The contact owns a 2000 buick regal. The contact stated that the key would remain stuck in the ignition switch. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.

My 2000 buick regal 3.2l v6 ls stalls while i am driving. The engine shuts off while all the other electric services (lights, radio and air conditioning, etc.) continue to operate. I was not even aware of the situation until i tried to accelerate. This has happened five times over the last month.the car will restart after about 15 minutes(which leads me to the conclusion of a computer malfunction although no error code occurs).i have found this has occurred to others on the same vehicle by searching the internet (www.carcomplaints.com). The dealership shows no error codes in the computer analysis, but the vehicle is truly undependable and a safety issue.

I was driving on a road at about 35 mph, i signaled to turned right and my vehicle went dead(the engine stopped-no steering or brakes.)fortunately,no one was driving behind me.i came to a halt and tried starting the engine multiple times, but all that happened was the dashboard lights would flash.finally, i tried moving the turn signal up and down and it started!since then this has happened multiple times.this should not happen on a low mileage car or any car!i have almost gotten into multiple accidents!

After driving about ten minutes into my trip last night at about 60 mph,my buick regal 2000 ended up losing the ability to accelerate.it then lost all power and left me stranded on the interstate. I lost the power steering, the instrument panel started flickering. This occurred in a work zone at about midnight.within five minutes the flashers and lights also went totally dead.even the trunk would not respond to my remote.the car lights and engine had been very strong and never gave any reason for concern.the key has been difficult to remove from the ignition cylinder for several years.this has been the only source of trouble with the car.the red security light on the instrument panel was illuminated - which is unusual - until the lights quit working.could this have been a problem with the security system?we have not altered the factory security system.it is original.very dangerous situation.

2000 buick regal ls, when start car up, then drive the car for about 10-15 minutes and all the lights start flickering, and the car shut down, and itries to start it back up, it cuts right back off i let it cool down for about an hour or 2 and it start right back up but the gear will not go out of park will not shift.

2000 buick regal lx. Odometer dimmed intermittently, but now is completely dark. Gas gauge "bounces" around making it impossible to determine how much fuel remains. Out of fuel condition in intersection posed a safety hazard three times.

Car engine dies when using left or right turn signal!upon attempting to restart engine... Battery power surges starter, dash indicator lamps, radio, a/c, in pulses almost keeping speed with the pulses of cars emergency flashers!wife was almost hit by on coming eighteen wheeler when she attempted to cross an intersection and make a left turn!car will not restart unless emergency flashers or headlamps are manually turned on!of course by the time this will be figured out by most.... They will have already been run over by their eighteen wheeler!

There are multiple problems with this vehicle.one of my main complaints is the steering wheel is becoming very warm to the touch.next, the key gets stuck in the switch and will not come out, causing the battery to run down.also, the signal lights have gone out and are not repairable and the electrical windows have gone out due to rusting and are not repairable.

Driving on the highway and all of a sudden, all the lights at the dashboard came on. Went to the nearest exit and park in a parking lot. Tried to restart the car again but would not. When clicking, all the lights at the dashboard comes and starts blinking and flashing. Checked and replaced a new battery but that was not the solution.can start but when you engage or try to turn the turning signal either side, the car turns off. I had to tow my car to the garage where they put it on the machine and found out about a. Fault ignition switch and the. Computer. Replaced all of the them but still. Some lights keep coming on.

While driving my 2000 buick regal i turned on the turn signal and the instrument panel lights flashed and the engine turned off.this resulted in lost of power steering and power brakes and i had to fight the car to the side of the road.this happened a total of three times.

I was driving my 2000 buick regal coming back from work, as i was driving and about ready to go into a steep turn, my stereo system first completely shut off, then everything else in my car failed as well, engine, power steering, etc. I was barely able to get it to the side of the road and when i tried to restart it, it barely turned over. Clearly there is an electrical problem in these vehicles and my car hasn't even reached 100,000 miles even.

2000 buick regal.consumer writes in regards to a defective ignition switch malfunction and requests reimbursement for replacement costs.the consumer stated his wife was driving, when the engine suddenly stopped. All of the instrument lights were flashing.his wife managed to make it home. His wife stopped driving the vehicle, so the consumer drove the vehicle, and a month later, the engine died at a stop sign. A few miles later, the engine stopped again, as he was turning off the highway. The steering and braking required considerable strength.as he drove four miles home, the vehicle stopped two more times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a diagnosis revealed a defective ignition switch. Also, the oil pan gasket was replaced, due to an oil leak. Updated 06/05/14. Updated 08/07/14

I had stopped at store on way home from work. When i came out of store i noticed smoke coming from under the hood of my car. I popped the hood and saw my engine on fire and proceeded to try and put the fire out. I took my jacket off and started hitting the engine and this burned up my jacket and scorched my hand. An employee from the store came out with a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. The fire department was called but fire was out before they got there. It burned up the entire top and sides of my engine. Their was a recall that would have stopped this but i did not receive it.

