(approximate date 4/1/14).i took the car back to the dealership around 4/10and had the service manager sit in the passenger seat and the passenger air bag light indicated that the air bag was "off".to repair this problem, they replaced the passenger seat (installed 20861568 n-module kit (14865-b) and replaced passenger presence module.

I was driving the 2010 buick lacrosse in rush hour on a very busy street in our town and while stopped an electrical malfunction occurred where all of the dash board lights and warning lights started flashing and the car would not move.i put it in park and then it would not come out of park and went into anti theft lock down.i made several attempts to turn off the car and restart it to try and reset of clear the issue and it remained locked down and not able to move. It was very strange how the key in the ignition was vibrating and buzzing at a high frequency and they would stop. After a few minutes the engine shut down.now stuck in the middle of the busy road and cars nearly rear ending me and honking at me i thought i would be hit.my son was in the car and i had to wait for the light change to let him flee to safety.worse yes the safety flashers would not work and the trunk would not open to signal a stalled car.i called on star and they were not helpful as i indicated it was an emergency and they sent a tow truck that arrived an hour later.the police showed up 20 minutes later to protect me and the car from accident.the police called a tow truck that arrived in 15 minutes.the car was towed to the dealer and they are being generally non responsive.i had this problem a few weeks before not in traffic and took into the dealer and they said there did not find an error code.this is a complete random failure and represents a serious safety issue.

Three days ago, while on a trip from the west coast of florida to the east coast of florida; and while driving on the highway at 65 mph, the warning bells started dinging and the messages: service stabilitrak, abs, and park assist off kept flashing off and on; the car began jerking and losing engine power; the tachometer, speedometer, and temperature gauges were jumping around all over the place; and the check engine light came on. (a video of what occurred was taken to show as proof). I managed to pull off the side of the road, turned the car off and sat for several minutes, then started the car again.less than a minute after i got back on the highway, the same events occurred again.after at least 30 minutes or more of the car continuing to malfunction while driving; it suddenly stopped giving me warning signals and engine power seemed to stabilize; however, the check engine light remained on.once i reached my destination, i didn't use the car for two days.my return trip home, which was approximately 140 miles, was uneventful; however, the very next morning on my way to work, while sitting in traffic on the expressway, the warning bells suddenly started ringing again, and the service stabilitrak and abs lights came on.fortunately i was able to make it to work and called the buick dealer to bring my car in to have it checked.in the past few months, this problem has occurred 3 to 4 times, but each time only lasted moments and never to the extreme that it did .i received a letter from buick about 3 months ago that pertained to such issues and loss of engine power; and the letter stated that the car should be taken to the buick dealer and repaired at no cost.this is an extremely dangerous problem that needs to be addressed and resolved immediately.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse.while drivingapproximately 65 mph the vehicle suddenly decelerated and all of the warning lights on the instrument panel began flashing erratically. The door locks also began to lock and unlock rapidly; however, the vehicle began to function normally on its own. The vehicle was taken to the dealer previously for diagnostic testing because it would not start and the body module was replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000. Updated 09/21/2011 *ln
I purchased a buick lacrosse in may 2010.i began having issues with the vehicle june 27, 2011.i've had multiple mechanical issues with the car.the electric heater in the seats have gone out 3 times and been repaired and is now not working again.the last repair on the heater in the driver seat was january 2012.on august 1, 2011 the car was towed to the dealership due to the battery leaking acid all over the wires and several other parts. The was kept for almost 10 days.the visor for the moon roof started malfunctioning and had to be repaired.the engine had a knocking sound and i was told that's how he care sounds.the door handle had to be replaced, the car has had ongoing electrical issues and gm has not worked openly and honestly with me.gm has repeatedly told me the care is not eligible to be bout back but will not give a explanation why.i repeatedly requested to speak with a supervisor and was denied opportunity by a gm rep name [xxx] for several weeks. I have repeatedly asked for something in writing and gm refuses to put anything in writing."when i explained that i wanted them to buy the care back due to the ongoing electrical issues and not to just extend the warranty i was told by the gm rep that i was trying to play a all or nothing game and may end up walking away with nothing."after that comment i felt bullied into excepting a offer of two car payments and a extension of the warranty to 45,000 additional miles.i later withdrew my acceptance of the offer due to the seats malfunctioning again and feeling as though i was forced to take the offer with the gm rep denying me the ability to speak with a supervisor for weeks and making the statement that he made during a conference on 2/24/12.this is the second gm vehicle that i bought in the past 4 yrs that had electrical issues.my 07 saturn aura had electricalissues lost $9000. While driving city streets in a snow storm, i was unable to defrost the rear window and melt the snow off of the heated side view mirrors.i literally couldn't see anything behind or next to me.when i press the defroster button the light indicates that it's on but nothing happens.there were no warning indicators illuminated. I took the vehicle into the dealership twice for this problem and they said that both the rear window defogger and heated mirrors work off the same button and needed to be reprogrammed - but it never seems to work when i truly need it.
The battery goes dead.when it was taken to the dealer, we were told that we did not drive enough.the second incident occurred in 12/2010.this time there were 21 low voltage hits when the dealership was troubleshooting.i also submitted a complaint to gm.it appears that their solution is to place a trickle charge on the battery to ensure the battery is at full capacity. I am in the process of purchasing a solar powered battery charge at this time.in order for my wife to drive this vehicle, she will always have to deal with the charger.to have this problem on a state of the art automobile is extremely frustrating.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. While driving 60 mph, the engine caught fire without warning. The fire department was notified, but the vehicle was no longer on fire when they arrived. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. Updated 12/30/15*lj
Everything i turn the car on; its saying "ac turned off due to high engine temperature and my car isn't running hot and my ac semi working. Electrical systems isn't working properly because i can't turn my radio or ac on
Approximately two months after purchasing a buick lacrosse i started to experience the vehicle shutting down when the car was parked or idle. Shortly after the check engine light came on. I then took the vehicle to the dealer and they claim they could not find anything wrong with it. I decided to get a second opinion so i took the vehicle to another certied repair shop and they suggested that i get and upper engine flush. Supposedly because this type of vehicle is known for massive amounts of carbon build up. So, i got the upper engine flush on my vehicle but the very next day the check engine light came on again. The.machanic advised me that it would take more than one engine flush to fix the problem. So after not two but three upper engine flushes the problem of having the check engine light intermittently display is notresolved . No one can seem to find a diagnosis for my vehicle problems not even the dealer. Most recently, the dash board display light periodically goes out, and an unfamiliar noise is coming from the driver's front tire. Once again, i have taken my vehicle to a certified machanic and the issue is not detectable.
The battery is dead. So i can get into the car at all..not even to jump it or take it to the dealer..now i have to get it towed..and getout of work to do it.
Driving at nite to er and on way i thought i must have hit ignition button but car just locked up lost all power. I called gm they got back to me said they would be sending someone to see car. I did reck car not to bad but bad enough to take hole front bumper off. I am so mad because i thought i was crazy thinking car would just loos all power and even locked me in car could not open door thank god window was down. But they said they were coming to see me and car but never did
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the electrical system failed without warning. The vehicle resumed normal operation when it was restarted. The failure occurred twice. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
My buick lacrosse was handling just fine until i put a heavy piece of luggage into the trunk. I got back in the car and it wouldn't start. A message was on my dashboard saying there was a power steering problem. I was at the airport, so a tow truck driver was on the scene within minutes. The tow truck driver jumped my car. He handed me the trim cover that covers the battery. I'm not sure if he took it off, or whether it came off when i put the heavy suitcase in the trunk. I put the trim cover in the back of my car and drove off. The car then stalled when i put it in reverse to back into the driveway. It wouldn't start again, so i jumped it. It worked and i drove to my mechanic. Mechanic said my battery was fine. They checked the error messages. They couldn't figure out what was wrong so they sent me to a dealer. The dealercouldn't figure out what was wrong and said to come back if it happens again. For about two months the car would randomly not start or stall. Several days could go by with it working just fine.at first, when it stalled it was only when i had just started the car or put it in reverse. But then the vehicle stalled while i was driving on the interstate, at the top of a long hill, in a construction zone. I was able to coast down a half mile or so until i arrived at an emergency pull off zone. The power steering went out so the steering wheel was tight but workable. After pulling over, i tried starting the car again but it didn't work. I had a self jump start kit, and was able to jump the car again. It started back up and seemed like nothing was wrong. But about five minutes later it stalled again. Fortunately, i was by another emergency pull off. At this point, i put the trim cover back on the battery. And the car has worked fine for several months. The car should not start and then randomly stall if the trim cover is off.
Took my car in for regular service, my wife drove it home, the car died after 8 miles.sheslowed for stop light, car suddenly died.electrical system went crazy, car lost power, died.i backtracked to help,.i tried starting the carbut didn't have any compression.i called dealer, they sent toll truck.according to them, they checked it, drove it a few times, said couldn't find anything wrong, called gm for help.the dealer's service rep said gm told them heard of similar incidents in lacrosse. Gm recommended they apply lubricant cables connecting to ecm. Did so. Had 3 people test drive car, said operating fine. Received call from dealer stating problem corrected, car good to go.picked upcar in company mechanic friend.rep explained what they did, checked all electrical circuits, breakers, connections, etc and everything appeared to be working fine.told him that my wife didn't feel safe driving the car now because of incident and he said car should be fine for at least5 years.i asked what if fix ididn't work?he said that it would probably require a new ecm.well, car died again yesterday, april 4, about 1:30 pm while driving with my wife to our son's house.was going about 40 miles/hr after exiting highway, car starting stalling, jerking and all of the console lights were going crazy.check engine light went on,a service stability track warning and the key symbol appeared on center console, it died completely.tried restarting it but it wouldn't.waited for traffic to pass, then i rolled car backwards toward the curb to get out of traffic lanes.i waited a few minutes and then started the cart again.i went a few hundred feet, then it died again.i did this 3 more times until getting to my son's house where i was able to park it.i called the dealership about 20 minutes later, the service department had already closed.
I have taken my car to several shops in regards to my headlight and no one can figure it out. One headlight in out which are my low beams. The entire car has been rewired and still doesn't work. It pops on and off when it wants to but still the low beam headlight does not work.
Was driving down the interstate and everything in the dash flashed like when you first start the car.i didn't want to take my eyes off the road, but i think even the speed dial went down and up, again like when the car starts up.then the little information window in front of the steering wheel window flashed several things including "three keys programmed" and then it stayed on "tire monitor on" or something like that.it had previously been on the mph setting, so i had to roll it back to the mph setting.the car itself drove fine, but i was scared it would do something bizarre and i was in heavy traffic.it was like it rebooted itself.
This vehicle has been in the shop at mckinney buick gmc, and gateway buick gmc. The battery was the first thing to go, it was replaced under warranty. The second item to go was the alternator, it was replaced under warranty. The windshield washer tank cracked, was a recall, it was replaced. The steering column went out totally, because of the tilt lever, it was replaced under warranty. The rear wheel hubs went out, they were replaced under warranty. The a/c compressor went out this last summer 2013, it was replace under extended warranty, i purchased. Now the heater control switch, or something just went out with the system, because the fan has quit working. So now i'll have to spend another 300.00 dollars are so to get the vehicle fixed. This car has been a lemon, i bought it certified used, from lone star buick gmc, when they were in transition to mckinney buick gmc, i have had nothing but problems with this model. Owned two buick century's prior to this vehicle, very reliable, replaced a blower motor in my 1999 buick c, and a battery in my 2004 buick c. Unlike this piece of crap 2010 buick lemon nightmare.could you possibly help me out with this problem. This vehicle showed via car fax report to have been in the shop six times prior my purchase. It only had about 16500 miles on it, when i purchased it in may of 2011.

