My air bag light now remains on.the mechanic has indicated that due to different drivers using the car and changing the position of the seat the connection has been severed.per the mechanic , buickis repairing the cars for only those people that have less than 36,000 miles. How can they not repair for me?we have 3 drivers in the family and are not the same in height.on page 76 of the owners manual it indicates that the car has a sensor to determine where the driver is sitting.i would expect the car to not "wear" out in sensing and sever the connection.can you assist with this? my vehicle has 98572 miles.

I recently purchased this vehicle, and now the "service air bag" light is on, and i believe that it is for the passenger airbag (there is someone in the passenger seat currently, but the passenger air bag reads that it is off - car is shifted in park).is there a recall for the air bag system?
I bought the car a 2007 in september of 2012 with 50000 miles. When driving varies speeds and when the drivers seat is moved the air bag light will come on at random. Every time it comes on know it lasts longer than before. Have talked to several people and they said that if its on and i get in a accident the airbags may not work? wouldn't that be a safety issue?
Around or about october 2011, while traveling at approximately 40 mph, my 2007 buick lucerne's engine suddenly shut off. This caused the loss of power steering and brakes (and airbag?). Fortunately, i was on a secondary road and managed to get the vehicle to the side of the road without any problem. Initial efforts to restart the vehicle were unsuccessful, so i called aaa for assistance. After about 15 minutes, and before aaa arrived, i was able to restart the car and drove home (it was a sunday). The next day i drove the car to the dealership where i had purchased it (new) just over five years before (it was just out of warranty). After what i was told was a complete check, no apparent reason for the engine quitting could be found. I drove the car home and around town for several days, when the same thing happened again. This time when i took the car to the dealership i told my service consultant that i refused to drive the car, which i occasionally used to transport my young grandchildren, until the problem had been diagnosed and repaired. We agreed that one of the mechanics could use it for his personal use until the problem reoccurred. And it did. A few days later the dealership informed me that the car had again stalled, that the problem had been diagnosed, and that there would be no charge when i picked up the vehicle. The problem, i was told, was "in a computer" that had been replaced. I drove the car for several months after that (before selling it), and the problem did not reoccur.i brought this to the attention of both general motors and on-star (the latter, just in case the shutdowns had been prompted by that system) and nobody would acknowledge that similar incidents with buicks had occurred: and they still won't. A cursory search of the internet shows similar problems with other buicks, yet they are not included in any recalls. Why not?thank you.

Tarata recall my air bag light keeps coming on when you start it in screen under speed and the light also. And it stays on until you take out key.
I was driving my buick lucerne and was traveling about 80 mph when i hit the car in front of me i was going 70 mph as per gm the air bag did not deploy.
I had entered a left turn lane and had gotten over the line into oncoming traffic.another vehicle struck me head-on at approximately 50 miles per hour.my air bags (side and front) did not deploy.i struck the steering wheel with my right chest (the seatbelts worked).it took over 6 weeks for the blood accumulation and bruising to subside.when i called my buick dealer, they told me that if i had not hit the front bumper in the center, that the airbag might not deploy.i consider that nonsense, since even the motor mounts were broken, resulting in the vehicle being totaled.

Air bag & aircurtain are inoperable due to mash switch in seat that cannot accommodate a passenger in the 100 lb. Range. Buick claims there hands are tied and cannot modify because of federal safety guidelines but that leave the right side safety accommodations unusable and does not protect the passenger.
I have no heat coming out of the passenger side of the vents. The blower works but there is no heathad it flushed twice and put in a new thermostat no change