Dual climate control:passenger side air stuck at one temperature. Passenger side does not respond to any controls, stays at for example at 70 degrees. This has happened twice. Mechanic says it is an electrical servo, rather than a vacuum canister. It has cost me $167 to fix both times. It may also be helpful to know that the first failure happened around may of 2005 and temperature was on full heat and second failure happened this may of 2006 and the temperature was stuck at about 70 degrees. Furthermore, the temperature lights of the dual climate panel cycle as though it is functional.

The contact owns a 2000 buick regal. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle began to independently reduce speed without warning. The contact pulled over and shut off the vehicle, but it failed to restart. The contact stated that the front of the vehicle began to smoke and caught on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling). The failure mileage was unknown.

Dt: the dash board lights are not working at all. The lcd temperature screen is also out.

I was driving on the highway and turned my blinker on to pass a vehicle when the car shut the power off and on to the gas.while i did that the all the lights on my dash were blinking when i turned back in to the other lane i had turned my blinker back on. Started doing it again. I got to an exit to turn around to go home so i turned my blinker back on and the car shut down on my while i was turning a sharpe corner. So i had no power steering. I started it back up but when i got down the road i had to turn again so i turned my blinker on and it had did it again. I noticed i had to turn my hazards on to get home, and when i did that they lights didn't blink on the dash. I made it home and checked all the fuses but that wasn't the problem. I can't start my car now and the lights still blink on the dash even when the key is just on the on position.

My 2000 buick regal supercharged just caught on fire.has there been other buicks with this problem?

2000 buick regal w/automatic...after about 3 yrs intermittent problem "key capture"...park, turn off ignition and sometimes cannot remove key and cannot move wheel to locate anti-theft steering wheel lock detent...repeated restart / moving of auto / ignition off ...finally releases key !!...loss of electrical power causes steering wheel lock !!!...if battery is discharged, attempt at start causes key to be "captured,"...cannot be removed without "boost."...the latter indicates essentially faulty design...apparently nobody checked what would happen with dead battery, loss of auto electrical power, or loss of electrical power at steering wheel anti-theft locking system..."theft setup"...can set door locks and exit vehicle, but "captured key" can be used to start engine and vehicle can be driven away !!!..apparently this is no longer a simple mechanical detent, but a solenoid system...so-called "fail safe" is in "wrong direction" !!!...ought to fail into non-locking...this system is irritating at minimum, but can easily be a terrible safety hazard when vehicle is in motion...dealer maintained "never heard of problem."..past june arrived in fargo, nd for overnight...took dozen restarts / moves / stops before key "released" !!!...local dealer familiar with problem...connector corrosion at shift console...unitized assembly, entire console sub-assembly replacement at $780 !!!...tech "loaded" connector with silicone "ignition grease" to forestall recurrence...don't know extent (years and vehicles) gm is using this system...(aside opinion)...dealer denial of problem and no issuance of defect warning opens up a potentially hellish legal liability campaign...

Ignition switch component with wire harness causes engine to shut down.all warning display lites flash on and off .if you use the left or right signal enginepower cuts out . Very hazardouse when driving at normal highway speeds. Car will not start when this happens. I contacted dealership in bremmerton washingtonthey stated that my vehical vin was not on the recall list please add this vin to the recall list so appropriate repairs can be made this is a very dangerous situation and could be fatal to drivers.

9/12/09 dies and will not restart. 9/14/09 parts that needed replaced are starter and battery. Problem is still there. Car will only turn over (run) when the head lights are on (not in the auto mode) and if turned off the car dies and every light on dash is eliminated and flashing. Then when blinkers are used while driving the motor dies.this happens every time the car is driven (after 9/14/09). On blogs other owners have experienced this problem and replaced ignition switch.

