the dash board lights shut off, or the radio starts to act unusual it is very unsafe especially at night.one time the steering wheel radio button were switched, seek was band, and band seek.
No acceleration,when i go up a hill no acceleration, or when i go to get on the highway no acceleration, and very dangerous. I went to dealership for a diagnostic test and i replaced fuel tank pressure sensor and vent solenoid, no acceleration. I went to another dealership for diagnostic. They recommended that i replace 3 electrical harnesses and connectors $1350 dollars parts and labor too much for me and that may not solve my problem.i told them the problem was corrosion in the connectors to the fuel pump $160 dollars later they agreed with me. Still dangerous.

My 2004 buick rendezvous has been in the shop 8 times in 10 1/2 months.currently i am experiencing a loud noise (much like an air raid horn) while i am stopped in traffic and when i turn my vehicle off.it started back in april, the dealership could not recreate the noise, in the shop again 11/4/05 and again 11/11/05.i just do not feel safe in the car. Dealer stated there was nothing defective.on several occasions while driving with no warning the vehicle came to a complete stop. Consumer could hear other vehicle applying thier brakesand the car following swerved to the right to avoid hitting the vehicle, whice could have resulted in a serious accident or/and death.
1) upon running the air conditioner on hot days, it would make loud moaning sound when ignition was shut off2) compressor has gone out for the second time and air conditioner will no longer blow cold air. 3) 03/05 replaced valve core and 08/05 r&r or replaced case.
I had a transmission repair at an ammco transmission outlet. As a result of the repair my instrument cluster was not working the first day the car was declared repaired. I left the car with the repairer who told me a second transmission would be installed. I was told approximately ten days later my car was repaired. When the car was picked up a second the time the problem was not resolved. I was told it needed to time for the computer to reset itself. That never happened since i found out later that the computer was in default mode and was not communicating with the transmission. Aamco pretended to tell me my car was safe to drive throughout this ordeal. The same night i received the car back my exterior lights went when my car glitched again. I almost hit the side of the mountain because there was total darkness. My complaint is that there is no oversight of secondary repair shops. I have tried hard. No one should go through what i have been through. This mechanics used many excuses but in the end it was a pinched (best word i can utilized) wire that caused the problem. After being turned down by four local mechanics the problem was fixed by the dealer. No one was wants to step forward to explain my problem. However i have documents to show that my electrical system was working fine prior to this repair. The attorney generals office in pa has limited authority on this issue and cannot help me. These people need oversight someone will be killed or already has.

Vehicle's manual states 18/25 mpg, vehicle average 13.0 mpg. Service department at rydell (dealership) stated 18 mpg after 40 miles test drive, service department at vermont chevy/buick (dealership) stated 27 mpg after 25 (freeway) miles test drive. Both service departments are wrong: vehicle averages 13.0 mpg under normal driving conditions & normal driving habits on city streets and freeway. Dealer could not duplicate problem, i was advised that vehicle checked ok after scan. Problem persists. Service advisor/service manager advised that this high mpg is normal for this type of vehicle: 3.6 l engine. Door locks sometimes work, sometimes don't. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Scan and check system after recall. Problem persisting. Passenger side mirror moves inside mirrors housing at highway speeds (65 m/h) and have to be re-set upon reaching destination. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Problem persisting. Audio system could not read all cds. Dealer replaced radio/cd player twice. Problem persisting.driver's seat moves back and forth. Dealer replaced seat adjuster due to excessive loosening. Replaced seat track assy. Vehicle went to rydell's service department three (3) times due to excessive alignment/steering issues: vehicle currently still pulling to right side of road, steering wheel off center. Dealer did not resolve issues after three attempts, alignment now out of warranty (7.5 k miles only), problem persisting.

I brought a buick rendevouz on july 17,2004.from the very first week i had it i told the dealer the gas gage doesnot work properly.they checked it over and still cannot find ahything wrong with it.and it still not working properply now but theat is not the biggest issu with this vehicle.the first incident 10.10.04.i was driving on the highway to work when the vehilce just stalls out.i didn't know what was going on.the car get rolling for a couple of sceonds and then i applied the brake put the car in park. A couple of seconds lateri started the truck up and begin driving.i dropped the truck off to the dealer and told them what had occurred.they replaced a apart and sent me on my way.since then the vidhilce hase stalled out over 10 times.and someday it stalls out twice a day.i have brought it back to the dealer and they keep changeing and replacing parts but its not fixing the stalling out.i am scared that me and my daughter will killed from it stalling out.they just changed something witht the transmisson and now it back in the shop with the same problem.

I purchased a used car from jim doran auto center3075 n hwy 99w po box 598 mc minngville, or 97128 503-472-3131 this vehicle was advertised as a "cream puff" meaning the vehicle was in excellent condition and after i received it in california it cost me over $3,000 in repairs.please remember that even know the suv sold to me by this dealership was sold (as-is) but advertised and a car in excellent condition. I have paid over $3,000 in repairs to this car just to bring it up to pass a dmv vehicle inspection for california.some kind of resolution to satisfy me momentarily for the repairs for the false advertising that this dealership posted online for the sale of the vehicle. The car sold to me: 2004 buick rendezvous sold (as-is) but the suv was advertised as a "cream puff" being in excellent condition and it's been anything but!the value of the vehicle is just under $6,000 in excellent condition and this vehicle was not even in fair condition.

2004 buick rendezvous quits running.engine shuts off while driving.dealer replaced pcm and some part of a wiring harness. Car was good for 3 months and then the problem came back.had it towed to a garage that disconnected and reconnected modules and whatever.car was good for a month and then today it quit running again.it is a dangerous situation that needs to be addressed.
This has happened quite a few times when i am traveling.the ignition sticks when i try to start the car, when i turn the key on to start it, the ignition sticks and it won't start it just keeps turning over.it's very scary, it has even happened when i am not traveling, when the car is just sitting in my driveway and i am going somewhere try to start it and the ignition sticks.
Looked down to check my speed and it registered 30 mph.i know i was going faster than that as i was driving on a 55 mph highway.from that time it varied considerably, at times showing 0 mph when going down the road. Today it seems to be working again. In researching i've discovered that this is a known problem but if your vehicle has more than 70,000 miles it was not covered in a recall for the problem.also when searching for recalls on this year and model it shows several but i have never been notified of any recalls.

All of the readings of gauges are accurate, however most of the lights on the cluster do not work. The turn signal lights, check engine light, etc. Don't work, however the lights on the speedometer, gas gauge, and as of recently the temperature gauge work. The rendezvous has experienced no other issues. I haven't contacted gm because i assumed i'd get shrugged off due to the age and mileage of the vehicle.