I own a 2007 buick lucerne.since i retired the car would sit in the garage for a few days whereupon it would go dead.i called onstar and had the car jump started but it kept happening. So the dealer finally took it in and tested the draw.they found a defective onstar module and another module connected to the door and lights that were bad. It has been fixed and so far so good until today when i was driving down the road and it just stopped dead.so i do notknow the outcome of this failure yet. I was driving down the road about 1 mike from my house.the road is a country road and is straight.i wasn't distracted or speeding.it happened so fast but i think i may have hit a slight bump on the right hand shoulder of the road and then the car started fish tailing and then went off the road and was stopped when it hit a dirt driveway.i had no control of the car and the brakes failed to stop the car.the car was totaled with only 36000 miles on it even though i luckily just sideswiped a tree.the car always seemed hard to steer as if the steering was loose and you really had to pay attention and keep both hands on the steering wheel.the car was my elderly in-laws who bought it brand new in 2007.they both passed away in november 2018 and then i inherited it and had just recently started driving it. I purchased my '07 buick lucerne cxl about a year ago ago an i actually love the car however; about 3 or so months ago i noticed a what i am suspecting is the transmission or possibly a censor or relay issue causing the car to make a hesitation and drag when i try to keep a consistent speed and only quits when i press or depress the gas pedal making the car either accelerate or decrease in speed drastically. Also, about a month ago i noticed the headlights and dash lights get brighter and then dimmer in a flashing manner at no certain interval; now the "service battery charging system" dic message along with the red battery dash light comes on and goes off also at no specific time or interval ( at which time my heater/seat warmers/radio/etc shut off ). I am able to force the dic message and battery dash light to go away upon my revving the engine or accelerating drastically. I have had both the battery and the alternator checked and both are in good working order so now, after some online research, i will check the fuses and relay switches more intensely. I pray i am able to find a solution as i really do love my car. Also, last week my transponder key quit working in the ignition and had to use the fob remote start to start the engine, thankfully upon checking the fuses under the back seat ( i guess from removing and replacing them ), the key and console ignition did start operating normally again. And i checked my vin # on this site and it is returning clear to having no current recalls. I am however worried of some of the stories i have read regarding malfunction, i fear i may be facing a future alike incident so if anyone has any solutions i am all ears. Thank you...
Left home in the evening and turned headlights on.noted the highbeams were on and tried to change to lowbeams, but headlights remained on highbeams.
Re: 2007 buick lucerne. In daylight driving the instrument cluster is not visible. Very hard to read odometer or gas gauge, have contacted dealers with no success in solving problem.
Head light failure due to passenger side relay harness module failure. Low beam lights failed on dark night on mountain road. This problem has been reported by numerous buick lucerne drivers. Buick obviously knows there is a problem because they offer a replacement front light harness module that must be spliced into the existing main light harness to replace the original equipment module. This is an obvious manufacturing design defect and a difficult module to replace. The replacement module is approximately $50 and the replacement labor is around 1.5 hours. With normal use this light module connections shorts out because of the overload on the module. Why hasn't this problem been considered for a recall? gm has admitted it is a design defect with the availability of the replacement light harness module wiring kit. My wife almost went off the road and wrecked when the lights went out.

I parked my 2007 lucerne for 17 days while on vacation.when i returned, the battery was dead.there was nothing plugged into the car like a phone charger or anything else.after charging the battery, i took it to local dealer who kept it for over two weeks, performed a parasitic draw test, and basically found nothing except a 201ma current draw over 7 days.the battery and charging systems checked ok.they couldn't tell me when or for how long that 201ma draw lasted or what caused it.they claimed that since they could not duplicate the problem, they can't fix it since it's "within specs" at this time.i brought car home and let it sit untouched/undriven for 3 more weeks to try to duplicate it being parked on my vacation, and there was no battery discharge problem.however, i feel i can't trust the car to be parked, unused, for any length of time (more than 2 weeks) for fear the battery will discharge again.

Veh while driving just cuts off for no reason, speed does not matter.if going fast enough you might be able to cost to the shoulder of the road however there is absolutely no warning it just cuts off.after waiting about 5 minutes you can restart the car but have no assurance that it will keep going.this has happened a total of three times. Once in heavy traffic, and twice when there was enough speed to get the car to the shoulder of the road.the first time was the camshaft sensor and had that replaced and the service man told me there was absolutely no warning for failure. The second and third time no warning but have not found out what the cause s of this problem was.i contacted buick and there has been no recall for this problem.got on a buick forum and found that there are several instances of this happening to other buick lucerne's.it is very dangerous for this problemespecially when you have not warning of sudden stops.buick needs to look into this and pursue this with diligence before there is a car pile up on a freeway.thanks
Leased buick lucerne 2007, nothing was wrong when i got it and they told me there was a recall on the car but it was fixed, but then 5 weeks later my car won't start...they put a fake recall inspection sticker on the car, they told me "don't put anything on the key...now they want me to pay for the payments, deductible, and diagnostic fee...