On or around october 2013, i started experiencing difficulty in turn ignition switch off and removing key.now its worsen where i spend anywhere 5 mins. To 15 min trying to remove the key. Only way i can do that is by turning the steering wheel or moving the gear selector back an forth till it decides it release the key.i thought it might have been the anti-theft in column that was locking up. I'm scheduled to have a new ignition installed after replacing the old key with a new key. I like to make sure this is covered before i sink anymore money into it. I depend on the car to make to doctor appointments and sucki often am late for because i"m in the parking lot playing spin the wheel.the other factor is steering wheel get extremelyhot when driving at times. Where i have to put on gloves to drive.i replaced all the light bulbs in the socket last year all but the right front turn signal works. They tell me it possibly could be the module. Again, i don't have the funds to do extreme car repairs.or reimburse me for the costs which is the right thing to do.

Same as odi case numbers 10170430 and 10164275. Engine dies when directional are turned on. I can sometimes restart the car a second time, but it sputters intermittently until engine clears. Usually a third attempt to start fails. Would like input from someone who has found the solution. I have changed out the directional assembly. It didn't help. Car has 173,000 miles on. Car key have security chip.

Key sticks in ignition. Ignition switch failure caused loss of hvac system, cruise control and rear window defogger.

My 2000 buick regal does great in winter, now in summer,it will just die going down the road.sometimes you can go to the store go in an come out 30 minutes later or an hour and it wont start, kinda sounds like its out of gas but its not.it turns over but wont start and then if you wait long enoughit will start right up?????i have had the fuel pump checked it is fine.it does have a check engine light on and the code reads secondary air malfunction...???nay suggestions?please email me at [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The miles and gear shift have stopped showing on the dash board. When in reverse when i put the car back into drive the headlights go dim until the car picks up speed. Also i have been having a recall on my car since october and have yet to receive a call, letter, email etc.

The contact owns a 2000 buick regal. The contact stated that the ignition key was difficult to remove and remained stuck numerous times. The contact had to use the manual release button each time the failure recurred. The dealer informed the contact that the ignition switch and key needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact later received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v701000 (engine and engine cooling) however, the dealer indicated that the part was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Climate contol malfunctioned.sometimes, the driver's side mid-level climate control vents blow warm air, even though the climate control is set on auto and the passenger's side is blowing cold air.this happens regardless of the "auto" temperature setting ( 68, 74 degress, etc.).this malfunction could cause driver distraction or even drowsiness.

Odometer started turning off intermittently and finally went dark.

The dashlights have failed on this vehicle. It is unsafe to drive the vehicle at night. The dealership states the instrument cluster is on national back order. This indicates that there is an inherent safety problem with the dash cluster on this vehicle. The inability to see one's speed or gauges are potential risks for causing accidents.

Negative cable on battery keeps loosening, causingbattery todie.

The ignition gets stuck and it's hard to get it out. Takes about 20 min to get it out sometimes just leave it in the car. I live in phoenix and it's hot out here my mother is yelling at me sorry. So please can you do something to help me. Also the part is like 100.oo dollars and my mom is on a fixed income thank you.

Steering wheel gets extremely stiff after a couple of miles ofdriving.also, constant stalling while driving vehicle.

While driving my 2000 buick regal i turned on the turn signal and the instrument panel lights flashed and the engine turned off.this resulted in lost of power steering and power brakes and i had to fight the car to the side of the road.this happened a total of three times.

The left turn signal failed to work reliably.eventually, it did not work at all.car was serviced by two dealers under warrenty.it took four vists to resolve the problem.a control computer was replaced.apparently this repair caused my airbag warning light to shine.at this time i do not know if my air bags will work in a crash or if they will go off unexpectedly.car manual states that either scenario may occur.dealer service technician states that it will not deploy unexpectedly.

The contact owns a 2000 buick regal. While attempting to accelerate at 70 mph the speed would not increased. Next the vehicle began to loose power.. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer. The current and failure mileages were 130000.updated 12/07/09 the consumer stated when she turned on her turn signal to pass another vehicle, all the lights on the dash started flashing and the vehicle started to loose power.the consumer got off at the next exit and when she made a turn, the vehicle cut off.also everymonth the low pressure tire light illuminated. One of the tires was extremely low. The consumer was informed the reason the tire was loosing air was because of the rims.updated 12/09/09.

