Driver exiting a parking lot did not see my vehicle and did not stop. Hit my vehicle mid way on the passenger side pushing my vehicle sideways causing it to hit a light pole on the driver side front fender and hood. Air bags did not deploy and seat belt did not work causing me to hit the steering wheel with my chest and my knee on the dash. I was taken to emergency room. Nothing was broken but had extensive soft tissue, muscle strains and cartilage damage. Am still receiving treatment at this time.

Service air bag/warning light keep coming on.

The day we purchased this vehicle, the service air bag light came on when we test drove the vehicle but the sales man ensured us that they could fix that. Well we thought they did and keep saying that everytime we leave the dealership for the same issue. We have had our vehicle to the shop for this same 'service air bag light' at least 10 times since november 25, 2011. Very frustrating!!

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the warning light illuminated, which indicated that the air bag needed servicing. When the vehicle was diagnosed, the mechanic stated that the air bag coil needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.updated 02/12/16*ljthe vehicle was repaired at the consumers expense. Updated 03/09/16.

The airbag light stays on.????

The service airbag soon light came on, at which time i took the vehicle to a local dealer. After they repaired the vehicle, the same light came on within 2 weeks. Since that time i have taken the vehicle in approximately 6 more times for the same issue. The last time the dealership advised that they had replaced everything and now were replacing the computer for the airbag system. After the last repair, the light has come back on. This time the vehicle made it approximately 3 weeks.

On october 12, 2017 (vehicle had under 100k miles) i was driving my buick enclave with a passenger in the passenger seat and my son in the back captain's chair and my airbag light went on along with my service airbag on my dashboard.the vehicle was not driven in any unusual fashion as my vehicle is used for highway and city use.when i noticed the indicator(s) on the dash i was driving on a two lane blacktop highway at approximately 65 mph in partly sunny colorado/nice conditions.i was not going to repair what was diagnosed as faulty airbags as the quoted price was close to $2000.00.once i thought more about my decision, discovering that no airbags my trigger in an accident and that i commonly transport my family and friends in my vehicle, i decided it was best to repair the airbags for safety reasons.i have attached the cost/receipt for this repair that took place on 12/20/2017:$2032.86 (minus an oil change for $44.92) = $1987.92.the reason for my complaint/issue is due to the cost to repair what i consider a manufacturers safety recall issue.while i do not find any recalls on-line or with gm, i consider this a safety issue with the manufacturer that should stand behind their work product for the safety of their customers.my vehicle is in mint condition with service records documenting my care and up-keep including maintenance and repair work recently at right automotive in parker colorado.if you should have any questions, please contact me at [xxx] or [xxx].thank you for your review and consideration in this matter.(in service date of 6-11-2011; i am the original owner)information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Air bag light kept coming on. Love buick, columbia sc replaced module. Several days later air bag light came on again with a message " service airbag ". Above dealer now has this vehicle in service and says they need to keep it several days for more diagnostics.

This vehicle has only about 55,000 miles and was purchased used. It underwent the major recall gm had for defective airbags in 2014. The airbag light came on again while the vehicle was on motion and has been intermittently on and off. The dealer wants $145 for diagnostics and gm will not cover under previous recall unless we prove there was a defect with the previous recall parts. Of course gm will not disclose what the previous recall parts were .

On the dash board, it says service air bag and the drivers seat plastic that house the leather seat is broken

My enclave was stopped at a red light. The vehicle behind me was rearended by the vehicle behind them and then rearended my vehicle.immediately i heard a low air release sound and smelled a gun powder smell, but my airbag did not deploy.the red indicator light for airbag came on after the wreck.

Turned corner on ironwood46615 and rear ended car that stopped suddenly. Crushed my frontend back to puncturing the radiator. No air bag deployed and no seat belt on impact. My knees hit the dash under the steering wheel. No onstar as no airbag deployed. Holding steering wheel was my only deterrent to hitting forward. Driving down the road on a 50mph zone and a vehicle pulled out in front of us.our car t-boned the car that pulled in front of us.everyone had there seatbelts on but the front airbags never deployed.i dont understand why they wouldnt have deployed when we hit the other car at at least 40mph after slamming on the breaks.

The service air bag light continues to display. I had the vehicle serviced at a local chevrolet dealer but the light still displays. Currently the charge is over $200.00 for repair.

I have approximately 84,000 miles on my vehicle and my "service airbag" light has been coming on intermittently.i see several others also filed complaints about this same thing happening to their vehicles.why is this not included in the airbag recalls with so many people filing a complaint on this?

My car make model vin number is not included in the service airbag recall but i am experiencing service air bag issue. I only have 37,677 miles on the car! in addition, i just needed a new ac compressor and compressor condenser hose.

We purchased a 2011 buick enclave for what we thought was a great deal. We were prepared to pay for basic maintenance right after purchase. The check engine light came on as we were driving on the highway. I noticed loss of power while on cruise control(set at 65mph) and the vehicle started shaking. I noticed the rpm jumping from 1 to 2 . We took the vehicle to buick for repairs. We had a tune up, 2 catalytic converters replaced, 3 o2 sensors replaced along with one other one that i'm not sure the name, oil change, struts and shocks, rear sway bar links, air filter, and a gasket manifold. We have not had this vehicle longer than 2 months. The vehicle is still doing the same thing. Today after we picked it up from the shop(no check engine light) we drove it on the highway and now the service traction control light is on along with stabilitrak control. We have 6 children. This is dangerous. What are we to do?

I walked out and tried to open my car with the remote and it did not work. So i used the key to get in it and tried to start it and nothing. Then i could not get the key out of it either. I was panicked i needed to get to work. My husband later jumped it and took the battery to get looked at. Nothing was wrong with the battery. I drove it a day later and my air conditioning was blowing heat on the drivers side and cold air on the passengers side. I just bought it in july with 28,999 miles on it. At 36,762 miles there should be no problems.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the liftgate independently operated. The failure occurred without warning. Prior to the recall, the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 15v415000 (structure). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,800.

Similar to the recently announced recall on 2014 buick enclaves for a faulty gas gauge, the same problem occurs on the 2011 model that i just purchased as well. I have owned the vehicle for 6 weeks and 3 times have experienced the gas gauge indicate an inaccurate amount of fuel. Twice after the vehicle was turned off and turned back on, the gauge reset to an accurate ready. However one after turning the vehicle off twice, the gas gauge did not reset.....it was not until the following day that the gas gauge gave a accurate reading.

Takata recall. The truck seems to be messing up i replaced battery and it worked fine for about 3 weeks and then it stopped working again, i can unplug my battery and plug it back in and it will work fine for a little.

Takata recall had stop at a store got back in car put car in drive pull out car made like a door bell sound padlel to floor no speed car was not moving traction light came on stablebiltytractionl light park unable iighton eneingel light on did not go outinthe first time in motiom on city street second time on highway turning06ttat

Another gm ignition switch issue.with key in ignition and vehicle not running, no chime when doors are opened.if key is removed from ignition and the driver door is opened, the radio will not turn off.obviously, the car was parked and in park when this happened.