I was driving down street and motor quit running.the motor did start and i continued on my journey. Later that same day, the engine stopped again and would not restart for several minute.after several tries it started.i did not have any more occurrences for several months. I received a notice that my buick had been recalled, but that parts were not available.in a letter dated september 2014, i was notified to contact my dealer and parts were now available for gm recall 14299.i called the dealer and they said parts were not available and they would call me when they were available.after several weeks, i called and they had the part and scheduled me for nov. 17.i took the buick in with four keys.they would only fix two keys; so, now i have two fixed keys and two unfixed keys for the car.on december 4, the engine quit on me again and would not restart.i tried moving the gear shift, but that did not help.after several minutes the car did start and has been trouble free since that time. When the engine would not start, all other electrical items seemed to work, but the starter would not crank. I took the car to a mechanic, but he could not find a problem because the car was working fine at that time.i am concerned that the engine will stop while on the highway or in heavy traffic in a dangerous situation.what can i do about this?

This car just shuts down while driving. This is very serious as you lose your power steering and brakes. It has happened 3 times in the last month. Someone is going to get killed! i took it to mechanic first time he tightened a battery wire. It did start back up but died going down the road and towed it back. He then tightened wire on ignition module. It started and ran a few days and did it again. It now did it a third time. It throws no codes on the car so it is very difficult to diagnose. I have seen numerous other people have this problem. Th

2007 buick lucerne.consumer writes in regards to rear view cameras and automatic headlights in all cars..
The passenger side head lights failed and the problem was not the bulbs. The primary connector for both the high beam, low beam, and turn signal lights proved to be defective with a burn mark on the terminal that supports the above lights. I was advised by the buick dealer that there is a kit to replace this connector because it is a known problem. This is a safety issue because this connector can fail at any time and it is impossible for a non-mechanic to repair this connector in the field because access to the connector involves a partial dismantling of the bumper shield and special tools. The fact that there is a kit to replace this connector suggests it is a design defect in either the wiring or the connector and that it should be considered a recall item because of the potential danger of sudden loss of headlights. My lights went out at night while driving in mountain terrain. I have gone on the internet and this apparently is a problem that has been experienced by a number of buick lucerne owners. This is an engineering mistake and gm should be forced to recall these cars and repair this design defect.

Dash cluster display is unreadable during daylight hours depriving the driver of critical information which could present a safety hazard, viz., speed, engine temperature, oil pressure, etc.i notified dealer of this problem a few times and they replaced the cluster;however, the replacement was no improvement.the dash is still illegible during daylight hours.i have followed up with the dealer on this defect and was told that there was no fix for the problem.
Instrument panel on 2007 buick lucerne difficult to read in the daylight. The gauges are recessed in tunnels such that the light doesn't make reading the temperature ,gas and speedometer readable. This is a design defect.

Takata recall as i was driving going to pick my kids up i noticed that my car seemed like it didn't want to go as soon as i came to a red lighti thought it would stop by the time i hadgottenready to pull off as soon as i pressed the gas and got ready to make my turn on to the next street the line from my transmission popped off so i pulled to the side of the road to take a look to see what was going on and all i seen was transmission fluid coming from the front of my car.

Tried to get vehicle alignment. The owner manual states:using abs.do not pump the brakes.just hold the brake pedal down firmy and let anti-lock work for you.you might hear the anti-lock pump or motor operate, and feel the brake pedal pulsate, but this is normal.at slow speed, going down hill on slipper surface, if the above instructions are followed, one can end up in the ditch or worse.there is no mention in the instructions as to speed before brakes activate which could result in injury or worse.owners' manual information is inaccurate.are anti-lock brakes being over emphasized.are they as good as advertised?

The air bags did not deploy.

Been having a clunk/bump type sound in the steering when the car is sitting still or at low speed, had a local dealer look at it a year ago and they found nothing, in addition too we are finding drops of oil in our driveway.wehave had several people look at it, with no luck at finding the leak. Recently the whole front end has been shaking, with several folks checking, including the local dealer who yesterday told me they no longer work on gm products. I looked online and found that the 2006 models had the same problems, so i talked to the a dealer and he said there is nothing they could do since there were no service bulletins or recalls for these problems for 2007. Off and on scraping noise in steering column when turning right or left. Usually occurs in cold weather and disappears after driving a short distance. The car often pulls hard to the right making it hard to keep on the road. I have to keep alert so it does not cause an accident. The dash lights have a mind of their own sometimes they work and most of the time they don't. I have had the car in for repair several times for both issues but was told they can not do anything as it doesn't make a noise in the steering when i bring it in. Also the dash lights have always come back on after i drive the 35 miles to the dealer where i bought the car. I have a gm 1-year or 12,000 mile warranty on this car it will soon expire.