Late december i receive recall 15757 which stated the issue with the possible engine compartment fire. It also stated that 'parts to repair your vehicle are not currently available. My car went on fire on january 19, 2016 and was destroyed. It was parked for about twenty minutes after i drove it for about 30 minutes.the car that i have had for 200,000 miles because we loved the car and took extremely good care of, which would have lasted at least another two to three years, is now gone.i reported it promptly on january 21, 2016 to an extremely gracious woman named elizabeth, and was given the service request number. An inspection of my vehicle would occur i was told.i was just now told on the phone that because i made a claim to my insurance company, that gm / buick considers the matter closed. In what world does that make sense???i am now faced with the need to purchase another vehicle which i can ill afford. Even with the insurance settlement, i will incur debt that that was not in my plans and will be extremely difficult to arrange.besides the money, is there no consideration to the turmoil this has caused. Have you ever watched your car go up in flames? have you ever had to tell your spouse that the vehicle she has meticulously cared for so long just burned to a crisp? the fire occurred in my workplace parking lot and was put out by our local volunteer fire dept.i have gone to great lengths to make sure that my insurance company was aware that the car needed to be inspected by gm to insure that that the fire was related to the recall issue. I understand that perfectly. I also communicated to gm where the vehicle was being towed to and provided names and phone numbers.in following up i was now told that nothing was done and nothing is to be done!

Consumer is requesting reimbursement for the repair work performed on her 2000 buick regal - safety recall 09047.*njthe consumer received a safety recall letter in the mail. She took the vehicle to the dealer for the recall on may 18, 2009. On may 27, 2009 the vehicle stalled and almost caused an accident. The vehicle started up again after a 5 minute rest. The next day, the vehicle stalled 4 separate times while driving, the last stall took a wait of 20 minutes.the consumer took the vehicle back since the vehicle started stalling after the safety recall was performed. The consumer was told a new ignition switch was needed, but declined the repairs. The consumer went to her personal mechanic to have the vehicle inspected.the mechanic stated the engine wiring and ignition were all ok. The mechanic did find 2 plug wire separators on the front of the engine and spark plug wires were routed wrong, he also found the battery was installed on electrical wires leading to the fuse panel. The mechanic explained to the consumer that the spark plug caps were replaced and re-routed incorrectly, and the spark plug separator wires were all mixed up, which caused the spark plugs to misfire resulting in the vehicle stalling. The consumer is requesting reimbursement on the grounds that the mechanicshould have been more careful and did the replacement correctly when performing the recall.

This is in regards to: nhtsa action number: ea07008the recall replaces one of the valve cover gaskets.obviously, when the car is brought in every gm dealer is going to tell you the other gasket is leaking also and should be replaced.i talked with the service manager at my gm dealer and he sees no reason why one side is different than the other.the recall references valve cover gaskets and hot exhaust system components which are on both sides of the engine. After being told that this may cause a fire most people are going to feel compelled to replace both side and wind up spending approximately $250.if there is no risk on the gasket covering cylinders 2-4-6, the recall as well as gm should state that, otherwise they should replace both.

My major concern is when i went to replace my tires today goodyear ls eagles i was told the tie rods were worn so badly that they could not do it without replacing them to align the car properly.there had been a noise in the front of the car since the day one that i thought was normal tire noise, based on my years of driving (37 without incident) it seems worn tie rods at 31,000 miles is something to consider investigating. My driving is local 90% of the time, 7 miles each way to work, 5 days a week.once a month a trip to boston.i took the opportunity to report the other little incidental problems that do not have an immediate effect on my safety, the exception being the air bag light coming on and off intermittently.i have not reported these minor probelms to the dealer.i have reviewed the recall notices for my buick regal and based on my vin number i am hoping nhtsa can let me know if all the recall work has been performed.i purchased the car new in july2000 and iam only aware of two recalls that required us to replace the labels on our visors and return to the dealer for seat belt assembly.i have never been contacted for the other reported recalls although they occurredin may 00 and june 00 and i did not purchase the car until 7/29/00.is it safe to assume the recalls in may and june were performed on my car if it was one of the vehicles in need?dt

I purchased a 2000 buick regal gse 8/18/00 which has a supercharged engine.the car has been a great car until 12/16/2005.after i had parked the car and gone into the doctor's office, my car caught fire and was destroyed.the car was totaled and the insurance adjuster told me it was the 3rd burnedbuick regal supercharged engine that he'd seen this year alone.after investigation, it appears the gasket in the fuel injection system leaked, fuel dropped onto the manifold system, a fire started and the car was destroyed (along with a good bit of damage to the volvo parked next to mine).it would appear that the supercharged engine gaskets are a problem and fortunately for me, the car was the only loss....it could have been so much more.i do not know if others have lost anything beyond their cars but i believe it should be investigated.