Our buick enclave 2011 had just started down the driveway when it got slightly stuck in a small amount of snow. The car was turned off and my husband went to get a shovel to release the snow by the wheel. When he turned around, black smoke was coming from the car! he immediately called the fire department. It only took a few seconds and flames burst from the car and it made popping noises. The engine of the car and the entire inside, (seats, steering wheel, glove compartment etc.) were completely destroyed. The fireman stated that it was an electrical fire. We purchased the car in october, 2010. We have now found similar fires on the internet but have not seen 2011. We feel this information should be made public and gmc must fix it before someone is seriously injured. My husband would have been driving down a steep hill and if the fire started there he would not have been able to get out!

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. When driving over a puddle of water or uneven road surface, the steering failed, various warning indicators and gauges flashed, and there was a loss of power. The dealer (bob weaver auto, 2174 west market street, pottsville, pa 17901, 570-628-3610) was unable to duplicate the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

Passenger side front window and door defective; sporadic and recurrent non-function; dealership will not repair because they cannot duplicate the problem.safety issue; as driving and unable to reach passenger side, noticed door unlocked.dealership said would cost 800-900 dollars to replace electrical harness and will not replace.

I purchased the vehicle on 11/4/19. The dealership, salesman or service department. Didn't inform me or put it in writing that the crankshaft sensor was faulty on the vehicle. John eagle acura didn't consider safety first. On 11/7/19 at 48,076 miles the vehicle won't crank. It was cold and rainy so i didn't drive the vehicle. On 11/17/19 i drove the vehicle to church at 48,124 miles. When i got out of church it won't crank. I called the dealership on 11/18/19 and told them about the vehicle. They told me to bring it in. I brought it in on 11/19/19 at 3p.m.i asked the service department what was the problem because the vehicle won't crank. They told me that it is the crankshaft sensor. I told the salesman that you knew it was the crankshaft sensor and you put my safety at risk. Because you and the service department and dealership knew that the crankshaft sensor was faulty and my safety was at risk. He said to me and my husband that he knew and said that he should have given me a loaner car. But he never told me about it.

Sitting in car with engine running and in park the dashboard lights starts blinking and the auto door locks starts locking and unlocking by themselves. It doesn't happen all the time just once in a while.

My car would not start on it own.i got a boost and it started up.went to auto store and turned the car off and removed the key but it kept running for a few minutes.the sales associated tested the battery and said it wasn't getting the proper crack amps. They did not have the battery that i needed in stock, i was able to make it home and turn off and restart the car until the next morning and the car would not start again and the key got stuck in the ignition.my husband purchased a battery from advance auto but he was still not sure that the battery was indeed the issue.called and took the car superior motors dealership on november 5. We left the car for them to research the issue.we received acall notifying that there was a crack in thefirewall that caused water to leak at the cowl area which shorted out the fuse block and corroded the connectors.my husband asked if we could get assistance with the repair because it was a defect in the product/workmanship and not something that we had control over.superior motors informed us that we needed to reach out to general motors directlyin order to receive any type of assistance.we spoke to several customer service representative that took all of our information and assured us that the issue would be escalated and a call within 24 hours.in the meantime, we reached out to our auto insurance provider and they went out to the dealership. He notified my husband that a service bulletin has been issued in regards to the issue with our vehicle.i am disappointed because we were without transportation and had been promised several call backs.after numerous attempts of speaking with customer service agents wefinally received a call back from a nicole on november 23, 2015 informing us that gm would not be assisting us.we were told by the dealership that we are lucky the car did not catch on fire.

On 3/31/17 returning from spring break and was going 70 mph in passing lane on interstate 65near cullman, alabama and my car shut down, the ecm shut down no warning lights came on, no warning from onstar that there was a problem, i cut into the right hand lane in front of my sister inlaw and nearly was side swiped, i had no breaks, no steering, everything shut down. Some kind of electrical short caused the ecm to fry. Throttle body also was replaced. Something was causing a dead short. Had my sister in law not been paying attention she surely would have side swiped me when i went down into the other lane, 5 people in my vehicle and 5 in hers and traffic was bumper to bumper. I also reported and filed a claim with gm worked with craig a senior adviser at gm. Case# 8-286830. I also field a complaint with onstar. Of course all say my car is past warranty but i feel this is an electrical problem that could certainly cause deaths. Perhaps a recall could or should be done. I think there might have been on newer models but not 2011.we did not have an accident but was 6 hours from home and stranded, having to find a rental car to get home. My car was towed to bill smith buick gmc and it took them from monday till friday to figure out the problem.they ended up calling gm techs direct to try to detect the problem.

Driving on hwy at 60 miles per hour and sudden engine reduce power and stability track light are on. Can drive car more than 30 miles per hour now. And occasionally a back fire.

December 2014 lift gate was up and suddenly came down and hit my wife with great force. This happened twice but not consistently.subsequently was taken to a chevrolet/gm dealership, found both struts not holding pressure and were replaced at owner's expense.onthe morning of january 9,2015 driving during a snow storm on an interstate suddenly vehicle lost stabiltrab, traction control and engine power was reduced to 15 mph.due to the weather traffic was going slower than normal. Car driven to a chevrolet/gm dealer where the throttle body was replaced at owner's expense.onjanuary 14, 2015 owner brought car to have power steering pump replaced due to gm september 2014notice and owner informed that power steering rack was leaking.although not replacing the power steering rack would lead to failure of the new power steering pump, this component was not covered.owner paid a portion to have the rack replace.this repair required a front end alignment for which the owner paid for.

We were driving down the highway at 65 mph the stabilitrak / traction control light came on followed by an engine reduced power warning and the vehicle slows from 65 mph to 30 mph in about 3 seconds.the error message clears itself when the vehicle is turned off and left off for 1 to 5 minutes.the second time this happened we took it to the dealership and they reset the codes as a check engine light was also on.the check engine light came on again and the error message code indicated an idle problem.the dealer diagnosed and the tsb stated to relearn the idle which cost about $220.this problem occurred two more times with similar decelerations from 45+ to about 25 -30 mph in 3 seconds.the car forums on the internet for chevy traverse, gmc acadia list many people with similar issues.many have called gm and have been told that gm is not aware of this as a major problem. Some claim there was a private recall on the 2010 models.

On march 27 2014 my buick enclave gave me an error message on the dash while driving on the highway traction control off, stability transmission needs service, and reduced power came on.the car went from 60 mph to 50 mph suddenly but then cleared up.i took the car into the dealer to be serviced on 03/28/2014. The local dealer stated that they found the issue and corrected it.on april 16 2014 i had the same issue however the event was much worst. I was on the a major highway doing 65 mph.the car did not give me any indication of any isssue. The dashboard displayed traction control off, service traction, and service stabilitrak and very quick and suddenly i lost all power to the car while traveling down the highway at 65 mph. The speedometer stated i was still at 65 mph however the car was not traveling at 65. I tried pulling on my hazard lights but they did not work at the time. The power steeling on the vehicle did not work. The gas pedal did not excel the car. I was almost hit by a tractor trailor who was traveling behind me. I tried moving to the slow lane however the car had no power sterring but the engine was on and the gas pedal was to the floor but the car was not acceleration. I had no power in the car, iwas able to get to a safe spot were i tried turning the car off and back on. That did not solve any issues except for the hazard lights. I was then able to put on my hazard lights. The car never gave me an error that i had reduced power. Everything occurred in about 2 minutes. I immediately contacted the dealer to have the car towed. I have major safety concerns about the 2011 buick enclaves!!!!!i am very lucky that i was not killed on hwy 540. I don't think my air bags would have deployed if i werehit by a tractor trailer or car. Nothing was working in the car. Please call me with any questions!!