When making turns in wet weather, especially if there is a small amount of standing water, the power steering fails completely.when this happens the vehicle is almost impossible to control.
Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle presented a permanent problem with the interior instrument panel which did not illuminate properly during the day while driving various speeds.also, the steering column turning radius was problematic when attempting to perform a u-turn.the dealer was contacted and did not provide any assistance.the manufacturer was also contacted and expressed the instrument panel was a manufacturer design feature that could not be corrected.no repairs were made.
Power steering leaks, steering is jerky, pump makes noise
While turning right at a slow speed the steering wheel locked up (wouldn't turn) for a second. After that i was able to resume steering through the corner. The engine did not shut off.
Car made a whirring sound when turning.took it to the dealership and they said that i need rack and pinion replaced.there was a tsb for fluid leak from steering gear line connection which i did not know about - therefore my power steering fluid was almost empty.i am a senior citizen and think i should have been contacted about the tsb.this is a safety issue if it affects the steering and i believe the dealership should be responsible.also when i was at the dealership on monday another man was told he needed to have rack and pinion replaced on his buick - isn't that curious.

Since i haven't been keeping my car in a garage...water has leaked into my trunk and has rusted the spare tire and all the parts to change the tire. Water had filled up the holding place for spare tire. I don't use my trunk that much and by the time i saw it mildew smell throughout the car. Been busting my butt trying to clean it up.i think i have figured out that the water has been getting through the back light fixtures down into the trunk.
Lost power & control, collision with 5 other cars & airbags did not deploy. Collision occurred immediately after power loss & no recollection on my part until paramedics arrived & took me to emergency room. Car was total loss.
I rarely use my rear door, but both doors had the lock assembly go bad.this wouldn't allow me to get in or out of the car.my front drivers side door lock assembly failed as well.total cost for the 3 doors to be repaired was almost 1000.00.

The contact owns a 2007 buick lucerne. The contact stated that the door handle fractured while the contact was attempting to enter the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was approximately 73,771.
The trunk allows water to enter each time it rains. This causes water to collect in the spare tire department in the trunk. After it rains, trunk must be vacuumed out in order to retrieve water out of trunk. Unfortunately, this has caused my trunk liner to mold completely, as well as to begin molding under my back seat. My daughter and i have a mold allergy which has been affected by the mold in the car which is impossible to get rid of due to the location it has grown.
The driver's side door handle is coming off.my car was in my garage when on friday, september 30, i opened the door and the handle pulled away from the door.i could not open the door!i had to enter the car through the passenger's side in order to open the driver's side door.i then pushed the driver's side door handle back into place and used shipping tape to keep it in place until i could get it repaired.i called the buick national helpline and was told there was an unofficial recall for this issue and they called my local buick dealer and arranged for me to have the repairs done under warranty, today, october 5.the dealer, fox valley buick gmc in st. Charles, il said they would do the repairs but it would cost approximately $200.i had no other option and had the door handle replaced.i was charged $74 for a $30 part and $134 for labor.i am waiting to hear from the dealership owner to discuss this matter of charging for warranty repairs.
I was driving down the highway and for no apparent reason, my sunroof exploded and shattered into tiny pieces.the noise was like a gunshot and glass came into the car because the visor was open at the time.i did not lose control of the car, but the noise did cause me to be distracted and disoriented for a short time.if there had been more traffic, it might have been a lot worse.i can not attribute the event to any weather condition or vehicle use condition.
Sunroof drain system failed, causing the interior of the vehicle to flood. Initial damage was repaired under warranty. Problem has recurred, on 7/3/13 at 86,000 miles, causing flooding to the interior of the vehicle. Said problem is a danger to health and safety due to mold.
Airbags did not deploy. Damage to front of vehicle sustained at least 20mph down to minimum 16mph traveling but making a left turn. Buick hit oncoming car in a near front on collision. Buick's front damaged by a punch that drove into the engine (corner of oncoming vehicle hit our vehicle just off center toward driver side) and resulting in a near front on collision, from inspection by adjuster, and first responders were that air bags should have deployed.vehicle had over $9,000 in front end repair needed, enough to total vehicle.bumper totally destroyed, radiator and fan gone, hood back to windshield folded.
Driver side door handle, cylinder lock and latch mechanism pulls out from the door when opening the door to enter car. The assembly stays loose after the door is closed. It appears that something has broken inside and will require that the door panel will need to be removed and assembly replaced.
Upon exiting the vehicle i grabbed theinterior door handle, as my hand slide across the handle i was cut by an exposed plastic edge on the underside. After cleaning and bandaging the cut, i checked the other handles and found them to all have the sharp exposed edge on the underside.
The contact owns a 2007 buick lucerne. When driving the vehicle the steering wheel has to be turned slightly to the left to get the vehicle to drive straight and stay in the lane. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed an alignment at 300 miles. At 600 miles the service manager acknowledged that the problem still exist and performed another alignment. An alignment was done four times and the problem still existed.the dealer also shimmed the engine cradle, but when the contact test drove the vehicle the failure continued to occur.the current mileage was 1,400, and the failure mileage was 300.
Tried to get vehicle alignment. Was told by alignment company that they couldn't do the alignment because the front hub bearings were loose and cost to replace was $879.69.one week ago, had to have upper strut bearings replaced because of crunching noise whenever steering wheel was turned 90 degrees either direction. Cost was $459.00 18 months ago had oil leak caused by leaking connector between transmission and transmission oil cooler.cost $200.00. This occurred 250 miles after warranty expired.