I have been seriously frustrated with my vehicle.i have taken to mechanics where i paid to have it placed on the diagnostic machine and i have had every fuse checked numerous times.not once but many times over the past year.my 2004 buick rendezvous' gas gauge and speedometer work when they want to.most of the time not at all.the speedometer will read over 100 mph.the gas gauge doesnot work.i took it to another mechanic today to be told it must be in the board.i have been told it has something to do with a ground wire.i don't know but for the money i spent on this car it should work.i am worried about safety.i have had problems with it stalling also.one window will not roll up and down by the button on the door (only by the driver's button).one door won't open from the inside.and the back windshield wiper does not touch the window.this also has been looked at since 2 weeks after i purchased the vehicle.i just found out about gm' recalls etc today and am hoping something will finally get done cause i love my suv.
We have a 2004 buick rendezvous that does not keep accurate speedometer readings and it jumps lanes or severely pulls to the left. We have been trying to get this repaired but it does not do these things when the dealer drives it. This has gone on over 3 months.the speedometer reads excessive speeds over 100 mph or it reads 20 mph sitting in the drive. We have pictures of the speedometer reading 100+ miles per hour but they wont take those. The dealer can not get the nac warranty department to cover or replace the cluster because they cant duplicate the problem. I recently read where there is a class action lawsuit against gm due to the samespeedometer issues.

While pressing down on the horn, it failed. Thedealer had inspected the vehicle several timesand could not duplicate the problem.
Dt:the starter and horn did not always work. Thermostat andfuel gauge was not accurate.there had previously been a problem with the ignition switch and it was repaired due to a recall.the problem with the starter started in march of 2005.these problems have not been repaired as of yet.when the consumer took the vehicle it to the dealership they told her it was designed that way.
2004 buick rendezvous - extremely unreliable horn (design flaw).i have narrowly escaped many accidents by sheer luck.have had people backing into me & been unable to honk the horn because i could not find the very limited "sweet spot."when the steering wheel is turned even slightly, it is impossible to find!
A complete electrical system failure occurs periodically without any warning on my 2004 buick rendezvous. This is the exact same problem in the recall notice issued by nhtsa 05v157000. I contact gm about this problem and their position is the recall is not specific/covered by my vin number. I suggest all 2004 buick rendezvous be considered for this recall as this is a potentially serious problem.

2004 buick rendezvous has stalled twice while driving. (car is 10 months old) 1st incidence occured while turning into a parking space at a busy mall parking lot.car did start right back up.called local dealership to bring in.they said there was a bullentin regarding this issue and replaced the fuse box.the 2nd incidence after the fuse box was replaced happended 5/27/05.my husband was driving the vehicle and it stalled while he was driving in a parking lot. Car did start up again.called dealership and brought car in.they can not locate the problem.i asked what happens if this happens again and they advised to just keep bringing it in after it happens to examine car.please note this is my 3rd rendezvous and my first rendezvous (2001) this exact same thing happened except i was on the turnpike driving 55 mph when it stalled and didn't start right back up and had to be towed.(state troopers were involved with this incidence)the dealership could not locate the problem.needless to say since i was a gm employee they did a collateral trade since i refused to drive the vehicle due to the safety issue.

I have a 2004 buick rendezvous.bought in dec 04.the first stall was summer of 05.thank god each time it stalled, i was going 20 mph or less.i am truly concerned about the safety factor.we have taken it to the dealer each time - the did the recall on the ignition switch - stalls continue to happen.they are not able to recreate the problem.it will be going in to the dealer for the 3rd time very soon, as it stalled again over christmas.the starter has begun to sound funny - car holds crank too long, does not sound right.
Consumer experienced a problem with oil leaking into an electrical wiring sleeve near the oil plug whenever the vehicle got an oil change.oilleaking into the wiring sleeve may cause afire.dealer was notified.
Service engine soon light came on and the service technician found the mass air flow sensor was not properly connected after the fuel system was serviced.the technician subsequently found the fuel tank harness was corroded and needed to be replaced.the service manager advised that this connector was exposed to the weather elements and if the connector failed the engine would shut off while driving.this is a serious safety hazard in my opinion.the connector was replaced at a cost of $199.50.
Dt*:the contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the keys were left in the ignition.the contact's two and a half year old child turned the keys to the accessory position.once the key was turned, the child was able to take the vehicle out of the park position and place the gear shifter into reverse without depressing the brake pedal.the vehicle rolled out of the driveway, rolled 100 feet then crashed into a fence.the child escaped unharmed although there was damaged sustained to the vehicle and the fence.the police were not notified since the incident happened on private property.the insurance company was also not notified.

Instrument panel reading of the numbers is not clear for consumer to see, especially when he puts his glasses on.driver took vehicle to the dealer, and the mechanic did not have an answer at this time.the problem is that the gray on gray panel was in a six inch recess dash which shades pencil thin numbers and slashes between numbers e.g., 55/60.the most serious problem was the clarity of the speedometer readings going north, south, east, or west.(could not be read at a glance) *sc

No acceleration,when i go up a hill no acceleration, or when i go to get on the highway no acceleration, and very dangerous. I went to dealership for a diagnostic test and i replaced fuel tank pressure sensor and vent solenoid, no acceleration. I went to another dealership for diagnostic. They recommended that i replace 3 electrical harnesses and connectors $1350 dollars parts and labor too much for me and that may not solve my problem.i told them the problem was corrosion in the connectors to the fuel pump $160 dollars later they agreed with me. Still dangerous.
This is the third time that this very scary and life threatening event has occurred. The first time this occurred in 2009 in minnesota. I parked in a parking lot. The key was stuck in the ignition. This was replaced at a buick dealership in rochester, mn viking buick.the second time, in july 2013 on a major highway in chicago going at approximately 10 mph going in slow moving traffic. The same event occurred for the third time on july 19 ,2014.the car stopped running while driving in 2013 and 2014. The engine turned off. The steering wheel did not move. I attempted to restart the car several times. The key did not move nor could it be retrieved. The battery light then turned on. After several minutes, i was able to restart the car by turning the ignition key.i was not aware that there were recalls on buick rendezvous 2004. I learned about these from listening to the news. I have called buick in june 2014. I was told that based on my vin, the car does not qualify for a recall and they refused to help me with evaluating the car. I have told them that the ignition system has been replaced in 2009. Buick tells me that they do not see this on their system. I have the receipts, payments and information from the buick dealership that completed this as well as from the towing company that towed the car there.this event occurred again on july 19, 2014 while i was in a shopping mall parking. An additional event that i noticed this third time was that i could not even get out of the car as it remained unlocked.i have reviewed on your website that there have been several recalls related to these events and others for which i have not been notified by gm or buick. I have had the car go through diagnostics several times throughout the years, but what has happened is not identified at the check ups.
Dash gauges, warning lights, & alarms, bells flash on & off and vehicle suddenly runs rough. Dash codes of all sorts blink on& off. New battery and new altenator installed, problem still exists. This happened first when drivingon hiway.after vehicle pulled off road and engine turned off. The dash code then read battery issue. We tried to drive again but now vehicle operated roughly and there was no more daylight. We had vehicle towed 100 miles. Then paid for new battery problem did not change so we had a new altenator installed after having a diagnostic test advising the need for a new altenator. I am quite upset becaus ei feel that there is fraud on part of sears autorepair. Diagnostic said altenator was the problem. I paid over $450 for that service and another $150 for the battery.