Driving on highway.warning light for stabilitrack came on, then engine power reduced light.in seconds no power to vehicle.could not accelerate at all and vehicle slowed on its own.extremely dangerous in traffic when trying to pull over with no power.manual says turn off car wait 15 seconds to correct problem.assuming you don't get killed pulling over first, nice idea.doesn't work.had to stop vehicle more than ten times on way home due to same problem.brought vehicle into dealer.same problem persists.

While driving on the i495 beltway in md a warning chime sounded and the driver's display stated the " service traction control, service stabilitrak", then displayed "engine power reduced" .this occurred while driving at 60mph in heavy traffic.loss of power made it very difficult to maneuver the vehicle from the center highway lanes to the shoulder.loss of power nearly caused an accident due to cars traveling at speed from behind.wife and two young children in the car at the made situation extremely stressful!!followed instructions in driver's operating manual( turn off engine, wait 15 seconds and turn vehicle back on to reset system).this process worked but we had the repeat the process two more times during the 40+ mile drive home.

I was driving in town at about 25 miles an hour when my vehicle shut off the traction control and my vehicle wouldn't go above 15 mph. Dash said service traction control.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power, the speed decreased, and the check engine and traction control sensor indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the brakes would not function properly and made it difficult to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a hole in the engine block and the block would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer (palmen buick in kenosha, wi) was notified of the failure, but the manufacturer was not. The vin was corrected. The failure mileage was 114,000.

2011 buick enclave, all recalls completed. When turning into driveway from a total stop vehicle experienced unexpected acceleration and crashed through part-way up garage door, side wall of garage, (right wheel over 6" concrete foundation), pushed items stored in garage into front wall and moved wall 12" into laundry room. Vehicle stopped when left front wheel hit concrete step into service door although tire left tread mark on floor until engine turned off. Distance traveled was about 2 1/2 car lengths.damage to right front mainly. $12,300 dealer estimated damage. Driver suffered soft tissue bruising, chipped tooth, soreness. Air bags did not deploy. Odb showed no dtc codes. Vehicle visually/manually inspected by dealer per insurance company request - nothing found. Claim filed with esis/gm central claims unit. Edr, sdm & cdr data were downloaded using bosch software and pictures taken of vehicle. Data/pictures were turned over to gm investigators. Owner contacted onstar for data but nothing was received by them. However, initial sdm data indicates 'onstar deployment status data sent' and 'sdm recorded vehicle velocity change data sent.' investigation currently 3 months on-going, vehicle untouched. Vehicle also previously exhibited issue of free rolling backward or forward when stopped on an incline. Auto transmission and torque converter would not hold vehicle.

While traveling with cruise control set to 79 mph, i accelerated to pass a semi that was driving erratically.after passing, i let off the gas but the gas pedal stuck.none of the cruise control buttons would work to slow us, the brakes would not slow us, eventually placing the car in neutral allowed us to safely stop along the road.buick customer support basically said there's nothing wrong and until there's more incidents they won't do anything.

Cylinder misfiring for most enclaves 2, 5 6 . I have an 09 and 2011 and they both have the same misfiring issues andl see it was once fixed in 08 but now its the same issue 2018

I was driving down the highway and all of sudden the vehicle jerk back hard and i loss power andstabilize system shut down and could drive no more than 20 mile an hour.it gotten worst that my truck is jerking and shaking.

Driving the vehicle has rough acceleration and deacceleration, when idealing sometimes will rattle, engine light comes on and off, increased gas use

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the power steering malfunctioned causing the steering wheel to become difficult to turn. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the power steering pump needed to be replaced. The power steering pump was replaced and the failure was remedied. The contact also indicated that while operating the vehicle, the check engine light had illuminated. The mechanic diagnosed that the timing change needed to be repaired. The failure was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000. Updated 01/11/2017*cttiming chain was repaired by independent mechanic. Rear liftgate failed. After negotiations with gm liftgate was repaired as per prior recall.the power steering failed. The timing chain failed. Updated 9/7/18

I was driving on a 2 lane road in a 55mph zone, at 40mph accelerated to pass a vehicle and accelerator pedal took over and accelerated to 87 mph and would not release. Brake was stiff and would not slow vehicle or release accelerator. After 30 seconds of jiggling gas and brake pedals it came back under control and released. Rpm gauge was going up and down at this time as well. This problem nearly caused a crash if another car was in the lane or oncoming traffic.

On three separate occasions in the past month my car lost power while i was driving. Fortunately, i was on city streets when this occurred and i was able to coast to the side of the road and restart the engine. I brought my car in to my buick dealer after the 2nd occurrence and they could find nothing wrong with it. When it happened again last week i noticed that right before i lost power the small wallet that is part of my key chain had fallen from the top of the steering wheel (where i keep it so it doesn't hit my leg). Thinking it may have jerked the ignition slightly and that may have been part of the power issue, i googled "buick enclave ignition issues" when i returned home. Immediately all of the gm ignition problems of the past few years came up; including the frightening news that my car had the exact same ignition as the recalled cars but that gm believed something about the design of the enclave (and other suvs in its class) meant that the ignition was not a problem. I am here to tell you that it is, indeed, a problem. I brought my car back to the dealer on monday and they again can "find nothing wrong with it." i have contacted gm and let them know i will not accept this vehicle until the ignition is replaced. No one should be driving this car. I shudder to think about the consequences if i had been driving my usual carpool of 5 12-year-old boys. Indeed, twice when i lost power i was in the car with my child. I am convinced this is a major problem and that everyone who owns one of these cars must be alerted to the possibiltiy of power loss.