My car was not responding as it normally was and i took it into my mechanic.he put it up on the lift and discovered that both lower control arms were very worn and needed to be replaced immediately.it took him several days to find the left control arm. Her went on line and could not find any dealer that had the item in stock and was told that it was no longer available. He was told that gm had stopped making the part.he found that part at a parts store for about $70 more than the one part he was able to get at a dealer.the sad part was the part he found at the parts store was notably of a stronger metal and better construction that the original gm part.
The contact owns a 2007 buick lucerne. The contact stated that he heard a clunking noise whenever the steering wheel was turned. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that both front upper strut housings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and aligned. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 37,950.

I had to take the car to a gas station in the area because my tires were going flat constantly. I was continually putting air in the tires.i would lose 10 to 15 lbs of air per day!after talking to the mechanic, he told me that the bad rim was the problem. These rims were no good and a problem that is dangerous!i was told at that time that this was a constant problem with the chrome wheels. I had gone into a ditch last year because of the loss of air in a rear tire and had another car been coming at the time, i may have been killed. I just now replaced all four tires at the buick dealership here, brenengen auto, with new tires which match the original tires for this car. They found "heavy corrosion on the left rear rim" and they recommended replacing the rims to fix this problem. The cost of new rims is prohibitive! the tire to road is the most dangerous thing to go wrong!.i strongly demand you investigate these poorly made rims and declare a recall before someone is killed!
Problems with keeping tire pressure at proper level. Lately has gotten worse. Losing up to 10lbs over the period of a week in one of the tires. Two other tires leak slowly. After reading the other complaints on this site, i will certainly be elevating this with the dealer i bought the car from to see what can be done. Poor construction of wheels causing dropping pressure in tires is a serious problem.
The wiper pump stopped working out of no where and the tires keep losing air in them.
My car has been in the repair shop at least six times for the same problem and the light still comes on for the tire system sensor.does buick know how to fix this?they have supposedly replace the module that includes the door locks and a sensor.just got it back and it did it again.
2007 buick lucerne. Consumer writes in regards to a defectivewheel *tgwthe consumer stated the valve was leaking.
Vehicle stalls unexpectedly while driving and while it's just sitting. There is absolutely no warning sign as to when this will happen. It's stalled on me while driving in all weather conditions and at different speeds. The engine just quits. Sometimes it will restart after a short while, and at other times it's had to be towed. We've had it to different dealers and mechanics and no one can figure it out. Can't drive or sell it in this condition. The same problems occurred when my father owned the car. He took it in several times for repair also, and again, nothing solved the problem.
Dash cluster is very hard to read during daylight hours unless backlit by light sensor on the dash.during the day the dash cluster is almost impossible to see and read with or without sun glasses.i have to take my eyes off of the road for more than 2 seconds to see my speed, tack, gas gauge or other accessories, which takes my concentration away from driving and could result in a serious accident.i have had the car back to the dealer suss pontiac twice.first time they replaced the entire cluster.the second time was for the same reason.the dash cluster cannot be read during daylight hours.the second time back i was told by the dealer and buick there was nothing they could do about it, that i would have to put up with this problem.the dealer admitted that others have also complained of this exact same problem.if i cover the light sensor on top of the dash, then the night-time lights will come on and i can see, but this dims the radio so that it can't be read.covering the light sensor is not a solution to this problem.buick needs to make the face of the dash cluster any other color than dark blue or back light it.the service request number with buick was 71-849515366.