2010 buick lucerne rear fuse block malfunctioned and caught fire
Over the past several months, while driving, the service stabilitrak warning light comes on; the abs & park assist lights flash on and off; my rpm, speedometer, & temperature gauges go haywire; and the engine loses power causing the car to jerk. I never know when this will happen. On 3/18/16, i was put in a dangerous situation when this happened while driving across the state of florida on a 2 lane highway that had no safe place to pull off the road. The check engine light also came on and stayed on thru the rest of my drive. Two days later, the drive home was incident free & the check engine light was gone. On 3/22/16 i took the car to a gm dealer; showed the service tech a video of the events happening as i was driving and a letter i got from gm regarding a possible throttle sensor problem that causes reduced power and malfunction indicator lamps to appear. The gm dealer tech said my cars problems had nothing to do with gm's letter and he was 90% sure my fuel injector needed replacing. I took the car to my personal auto mechanic for 10+ yrs, who works for a very reputable company, for a second opinion. Since the codes had been cleared by the dealership service dept and the car checked out ok my mechanic said to drive it and bring it back if the problems occurred again. It recently started happening again & my check engine light came on so i took the car to my mechanic who found multiple codes for ecm & tcm lost communication pcm malfunction & other communication issues.he drove the car and experienced what i was explaining was happening. My mechanic couldn't pinpoint the problem but said there was no problem with the fuel injection system; that it's electrical. He suggested we take the car to another buick dealer to have it checked out. This is a very dangerous situation & i don't feel safe driving the car since i never know when the problems will start happening.
I was traveling on the highway at 5:30am with minimal traffic.while traveling at 66mph, i put the car into cruise control.then i pulled my foot off the gas pedal that placed it flat footed with me leg towards the seat.i am a short person.i have 3 house keys on a ring attached to the car key.i felt my knee touch the dangling keys.at that moment, the electrical system and car shut down.i had no power brakes orno power steering, etc.i was in the lane closest to the breakdown lane.i was able get the car into the breakdown lane and cost to a stop. (fortunately no traffic passed me until i finally stopped.)the ignition key and switch was in the on position when i stopped.i was able to restart the car byplacing the car in park and restarting the car.i brought the car to the dealership.they looked at the car and found no error codes.they could not duplicate my problem.they told me i must have shut off the ignition switch with my knee.i attempted to do this an cannot turn the key off with my knee.i addition, my knee does not reach the switch without lifting it up at least a couple inches.i only brushed the bottom of the dangling house keys.2010 should be included in the recall!!!
I moved my car out of the driveway so my neighbor could plow. He said he smelled something while i was in my car across from our driveway. I put the vehicle in park, pushed shut off/turn off button, vehicle instantaneously filled with dark rolls of smoke coming from the passenger side from the front of the vehicle under the hood. I grabbed the door handle jumped out. My neighbor came running telling me to disengage the hood, i complied. Flames shot up and out from under the hood as it was being released. He threw a lot of snow on the fire extinguishing it. We inhaled the most obnoxious fumes from any automobile i have had the displeasure of having in my company. Car will not start. After this, my husband came out to see what all the yelling was about. My neighbor explained it to him and he unhooked the battery. The car is still parked at the scene of the fire. Today is 2/22/2014 and no insurance adjuster has been here yet. Our town fire department was called and the fire chief assistant came the very day incident occurred and filled out a form, i contacted buick and i have a claim number and am awaiting further contact from them. Our town highway department placed cones around my vehicle.
I was driving on the 99 freeway when my car turned completely off!i could have been killed!!!!! the check engine light came on and service stabilitrak was on the screen.then it would not start.there was no warning at all.i got it fixed (so i thought by one mechanic) and it happened again.so i took it to the buick dealer and they fixed it(so i thought) and it happened again.it is now at the buick dealership and they told me it is the control module on the computer and quoted me 996 dollars!!!! i looked up online and found that other people have had the same problem with their 2010 buick lacrosse.seems to be a manufacturers defect and needs to be reported and recalled.
Over the two years, while driving, the service stabilitrak warning light comes on; the abs & park assist lights flash on and off; my rpm, speedometer, & temperature gauges go haywire; and the engine loses power causing the car to jerk. This happens while the vehicle is in motion at various speeds.you never know when this will happen. I have been put in dangerous situations when this happens while driving including on side streets and major highways. The check engine light also comes on and stays on throughout the rest of my drive. You can go sometimes weeks or months incident free and with no check engine light on.then out of nowhere it happens again.i have taken my car to the dave sinclair buick / gm dealer located in st. Louis, missouri on 4 separate occasions over the last 2 years for the same issue yet to no avail it is still not fixed.the dealer's tech said my cars problem is almost certainly electrical.so far they have found multiple codes for ecm (they replaced at my cost) & tcm lost communication pcm malfunction & other communication issues (they reprogrammed). They have driven the car and have duplicated the issues but to this point have not been able topinpoint the problem but said that it's electrical. I contacted buick and chatted with an advisor (a copy was uploaded) who basically told me there is nothing that they can do.a quick search of the internet will show several other buick owners experiencing the same issue as i describe. This is a very dangerous situation & i don't feel safe driving the car since i never know when the car will suddenly lose power, thus causing an accident.
I moved my car out of the driveway so my neighbor could plow our driveway. He said he smelled something. I parked the car across from our driveway put it in park, pushed the button to shut the car off, as my vehicle filled with smoke, i grabbed the door handle and jumped out. He threw a lot of snow on the fire to extinguish the flame. We inhaled fumes. Car will not start.after this, my husband came out and my neighbor explained and my husband unhooked battery.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse.while driving, the contact stated that the speedometer and fuel gauge would fluctuate and she was unable to determine how fast or slow she was traveling or how much gasoline was actually in the vehicle.she also noticed that the service stability track and service rear axle indicator lights would illuminate on the instrument panel.the dealer made six attempts to duplicate the failure.the manufacturer was aware of the failure. No repairs were performed. The current mileage was 23,438. The approximate failure mileage was 1,006.
As im traveling to my mothers house on august 27 2017 my engine just completely shuts down and wouldn't start back up. The same week it was having problems starting or wouldn't turn over to start. My daughter drove my car to o'realiysauto part store to get something for her car, get in to leave and it wouldn't start. A mechanic from the store hooked it to the diagnostic machine and it read a delay in the start up. He start moving a couple of wires on the starter to see if that would help and it did. He told my daughter don't cut it off until you get home because he may do it again and suggested i put a new starter on it. I took his advice and bought one and had it installed the same day. When done it started with no problems and the next day while driving is when the engine shuts down while driving. I looked on the internet for problems with a 2010 buick lacross and i was shocked that people were having the same issues with their buicks. This is very dangerous and is a serous matter. Someone or a whole family could be killed because their buick has an manufacturing problem and buick is doing nothing about it. I am aboustley scared to drive this car with my family after reading many people problems like mine. Please help!
The contact owns 2010 buick lacrosse. When the contact drove in reverse he noticed that the back up sensor indicator was a defective. Takata recall purchased used in may 2015 with approx. 45k miles. Since i have purchased the car, i took it to a dealership in kokomo in to have it looked at for the park assist. What happens is when i am driving down the highway, usually with the cruise control on, going 60+ down the highway, the park assist comes on, all the lights on the dashboard flash and all the sounds go off in the car immediately disabling the car. At that point, the car disables itself and you cannot push the accelerator, making it difficult to get off the highway. You have to immediately pull off the highway and turn the car off. After waiting a few minutes, you can start the car up and the engine light will be displayed. The engine light will stay on until the next time you start the car and then goes off. Over the last year, i have had this happen approximately 20 times. The dealership in kokomo couldn't find anything wrong with it and they stated they cannot try to find something wrong with the car if it isn't happening when i bring in the car. I moved to tennessee the first of january 2016. It has happened to me since living here again so i took the car into parks auto service in columbia tn. After having my car for 2 1/2 weeks, they are unable to find out what is wrong with it. I have been very fortunate thus far to not get into a bad wreck losing my life or crashing into someone else and killing them. At some point, this will cause a major wreck and lives could possibly be lost or someone could possibly be disabled the rest of my life. At what point does this have to happen before buick will find an answer for this? i need help on this as there are no mechanics that can resolve this issue.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that the inner connectors had been prematurely burning and created a short with the lighting fixture. As a result, the driver side head lamp assembly failed to work. The dealer repaired the connector in august of 2014, but the failure recurred. The dealer stated that the contact would need to schedule a repair and that there was no manufacturer recall to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no immediate solution. The failure mileage was not available.