While driving at aprx 60 mph the car just died stalled no power had to man handle car to a stop with out getting into an accident almost like driving a bait car the car just shut down this is not the first time had to get towed car still wont start put key in all bells and whistles light up and sounds then nothing as if alarm cut off .
I purchased this car on june 23 and the next day it wouldn't start took it back to the dealership and they replaced the battery and the alternator said it was fixed but several hours later the car wouldnt start again took it back the next day and they said it was the air conditioner running while the car was off draining the battery so they took the fuse out and said they would fix it the next day but when i called to take my car to them i got no answer from them. Three days later the car overheated and i got it completely checked by a different mechanic to see why my car is running hot and he gave me a list of problems every head gasket is blown out and the motor is gone. He said that there was a recall a few years back on these types of buick cars for the coolant and the wrong coolant was placed in the car and it messed up all head gaskets i immediately called the dealership but again no response i called the bank because i still have a 30 day tag and only had the car for two weeks but again no response i called buick and spoke with someone to ask about the coolant recall and he said he would call me back in a hour and again no response. I asked for a carfax report and the dealership said they didn't have one but gave the couple behind me a carfax for their car the brakes and rotors are completely gone i cannot stop with mybrakes i just have to coast so i want hit anyone this car will stall out on me without any warning. There has been no action taken from the bank or the dealership on how we can fix this problem they have all been ignoring and not responding to my calls texts or anything.
Vehicle lost coolant secondary to "blown" lower intake manifold gasket. Gasket replaced, by certified gm dealer service center, engine continues to exhibit overheating. Multiple attempts to 'purge' cooling system to no avail.vehicle in day 8 of "hospital stay" at this time.
The abs wheel speed sensor wire harness has a failure issue. This leads to the abs system activating without a warning light turning on and can increase the stopping distance when not necessary. The transmission may seem to clunk when accelerating from a stop as the computer doesn't read the correct speed sent from the hub assembly to the computer.previously, i had a hub assembly replaced and the problems still existed. After replacing the wires the problems have not resurfaced.

Shortly after i bought my used buick rendezvous, it started stalling. It was a monthly occurrence until recently when it is happening weekly.although this car was within the vin breakpoints of a safety recall in 2005, buick told me that my particular vin in its entirety wasn't affected and even if it was that they wouldn't cover repairs because it was too old.
Two head gaskets blew on my car and i want to know if this has been a problem with buick rendezvous 2004 model or others. This car has only 67,000 miles. I see a list of recalls on this model and want to know if one of those could cause head gasket problems.

My 2004 buick rendezvous has been in the shop 8 times in 10 1/2 months.currently i am experiencing a loud noise (much like an air raid horn) while i am stopped in traffic and when i turn my vehicle off.it started back in april, the dealership could not recreate the noise, in the shop again 11/4/05 and again 11/11/05.i just do not feel safe in the car. Iit is getting progressively worse, louder and more frequent, lasting longer.i purchased my vehicle 17 dec 04 and the very next day had a break problem.my service record is as follows:1)12/20/04- abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 2)01/27/05 - abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 3)4/25/05 - abs light on all wheel drive disabled would not drive over 40 mph - 3)4/25/05 - passenger side mirror clicking when vehicle is put into reverse 3)4/25/05 vehicle makes a loud air horn noise when vehicle is turned off 4)5-19/05 - abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 4)5/19/05 - vehicle looses power when making left turns or on incline 4)5/16/05 installed rear lift gate latch 5)7/15/05 driver side mirror glass came loose 6)9/01/05 - drivers side power window inoperative-7)11/4/05 - very loud acceleration - exhaust manifold leakingright exhaust manifold7)11/4/05loud noise while driving vehicle, stopping in traffic and when vehicle is turned off 8) 11/11/05wobble in left front tire- reface front rotors out of round8)11/11/05 took vehicle in for the loud air horn noise while driving, stopping in traffic and turning vehicle off - had a 5 minute discussion with service person about this and it did not even make it on the invoice.

Thermostat andfuel gauge was not accurate.there had previously been a problem with the ignition switch and it was repaired due to a recall.the problem with the starter started in march of 2005.these problems have not been repaired as of yet.when the consumer took the vehicle it to the dealership they told her it was designed that way.

He reset the the cylinder and 10000 miles later it is doing it again.also at 42000 i have had to replace both front and rear breaks along with the power steering pump and the master cylinder.i think these are excessive breakdowns for a vehicle this age and milage.so far repairs to the vehicle in the last month have exceeded $1000.00.luckly i wasn't in and accident when the steering and breaks failed.there was no warnign chirp or dash indicator showing the steering and breaks were failing.

A couple of seconds lateri started the truck up and begin driving.i dropped the truck off to the dealer and told them what had occurred.they replaced a apart and sent me on my way.since then the vidhilce hase stalled out over 10 times.and someday it stalls out twice a day.i have brought it back to the dealer and they keep changeing and replacing parts but its not fixing the stalling out.i am scared that me and my daughter will killed from it stalling out.they just changed something witht the transmisson and now it back in the shop with the same problem.

Gas mileage- sticker listing is 18/28 for 2004 buick rendezvous. Has 7800 miles. Vehicle has never exceeded 18 mph even at highway driving. Dealer has checked several times, has done a road test and came up with 17.4 mixed highway driving. They state that is what to expect.
Service engin light cam eon and stayed on.service department advised three separate emission system problems.june 2, 2004 evap alarm on fuel cap, june 12, 2004 large leak detected found leaking solonoid, june 22, 2004 large leak detected had vehicle for 2 days and returned stating everything was okay.
Service engine soon light came on and the service technician found the mass air flow sensor was not properly connected after the fuel system was serviced.the technician subsequently found the fuel tank harness was corroded and needed to be replaced.the service manager advised that this connector was exposed to the weather elements and if the connector failed the engine would shut off while driving.this is a serious safety hazard in my opinion.the connector was replaced at a cost of $199.50.
Speedometer, rpm gauge, fuel gage, and temperature gauge give false readings.speedometer is the most important and gets stuck on different mph randomly.currently it will not go above 20 mph.research online suggest that the instrument cluster has 6 motors and one or more have failed.i called gm before the bankruptcy and they noted this had happened on some of their other makes and they were aware of complaints concerning the buick rendezvous, but there were not enough complaints to warrant a recall.they only offered to maybe help with the computer check, but would not assist with the $400 to $500 gm service charge to fix the instrument panel motors.

I bought my rendezvous on 9/2/14 with 193,960 miles on it. On the way home from the dealership, the instrument cluster started acting up. All of the readings of gauges are accurate, however most of the lights on the cluster do not work. The turn signal lights, check engine light, etc. Don't work, however the lights on the speedometer, gas gauge, and as of recently the temperature gauge work. The rendezvous has experienced no other issues. I haven't contacted gm because i assumed i'd get shrugged off due to the age and mileage of the vehicle.