Problems : a short circuit on the printed circuit board for the washer fluid heater, overheating the ground circuit board. Possible for the heater washers module to ignite and a fire may occur.3.on 3 occasions the key has locked out of the run position and caused loss of power, power-steering, and power breaking; increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.i have contacted buick about this. While vehicle was in motionon a city street, approximately 5 days ago and also 1 month prior to this it unexpectedly reduced power and within 5 seconds completely shut down the vehicle!if i was on a parkway or interstate when this occurred it could have resulted in a serious crash.my wife will no longer drive this car for fear it will cause a terrible or fatal accident.the vehicles dash read "starting disabled"service throttle!took it to the local dealer for evaluation and they could not find a solution.this a very serious safety issue that needs corrected before someone is injured or killed.this car only has 36k miles on it.

I've had the sensor to my tire monitor replaced 3 times and it continues to come on and cause my tire light to come on, although my tires are fine. It continues to stall when i'm going into 1st gear or changing gears on the highway. When accelerating my pedal will shake
It's throwing code po742.when i come to a stop and try to go it hesitates and almost causes accidents.i've done research and my vehicle is not the only one of these cars that have the same problems, so it's definitely a defect , considering it has 120k miles on it
Instrument panel on 2007 buick lucerne difficult to read in the daylight. The gauges are recessed in tunnels such that the light doesn't make reading the temperature ,gas and speedometer readable. This is a design defect.

Windshield defroster safety complaint: i have a new 2007 lucerneand i just used it for the first time in a snowfall.unfortunately, the windshield defroster is aimed above the wiper blades, which means that there is no defrosting of the windshield below the wiper blades.as the snow is wiped downwards from thewindshield by the blades, it results in the formation of a large clump of ice forming immediately below the wipers, to which the wipers then freeze solid to the ice. Since the windshield defroster is aimed above the wiper blades, the ice cannot melt!this is an extremely dangerous situation, because the wiper blades then get coated with ice, freeze to the windshield and will not defrost while they are in their parked position because the defroster is aimed above this parked point.in fact,my friend who also an identical lucerne, just experienced the sudden breakage of the washer fluid line on the wiper blade when the wiper broke free of this ice mass.this is poor design for sure and a real safety hazard!
2007 buick lucerne engine will shut down without any notice. Consumer states that the engine problems have been on-going for some time now and would like to have the vehicle replaced by the dealership.*njthe consumer stated the engine cranked, but would not start.the dealership claimed the problem was a defective ignition control module and various electrical connections were loose and corroded. The vehicle shut down on 7 different occasions.the left rear window would not close. The problem was diagnosed as a twisted regulator cable.
Sunroof drain system failed, causing the interior of the vehicle to flood. Initial damage was repaired under warranty. Problem has recurred, on 7/3/13 at 86,000 miles, causing flooding to the interior of the vehicle. Said problem is a danger to health and safety due to mold.