They told me it needed both new rear seat belt assemblies.vehicle: 2000 buick regal ls vin [xxx] i feel that this being a safety related problem, with a law in force that says you have to wear a seat belt should be something that should be taken care of by gm. I have had the vehicle since february 04, 2004 i was not aware of the problem, because no one has been in the back seat. If it would have been one rear seatbelt assembly, i probably would have paid to have it fixed, but the fact that both rear seat belt assemblies are completely locked up says to me that there must be some kind of defect, and i feel that this type of problem should be reported, and checked for similar complaints or malfunctions. Brake pedal slowly decends all the way to the floor when appling brakes. In normal braking a small tap would make the brakes react and the pedal stayed firm and would not slowly decend to floor.i took it into sudbay (the problem occured the whole half hour drive).when i got there, the brakes were again functioning normally and did so all the way to work (15 minutes).when i left work this evening, it was acting up again.

Anti-lock brake and traction off warning lights are displayed on the instrument panel. Two previous times since july 2004 this has occurred. Three different components of the anti-lock system have been changed.i'm concerned about faulty equipment and the anti-lock brakes not working in the event of a crash.

I have a 2000 buick regal.in june 2005 three warning lights started showing up on my dash "check engine", "anti lock brakes" and "traction control system off".the light stayed on for 1 week and then went off.thirty days later, the light came back on and stayed on for 1 week and then went off.i took the car to the williams family auto mall dealership (where i originally purchased the car and have had my car serviced) to diagnose the problem.they told me the anti lock brake system needs to be replaced and it will cost me $3,200 to fix.the car has 80,000 miles on it.i declined having this fixed because i do not have that kind of money to repair the car.in the middle of august, the three warning lights came on again and have stayed on since them.now that i see the recall notice for gm's trucks and suv's with anti lock brake system problems i wanted to see if my problems are related to the recall.i also wanted to see if there is anyway i can have my car repaired along with this recall notice.its not right for such a system to go out with 80,000 miles.in august 2005, i also has the power steering go out on all left turns.this was a major safety issue and i had to pay $1,000 to have this fixed.this also happened at 80,000 miles and again, in my opinion, should not have gone out.i had no choice but to repair this problem because i could not make any left turns with the vehicle.i took the car to the dealership for an estimate which was $2,300 who said the "rack" was out.i then took it to a local garage, dempseys, and they said the "pinion" part of the steering was out.i had the car fixed at dempseys for $1,000 with refurbished parts and the problem is fixed.

At 83000 miles my abs system failed leaving my car without abs and traction control i think that at this low miliage this should not be a factor in this car the part to make everything work right again is $1269.00 without labor. I feel other buick owners are having the same problem and this is a safety issue and should be looked at more closely. *a

Experience an intermittent loss of power steering assist when making left turns, usually at low speeds. When trying to turn left out of a parking space experience higher resistance or in a few cases assists towards the right. If this happens while the vehicle is moving, a crash could result.

My complaint is my windows. My car will be paid offthis nov. And i should have already filed this complaint. The first of this year my right back window got stuck in the downward position. I called superior chev to get a quote, it was 249.00 just for the window regulator over 600.00 parts and labor. I had to have the part so i bought it and came in contact with someone that could put it on for me for about 90% less than superior chev in dekalb county georgia. I always had trouble with the rear left window.i have my granddaughter car seat on that side. When i would pick up my son from school we could not roll the windows down because they would not come down. Then i hadthe driver's side down and it got stuck in the downward position. I had to take it in to have someone to tie it up will plastic ties because it was starting to rain. I have taken very good care of my car and it was not about to get ruin over some rain because of a manufacturing defect. I didn't and don'thave the money to have all these windows fixed. I still can't get the windows down on the driver's side or the rear passenger side. I called monday superior chev oct 14,2005 instead of the part being 249.00. It is now 329.how in the world can someone come out of their pocket with this much money when it is the manufacturers fault. For me it is embarrassing to go through a drive-thru and open a door to pay and open again to pick-up the food.i don't go to drive-through no more.it's still hot when i wait on my son to get off from work and i can't lower the driver's window or the right left rear where my granddaughter sits. Could you please see if there is something that could be done and not just for me, but for other car buyers too.i have always bought what i consider american made cars and we need to do better in order to keep our jobs. I also had a tie rod i had to have replaced i believe it was in 2002 or 2003. I also had a lock actuator put on the car 4/30/02.