The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.the approximate failure mileage was 50,076.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse.the contact was driving approximately 55 mph as he attempted to locate the dashboard dimmer switch. As the contact reached around the steering column, he inadvertently engaged the push to start button and the vehicle shut off while still in motion. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle yet the shift to park warning message was illuminated. The contact then shifted into neutral and depressed the push to start button three times before the vehicle began to operate as normal.the vehicle was not taken to be examined for the cause of failure and was not repaired.the failure and current mileage was 12,000.
I have taken my car to several shops in regards to my headlight and no one can figure it out. One headlight in out which are my low beams. The entire car has been rewired and still doesn't work. It pops on and off when it wants to but still the low beam headlight does not work.
This is a hazardous issue. I can be driving and the car stalls out engine reduce, traction light comes on, and everything starts to act up. The heat stops working as well
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds, the electronic stability control warning light illuminated intermittently. The contact also stated that there was an abnormal odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to taylor chevrolet (13801 telegraph rd, taylor, mi 48180 (734) 250-6220) to be diagnosed however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 59,500.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the stability warning light illuminated. The vehicle began to shake violently and the vehicle decelerated independently. The contact powered off the engine and once restarted, the vehicle operated normally for approximately 5 miles before the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis where the contact was informed that a harness and sensor would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but before the contact left the dealer, the failure recurred. The dealer then stated that a module would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vin was unavailable. The failure and current mileage was 87,000.
While driving the brake will suddenly grip tire, and the traction control light will come on.this happens on dry roads.the car was taken to winner chevrolet who thought they fixed it, as soon as i left the dealer it did it again.after 7 days of trying to figure out the problem i was told to take it to a buick dealer.reliable buick of roseville had the car for 9 days, they were consulting with buick techs, thought they finally fixed it, brought it home yesterday and it just did it again.i've noticed a lot of people are having this problem and also there are recalls on 2012 buick lacrosse for this.recall #11222.something needs to be done before someone gets in an accident.
I was driving on a two-lane country road. To avoid a dead animal in the road (possibly woodchuck), i swerved hard left at which time the vehicle began to shake violently, so much so i thought it would roll over.the car bounces at every little bump, pulls sharply right when braking, wobbles at the slightest excuse, and is very unstable. There is a kerplunk noise at the smallest road indentation (which may be because an odd tire was put on the car).it is very hard to see vehicles passing on the right because of the large headrests, huge mirror and post between doors.not a safe car!please avoid this car.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. While driving various speeds, the brake and stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician recommended that the vehicle be restarted when the warning indicators illuminated. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the service stabilitrak needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred months later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
I had just left the highway and was coasting around 35 mph when my check engine light came on and my parking assist light flashed and the car slowed to almost a complete stop. I was able to pull to the side and restart it. I attempted to bring it in to 2 different dealerships but i was told they were booked solid (stationed in hawaii). Apparently it was not a big enough deal for them to take a look before next week. I have read so many complaints about the same thing, why isn't a recall out yet? someone could die. What does it take to get a lawsuit going?
The first time i took car in a soechting motors buick dealer for stabilitrac came up and then the check engine light came on.the replaced lt ft speed sensor and told me that they could not fine why the engine light was on.last week i'm getting same problem with the stabilitrac and yellow/orange slippery light came on.