2007 buick lucerne windshield wiper failure. Consumer states that the windshield wipers made a sharp noise then stopped completely. Consumer could not see the vehicle left the road and hit a hedge in someone's yard.the consumer was informed the failure of the windshield wiper was due to a plastic clip that suddenly disengaged.the clip linked the wiper motor with the wiper blades.
The chrome plated wheels become corroded and leak air around the bead of the tire. I have had all four tires remounted and sealed several times. Now it looks like i will have to buy new wheels gm dealer won't replace them having to pay for new wheels. The front passenger wheel now leaks about 10 lbs of air a day, which in my opinion is a safety factor not to mention that it is now winter and is a real pain having to put air in them every day.
I took my vehicle in for new tires, over the next few days i noticed my tire loosing air.went back to dealership and they removed the tire to find the rim had corrosion on the inside.they had to grind out the corrosion to see if they could get the tire to seal.i believe this weakened the rim.i notified gm and they want to cost share the same type rims.i believe these rims have defective metal and said i was not willing to put the same rims on.they declined further possibilities.this vehicle has always been garaged.i feel others should b e notified of this problem.thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is a slow leak of air from 2 of the 4 the aluminum alloys wheels.the wheels are original equipment on the car.also these 2 wheels have chrome flaking off.this should be a recall or covered on warrenty because it is very likely a manufacturing or material defect.
Chrome plated wheels are corroding and/or peeling causing loss of tire pressure.
I wish to file a complaint regarding the flaking of the chrome rims on our 2007 buick lucerne cxl.i think it is a safety issue since the tire pressure drops.when i purchased thetires inmay, 2013, at flynn tire in pittsburgh, it was pointed out that the chrome clad finish was coming off the rims, and they even had trouble balancing the new tires.my tire pressure drops so i have to put air in the tires every 3 to 4 days. We have only owned the car since january, 2012. It was purchased at colussey chevrolet in bridgeville.it was a certified vehicle so i feel they should have checked it out and realized the wheels were starting to flake.i spoke to gm rep.at 1-866-790-5700, ext. 21733 in august, 2013, and was assigned gm file no. 71-1235298454.she spoke to the service mgr. At colussey, and he was going to give me refurbished wheels for my car at an approximate cost $300 a wheel.he said through gm they would cost about $480.i have called numerous times and left messages, and no one has called back to get this resolved.i know i am not alone, because online there are a number of gm owners with the same problem on gm vehicles and gmc trucks.i believe it is a gm defect issue and i shouldn't be expected to pay $300 a wheel. I understand they were replaced at no charge on cadillacs.this is not our first buick.i've owned gm's since 1976.i've had similar wheels on several of the vehicles and never had a problem even though the cars had higher miles and were older.
I keep getting an error message that my air bags are not working i take my car in and they say my air bags are "bad".the seats heaters/coolers stopped working about 6 months ago i checked into getting them fix and it is going to cost a lot of money.now i went to put air in my tires and i am getting an error message to have my systems for my tires checked.this is the third time the tire gage has been broken.
On this date i had to take the car to trio tire, the local auto repair store to correct a flat tire.after several tests, i was told it was a rim flat due to the deterioration of the chrome wheels on the car.a bead sealer was made on the rim to seal the tire.on 12/23/10, mileage was 37415,another rim flat was repaired at the burns buick.all four tires were resealed.i was told at that time this was a constant problem with the same chrome wheels, but there was no recall.the problem continued and on 6/20/2013 i replaced all four tires with new michelin p235/55r17 which matched the original tires for this car.on 6/30/2014 trio tire had to remove "heavy corrosion on right rear rim" and recommend replacing rims as they deteriorated substantially.the cost of new rims is prohibitive and does not dismiss the same events occurring again.within 2 1/2 years my rims have dissolved causing a potential hazard while driving at any speed.i request you investigate these poorly made rims and declare a recall before someone dies.
This vehicle has defective chrome peeling wheels and has a track record of this reported all over the internet. Not only is it a defect but a safety issue as the chrome flaking off cuts like a razor as i found out my self cleaning the vehicle
Have had repeated issues w/dash warning light saying right front tire pressure low. Just came from tire shop. They told me them chrome is peeling on the inside of the rim causing a poor seal at the bead. From what i am seeing on different sites, this is not an single isolated incident. Tire shop also said wheels similar to mine were recalled on cadillac models.
The contact owns a 2007 buick lucerne.while parked, he noticed the "check right front tire"warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. After inserting air into the tire the warning indicatorturned off.the vehicle was taken to a tire shop on two separate occasions for the identical failures.the technician stated the failure was contributed to the aluminum chrome wheels equipped on the vehicle.the aluminum chrome was peeling from the wheel while causing gradual air pressure loss in the tire.the front passenger wheel was replaced. The front driver wheel exhibited the identical defect.the failure and current mileages were unknown.the vin was unavailable.
The wiper pump stopped working out of no where and the tires keep losing air in them.
Chrome wheels become defective when chrome starts to flake causing tire not besealed properly with rim causing tire pressure to leak and tire to go flat if not reinflated .i have never ad this problem with any other car i've owned and feel m should replace as they are defective.
The contact owns a 2007 buick lucerne. The contact stated that while driving or parked, the front passenger and rear driver side tires would not maintain air. After air was added to both tires, they would become flat. The contact had to put air in the tires daily. The contact had new tires installed on the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rims needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,000. The vin was not available.