My son was driving when the car started smoking and caught fire. It was close as when he got out the front dash started burning. The car was a total loss. I have video of it burning and listening to my son describe all his clothes and personal things going up in flames. I have been writing and writing about this with every recall notice i receive. And that has been a lot. I only paid $3000.00 for the car but feel cheated to have lost it all. And almost lost my son! my recall # is 090447. It would be nice to hear back from someone about this. Maybe it can be resolved in my favor as i have a buick in my driveway now. I like them, always have.

About four days ago check enginechecklight and oil light came on. I checked the oil which was fine and planned on taking to the garage this week. As i was driving to work at approximately 3:00 pm on may 21, 2007 i made a left hand turn from us 1 onto southampton road. As i accelerated the car the engine accelerated to full speed. I immediately pressed the brake , but the engine continued to speed up. I put the transmission into neutral and the rpmsred lined above 7000 rpms.i shut off the car and attempted to restart itand it started normally, but as soon as i accelerated, it repeated with the same unintentional acceleration.fotunately there were no cars in front of me or i would certainly have been involved in a serious accident.

Shortly after purchasing car used from dealership, car exhibited symptoms of acceleration/surging when vehicle stopped.also sudden hard vibrations/jerkings and loss of power when driving.multiple sensors come on (airbag, etc) and don't go off.and all items in dash have gone out (occasionally flickers back on).

I was driving around adrivethru at kfc and the car immediately began to accelerate.the car began to speed up and steering wheel locked causing my vehicle to crash into the side of the building and damage the gas line.prior to the accident, i saw a recall on the news about the removal of the keys out of the ignition and noticed my vehicle was also able to remove the keys while the car still ran with a red security light.it was 8:30am and there was no other cars involved and i was not using the drivethru, i was just driving up to the door to see what time the establishment opened.

The contact owns a 2000 buick regal. The vehicle lunged forward approximately 25 feet while the brake pedal was depressed.on two other occasions, the vehicle lunged backwards while the brake pedal was depressed.the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure.the current mileage was 71,000 and failure mileage was 70,000.

The window regulators on my 2000 buick regal have failed. The driver-side window and the rear driver side window have both broken, with the window falling into the door and the regulator not working.

I have owned a 2000 buick regal since 2001.a few months ago, the driver's side electric window starting operating erratically - sometimes it would not work at all; other times it would.my mechanic looked at it but it worked fine for him.last week, it suddenly stopped working and made a grinding noise, causing difficulty in every day usage, such as pulling up to mailbox to get mail.my mechanic stated the part alone will cost over $300 dollars.i have researched the problem on the internet and found this is a routine problem in buicks due to poor design - a plastic piece (involving regulator?) that fails too easily.please ask buick / gm to issue a recall due to the enormous frequency of this problem.thank you.

Regulator needed to be replaced on the power window500 to repairair bag lights go on and off...1200 to repair.

2000 buick regal with 50,000 miles. Bought this vehicle used in 2007. All 4 window regulators broke and had to be replaced at a cost of almost 1600$ canadian. After much research i find that this is a recurring problem on buicks.. This should be recalled by gm at there expense.

Electric window motors fail leaving open windows in vehicle due to faulty general motors design. Upon examination i found that the steel cables that hold the electric windowsin my 2000 buick regal are under great tension and they self destruct due to the plastic guides falling apart. If the cable is not in tension the motor will not work and the window falls open into the car door. New motor regulator assembly costs $400 for each window and the dealers want $400 labor to replace eachwindow.i tied the cables with rope to get the windows to shut with the motor and then forced the window to stay shut with a wood brace in the door.after paying for a new vehicle and a vehicle extended warranty from gm i should not have to keep paying $800 per electric window for the rest of my vehicles life. The windows not shutting is a vehicle safely problem. Gm representatives claim that because their electric windows fail open that it is not a vehicle safety problem.i know of many other buick and pontiac owners that are also having the exact same problems with these windows as the vehicles age out of warranty.

Consumer complained that windshield wipers failed to operatemajority of the time, they worked only onrandom basis.consumer has takenvehicle todealer/mechanic and has been told that it could be one of nine parts, but they could not see a reason forerratic operation.consumer states that on one occasion wipers failed for approximately 10 miles while driving in heavy snow.

The drivers side rearview mirror is smaller than the passenger side mirror, this difference decreases the viewing area and increases the blind spot making lane changes difficult.nlm

The windshield wipers failed.