The vehicle will stop running and indicate that there is low fuel and/or no fuel, with a visual display (flashing light) and an audible display (dinging bell).the car will shutdown.pull to the side of the road and the vehicle will restart, but the visual and audible display will still be present.the vehicle actually has well over 1/2 a tank of gas at this point.the dealer has replaced the fuel control module, the fuel level sensor and the problem persists.additionally, the driver steering column does not lock into the upper limit location and wiggles free very easily.the vehicle is difficult to get out of park on occasions and when shifting from park and/or back into park, the doors very frequently don't lock and unlock as they should.finally, the electronic compass no longer functions as it should, i've reset it three times and it continues to only go in southerly directions (sw, s, se) and the fuel monitoring system (gallons used, miles left to empty, etc.) no longer function as they should either.
Vehicle's manual states 18/25 mpg, vehicle average 13.0 mpg. Service department at rydell (dealership) stated 18 mpg after 40 miles test drive, service department at vermont chevy/buick (dealership) stated 27 mpg after 25 (freeway) miles test drive. Both service departments are wrong: vehicle averages 13.0 mpg under normal driving conditions & normal driving habits on city streets and freeway. Dealer could not duplicate problem, i was advised that vehicle checked ok after scan. Problem persists. Service advisor/service manager advised that this high mpg is normal for this type of vehicle: 3.6 l engine. Door locks sometimes work, sometimes don't. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Scan and check system after recall. Problem persisting. Passenger side mirror moves inside mirrors housing at highway speeds (65 m/h) and have to be re-set upon reaching destination. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Problem persisting. Audio system could not read all cds. Dealer replaced radio/cd player twice. Problem persisting.driver's seat moves back and forth. Dealer replaced seat adjuster due to excessive loosening. Replaced seat track assy. Vehicle went to rydell's service department three (3) times due to excessive alignment/steering issues: vehicle currently still pulling to right side of road, steering wheel off center. Dealer did not resolve issues after three attempts, alignment now out of warranty (7.5 k miles only), problem persisting.
Engine would not idle below 3000 rpm, and once almost 4500 rpm causing excessive brake pedal pressure, had to actually put auto in neutral at stoplights.this condition would occur at random times, sometimes it would seem to occur 5 or 6 times in a row, and then sometimes it would act normal when engine was started again. Unlike the idiots in the toyota's i did put it in neutral, however there are apparently a lot of drivers that this would have been a severe problem for.this condition startedmay 24, ( i remember because it occurred while driving to my birthday dinner) 2010 only occurring once in a while, until engine was stopped and restarted, then by sept it was every week. I had it checked at the dealer on 10/5/10 andthey ordered a throttle position sensor and installed it on 10/11/10.this should definitely been a safety recall, and funny this kind of problem was never mentioned as a possibility during the big toyota scandal.the automobile is a 2004 buick rendezvous cxl with a 3400 cc engine. With 57,000 miles on it at this time.
I have been seriously frustrated with my vehicle.i have taken to mechanics where i paid to have it placed on the diagnostic machine and i have had every fuse checked numerous times.not once but many times over the past year.my 2004 buick rendezvous' gas gauge and speedometer work when they want to.most of the time not at all.the speedometer will read over 100 mph.the gas gauge doesnot work.i took it to another mechanic today to be told it must be in the board.i have been told it has something to do with a ground wire.i don't know but for the money i spent on this car it should work.i am worried about safety.i have had problems with it stalling also.one window will not roll up and down by the button on the door (only by the driver's button).one door won't open from the inside.and the back windshield wiper does not touch the window.this also has been looked at since 2 weeks after i purchased the vehicle.i just found out about gm' recalls etc today and am hoping something will finally get done cause i love my suv.
My engine light came on and i took my truck to have an oil change where they discovered that gas was leaking my truck and they told me i need to have my gas filler hose replaced before it starts a fire and endanger me and my family.i was researching this on the internet and came across recalls for the same problem that i am having now.i want know how can i see if my truck is on that recall list.i am not the original owner of the truck but i only had it a year and a half. My vehicle has been picking up speed for no reason. The vehicle was not taken to nor taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. Also, the fuel pump is not working. I can fill it up with gas and the light will still turn on. Maybe after driving for a couple miles or making a turn the light will turn off.

Gas tank neck on the gas tank snapped off when hit by road debris.after discovering gas spilling while refilling , i noticed the neck on the gas tank where the filler hose connects to the gas tank (at the lowest point where the filler hose ends and connects onto the gas tank) had snapped off.it is my opinion the vehicle design leaves the low hanging hose (like a radiator hose) that connects to the neck of gas tank way over exposed without any sheilding for road hazards...ie debris...lucky for me it broke of when my tank was low. Replacent of new tank was $610 total cost with tax and labor was $778 total.

I was driving my vehicleon the freeway going 70 miles per hour and all the sudden my vehicle hadpretty much came to a complete stop and if i hadn't had my seatbelt on, i probably would have went through the windshield.

No acceleration,when i go up a hill no acceleration, or when i go to get on the highway no acceleration, and very dangerous. I went to dealership for a diagnostic test and i replaced fuel tank pressure sensor and vent solenoid, no acceleration. I went to another dealership for diagnostic. They recommended that i replace 3 electrical harnesses and connectors $1350 dollars parts and labor too much for me and that may not solve my problem.i told them the problem was corrosion in the connectors to the fuel pump $160 dollars later they agreed with me. Still dangerous.
*vt*- on two different occasions my 2004 buick rendezvous has caused the inside of the car to fill up with strong gasoline smell.when checking the ground i discovered it was leaking gasoline.i was told that there was no more recall on my vin# - however, i'm discovering that other 2004 buick rendezvouses are reporting the same of similar problem under campaign #07v349000.i was never notified of a recall for this issue, which could be a very serious safety issue, as i haul around by very young grandchildren.what? does someone have to die before this issue is addressed properly?
Fuel tank leaking shortly after recall expired

My grandson and i were shopping, then i filled my gas tank. We then went into the grocery store came out, smelled gas and looked under car. It is leaking gas, we hurried home--went from full tank to 1/4 full tank in 58 miles. It is sitting and not driven.and i have a 2003 rendezvous that has a gas smell that is very strong but hasn't leaded out gas yet.
Recently the cabin is filling with the smell of gas fumes while at idle and filling at gas station.there is no service engine light coming on, indicating some sort of leak in the fuel entrance to the tank.there is a recall #06230 that directly relates to this, however i am told that my vehicle was made a little later and gm had determined the later produced vehicles did not have the problem that required the fuel tank to be replaced.i think this needs to be investigated further.

When letting the car warm up inthe morning, the car is overcome with a strong fuel smell, so much so that we had to roll down the windows when we entered the vehicle and while driving to air it out. This has continued fairly regularly, and is still as strong as before when it happens. I am even afraid of any spark because the smell is so strong.