On 1/22/2020 when i was driving down the road my stabilitrac light came on causing my car to slow down to 25 mph. Wouldn't go faster than that..i took the battery cables off for about 20 min. And the stabilitrac light came off so i drove the care home and right before i got home it came on again. Also in 1/20/2020my left headlight. Does not work. I put a knew light bulb on and it worked for a few days and it went out again.
Warning lights on dashboard randomly coming on and off. Including power steering light, check engine light , service stability light. Vehicle when first turns on shakes and vibrates then goes to normal after a few minutes. No low fluids or problems found from certified gm service
The "abs light" has been coming on for the past several years.the air conditioner has not been working efficiently for the past 3 years.i have taken it to the dealer and they consistently state nothing is wrong.
While driving along vehicle will pop up with service stabilitrack and the parking brake light will flash on and off and car will jerk for about a minute then goes along but light won't stay on long enough to get checked
Service stabilitrak warning comes on as soon as wheels are turned after starting vehicle. This happens both when car is stationary or in motion. This started out happening very occasionally, but now happens every time vehicle is driven. I can drive several blocks straight on without the warning, but as soon as the wheels are turned, the warning message comes on, abs and traction control are automatically turned off. I purchased the vehicle used at 70k miles, this started about 2 mos after purchase. I have been told by dealerships this is a defect in the wiring harness to the front wheels in this vehicle, that it's a "known issue", and is about $500 per wheel to fix. If this is a known issue, then why hasn't buick issued a recall? i have read many forums online where people are complaining about this issue. Not sure why they aren't reporting it to nhtsa!!! this could cause alot of accidents if the abs and traction control are turned off! attached photo was taken with vehicle sitting still in driveway, just started, no messages, turned steering wheel and the warning lights then lit up on dashboard, traction control and abs turned off (as indicated by lights).
Service stability light comes on. Car made a slight grinding noise when turning right seconds before warning light came on this has happened more than one time. Service stability warning stays on until car is turned off.talked with service manager at dealership. He says it could be a number of things. I am unsure if it is safe to continue to drive car.
Abs braking and stabilitrac service lights came on and both systems failed on ice covered road.vehicle slid off road into snow pile.no injuries or damage.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the stability control warning light illuminated and the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated that the stability control sensor would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The technician then stated that the stability control module would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
This is a reoccurring issue with the car shutting off completly while driving or loss of engine power.
The first time i took car in a soechting motors buick dealer for stabilitrac came up and then the check engine light came on.the replaced lt ft speed sensor and told me that they could not fine why the engine light was on.last week i'm getting same problem with the stabilitrac and yellow/orange slippery light came on.
I was getting on the on ramp for the interstate and gradually attempting to gaining speed to but my vehicle would not pick up speed.i pressed the gas pedal to the floor with no pick up. Then all of a sudden my vehicle began to pick up speed. When the vehicle got up to approximately 60 mph it began to do the same thing again i had the accelerater pedal to the floor. I could here the vehicle idling and after some time had passed it began to pick up speed again. I've had my vehicle for four years and have keptup with the maintenance at the dealer ship. I have paid for diagnostics several times at the dealership to no avail. I took it to the dealer but they found nothing wrong with it. I have taken it more than 5 times in an attempt to rectify the problem with no success. It's not a constant thing, however it is quite dangerous as well as unsettling not knowing when or where my safety may be comprised in this vehicle. This is my second buick lacrosse which has had problems of this nature. I was hoping my problems with my 2005 buick lacrosse was an isolated incident but i'm beginning to think perhaps it wasn't. Maybe this can all be attributed to just poor workmanship with inferior product manufacturing.
While driving, the engine shuts down and restarts.at the same time, all four door locks unlock and lock.in most cases, the issue happens once and does not reappear for that trip.the worst can have it do this at least three times.once, i did notice an alert message appears on my console that disappeared as soon as it happened.this instances appear not to be as bad, since i had the battery replaced (shortly after this issue appeared, the battery went from being a "good" battery, to a dead one.nevertheless, these issues do happen on a periodic basis.

