Consumer was involved in an accident in which there was no deployment of driver's side airbag. Cause of problem unknown. Vehicle was totaled.

Consumer was traveling 4 0 mph on a bridge in bad weather while changing lanesvehicle skidded horizontally. A oil truck hitconsumer's vehicle on driver's front,and airbags didn't deploy.

At speed of 35 mph applied abs brakes and had extended stopping distance,pedal went to the floor, impact 12:00 position,driver's side airbag did not deploy.

Approximately five hours after vehicle was parked, the theft alarm was heard and vehicle was found in flames.

Alternator failed.

Alternator defective, causing a short in the battery/immobility of vehicle.(1st vehicle on 601576)

The contact owns a 1992 buick park avenue.while driving 40 mph, the vehicle shut off on four different occasions.on each occasion, the contact waited ten minutes for the vehicle to restart.on may 7, 2007, the contact attempted to start the vehicle and was unsuccessful.prior to this failure, the service engine light illuminated.the current and failure mileages were 144,096.the dealer states compressor locked up, flush condenser and dealer also installed alternator. Vehicle has automatic headlights, when set to automatically function headlights will go out while driving.when turned on manually lights stay on.

Dealer reported that entire wiring harness required replacement because of potential fire hazard from shorts occurring in original wire harness.appeasr to be caused by lack of reliable short protection (i,e, circuit breakers, fuses, etc,)this is a substantial hazard and cost to be borne by the owner of the car.

When operating in stop and go traffic in warm weather, moving from a stopped position,engine stalls out. Dealer cannot duplicate problem.

Water and oil was leaking from the engine. When it was repaired the engine stilled made noise.*ml

Driving at high speedsvehicle loses power and slows down, and then unexpectedly regains power. This defect is intermittent. Dealer cannot determine the cause of defect.

Car stalled as i was going down freeway 65 mph. Stalled, no warning at all. No brakes (power)no steering (power. Lucky i was in right hand lane to horse car off to side and call tow truck. Second time going down steep grade, stalled same exact thing no power coasted down to bottom of hill trying to avoid accident. Let car sit for 15 minutes, start right back up and run for a couple of weeks.now i drive in right lane, 45 mph, phone and aaa card by my side. Scary

Gas line cracked causing fluid to spill.

While driving at highway speed vehicle started deceleratingwithout brakes being applied.contacted dealer. Fuel pump had failed as a result of pieces of plastic peeling off of gas tank ,and blocking the flow of the fuel.

When the rear defroster is on the power locks will not operate.which poses the a safety hazard. In an emergency, a small child would be trapped in the vehicle since child proof locks only open from outside.

Dt:1992 buick park avenue.the consumer states that the struts that hold the hood up can wear out.the struts are not workingall at this time.they stopped working approximately 4 or 5 months ago.consumer did call buick and they told him that because there was not a recall they could not do anything for him.the service department stated it was common in all general motors products.the consumer states he puts a fiber glass umbrella to hold the hood up.in the winter months the problem is not as bad as the warmer months.

I bought my 1992 buick park avenue on 09/29/1991 (from don snell buick, dallas).each year i only used the emergency parking brake one time when i got texas car inspection.i think i never used that brake for more than 10 times totally after i bought that car.this year(1999), before i did the car inspection, i found when i applied the emergency parking brake, the emergency parking brake couldn not hold down.so i went to the city garage car repair shop, and they told me that problem been recalled.therefore i went to ewing buick (4464 west plano parkway, plano, texas 75093, phone: 972-964-3540) this morning (02/02/1999).after ewing checked my car, they said that my car had the same problem as the ones being recalled, but my car is not onthe recall list. I want to complain about it. Even though my car is 1992 model, but it was built in july, 1991.since my car's emergency parking brake has the same problem as the ones having been recalled (1991 park avenue and 1992 lesabre model), how can (buick be sure that they did not put that 1991 part to my july 1991 built 1992 park avenue model!can you please tell me how can i do?the nhtsa campaign id number is 91v167000.the recall no is 92c02.

When applying the emergency brake, it pops loose and will not stay down. Dealer has not seen vehicle.

Carl rummer buick 96v9015. Dlr., and factory zone informed caller they are experiencing difficulty in receiving/shipping the parts due to back order.

The rear seat belts on the driver's and passenger's sides jam into the mechanism and do not allow the belt to be pulled across the lap and fastened.the system was repaired in nov of 96, the problem still exists.

The abs light continued to come on and the system was still operating, except whe coming to a quick stop.

Continues to have brake failure, brakes started rubbing because the rims were very hot to touch and then started to grab, abs light would come on,replaced the front brake pads and there are still problems.please give more information.

Consumer attempted to stop due to a stopped motorist ahead, however brakes failed, consumer swerved to miss vehicle and crashed into a backhoe, there were no injuries in accident, dealer found no problems.

During vehicle operation at 20 mph. Poor abs brake performance was experienced. The pedal went to the floor when it was applied.

The abs pressure modulator valve failed.

All struts failed, causing vehicle to bounce.

The bolts that fasten the rear suspension to the frame of the car have rusted and it has riped lose from the frame of the car.the right side is rusted also but has not pulled lose yet.when it broke lose i was traveling approx 20mph.the car turned at 360 degrees.fortunatly there were no other cars around to impact.

All struts failed, causing vehicle to bounce.

Three separate incidents of tire blowouts, one incident happened while traveling between 25-30 mph, other two incidents while traveling about 60 mph, no crashes or injuries, tires were made by firestone. *cj

While driving in stop and go areas the car will shut off completely. No steering, brakes, or power whatsoever. Will place in park and turn key, car will start right up. So far i have not found anyone who can find the cause of this issue and just recommend replacing numerous parts.

Vehicle experienced sudden acceleration resulting in a collision.

While driving, in cruise control at approx. 50mph. When made attempt to brake, vehicle failed to decelerate due to servo malfunction.tt servo malfunction was not the problem.the actual cause was determined to be the water in the throttle cable. The cable was dried and lubricated solving the problem.

Return spring broke, causing right rear brake to grind and periodically when stopping, brakes would seize.

Selection of heater stuck in deforst.selection of direction air flow cannot be made.

Tinted mirror on driver's side has become partially untinted, causing difficulty judging distance of following vehicle. *sd