When pulling into or out of parking spot you get a humming sound at slow speed seems to be in the rear of car i think does not sound like power steering whine ck the fluid in power steering it is fine no leaks.
I was driving the vehicle to an appointment and all of a sudden it thumbed when i moved from the light taking off not like it was shifting but as something was knocked in, then the lower light i turn on in the truck stopped working, the interior dash lights as well stopped on the 11 of march about 6 pm i was heading back in from out of town had to position my cell phone so i could see what speed i was going, the turning to the right knocks like something is about to fall off, and the to top it off the wiper from the back window leaks in the inside when i try to clean with fluid, the seat belt as well is not locking i and my on star it reads and talks as i tried to set up an account the system failed and my engine stalls as well the temperature gauge runs hot if i go in town and stop at the lights i checked the fluid and it is in their i called gm and they quote and quote say their was never a recall on my vehicle but i see online that their was why is it that they can't seem to locate any information i hate that i am always getting duped in with these vehicles and then i get more depressed and shut down and feel like all my funds mean nothing to any one.
I had a transmission repair at an ammco transmission outlet. As a result of the repair my instrument cluster was not working the first day the car was declared repaired. I left the car with the repairer who told me a second transmission would be installed. I was told approximately ten days later my car was repaired. When the car was picked up a second the time the problem was not resolved. I was told it needed to time for the computer to reset itself. That never happened since i found out later that the computer was in default mode and was not communicating with the transmission. Aamco pretended to tell me my car was safe to drive throughout this ordeal. The same night i received the car back my exterior lights went when my car glitched again. I almost hit the side of the mountain because there was total darkness. My complaint is that there is no oversight of secondary repair shops. I have tried hard. No one should go through what i have been through. This mechanics used many excuses but in the end it was a pinched (best word i can utilized) wire that caused the problem. After being turned down by four local mechanics the problem was fixed by the dealer. No one was wants to step forward to explain my problem. However i have documents to show that my electrical system was working fine prior to this repair. The attorney generals office in pa has limited authority on this issue and cannot help me. These people need oversight someone will be killed or already has.
The speedometer stops working correctly.while traveling at highway speeds the speedometer will read anywhere between below 0 mph and 30 mph.it happens regardless of the weather.there have been multiple occurrences that the speedometer is working correctly, (confirmed by calculations using time, mile markers & odometer readings,) and at any point during travel it will stop and the needle is observed to gradually drop below the 0 mph mark.sometimes restarting, whether by turning off the ignition or using the autostart to remove the key while leaving the vehicle running, will temporarily correct the problem.the problem was noted by an independent mechanic at the end of september while addressing potential transmission issues.(which also has not been resolved.the mechanic was unable to find a cause to "hard shift" problem that began several months ago.)the currently mileage on the vehicle is approximately 81,200 miles.it is being taken to a mechanic this week to address the issue.

A couple of seconds lateri started the truck up and begin driving.i dropped the truck off to the dealer and told them what had occurred.they replaced a apart and sent me on my way.since then the vidhilce hase stalled out over 10 times.and someday it stalls out twice a day.i have brought it back to the dealer and they keep changeing and replacing parts but its not fixing the stalling out.i am scared that me and my daughter will killed from it stalling out.they just changed something witht the transmisson and now it back in the shop with the same problem.
I have had two different buick rendezvous. One was a 2004 and one was a 2003 rendezvous. I have put three different transmissions in the 2003. Ijust, today, took my 2004 rendezvous in for a transmission problem. I am tired of taking my car to the dealership. I live 50 miles from the dealership. I am a full time employee and i am also a full time student. I do not have all this time to keep taking my car back. I would appreciate if the buick industry to look into this to find out why these cars have so many transmission problems.

Vehicle's manual states 18/25 mpg, vehicle average 13.0 mpg. Service department at rydell (dealership) stated 18 mpg after 40 miles test drive, service department at vermont chevy/buick (dealership) stated 27 mpg after 25 (freeway) miles test drive. Both service departments are wrong: vehicle averages 13.0 mpg under normal driving conditions & normal driving habits on city streets and freeway. Dealer could not duplicate problem, i was advised that vehicle checked ok after scan. Problem persists. Service advisor/service manager advised that this high mpg is normal for this type of vehicle: 3.6 l engine. Door locks sometimes work, sometimes don't. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Scan and check system after recall. Problem persisting. Passenger side mirror moves inside mirrors housing at highway speeds (65 m/h) and have to be re-set upon reaching destination. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Problem persisting. Audio system could not read all cds. Dealer replaced radio/cd player twice. Problem persisting.driver's seat moves back and forth. Dealer replaced seat adjuster due to excessive loosening. Replaced seat track assy. Vehicle went to rydell's service department three (3) times due to excessive alignment/steering issues: vehicle currently still pulling to right side of road, steering wheel off center. Dealer did not resolve issues after three attempts, alignment now out of warranty (7.5 k miles only), problem persisting.