My regularly serviced 2011 buick enclave with approximately 75,000 miles on it began overheating last summer to the point when turning off the engine the radiator fan kept running.my servicing business was continually adding the recommended radiator coolant in amounts that totaled 3.7 gal. Between mid june, '18 to sept '19.i was told by the dealer the radiator holds 14.2 qts of coolant which is 3.5 gal. So it lost over its total capacity. It did the same overheating with the radiator fan running after the vehicle was turned off this past summer. There is a recall 13091 on this issue of a leaky water pump for 2008-2010 buick enclaves as well as similar years for traverses, acadias, and outlook on hfv6 engines (ly7,llt)i was told that gm did not change the faulty water pump until 2013 on the buick enclaves.the car showed no error message of overheating or low coolant on the display panel.this is a safety issue.if the water pumps goes out while driving it could cause the engine to blow with a possible engine fire, unsafe for driver and passengers.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the vehicle failed inspection because the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to mcguire buick gmc (1625 us-46, little falls, nj 07424, (973) 200-6609) where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Hello - i am writing as a concerned consumer. I currently own a 2011 buick enclave. Two weeks ago, while driving this vehicle it started making a very loud knocking noise. The car then completely shut off and became inoperable while driving down a hill. With loss of power steering and the inability to restart the engine it became a dangerous situation trying to get the vehicle stopped and safely off the road.the vehicle was taken to a garage and it was determined that the issue was a broken timing chain. This repair required the removal of the engine to replace the timing chain. Research into buick has shown that there is a bulletin out for this very issue but only for the 2009 model year. My 2011 was manufactured in 2010. For this very issue, buick has extended the manufactures warranty to 120k or 7yrs. Research shows that this timing chain issue is not exclusive to the 2009 as owners of other model years are expressing the same concerns.i am writing to file a formal complaint, as this is a safety issue that buick refuses to acknowledge.the failure of this timing chain lead to a situation that could have caused a wreck and possible injury.i have contacted buick several times and they refuse to provide financial compensation for the repairs and refuse to investigate this further. Their response is simply, there is no bulletin so there is nothing that can be done for me.

Driving on hwy at 60 miles per hour and sudden engine reduce power and stability track light are on. Can drive car more than 30 miles per hour now. And occasionally a back fire.

Car rpm is increasing and lowering during driving like the tranmissio. Is preparing to change gears causing car to lose power in the middle of driving scaring me during driving. Car is in motion

Water pump failed, car overheated.stranded wife and daughter 2 hours.part fixed under recall gm campaign 13079.never notified of recall prior to incident.

I was driving on the highway around 65 mph and all of sudden l loss all engine power. I could barely steer the suv over to the side of the road. Almost got hit from behind by another driver. Had the car towed to the repair shop and they said the motor seized up.

Check engine light came on and vehicle suddenly reduced speed while driving on residential street. Message displayed on panel, "engine speed is reduced." in a separate issue, we were advised by the dealership to keep driving the vehicle even if the check engine light appears to empty out the fuel. The dealership believes the fuel is bad. This may be related to the first issue, but i am unsure.

While driving on i-85 in atlanta, ga...doing 75mph in the fast lane....the engine just died...saying the engine power had been reduced....i immediately pulled over to the left lane & stopped on a divider @ exit 95(entrance to i-285) very busy area....i dialed on-star ...they said they would send a dot-hero vehicle...it never came after 1 1/2hrs...so i called aaa ...they came in 15 minutes with a flat bed truck & took me to the dealership...i was scared to death that in that intersection of hwy's someone was going to slam into me...they replaced my ignition coil #3!!!!

While driving on interstate with cruise control on at 70 mph, vehicle rpms jumped upwardthen engine shutdown, having to drift out of 70 mph traffic onto shoulder of highway.requested assistance from towing company, could not jump vehicle to start.dealer statedthat timing chains had jump or has slack and set off several dtc's preventing a no start!

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle stalled and completely shut off. The vehicle was towed to lotspeich automotive (150 nw us 50 west, warrensburg, mo 64093, (660) 747-9165) where it was diagnosed that there was metal inside the oil, and the engine seized and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

Codes p0017 and p0008 camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position keeps coming on driving and parked running. Even after replacing the sensor.

Vehicle at 108,000, gm dealer states needs new engine for $6,800.started making a rattling noise on acceleration and would disappear once speed leveled off.only occurred 1-2 days prior to having it looked at with minimal driving.

Driving off of a highway. Sudden engine seize steering lock and zero power. Car rolled to a complete stop. Luckily we were in a turning lane and were able to roll into a safe waiting area. No one in the vehicle were injured bodily yet the mental anguish and fear was unbearable. Had this happened on the highway five minutes earlier , with the heavy traffic, i am sure there would have been much more serious outcome. The car has since been serviced. Replaced were a broken engine belt., and bad tensioner. What i don't understand is how a 3 year old car could fail so terribly. I am now petrified to drive my enclave for fear of other faulty parts. Service was performed at ferman gmc on november 11, 2013 in lutz florida. This was their first encounter with such a problem. Very scary experience for all involved. Every time i see a buck i recall that night in my mind. I still have not driven the car since it has been repaired and home. Not sure i can ever trust this brand again. I was told a faulty tensioner caused the engine belt to snap. Horrible.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While operating the vehicle, the contact heard an abnormal winding noise coming from the engine and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the crankshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. Johnny londoff chevrolet (1375 dunn rd, florissant, mo 63031, (314) 227-1437) was contacted and scheduled a second diagnostic appointment for december 5, 2019. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,054.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the vehicle began to overheat. He thendiscovered that engine antifreeze was leaking all over the engine and hood because the fans were still operating. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the radiator was puncture and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vin was not available. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 11,000.

Inaccurate fuel gauge reading of my 2011 buick enclave.has been happening for the last month and a half.i fill my tank up and it still reads that the tank hasn't been filled, also indicates that i only have say 60 miles when after a fill up it should read a range of at least 300 miles.

The fuel mileage reader is not working properly...sometimes when i get gas it registers more mileage than it should. ...such asit may be on empty and the amount of fuel that i put in it should register that i would get 115 miles off it....but it will register that i should get150 miles.sometimes it registers right and i can drive only 10 miles and the number of miles that i can travel will drop by 28 miles or more.it changes as i drive but doesn't show the proper mileage left as be appropriate.also my heat is only coming out the vents in the rear and the top side dash vents and the bottom driver sidefloor vent.the front dash vents have no heat and the bottom floor passenger vent is blowingcool air. The heat problem is when driving and siting.the mileage reader is occurring when driving and after refilling and sometimes while sitting with the car running.

Fuel indicator is all over the place.drop to zero and to half and full and back to zero.

On multiple occurrences, the fuel gauge does not accurately reflect the amount of fuel in the tank.it shows far less.sometimes by turning on and off the car, it will reset.other times it will take a day to reflect the right amount. Since there is a recall for this in vehicles manufactured from 2013-2014, it seems likely that this, too, is a defect.

Regarding 2011 buick enclave: power steering rack is leaking and pump faulty requiring replacement. Only 53k on car; bought it brand new in 2011. Luckily i have extended warranty although dealer trying to argue their responsibility. This is very upsetting for several reasons: this a $45,000 car, i pointed this issue out 2 weeks prior during my regular oil change visit and was blown off until i pressed the matter, and i have seen several posts recently regarding this exact issue with this type vehicle.additionally there is admitted fault by gmc regarding several mechanical issues related to power steering and as evidenced by multitude of recent recalls. I hate to say it but this is my first american car and likely my last. My 2004 nissan with 180k miles runs great!!

Transmission needed replaced at 160,000, issue been goin on for about 1 year or 10,000 miles has had oil leaks, have had to fill fuild up regularly, seems like all of these gm, chevy, buick and saturn's all have had the same issue with transmissions

While driving at highway speeds, with cruise control set the vehicle started to violently shake almost causing me to lose control of the vehicle. After having the vehicle inspected i was informed that the transmission is known to have an issue with the 3rd and 5th clutch pack causing the vehicle to shake when they are trying to engage. This is no lights on the dash and no other warning signs of said issue. I have an appointment to have the issue resolved which entails to have the transmission either rebuild or replaced.