The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the engine warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel until the engine was turned off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated rodents chewed through the oxygen 2 sensor wire. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem who did not offer any assistance since the failure was not cover under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

Engine failed to turnover intermittently five times over a four month period.returned to the buick dealer four times who claimed to fix the problem 4 times.it is currently in the dealer repair shop for further diagnosis and repair.this is a dangerous situation for a 72 year old women who is left stranded with the car engine dead and not turning over depending on the neighborhood and time of the day or night when this intermittent problem occurs.the car will generally start most of the time and then goes dead without turning over and after many attempts it sometimes will turnover and start.
Gm 3.6 l vvt timing chain issuei was driving our '10 buick lacrosse (with 65,340 mi) one evening and the car's front end began to shake and the engine started to power down, and did so for about 5-10 seconds. It then ran normal for about 75 yards and the display showedlow engine power message with the exclamation point. I pulled off on a side street and shut the vehicle off. I tried to restart it, but it would not fire. I had it towed to a local dealership and was told the next day that i needed a new motor that would run $6800. I had the vehicle towed back home and while calling around to different dealerships for engine quotes, i found a dealership that asked me if they could take a look at it. I told them what happened and thy right away said it did not sound like my engine needed to be replaced. They towed the vehicle to their dealership and discovered the timing chain needed to be replaced and that when it broke, it damaged the rear valves and one of the heads. The total cost was about $3250. I called gm customer care and they will not offer any help on the repairs.
Engine quit causing brakes and steering to become inoperative. This is the 5th time this has happened. I have previously reported this to nhtsa and general motors.i never received a response from gm. I took the vehicle to my dealer and the only thing they did was reprogram the vehicle but apparently it did no good. I think the problem is in the ignition system.
The contact owned a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that moments after parking the vehicle in a garage, the front end caught on fire. The contact also stated that the fire burned down her home before the fire department could extinguish it. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle had not been inspected to determine what caused the fire. The failure and current mileages were 36,000.

I was driving on the freeway this morning doing about 60mph in traffic and all of a sudden my car lost power. The dash or the dic went completely blank, but not before all of the chimes, and the caution alerts appearing and then i started to loose speed. Fortunately i was able to pull off to the side of the freeway. At that point i put the car in park after aminute i restarted it and continued to drive to work. This same incident occurred back in november of 2014. Coincidently i was on the freeway then too. But when i called the dealership back in november when this first happened they informed me that there was nothing that they could do unless i was able to recreate the issue. But of course i can't recreate the issue and now four months later it's happening again. I don't understand why there has not been a recall for this. Especially considering i have read other complaints for the same reason.

Timing chain failure @ 78263 miles.vehicle displayed engine trouble light and was still drivable.was told it would have stopped without repairs.contacted local dealer and buick customer service and both entities denied assistance with timing chain replacement due to vehicle out of warranty.i referenced tsb 11340a where gm extended warranty coverage to other models with timing chain issues, but not the 2010 lacrosse, in my communications with them.i appealed to gm president and the state consumer affairs division where i live.gm has closed the file on my case though i asked for confirmation that the supplier of the engine in the 2010 lacrosse was not the same as in the engines of the vehicles referenced in the tsn 11340a.

When i purchased this vehicle with the powertrain warranty still intact i had the check engine light come on several times.took it to the dealer and they said it was nothing and had it reset.over the past few years i have had it come on more frequently since then and now it has been on for over a year.with frustrating amounts of time spent to try to determine what the issue is i finally found out the timing chain and seals need to be replaced.one of the symptoms is that the oil in my car is not being distributed properly.this would also be one of the reasons i have had to add oil before every 3000 mile oil change because all of a sudden my car will start running hard and acceleration is harder. Many times i would only put 1500 miles on my car and my oil wold be bone dry. Put oil in and it gets better.if i wouldnt have have caught this my engine would surely have been blown.so now 3 years later i am stuck with this issue which should have been found while under warranty as all the same issues were occurring then and now.i cant seem to access my buick account online surprisingly but it did have all my service records proving my attempts with them.this is not the only issue,i know that the same vehicle just with a samller engine has been recalled for the same thing.why not the bigger engine? i now have a $2000 repair to make not including the several hundred it took to determine the issue. Something should be done about this issue that is happening in buicks of this age and newer because it is happening alot.i have many service receipts showing the process of this and also the diagnosis today and theone i will be getting tomorrow to confirm and will be glad to forward on to you if needed.
I moved my car out of the driveway so my neighbor could plow our driveway. He said he smelled something. I parked the car across from our driveway put it in park, pushed the button to shut the car off, as my vehicle filled with smoke, i grabbed the door handle and jumped out. My neighbor ran to my vehicle telling me to disengage the hood, i complied. Flames jumped up and out from the passenger side of the car under the hood. He threw a lot of snow on the fire to extinguish the flame. We inhaled fumes. Car will not start.after this, my husband came out and my neighbor explained and my husband unhooked battery.