The abs wheel speed sensor wire harness has a failure issue. This leads to the abs system activating without a warning light turning on and can increase the stopping distance when not necessary. The transmission may seem to clunk when accelerating from a stop as the computer doesn't read the correct speed sent from the hub assembly to the computer.previously, i had a hub assembly replaced and the problems still existed. After replacing the wires the problems have not resurfaced.
When i applied brakes my traction light came on and i didn't have any power to my brakes.i double pumped and they worked again, almost ran into a subway!!!this is very scary and i brought vehicle in and they could diagnosis a problem because it was intermittent.i have googled this and this is a severe problem when your brakes don't work and how do you fix them when the shop can't figure it out!!!it says it is a sensory issue, and feels like the abs are working when you are on ice, but this is happening on dry pavement.
Multiple times the vehicle has stalled randomly while being driven.this has happened so many times i've lost count (at least 20).this happens at various speeds (from 0 mph to 70 mph).the entire electrical system shuts down when the vehicle stalls causing the steering and brakes to be less effective.this could easily result in an accident.the vehicle has been taken to 2 different buick dealers for diagnostic and repair.the dealerships have not been able to fix the problem.the ignition switch and the ignition relay have both been replaced and all the electrical contacts have been cleaned and checked.these repairs have not fixed the vehicle.i've called buick customer service and they refuse to do anything further without additional charge to the owner.the owner will not be making further repairs.
I purchased this car on june 23 and the next day it wouldn't start took it back to the dealership and they replaced the battery and the alternator said it was fixed but several hours later the car wouldnt start again took it back the next day and they said it was the air conditioner running while the car was off draining the battery so they took the fuse out and said they would fix it the next day but when i called to take my car to them i got no answer from them. Three days later the car overheated and i got it completely checked by a different mechanic to see why my car is running hot and he gave me a list of problems every head gasket is blown out and the motor is gone. He said that there was a recall a few years back on these types of buick cars for the coolant and the wrong coolant was placed in the car and it messed up all head gaskets i immediately called the dealership but again no response i called the bank because i still have a 30 day tag and only had the car for two weeks but again no response i called buick and spoke with someone to ask about the coolant recall and he said he would call me back in a hour and again no response. I asked for a carfax report and the dealership said they didn't have one but gave the couple behind me a carfax for their car the brakes and rotors are completely gone i cannot stop with mybrakes i just have to coast so i want hit anyone this car will stall out on me without any warning. There has been no action taken from the bank or the dealership on how we can fix this problem they have all been ignoring and not responding to my calls texts or anything.
I purchased a used car from jim doran auto center3075 n hwy 99w po box 598 mc minngville, or 97128 503-472-3131 this vehicle was advertised as a "cream puff" meaning the vehicle was in excellent condition and after i received it in california it cost me over $3,000 in repairs.please remember that even know the suv sold to me by this dealership was sold (as-is) but advertised and a car in excellent condition. I have paid over $3,000 in repairs to this car just to bring it up to pass a dmv vehicle inspection for california.some kind of resolution to satisfy me momentarily for the repairs for the false advertising that this dealership posted online for the sale of the vehicle. Trac light would come on and off a few times. Eventually the trac off, and abs light stay on. It occurs at random moments while stationary and in motion. Disabling the traction control. This is hazardous when it is on and in motion with not favorable weather ie rain or snow. I have had this happen to me, driving in the rain with the abs disabled, i had to apply my brakes hard to avoid rear ending the car in front of me who had hit their brakes to avoid an accident as well. I have replaced hub assembly, rotors brakes, brake calipers, brake hoses the whole nine yards. Was told by one mechanic that when the traction system lights are on and abs is disengaged this causes higher wear and tear on the rotors and brake pads. Was also told that the abs wiring harness is too short, so it gets pulled when making turns. This issue will also happen if i go over bumps, like railroad tracks, the small street ditch for rain at the end of a driveway. Sometimes i just start the car up and it will immediately come on.i also had the side sear front passenger airbag deploy when a friend closed the seatbelt in the door. The car was in drive, however it was not in motion. The buckle got stuck on the frame at the lock latch. The door flew back open, air bag deployed, and all interior lights on the car as well as the dash lit up.
This is the third time that this very scary and life threatening event has occurred. The first time this occurred in 2009 in minnesota. I parked in a parking lot. The key was stuck in the ignition. This was replaced at a buick dealership in rochester, mn viking buick.the second time, in july 2013 on a major highway in chicago going at approximately 10 mph going in slow moving traffic. The same event occurred for the third time on july 19 ,2014.the car stopped running while driving in 2013 and 2014. The engine turned off. The steering wheel did not move. I attempted to restart the car several times. The key did not move nor could it be retrieved. The battery light then turned on. After several minutes, i was able to restart the car by turning the ignition key.i was not aware that there were recalls on buick rendezvous 2004. I learned about these from listening to the news. I have called buick in june 2014. I was told that based on my vin, the car does not qualify for a recall and they refused to help me with evaluating the car. I have told them that the ignition system has been replaced in 2009. Buick tells me that they do not see this on their system. I have the receipts, payments and information from the buick dealership that completed this as well as from the towing company that towed the car there.this event occurred again on july 19, 2014 while i was in a shopping mall parking. An additional event that i noticed this third time was that i could not even get out of the car as it remained unlocked.i have reviewed on your website that there have been several recalls related to these events and others for which i have not been notified by gm or buick. I have had the car go through diagnostics several times throughout the years, but what has happened is not identified at the check ups.

Diy brake change and noticed both front brake lines had bulging areas in the rubber hoses running to the caliper. Pushed on one of the bulges and fluid started seeping under pressure. Possibly rupture could happen and have a loss of primary braking.
Abs light and awd disable, brakes locking up
I have a 2004 buick rendezvous that i bought in 2004 with 9000 miles on it.at 32000 miles the check engine light came on and the dealer said the number three cylinder was misfiring. He reset the the cylinder and 10000 miles later it is doing it again.also at 42000 i have had to replace both front and rear breaks along with the power steering pump and the master cylinder.i think these are excessive breakdowns for a vehicle this age and milage.so far repairs to the vehicle in the last month have exceeded $1000.00.luckly i wasn't in and accident when the steering and breaks failed.there was no warnign chirp or dash indicator showing the steering and breaks were failing.

Engine would not idle below 3000 rpm, and once almost 4500 rpm causing excessive brake pedal pressure, had to actually put auto in neutral at stoplights.this condition would occur at random times, sometimes it would seem to occur 5 or 6 times in a row, and then sometimes it would act normal when engine was started again. Unlike the idiots in the toyota's i did put it in neutral, however there are apparently a lot of drivers that this would have been a severe problem for.this condition startedmay 24, ( i remember because it occurred while driving to my birthday dinner) 2010 only occurring once in a while, until engine was stopped and restarted, then by sept it was every week. I had it checked at the dealer on 10/5/10 andthey ordered a throttle position sensor and installed it on 10/11/10.this should definitely been a safety recall, and funny this kind of problem was never mentioned as a possibility during the big toyota scandal.the automobile is a 2004 buick rendezvous cxl with a 3400 cc engine. We have a 2004 buick rendezvous that does not keep accurate speedometer readings and it jumps lanes or severely pulls to the left. We have been trying to get this repaired but it does not do these things when the dealer drives it. This has gone on over 3 months.the speedometer reads excessive speeds over 100 mph or it reads 20 mph sitting in the drive. We have pictures of the speedometer reading 100+ miles per hour but they wont take those. The dealer can not get the nac warranty department to cover or replace the cluster because they cant duplicate the problem. I recently read where there is a class action lawsuit against gm due to the samespeedometer issues.
(1) i purchased this vehicle on july 30,2004. The problem showed up on my way home from the selling dealer, team chev, buick, cadillac inc. When i made a sharp left turn from one road to another. After i made the turn the steering wheel did not return to center position,and i came to a stop because i was surprised by the strong left pull.(2) this is as plain as i can describe the problem. When you make a left turn the steering wheel does not return to center even if you straighten the wheel it will tilt left, if you continue driving the vehicle wants to pull to the left. Depending on how sharp a turn you make,ie a very sharp left turn, the vehicle pulls severely to the left. Sometimes if you drive several miles it will eventually return to center. I experience the same steering problem after a right turn, the vehicle pulls right, but the right pull does not seem as severe as the left problem. I believe this problem could lead to an accident, and who knows what could be the result.(3)nothing the dealer has done, replaced tie rod ends,checked for binding on steering, supposedly aligned front wheels, rotated tires, had any effect on problem.dealer states they drove a 2002, 2003, 2004 rendezvous and they all have exhibited the same characteristics the vehicle is operating as designed. This being the case i think this needs a very careful investigation as there are a lot of vehicles on the road that are a potential hazard for head on collisions with the steering pulling to the left as it does.
Multiple times the vehicle has stalled randomly while being driven.this has happened so many times i've lost count (at least 20).this happens at various speeds (from 0 mph to 70 mph).the entire electrical system shuts down when the vehicle stalls causing the steering and brakes to be less effective.this could easily result in an accident.the vehicle has been taken to 2 different buick dealers for diagnostic and repair.the dealerships have not been able to fix the problem.the ignition switch and the ignition relay have both been replaced and all the electrical contacts have been cleaned and checked.these repairs have not fixed the vehicle.i've called buick customer service and they refuse to do anything further without additional charge to the owner.the owner will not be making further repairs.
This is the third time that this very scary and life threatening event has occurred. The first time this occurred in 2009 in minnesota. I parked in a parking lot. The key was stuck in the ignition. This was replaced at a buick dealership in rochester, mn viking buick.the second time, in july 2013 on a major highway in chicago going at approximately 10 mph going in slow moving traffic. The same event occurred for the third time on july 19 ,2014.the car stopped running while driving in 2013 and 2014. The engine turned off. The steering wheel did not move. I attempted to restart the car several times. The key did not move nor could it be retrieved. The battery light then turned on. After several minutes, i was able to restart the car by turning the ignition key.i was not aware that there were recalls on buick rendezvous 2004. I learned about these from listening to the news. I have called buick in june 2014. I was told that based on my vin, the car does not qualify for a recall and they refused to help me with evaluating the car. I have told them that the ignition system has been replaced in 2009. Buick tells me that they do not see this on their system. I have the receipts, payments and information from the buick dealership that completed this as well as from the towing company that towed the car there.this event occurred again on july 19, 2014 while i was in a shopping mall parking. An additional event that i noticed this third time was that i could not even get out of the car as it remained unlocked.i have reviewed on your website that there have been several recalls related to these events and others for which i have not been notified by gm or buick. I have had the car go through diagnostics several times throughout the years, but what has happened is not identified at the check ups.
When pulling into or out of parking spot you get a humming sound at slow speed seems to be in the rear of car i think does not sound like power steering whine ck the fluid in power steering it is fine no leaks.