Ever since i bought this vehicle it rolls backwards when in park.,i told the dealer about it and they say it's common. What ever that means. I put up with this until now that i am parking it in a small garage and when i park it it rolls back and the overhead door hits the bumper and flies back open. One time i parallel parked on a incline and it rolled back into the car parked behind me.luck for me no real damage.glad i live in florida where there are not to many hills to park on. But every time i go on vacation it gets more and more dangerous. There has to be something that can be adjusted or tightened up to stop this, please respond to my problem as to what can be done.

2011 buick enclave "engine hot a/c off" and then "engine overheated idle engine" and then "engine power reduced" messages came on in quick succession (w/in less than 1.5 miles) at 10:00 p.m. I was driving on suburban streets when this issue occurred. Took into dealer first thing the next morning and was told the water pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. I mentioned april 2013 tsb #13079 related to leaking water pump shaft and was told that had expired. Water pump was subject of extended warranty coverage for 2008-2010 enclaves (#13091). Water pump is covered under powertrain warranty (100,000 miles or 5 years -- my vehicle has 79,738 miles and warranty expired 10//15). Called buick customer service to inquire about this issue. Was told dealership would have to determine any financial assistance. I believe the evidence suggests gm is aware there is a continuing issue with the water pumps on buick enclaves made after 2010 and there should be extended warranty coverage for the fix on these vehicles, as well.

Codes p0017 and p0008 camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position keeps coming on driving and parked running. Even after replacing the sensor.

The vehicle rolls back on any incline. There is no hand brake in the center console, and according to dot safety this is not legal. Most crossovers and or suvs of this size roll back a few inches before the transmission pins engage and stop the roll back. I was told from gmc that the component was remove so that the transmission doesn't have to be serviced for 100000 miles.gmc told us the only thing they are willing to do is install and after-market hand control and will pay a percentage toward the cost. To me this sounds like a band-aid fix to a bigger problem.

Buick enclave 2011: the car rolls down uncontrollably on hills while in gear whether in drive or reverse, and is very hard to control. This also requires very quick movement from brake to accelerator. There is no "hill hold" feature and drivetrain provides no resistance. We deal with this problem every day while driving our driveway and into our garage. The minute we attempt to pull up to the garage, the car/suv starts rolling backwards and you have to conduct a couple of quick steps to stop it. I imagine this causes wear and tear on the brakes and other parts of the vehicle. A service rep at the dealership said this was normal and told me about other manufacturers that have the same problem from gmc.i drive a second car and it never does this. I believe this is a buick enclave problem.

2011 buick enclave rolls uncontrollable on hills while in gear - drive or reverse. Very hard to manage. Requires very quick move from brake to accelerator and "2-foot" driving which is dangerous and wears brakes and transmission. There is no "hill hold" feature and drivetrain provides no resistance.this is a serious safety concern as the rollback is not restricted and can reach dangerous speeds depending on the level of decline. This requires the driver to keep firm and consistent pressure on the brake when on an incline to avoid rolling into other vehicles and also, go heavy on gas to overpower the roll when taking off. This is even worse than a manual transmission vehicle as at least they will stop if they snub out.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that after stopping at a stop sign on a flat road and slowly disengaged the brake, the vehicle started rolling backwards. The contact mentioned that a great amount of pressure had to be used in order for the vehicle to move forward. The problem persisted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while in reverse with the brakes depressed, the vehicle rolled forward. Also, when the gear was in drive the vehicle would roll backward. The accelerator pedal had to be depressed with force in order for the vehicle not to roll away when gear was in drive. The failure was experienced numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic, but the dealer was unable to locate a failure code. The vehicle was also test driven but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 400 and the current mileage was 6100.

I own a 2011 buick enclave. The vehicle rolls backwards in drive on an incline when i take my foot of the accelerator and roles forward when on a decline when in reverse.the vehicle will continue to roll until i apply the brakes. I actually have to work the brake and accelerator just to control the vehicle. Especially difficult to handle when trying to park it in hilly situations. The hill does not have to be steep at all for this to happen. But, the steeper the hill the more dangerous this rolling can be. I almost rolled into a fence while trying to back out of a parking space on an decline. I've had numerous close calls when parking or someone behind me is close to my rear bumper on an incline. I taken the vehicle to the dealer ship and they say that just the way the vehicle. No recall on this. Gm does not recognize the rolling issue as a hazard . Many complaints on the internet though. I just think this is a huge safety issue that gm is ignoring.this has been happening since i bought the vehicle new on 2011. ....updated 11/02/15

In 2017 the timing belt failed with less than 100,000 miles on the vehicle. Timing belt replacement was over 2000 dollars. 2018 the check engine light came on india sting an issue with the caytalic converter. Have not repaired but vehicle will dye while driving. It quit working on interstate and i had to coast across five lanes to shoulder, where i was able to restart vehicle. This also happened on 2 lane highway. 2020 airbag light came on, stayed on for afew days and went out. Hit bump in road airbag light returns.

While i was getting ready to merge onto a highway i heard a "pinging noise" then a "thud". I immediately pulled over to find the the drive train or drive shaft had just fallen out of my car onto the road.

Vehicle experience severe roll back when on an incline.it is very dangerous and that has happened to me multiple times and i am afraid that i will hit the car or structure behind me.reading buick forums it seems line many others are experiencing this problem as well.

While stopped at stop sign; vehicle rolls.while taking off , you must keep your foot on the brake to prevent vehicle from rolling backward into vehicle behind while accelerating too.this vehicle is like driving a manual vehicle.

When my buick has been onincline in the drive or reverse gear, my buick rolls backwards or forwards depending on the direction of the incline without stopping.it makes it necessary to hold the brake with one foot and accelerate with the other.the problem used to be a small roll back but has recently become to a point where the car doesn't stop rolling.this is extremely dangerous as it does not allow the driver to have control of the car.i'm extremely worried in residential areas with driveways on an incline as it will make it hard to stop the car if a kid is either in front or behind the car when this occurs.

I was driving down the highway and all of sudden the vehicle jerk back hard and i loss power andstabilize system shut down and could drive no more than 20 mile an hour.it gotten worst that my truck is jerking and shaking.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle on a slight incline with the transmission in drive, the vehicle would roll backwards down the hill. During the failure, the brakes and power steering also became inoperable. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer carl black chevrolet buick gmc (11500 east colonial dr, orlando, fl 32817) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 138,000. The vin was not available.

On incline when in drive -- rolls backward, indefinitely.on decline when in reverse -- rolls forward, indefinitely.this makes the vehicle extremely dangerous to parallel park on an incline/decline, as at some point you will need to take your foot off the brake to get going and when you do, the vehicle will roll forward (hopefully not hitting the car in front of you) and the accelerator will need to be applied enough to move the heavy vehicle against the grade (hopefully not so forcefully that you will risk hitting the car behind you).service department at local dealership pointed me to owner's manual (9-25): "if the vehicle is stopped on a hill, with your foot off the brake pedal, the vehicle may roll. This is normal and is due to the torque converter designed to improve fuel economy and performance. Use the brake to hold the vehicle on a hill. Do not use the accelerator pedal."however, this owner's manual entry is in the "drive" section, and similar statements are not mentioned within the section about "reverse."