While driving or sitting all the instrument panel/dash and headlight/daytime driving lights intermittently either flash off and on or shut off for several seconds and come back on. This problem has built up over time and the radio has also started to also intermittently turn off and on conjunction with all the lighting.this seems to occur when ever there is some kind of quick draw of electrical power, such as braking, downshifting of transmission to accelerate, turning on defrosters, or simply while driving. This power loss also affects the cruise control and when power loss occurs it will disengage. This disturbingly occurs while driving at night and power loss to instrument panel/dash and headlight leaves me in complete darkness for several moments at time. I have not idea how fast i'm going of if the road is still in front of me. I notice an issue with the previous body style of lacrosse but not mine. If the battery is disconnected for several hours some thing or some program is reset and the issue will stop for roughly two weeks and then start back up, but so far the issue seems to intensify up restarting after the battery is disconnected. The drivetrain is not affected by the power loss and will continue to operate during the illumination and instrumentation loss.the issue does seem to repeat more frequently when in town with the constant acceleration and braking. On the interstate the issue will occurs intermittently while cruising and when accelerating or braking and if some device is activated such as defrosters, turn signals, or air conditioning. With the intermittent and so far short nature of the power loss, i'm not able to ascertain if any other systems are being affected as of yet. The problem resembles alternator or battery failure, but both were replaced at the onset over a year ago. Videos of the cluster are available but too large to attach.

I have an 2010 buick lacrosse cxl i've had for 8years within those years i've replaced the catalytic converter 2x which is pretty pricey considering theirs 3parts. This recent time it was replaced there was gas in the oil. My mechanic states it because of the high pressure fuel pump. Which i feel should be replaced by buick there's no way i should be changing a converter this often.
I noted the exact same problem reported on the nhtsa site for this same make and model of car.it's included under the heading vehicle speed control.ijust purchased this car in the past month and now notice that each time i try to move my foot from the foot feed to the brake pedal my foot catches on the side of the brake pedal.it seems to me to be an obvious safety risk in that it takes another movement of my foot to get it on the brake pedal slowing my response to brake. I fear that if i need to stop quickly, i will either miss the brake pedal or will have a delay in reaching it which could cause a serious accident if braking quickly is necessary to avoid a crash.this happens every time i move my foot from the foot feed to the brake pedal!

While driving on busy freeway 2010 buick lacrosse loss all power, wouldn't accelerate, couldn't do anything besides panic and coast off freeway to meridian, very unsafe and scary situation.but i was told it was a module switch that didn't tell the transmission what to do.but a new transmission was replace prior to that incident and still having problem afraid to drive car, it might shut down again while driving just feel unsafe to drive the car, im terrify of what would happen next.
Today, while driving my 2010 buick lacrosse on atl highway 75 south, my car's transmission stopped working.i could not accelerate and had to coast off the freeway.the car stopped moving as i rolled into a driveway.it would not go any further.also, when i first purchased the vehicle, the dealership repaired wiring from the transmission pump and replaced the defective pump because the steering was loose and sloppy, and everytime i made a left turn, the car made a loud noise.also, the passenger side lock jammed and would not open.

On friday, july 1, 2016 i was traveling down a 2 lane road with my cruise control set when my car suffered a loss of power. The engine still was running, but apparently my transmission lost the ability to power the car. I was able to park on the shoulder of the road, and eventually, towed to my mechanics shop.yesterday i was told the problem was a faulty transmission control and it will cost me $1060 to repair. I was also told that this is a common enough problem that buick dealers keep the part in stock.. If it is that common of a problem, and cars are losing power on the road, that is a safety issue and should be subject to recall, instead of taking hard earned money out of owners pockets to fix! i might add that this car has less than 68,000 miles on it!
This is a reoccurring issue with the car shutting off completly while driving or loss of engine power.

The transmission does forceful jerkingwhile going 30-35 mph. Also was told that it was normal as gm designed the transmission this way. I find that hard to believe.
I filed a complaint on 13 september 2010 under odi id number : 10355399.i have recently learned, from the buick service representative at hennessey buick, that the mechanic took the transmission apart and what he found was that the 'reverse belt' fell off, disabling the vehicle.the service rep indicated that he had not heard of this happening before.

I haven't had and accident, but i notice when i put on brakes going down hill the front end was shaking, just had car service and check out and i was inform that everything was a okay their did a front end alignment is there a recall on brakes problems? this is not the first time this happen.
Premature failure of the antilock braking system due to defective hub bearing.
Went to get my car serviced because i kept hearing a whirring noise during acceleration in the rear of my vehicle. Both rear hub assemblies went, absolutely ridiculous expense for a 2010 buick lacrosse at the "stealership" for $850.00, wow!! crazy because my friend has the same exact car and has the same exact issue. Shouldn't this be on recall already?? would like a response....