Vehicle's manual states 18/25 mpg, vehicle average 13.0 mpg. Service department at rydell (dealership) stated 18 mpg after 40 miles test drive, service department at vermont chevy/buick (dealership) stated 27 mpg after 25 (freeway) miles test drive. Both service departments are wrong: vehicle averages 13.0 mpg under normal driving conditions & normal driving habits on city streets and freeway. Dealer could not duplicate problem, i was advised that vehicle checked ok after scan. Problem persists. Service advisor/service manager advised that this high mpg is normal for this type of vehicle: 3.6 l engine. Door locks sometimes work, sometimes don't. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Scan and check system after recall. Problem persisting. Passenger side mirror moves inside mirrors housing at highway speeds (65 m/h) and have to be re-set upon reaching destination. Dealer could not duplicate problem. Problem persisting. Audio system could not read all cds. Dealer replaced radio/cd player twice. Problem persisting.driver's seat moves back and forth. Dealer replaced seat adjuster due to excessive loosening. Replaced seat track assy. Vehicle went to rydell's service department three (3) times due to excessive alignment/steering issues: vehicle currently still pulling to right side of road, steering wheel off center. Dealer did not resolve issues after three attempts, alignment now out of warranty (7.5 k miles only), problem persisting.

I have a 2004 buick rendezvous that i bought in 2004 with 9000 miles on it.at 32000 miles the check engine light came on and the dealer said the number three cylinder was misfiring. He reset the the cylinder and 10000 miles later it is doing it again.also at 42000 i have had to replace both front and rear breaks along with the power steering pump and the master cylinder.i think these are excessive breakdowns for a vehicle this age and milage.so far repairs to the vehicle in the last month have exceeded $1000.00.luckly i wasn't in and accident when the steering and breaks failed.there was no warnign chirp or dash indicator showing the steering and breaks were failing.

I purchased a 2004 buick rendezvous from a car dealership, 2 car guys llc, in york, pa on 7/10.at the time i was very pleased with the purchase with the low sticker price of 4k,low mileage of 68k, and the 5/18 inspection.the car, after checking the engine and frame,itself seemed to be in decent condition and i brought it home that day.i was very pleased with the car for two weeks and even made a long trip to altoona, pa with my family.then earlier this week i noticed some issues with the front driver's side brake.i took it in to mr. Tire on 7/26 for a brake examination. The technicians at mr. Tire could not find anything wrong with the brakes and even mentioned that they were new.i wanted them to test drive it double check and then after they returned they thought maybe a caliber was locking up on it.so they lifted the car again and realized that the frame itself was expanding.so they stuck it on a larger lift to ensure that that frame would be shredded.the lead technician brought me out to look at the frame itself. Both sides of the frame had been filled with foam insulation and then spray painted with black paint to match the frame.someone had went to a lot of effort mask the eroded frame.the guys from mr. Tire mentioned that no way that could pass a state inspection looking like that.i looked underneath the car at the time of purchase and was unable to see the camouflaged rust.three technicians were under that car the first time the buick was lifted off the ground and did not notice the "slide of hand".i would have never even test driven the car with my son knowing that it was unsafe for the road.

I have paid over $3,000 in repairs to this car just to bring it up to pass a dmv vehicle inspection for california.some kind of resolution to satisfy me momentarily for the repairs for the false advertising that this dealership posted online for the sale of the vehicle. Both front wheel bearings failed on my wife's 2004 buick rendezvous.a special 'extended warranty' was issued for the 2002 (nhtsa item #10020658). Due to the relatively low mileage of the vehicle, the failure of both wheel bearings occurred long before it should have and i requested that her vehicle be included in the warranty as it fit the same criteria.the repair was costly and its unfair to have to pay for known defects and not get reimbursed.gm refuses to reimburse me.

When traveling at highway speeds, the low tire warning comes on.stopping and checking finds no low tires.it has now happened so many times that we no longer stop to check.if we really do have a dangerously low tire, we could have a tire failure leading to an accident.dealer can't find any problem and is doing nothing to fix the problem.buick customer service was of no assistance.

I purchased this car on june 23 and the next day it wouldn't start took it back to the dealership and they replaced the battery and the alternator said it was fixed but several hours later the car wouldnt start again took it back the next day and they said it was the air conditioner running while the car was off draining the battery so they took the fuse out and said they would fix it the next day but when i called to take my car to them i got no answer from them. Three days later the car overheated and i got it completely checked by a different mechanic to see why my car is running hot and he gave me a list of problems every head gasket is blown out and the motor is gone. He said that there was a recall a few years back on these types of buick cars for the coolant and the wrong coolant was placed in the car and it messed up all head gaskets i immediately called the dealership but again no response i called the bank because i still have a 30 day tag and only had the car for two weeks but again no response i called buick and spoke with someone to ask about the coolant recall and he said he would call me back in a hour and again no response. I asked for a carfax report and the dealership said they didn't have one but gave the couple behind me a carfax for their car the brakes and rotors are completely gone i cannot stop with mybrakes i just have to coast so i want hit anyone this car will stall out on me without any warning. There has been no action taken from the bank or the dealership on how we can fix this problem they have all been ignoring and not responding to my calls texts or anything.