Car rpm is increasing and lowering during driving like the tranmissio. Is preparing to change gears causing car to lose power in the middle of driving scaring me during driving. Car is in motion

Vehicle rolls backwards when i let off brake on slight grade at stop.

I am not sure where transmission falls in the above list. Ever since i purchased the vehicle it rolls backwards when stopped on a hill.i have to use both feet to keep it from rolling back and hitting the car behind me.i was trying to back up in a parking space that was up hill and it rolls forward also.i asked the dealership not long after i discovered this issue and their response was oh it is supposed to do that. I find that hard to believe, it is dangerous. It's not like this is a 5 speed with a clutch but that is how you have to treat it on hills.

When car is on a incline when you take your foot of brake it rolls backward, just purchase the car on 8/8/2013 took it back to dealer they say that's how it is,nothing wrong.(safety hazard??)

Transmission does not hold at all - will move forward while in reverse at the slightest incline - also does not shift down to pass other vehicles - very sloppy sluggish transmission.

2011 buick enclave rolls unabated on hills while in gear - drive or reverse. Very hard to control. Requires very quick move from brake to accelerator and "2-foot" driving which is dangerous and wears brakes and transmission. There is no "hill hold" feature and drivetrain provides no resistance.

The contact stated that he was sitting on an incline with the brakes depressed. As he released the brakes, the vehicle abnormally rolled backward approximately 300 feet. The failure would occur sporadically when on an incline. The dealer was contacted and advised that the failure was normal. He then called the manufacturer and was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 300 and the current mileage was 369.

All recalls and up-to-date recalls on my vehiclepower steering is hard to turn hatchback coming up when she'll wiper vehicle is hard to pullrattlingnoise

Repairs cost $5000.+ and gm dealer insisted airbag and seat belt were functioning. Knees still hurt. And seen doctor about knees and going again soon. I am reporting this after hearing that there are recalled on seat belts and airbags on driver side.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 14v266000 (seat belts); however, the parts needed for the repair were unavailable. The dealer was uncertain when the parts would become available to service the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure.

2011 buick enclave.consumer writes in regards to front passenger seat indicator for the "service air bag" and seat belt warning indicator light comes on for no reason.the consumer stated the warning indicators sounded, when there was no one sitting in the passenger seat.before the consumer could get to the dealer, the indicators went out on their own.

On the dash board, it says service air bag and the drivers seat plastic that house the leather seat is broken

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the molding cover for the driver's side seat controls failed.the contact stated the seat did not stop operating, but the wires for the controls were exposed haphazardly. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the part was replaced. The dealer stated that the controls would have failed if they were not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure and the current mileages were 20,000.

*purchased new in august 2010, reported back to dealership there was movement in seat back/bottom or both.have returned and communicated with selling dealership and general motors (service request #71-929161000) on this ongoing problem as movement still exists in seat.attempted to repair seat three times and failed.problem is still exists and gm headquarters in detroit is standing by their field service rep and the dealship saying there is no problem in their view.having said this, no one has seen the vehicle to examine if in fact repairs were successful after their last attempt at replacing parts on the seat frame.no representative from , gm field service manager or anyone else representing gm.so, i dont know how they can say the problem is fixed if they are still receiving complaints and have not examined the seat for warrants of this complaint.additionally i have taken this vehicle to a privately owned auto service center:i am thankful to not only provided great service but has also detected the root problem in the seat and provided their option on what should be done to remedy this problem - replace the seat.when i provided this information to gm headquarters, they reviewed the information and came back with the same repeated response indicating that although they understand i am not satisfied with their response, they have nothing more to add in terms of correcting this problem i have experienced since i purchased this vehicle from the dealership.i am concerned as to the seat providing stability when stopping in an emergency when needed most in addition to the seat wearing out well before its time.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

The brake slide is aluminum blocks with stainless steel pins.this is improper design since a catalyst action corrodes the aluminum causing aluminum oxide to freeze the pins making the brakes to seize against the rotor. This burns the pads and caused breaking away of pad material.i have only 28000 miles and the brakes are gone.also results in low fuel milage.possible cause of highway accident such as happened in spring killing a woman on i-65 south of indianapolis. I was fortunate no personal accident occurred.wrote gm and was brushed off.vehicle used only on trips with mostly highway miles.but brakes are gone so replaced but will not fix gm problem. Black and polished like black onyx stone.

Steering column was whining.took it in and was told the steering gear was leaking and it would cost $1500 to repair.according to gm forums this is a very very common complaint that gm has done nothing about.why is a recall not being instituted?

Noticed a whining noise in my steering wheel when turning. Called the dealership and was told this was "normal". Not being satisfied with this took it in and insisted they check it.i was then told the rack and pinion is failing and needs to be replaced. The cost would be $2000. I bought this car new and it only has 41,000 miles on it. I feel that this should be paid by gm since this is a common complaint and very dangerousand could result in an accident. I will no longer buy anything built by gm if this is how they treat their customers. I paid $53,000 and i thought i would have this car for a few more years. I guess not.

Squealing noise in steering system , when put pressure on the steering wheel it begins to vibrate, there are minute metal shavings in the steering fluid, local fm dealer says this is not part of their recall

Loud whining noise and leaking from rack/pinion pump. Hewlett chevy/buick dealership acknowledges pump is covered under special coverage adjustment but won't perform repair until pump and rack actually go out...putting my family in danger.

At slower speeds while not accelerating or on uneven surface, the power steering fails reverting to manual steering. Makes it difficult to turn the steering wheel. There is no warning when it's going to happen

While car under warranty steering wheel made grinding sounds...i had begun to believe i had an anti-freeze leak as i alsosmelled an odor like one. Took car to dealer and he fixed steering housing and smell and grinding went away..however, now with car out of warranty, same symptoms with steering wheel grinding loudly what am i to do? after reading other complaints, i think there is proof of a problem which should be a recall issue and buick should take note.

Power steering and rack is leaking. I see that there are hundreds of complaints on this issue. Estimate for repair is $1400. The steering is very hard and very unsafe. There are 3 kids under 10 in this family. Gm is putting them at risk.