Abs braking and stabilitrac service lights came on and both systems failed on ice covered road.vehicle slid off road into snow pile.no injuries or damage.
3/28/14: took car to dealership as my brake pedal was appx. One inch from the floor when depressed while stopping car. Was told brake pads, calipers & brake fluid were all okay. I was advised to monitor...that "condition was due to brake pads wearing & when brake pads wear, the pedal will move further down because pads have to travel farther in to press against the rotors". 5/28/14:returned car to dealership as brake pedal was almost touching the floor when depressed. They determined that my master cylinder had failed...was replaced.
While driving several times the electronic stabilitrak control system engage unexpectedly - while driving at different speeds the brakes engaged, the engine sounded different and traffic behind me had to quickly brake, prior to these incidents the service stabilitrak - so i took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't find anything gave it back to me and hour later it occurred again returned it to dealer again gave back to me took it to another dealer - it's in the shop now since 2/28/13 and i have rental thanks.
Could not press on steering box on left above.engine shut off while taking a right turn drivinga few days after we bought the car. Steering and brakes went. Car shut off in middle of the road on a busy street.car did restart and drive home about one mile.drove the car 2 more times with no problem. Then on day 10 drive car couple miles to store on very busy street; car shut off while driving taking right turn and steering and breaks did not work; almost ran into an oncoming vehicle as car would not steer into store parking lot.turned car in automatic ignition and it started; waived oncoming car; apologized; and car was parked. Drove home without incident.going to call honda dealer that sold me this car, there is recall on 2000-2009 i just researched, but unsure if recall extends to this behicle 2010 model.please contact me if any action or remedy in law i may have. This is very dangerous situation; no one should have to be physically injuredbefore obtaining a fair remedy.car recall should have turned up on car fax done by honda.please contact me regarding recalls on this vehicle.
When garcia buick in santa fe nm drove my car into their shop they said the brake pedal went to the floor and the car almost ran into a wall. They told me the problem was traced to a malfunctioning check valve in the power brake boster pump inlet pipe assembly p/n 20935438.this is a terrible design and a huge saftey problem.the loss of a vacuum assist device should never allow the brake pedal to go to floor and not stop the car.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was haphazardly depressed as the contact attempted to depress the brake pedal. The contact mentioned that the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal were too close in proximity. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut-off as the service power steering message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated she waited approximately 15-20 minutes to restart the vehicle. The vehicle resumed normal operation. The contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics who were unable to duplicate the failure. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 94,400.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle lost all steering ability. As a result, the vehicle spun out of control and crashed into a median. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 73,000.
C-complaint #10315355. I have the same power steering problem. I purchased my 2010 buick lacrosse on dec 5th. 2009 2-weeks later it was making noise while turning. I called the dealership. I was told the car is brand new not to worry, the noise got louder turned out there was no power steering fluids. I took the car back to the dealer and they couldn't find any problem with the car. 3/weeks later i had it towed to the dealership because my power steering locked (no fluids) they replaced my whole power steering rack & pinion. I was told they forgot to sealed the end. I'm still having the same noise and still working with the dealer trying to fixand to find the problem. I agreed 100% about the mirrors same with the gas/brake pedals. My main concern is the power steering.
While driving on highway the engine stopped suddenly and steering wheel was locked.the car had to be towed to repair shop.
Describe what happened vehicle pulls left continuously
I was driving on a two-lane country road. To avoid a dead animal in the road (possibly woodchuck), i swerved hard left at which time the vehicle began to shake violently, so much so i thought it would roll over.the car bounces at every little bump, pulls sharply right when braking, wobbles at the slightest excuse, and is very unstable. There is a kerplunk noise at the smallest road indentation (which may be because an odd tire was put on the car).it is very hard to see vehicles passing on the right because of the large headrests, huge mirror and post between doors.not a safe car!please avoid this car.
Purchased vehicle new as a demo, has been back to the dealership over 5 times and are unable to correct the issue. The issue is a hard pull to the left. It is noticeable at any speed but when it really becomes an issue is at expressway speeds. The vehicle is a safety issue as it will not stay in line and any interruption could case the vehicle to travel in another lane not just a drift in what you would expect but a hard left turn, hopefully nobody is there when it happens.
I bought a 2010 buick lacrosse in december of 2010.i noticed a pull to the left on the way home that very day.i have had this vehicle into the dealership 4 times looking to have this issue resolved.the service department contacted gm tech support, case #[xxx] to see if there has been a report of a steering problem. There had been and they recommended making the camber split higher.after several attempts to remedy this problem, i was told to take the car to a different gm dealer to see if maybe they could find the problem.i drove with the service technician and he said that there have been many 2010 lacrosse and enclave vehicles with the same pull to the left.he had spent alot of time trying to fix the problem.after discussions and test drives with several gm field technicians, the issue remains and i have been told that according to the district field representative, the issue has been documented as a "characteristic of a buick".i hope that gm does not wait for a fatal accident before they take this problem seriously.the pull to the left is very distinct and if you get distracted or even take you hand off the wheel, you will end up in the left lane.the pull seems to be more prevalent when driving on concrete than asphalt.the crown of the road has nothing to do with the pull either.there is a distinct need to apply pressure to the steering wheel in able to keep the car driving straight.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
2010 buick lacrosse. (lawyer on behalf of client) consumer has several defects with vehicle such as back firing, malfunction light, car falls dead in traffic, steering wheel locks *tgw
I was driving out a navy federal bank in augusta georgia and when making a left turn, my steering wheel locked and caused me to crash into a light pole and ruined my entire front end of my vehicle. It locked as if the car wasn't there in motion and as if it was a safety procedure for the steering wheel.
Purchased a brand new 2010 buick lacrosse on 4 december 2009.while driving, noticed that steering wheel had a lot of 'play' in it but thought that it was a part of the steering.while driving, kept hearing a slight 'thumping' noise but, because it was there from the start, i didn't associate it with anything other than car noise.by week three, the car's noise increased.before i reached 1000 miles, the car was very noisy and there was a loudnoise, whenever you would make a left turn.took the vehicle back to dealership for maintenance.at first, the mechanic tried to convince me that it was normal road noise and wanted me to compare the sounds from my vehicle with a similar vehicle.but when the master mechanic and i went out for a ride in my car(with him driving), he made a u-turn to go back to the dealership and the car started whining so loud, he decided that there was no need to compare the two because the noise was total unique to my car.after a couple more hours of research and discussion with buick headquarters, the car was put up on the lift and the mechanics found that, not only did i have a faulty power steering pump, but the cables to the pump where damaged from thumping against the chassis.the pump was replaced a few days later and the cabling was re-done and insulated.there was no accident but i just wanted to get this information on record in case of future complaints.

Lost steering on my 2007 buick lacrosse on the highway while taken a sharp turn the steering would not turn which resulted in a high speed crash.
Warning lights on dashboard randomly coming on and off. Including power steering light, check engine light , service stability light. Vehicle when first turns on shakes and vibrates then goes to normal after a few minutes. No low fluids or problems found from certified gm service
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. The contact stated while driving 35 mph the steering became progressively loose andloud whenever the vehicle made a left turn. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer checked the power steering pump and noticed that it was damaged and that it also had loose wiring from the chassis. The dealer replaced the power steering pump and repaired the loose wiring. The contact has not had a problem with the steering since the repair. The contact also stated that while driving 55 mph he heard a loud bang underneath the vehicle.as a result of the loud bang the vehicle lost all power and the contact coasted to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who stated that the reversal belt on the transmission feel off. The vehicle was being dealer being repaired by the dealer. The contact stated this vehicle is very unsafe to drive. The failure mileage was 18,199.
I purchase a 2010 buick lacrosse 4-30-2010.the car front glass has two blind spot, the a and b pillar. This blind spot prevent the drive from seeing the object from the left front window and the right front window.it appear to be a structure problem.what can i do about that.if not corrected can cause an accident.
Sunroof does not close completely. The part that lifts to slide back, opening the sunroof, no longer closes flush. It also appears that the second glass of the panoramic sunroof has moved forward. It will open but will not close. This malfunction occurs in motion, idle or parked.
Trunk will release without warning. This can happen while driving or at a stop without engine running. It takes several attempts to close completely. The vehicle was parked in my driveway overnight. I found it open in the morning.
The trunk of my vehicle is filling up with water when it rains when it is stationary and moving. When i took a hose to it i started from the moon roof to the back of vehicle and it was filling up with water. The vehicle is in excellent condition.it started in august of 2018
Takata recall i was in an accident on oct 16, 2018.i was on the street sitting at a red light when a vehicle hit me from the rear which made me hit another vehicle and my airbags did not deploy.
Trunk randomly opens whether parked or while driving. This has happened many times.
The trunk releases and pops open on its own. The trunk opens immediately after it is shut. The sequence of close and release happens several times before the trunk remains latched. The occurrences have been when the vehicle is parked idle and with the engine off.
The chrome is peeling off the interior door handle on the drivers front door, causing a razor sharp edge, that cuts my finger. It is a safety hazard that should be addressed
I travel this highway everyday going and coming home. The road crew was working on repairing the road. The tar that they was putting down got on my car. I tried to wash it off but the tar would not come off. So a road crew member told me who to contact. I have been call them for a month now and never got a answer until today 10/25/12 @11:47 a.m.