Rear differential /torque tube defect.vehicle taken to gm dealership to check whining, roaring and clunking noise.garage indicated no problem with vehicle.noises continued and got worse.vehicle taken back to garage several times to no avail.finally vehicle was taken to another garage to determine problem.problem found and both gm dealership garage and the certified garage that fixed the problem indicated a defect in the rear differential with potential of locking up wheels while driving, causing the wheels to skid with the potential of causing an accident.
I have a 2004 buick rendezvous and after running it, it does not always restart. It has also stalled at intersections when idling. No one can pin point a specific problem but after it sits awhile it restarts. Sometimes i have to sit for an hour to get my car started. A gm mechanic said there was a recall on a fuse, but there was not change made to the fuses so the issue was not corrected. Others have said it was the fuel pump, but then others say if it is the fuel pump it would have gone completely bad by now. This has been going on since 2008 when i bought the car used froma dealer.
I had about $1700 worth of work done to the underneath of my vehicle... The lights such as service engine soon and abs keep coming on... I had to put my brakes on and the anti lock brakes came on and i tried to press on the gas to go and it cut the power drastically on me little to none but if i lift my foot back up and i try to start agian it allows me to drive but then if i need to go up a hill or pass someone it loses the power when i put the gas pedal more than a 3rd of the way down. And it will not stop doing this.. I am extremely concerned as no mechanic seems to know how to fix this and i live on a fixed income and need my car to get around.
I parked my car in a lot.2 hours later,i went to start it and it wouldn't even turn over . Someone gave me a jump start and it started immediately.a few hours later,same thing.nix morning however,it started fine.battery was tested and works normal.replaced starter and cylanoid.same problem and nothing changed.i decided to check the fuses.all of them ok.i found that if i remove one of the fuses and use a paper clip in 2 of the 4 openings,it starts the car in the on position. Security light comes on too.
The fuel line runmig from the engine to the fuel filter got a slow leak in it, filled the inside of the suv with fumes and we had to pull over to air out the car then the fuel line split and fell off and gas spilled out and overcome the inside of the car with fumes. When repaired immediately, the mechanic determined the line accumulated excessive moisture and heat and caused it to break when it got hot several times.

My vehicle has been picking up speed for no reason. The vehicle was not taken to nor taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. Also, the fuel pump is not working. I can fill it up with gas and the light will still turn on. Maybe after driving for a couple miles or making a turn the light will turn off.

One day i woke up got in my car started driving and it wouldn't go past 55mph i took it to east detroit auto on gratiot in detroit mi and they kept my car for over 30 days saying they don't know what's wrong with it. They changed the fuel pump and gave me my car back not working. I just recently brought this car and its a huge hassle.

My 2004 buick rendezvous has been in the shop 8 times in 10 1/2 months.currently i am experiencing a loud noise (much like an air raid horn) while i am stopped in traffic and when i turn my vehicle off.it started back in april, the dealership could not recreate the noise, in the shop again 11/4/05 and again 11/11/05.i just do not feel safe in the car. I have been seriously frustrated with my vehicle.i have taken to mechanics where i paid to have it placed on the diagnostic machine and i have had every fuse checked numerous times.not once but many times over the past year.my 2004 buick rendezvous' gas gauge and speedometer work when they want to.most of the time not at all.the speedometer will read over 100 mph.the gas gauge doesnot work.i took it to another mechanic today to be told it must be in the board.i have been told it has something to do with a ground wire.i don't know but for the money i spent on this car it should work.i am worried about safety.i have had problems with it stalling also.one window will not roll up and down by the button on the door (only by the driver's button).one door won't open from the inside.and the back windshield wiper does not touch the window.this also has been looked at since 2 weeks after i purchased the vehicle.i just found out about gm' recalls etc today and am hoping something will finally get done cause i love my suv.
The consumer's stated mirrors were so large that they created a hazardousblind spot. The side of the mirror was struck and broken because the consumer did not see the object. *sc
My 2004 buick rendezvous has been in the shop 8 times in 10 1/2 months.currently i am experiencing a loud noise (much like an air raid horn) while i am stopped in traffic and when i turn my vehicle off.it started back in april, the dealership could not recreate the noise, in the shop again 11/4/05 and again 11/11/05.i just do not feel safe in the car. Iit is getting progressively worse, louder and more frequent, lasting longer.i purchased my vehicle 17 dec 04 and the very next day had a break problem.my service record is as follows:1)12/20/04- abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 2)01/27/05 - abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 3)4/25/05 - abs light on all wheel drive disabled would not drive over 40 mph - 3)4/25/05 - passenger side mirror clicking when vehicle is put into reverse 3)4/25/05 vehicle makes a loud air horn noise when vehicle is turned off 4)5-19/05 - abs light on - all wheel drive disabled 4)5/19/05 - vehicle looses power when making left turns or on incline 4)5/16/05 installed rear lift gate latch 5)7/15/05 driver side mirror glass came loose 6)9/01/05 - drivers side power window inoperative-7)11/4/05 - very loud acceleration - exhaust manifold leakingright exhaust manifold7)11/4/05loud noise while driving vehicle, stopping in traffic and when vehicle is turned off 8) 11/11/05wobble in left front tire- reface front rotors out of round8)11/11/05 took vehicle in for the loud air horn noise while driving, stopping in traffic and turning vehicle off - had a 5 minute discussion with service person about this and it did not even make it on the invoice.

The windshield wiper washer keeps freezing up due to poor design.this makes the removal of debris from windshield impossible.which reduces thedriver's visibility that could result in an accident. The vehicle has been serviced several times for this issue, in which alcohol has been added to thewindshield washer fluid to thaw the windshield wiper washer. This is only a temporarily fix.
While driving 50 mph in inclement weatherwindshield wipers failed.this caused poor visibility. Driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer for inspection.mechanic determined that thewindshield wipers needed to be replaced. Both wiper arms snapped and interlocked when put them into operation for the first time, these arms overlap's one another with a very close tolerance.wiper on passenger side deformed and twisted as it pulled away from the other after interlocking.rubber blade pulled out leaving the metal arm to sweep the windshield and scratch on the glass.
I purchased my buick rendezvous in 2007 from my mother who only had it 2 years.since i purchased this vehicle, i have had 8 wheelbearings replaced, and 2 hub assemblies, along with the wiring harness for the abs.the vehicle will sometimes 'rub' when turning the steering wheel, or sometimes the brakes will 'rub'.after this happens, the abs light comes on as well as the awd disabled light.i had purchased the extended warranty, and that covered the wheelbearing issues, and one of the hub assembly fixes.i think i have spent more on repairs for this vehicle in the past 6 years then i paid to buy it.not a year goes by that i don't have to have something replace in order for it to pass inspection.my vehicle now has 118000 miles on it.
The abs wheel speed sensor wire harness has a failure issue. This leads to the abs system activating without a warning light turning on and can increase the stopping distance when not necessary. The transmission may seem to clunk when accelerating from a stop as the computer doesn't read the correct speed sent from the hub assembly to the computer.previously, i had a hub assembly replaced and the problems still existed. After replacing the wires the problems have not resurfaced.
My front wheels were making a noise and my front end didn't feel right.