Reported issue to dealer of car making whining noise at low speeds. Dealer says i need a new power steering rack, hoses and possibly a new pump!the car is a is only a 2011 and very well maintained! spoke with gm - they contacted dealer wondering why no recall since every single forum i read has hundreds of people complaining about this same exact issue. I was furious that they refuse to acknowledge this as a problem. They say that there are not enough power steering noise problems reported to require them to issue a recall. They say that they are not responsible for this decision. It is a federal safety issue and that they issue recalls based on numbers, however, this has not happened often enough to issue a recall. They are offering me a "deal" to get the car fixed at my dealer. They will pay all but $500 toward the rack and labor. I need to cover the hoses and possibly the pump if it is bad. Also, if there is a recall in the future i will be reimbursed retroactively for my expenses. Isn't this an admission that there is a problem??? i am so angry! my dealer, however sings a different tune from gm. Says that this problem exists quite frequently in the enclave, acadia and the chevy traverse...... I am not sure that i believe or trust anything they have to say! i have a 2011 enclave (which i absolutely loved up until now!) with 60k on it. Now out of warranty - eventually this will have to be fixed - leaving a very large dent in my pocket and a hole in my heart because i really thought i would have this car for a long time. However, once it is paid off i am dumping it. No more buicks or gm cars for me. Not ever! i really wish that someone would begin investigating gm and this issue.it is a huge safety concern, not to mention a very expensive fix.please contact me to discuss and let me know what concerned folks such as myself can do to deal with this! thank you!!!!!

Recently had to replace my power steering gear due to leaking seals that caused failure.also power steering pump had to be replaced.power steering pump is covered under special gm warranty (14329 'loss of power steering assist'), but not power steering gear.in doing research, it seems many consumers have experienced a similar issue, but gm has not issued a recall for the power steering gear.

The dealer (luther gmc, 3202 36th st s, fargo, nd) diagnosed that the steering gear was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The vin was not provided.

2011 buick enclave makes a whining noise when accelerating, turning and slowing down. Dealership informed me that car is "cold" and needs warming up because temperature has changed.however, my car was making this noise just not as bad during the summer. I asked if it was the power steering pump or if i needed fluid.they informed me they capped off the fluid during each of my service visits but the noise is still there.now i'm going to have to take it somewhere else for a second opinion after reading other people's issues with their enclave. My issue is always during start up, turning and stopping which is a huge problem.it has been escalating for the past few months.it's worst now.

Over time our 2011 buick enclave experienced a whining noise at idle and lower speeds, particularly when turning.dealership indicated that this was due to a leaking/defective power steering pump and potentially the entire steering column may need to be replaced.this vehicle is approximately 3 years old and approximately 50k miles - disappointed to discover that this issue is not currently covered under warranty/recalls.i would not expect to encounter an issue of this magnitude with a car at this point in the life cycle - this is a potential safety concern if this issue progresses to a situating where the steering totally fails.

Power steering rack and pinion seals are leaking at 75000 miles as noted at gm dealer during routine servicethis is a safety issue that gm needs to address through a recall

The power steering fails when the car is not accelerating.it is almost impossible to turn the wheel after backing up or from a complete stop. I need to replace the pump and rack and pinion system as well as get the system flushed due to metal shavings that have sheared off of a part within the system. The total repair will cost approximately $2200.00.

Went to my dealer for noisy steering and was informed the steering rack was leaking after 34,000 miles. Was told repair would be 1700.00. After reading forums online found out this could cause me to loose my power steering. I believe this should be a recall .

Difficulty turning wheel- power steering feels like it is failing and may not make complete turn. Wheel becomes stiff and difficult to turn.

I began to make loud squeaking noises when making left and right turns.in addition, as time progressed i would feel pressure when turning the steering wheel.due to fear of steering wheel not being able to turn, i took the vehicle to the dealership.the dealership said that the vehicle needed a new steering pump and rack.gm said they would not cover the entire cost.the total cost was $2600 and gm said it would only cover $1600.owner feels gm should cover the entire cost since this is a safety issue and the car is only 2,000 miles over 50,000 mile warranty.this is not a usual wear and tear car issue.

Letter from constituent regarding a problem with her 2011 buick enclave; she is requesting an expeditious recall or special coverage/full reimbursement expense for the power steering rack replacement repair.the consumer stated while driving, the steering wheel felt loose and the vehicle felt unsteady. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop. A diagnosis revealed the power steering rack was leaking.

The power steering pump failed.this failure caused the steering to tighten at slow speeds making the car extremely difficult to control and safety hazard.when taken to the dealer, i was told that power steering pressure inlet hose and power steering gear assembly needed repair.an independent mechanic told me that the additional repairs were the result of the failed pump.gm is denying coverage of the additional repairs under warranty.the power steering pumps should be recalled with all damaged parts replaced.

Rack and pinion failure and leaking while driving

Enclave is making creaking noises when turning, sometimes the steering pauses while driving, leaking power steering fluid. This is the third engine on this vehicle, so mileage on this engine roughly 25,000.

The power steering fluid is leaking after hearing loud grinding noise and difficult to steer while driving. Gm said they didn't see a problem and not part of the "special coverage" that involves a steering pump.apparently, you need to almost crash your car before that is replaced.i received a quote to repair and it's at least $800.the car has 67k miles and is 5 years old - only owner.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While driving 10 mph and making a right turn, the steering seized without warning. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, it operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the power steering pump and rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,664.

The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 62,000. Updated 08/19/14*lj updated 07/06/2017 *ct

My 2011 buick enclave "power steering rack" was found leaking fluid during a routine oil change at my dealership, burns gmc, buick dealer in marlton, n.j.. My 2011 buick enclave only has 57000 miles on it. It cost me $1200.00 to get repaired. There is a "class action law suit" filed against gm for this same problem. Gm should recall these vehicles listed in the law suit and repair them free of charge. This is a very dangerous situation for someone to loose the steering of their vehicle while driving one of these vehicles.

Vehicle made noise when turning the wheel. The dealer said the steering gear was leaking and as a result the low fluid resulted in power steering pump failure. I have read multiple reports online from customers stating that they had the exact same issues. This is clearly a manufacturing defect that gm should be held accountable to correct. The vehicle has just over 52k miles and i have owned it since it was brand new. Repair quote from a local dealership was $1100 for the steering gear, $360 for the pump, and $1000 for labor. These repairs are not covered under warranty despite the special extended warranty gm issued for power steering pump failure.

We own a 2011 buick enclave with 84240 miles. After a routine oil change were shocked to find out from the dealer that there is now a leaking steering rack and steering pump that will need to be replaced neither of which are covered by gm .the cost is over $2300.00. This is my wife's car and is used daily to transport not only our own but other children as well. We have no choice but to remediate the problem.after doing very little research it is obvious that this is a known defect and that gm is choosing to ignore the risk to those driving their vehicles.this is actually our second enclave and until know we have enjoyed their reliability and the service we have received.based on this experience it will be the last gm car we buy. We will be seeking reimbursement from gm.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While driving 3 mph, the power steering failed. The contact stated that the steering wheel required additional effort to turn. The vehicle was taken to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that there was a hydraulic leak in the gear housing of the power steering. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,583.

I was driving yesterday and stopped at a stop sign. I started to pull out from the stop sign making a right hand turn and lost all power steering and ac shut down. I was able to get the turn by pulling hard and then it starting working right again. Very upsetting. Took car to bokmans in olean, ny. I am afraid to drive it now.