I started my car and the alert came up service suspension. I carried it to the dealer and of course the light had gone out by then. I tried restarting to see what would happen. The service guy said he had not heard of that happening. About 2 weeks later it happens again, went back to the dealer same situation. The alert still comes on from time to time. It has not caused any accidents or any damage as far as i know.

Key fob with "switch blade" type of key breaks off leaving key stuck in the ignition. I turned the key to start the vehicle and the key snapped. I read on forums this happens with a lot of people.
The boxing of my keys has given out the unlock and trunk and opening the doors the rubber is gone over of the black blocking . I have a 2010 buick lacross i would love have some help with this.
As i was driving down a main route with high traffic travelling approximately 35 mph the car felt as if someone stepped on the brakes twice. The car slowed down abruptly almost to a stop.i pulled over to the side of the road and shut off the vehicle. I was 1/2 mile from my house so i decided to proceed home.i started up the car and slowly drove down the road. Within minutes the brakes automatically applied themselves again slowing the vehicle dramatically. I proceeded to drive to my garage and called the dealership in the morning. They sent a tow truck and towed it to the dealership to repair where it has been since 12/23/10. This is a major safety problem.i will never drive that car again.
Trunk pops open on its on without hitting the button on the remote.

Accelerator stuck when i accelerated to merge in traffic on freeway. I pressed on brakes to slow the vehicle. After i arrived at my destination i placed vehicle in park and slowly pushed on accelerator.i heard a click as the accelerator stuck and the engine revved.
Thesunroof of my2010buick lacross explodedwhile driving on the interstate .
The engine fan would come on after driving the car for a couple days, finally while driving the car the engine light came on and the car started running on reduced power and the car overheated. A leak was found in a hose and was replaced but yet the car still continues to overheat rapidly.
Sold a lemon car by drivetime financed through bridgecrest financial llc i purchased the car 12/22/2016 and have been reporting problems since i drove off the lot. I live beyond 300 miles of the location where i purchased the vehicle
I was driving south down highway i5 and my sunroof exploded and shattered.nothing hit me and there was no rock or foreign objects.it sounded like a gunshot or explosion.it occurred yesterday 10/19/2017 around 3:25 pm or so.i was not physically harmed, just frightened and glad my kids were not in the car. The break is outward not inward so you know it didn't come from a falling object.
Had driven the car for about 24 miles. Stopped at a garden store. Several minutes later an employee yelled your car is on fire. By the time fire dept. Got there the whole front end of car has burned off, fenders, bumper, hood and broke winshield. No fire got into passenger compartment except smoke
I believe the vehicle has something that may or may not ever be found by a test drive at dealer by service mechanic. I also believe this started before the posted mileage above but i do not have all paperwork from dealership that serviced it.vehicle will bog down after you start to accelerate on hills, around curves, at take off. Sometimes this enables traction control light but not always. I will have no acceleration for seconds andis very unsafe as the last time it did it i was coming around a dangerous curve with a dump truck behind me and couldn't speed up because had no power when pushing the gas pedal. I also had it happen as i was passing another vehicle and it all but stopped beside the vehicle i was attempting to pass.no acceleration can lead to severe injury or death depending on circumstances at time of incident.i have take to dealer more than 3 times for same issue to be told its nothing and they cant duplicate the problem. Even i know that some cars have issues that are never fixed or found!i have contacted gm to get the run around for weeks then finally be told nothing can be done because they aren't prepared to drop the engine because it may cost $4000. If i get hurt in this vehicle it is going to cost a whole heck of a lot more than that!i do not want the engine dropped i am filing a lemon law complaint and will consider a dealer buy back but i am not dropping this because i am not imagining this as the dealer said...i have read same issues online so i know i am not the first with the buick problem. The car is unsafe so we will just let the attorneys hash this out!
Quiet often, the edge of my shoe will catch on the rh side of the brake pedal when moving from the gas to the brake or vice-versa. The area of the foot impacted is near the ball of the foot.the issue seems worse when wearing dress shoes (as opposed to athletic shoes).this has raised some safety concerns for me - especially if i were to need to react quickly in an emergency situation.i don't know if the brake pedal needs to be moved away from the gas pedal laterally or if the two pedals need to be brought more into the same plane.i have submitted my concern to the manufacturer as well, and have not received feedback at this time.
This is a reoccurring issue with the car shutting off completly while driving or loss of engine power.
The contact owns a 2010 buick lacrosse. While driving 75 mph, the vehicle lost power and decelerated independently to 30 mph. The failure recurred several more times. The vehicle was taken to zimbrick buick gmc eastside (5402 high crossing blvd, madison, wi 53718), but the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that they would not assist since the vehicle was out of warranty. The contact also stated that the vehicle failed to start. The contact was finally able to restart the vehicle and purchased a new battery; however, the failure recurred three or four times very close together. The contact also stated that, when attempting to start the vehicle, it would fail to detect the key fob even when placed properly. The vehicle was taken back to zimbrick buick gmc eastside, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was unsure of whether the manufacturer had been contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
"takata recall" i have a recall letter on the throttle sensor and if i have any issues please take into a dealer right away i did this in november of 2016 and they said code did not show up, so 3 months later i have same issues with the car not going over 40 m.p.h and my engine power is reduced.i have 3 diagnostic test that show the throttle sensor is bad i also have documentations of this.i have paid a dealer $100 dollars twice for them to tell me the code still did not show up so they won't replace the recall. I have replaced the throttle myself and paid out of my pocket because the car is un-drivable since feb 13th 2017 i have been dealing with gm customer care on this issue and they refuse to help me with anything.if this is a recall why am i putting out money for a part that is bad and needs to be replaced. This has been going on for almost 4 months, first time i was going 55 mph and was able to pull over right away.the second i was getting off the hwy and was only a mile from work and was able to pull into work.the third time this happened i was almost killed coming home from work on the hwy when i had to drive in the emergency lane doing 40 when the speed limit is 65 with a semi behind me i was a nervous wreck by the time i was able to get off the hwy and turn the car off.i also have the partto show that it is bad.

A/c never blows cold.only heat, the defogger doesnt work properly as a result.

We have replaced 3 wheel bearings in the 7 years we have owned this car. Seems like a lot.
Premature failure of the antilock braking system due to defective hub bearing.