I took my 2011 buick enclave with 27,000 miles into my local buick dealer for routine maintenance.the service manager called and advised that the steering rack was leaking and that the estimated repair cost is $1780.i chose not to have the repair done at that time, but now see that many enclave owners have experienced power steering failures due to this defect. Some of these failures occurred in traffic and could have resulted in accidents.now that i am aware of this i will take the car to be repaired immediately.because there have been so many failures with potentially serious consequences, this should be investigated by nhtsa for a possible recall.i suspect that this would also affect gmc acadia and chevy traverse models.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that an abnormal noise emitted from the vehicle when the lift gate was operated. The failure mileage was 8,000. Updated 03/11/16*ljthe consumer stated the liftgate has been repaired.

I purchased a new buick enclave on or about 4 feb. 2011, on or about 12 april 2011i had the back window down without knowing it as i hit about 45 mph this horrible noise appeared in the car. I pulled off the road thinking that the engine blew up, but this was not the case. The sound came from having the back window down. I contacted the dealer about this and was told there was nothing that could be done about it. I later took decibel readings of this and they are at 94 db at 45 mph. As speed is increased the decibel readings also increased. I could only take the readings up to 60 mph as the decibel meter i had did not go above 120 db. This will cause hearing loss and possibly permanent hearing loss to small children and babies. This problem needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Also the whole car shakes and is very distracting to the driver. Status update. 08/30/11

I was exiting the freeway and started to touch the front window button downbut it was the rear window button and immediately the whole car started thisshaking and vibrating. I was shocked and shook-up by this event and immediatelypulled over to the side.luckily, down the road a bit, i saw a buick dealership andproceeded to it. The service mgr. Told me buick is aware of this problem which he called "wind abatement".one of his associates even asked me if he could comewith me so he could witness this event. So we did go back to the freeway, let rear window down, and he witnessed it himself.the buick dealer denied any defects in the car and advised me to crack a front window about an inch, then let the rear window down. This whole episode has left me in a state of shock and not knowing if this vehicle is safe to drive.

The rear lift gate gave out and and will no longer go up or down automatically or stay up when open, the door will shut on you.

I will open the automatic lift gate on the back of the vehicle and it will automatically come down. This has happened on more than one occasion and has fallen on me.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v415000 (structure) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure.

The power liftgate does not stay open (the vehicle was statrionary, turned off, and properly parked). Instead it catches and then forcefully closes on whoever/whatever may be right below it. Upon trying to stop the liftgate from closing it will not remain in the open position and continues to forcefully close. This happens every time the liftgate is opened. This is part of a recall (gm safety recall 15240). Documentation received as part of the recall indicates parts are not available to fix this issue. Repeated calls & messages to the service department have not been returned. National traffic highway safety campaign id number is 15v415

The back automatic lift gate was activated. The lift gate opened properly but when it was opened completely the locking mechanism failed and the door fell closed.luckily i was not standing in the door opening.i tried the lift gate once more and it responded exactly the same way and i tried to stop the gate from closing and could not, the door closed even though i was trying tom hold it up. I have taken the car to the buick dealer and it has been repaired.

Came home from the store , as i was getting groceries out of the back the tail liftgate came down and hit me in the head. Now when its open it jumps up and down.it has a mind of its own. Very dangerous

Repairs cost $5000.+ and gm dealer insisted airbag and seat belt were functioning. Knees still hurt. And seen doctor about knees and going again soon. I am reporting this after hearing that there are recalled on seat belts and airbags on driver side.

The power liftgate door opens 75% of the way when i push button or manually but then starts to closes again.i have been hit by the door several times already due to door closing. Also day light on passenger front goes on and off. It will work for a few days then not work for weeks. Have had light bulb replaced and continues to happen.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 mph, the rear lift gate released and opened independently. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road with caution.the lift gate safety lock was engaged to secure the door in a closed position. After a period, the safety lock failed to operate. The failure recurred when driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed there was dust and water in the lift gate switch. The lift gate switch and rubber seal were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.

The front driver and passenger doors have a very sharp plastic edge sticking out past the metal body of the door. This has caused injury to three people including myself. The plastic is so sharp that it has cut deep wounds into the legs of the person getting in or out of this vehicle.i have tried to find out if anyone else has had this problem and no one has brought this forward for review. I just can't believe that no one else has had this problem.maybe they figure they were clumsy and it was their fault.i cut the corners off and sanded them to a smooth finish to correct this problem.

Liftgate will not stay opened

My wife was unloading the groceries one day and the power lift gate fell on her back without warning. She had a very bad bruise and skin abrasion for a couple of weeks. I was surprised that our lift gate struts had failed with only 54k miles on the vehicle. The next day i called the dealer and was told there was a recall nhtsa campaign number: 15v415000. When i asked when i could bring it in for repair they said they don't have the parts. That was in early july. It is now nov. 18th and we've been waiting for nearly 5 months and i cannot even get an answer for when it can be fixed. In fact, i can't even pay to have this fix done. The trunk is very heavy and it now takes 2 people to load and unload. This is extremely inconvenient and dangerous when she is by herself with my 2 younger kids since we use the trunk every day. The power lift gate is supposed to open with the press of the key fob and was one of the main features that made us purchase the vehicle. We feel that 5+ months is completely unreasonable to wait for a fix from gm. We cannot even trade it in because no dealer can resell it with a hatch that does not stay open. We are now left in limbo with an suv that offers no utility. After some research i found out this recall effects 686,287 units of its lambda platform crossovers which includes the 2008-2012 buick enclave, 2009-2012 chevrolet traverse, 2007-2012 gmc acadia, and 2007-2010 saturn outlook. Gm should at least offer compensation for building such a major defect and then taking so long to fix it. We are happy with the buick enclave aside from this problem but it has definitely left a sour taste in our mouths.

Gas gauge wasn't working on my 2011 buick enclave especially when weather was cold.gas gauge would show less than was in the tank.happened once or twice in 2012, but i thought it was a fluke.then, several times in winter of 2013- so, i finally took it indec 2013 after getting a message in the car of a sensor failure.they quoted $517.27 to fix it and said they didn't have time that day.took back in early jan.warranty just expired by 3000 miles, so i argued it should be covered.dealership made me pay $100 towards it.they replaced the fuel level sensor.i have had it happen once again since, so i am wondering if they fixed the right part, although i would want to see it happen again to be sure before i complain again, although waiting to make sure there was a problem was what got me out of warranty when i originally took in it to have fixed.as i see the recent recall in may 2014 of only the 2013 buick enclave models for the same gas gauge issue, i am frustrated.obviously, the problem is more pervasive than just the 2013 models.safety of this model seems to be an issue.now, i saw there is airbag recall, although i haven't been notified yet.i had water pump issue fail the week after i had it checked for recall notice and they had said it was fine and didn't need fixed.scary as i got notice all of a sudden that car was shutting down and it did - luckily, i wasn't on the freeway and could pull off quickly, but i was still stranded without warning.frustrating after i just took it in for this recall issue and was told it was fine.i've also had the liftgate issue (release switch failed), issue with driver's side door, and a/c issue - all in a car that isn't that old.

Vehicle was taken in for inspection of steering gear and low fluid in the reservoir. Seal on driver side was leaking causing fluid to collect in and around boot. There is a tsb / non mandatory recall for the power steering pump.there should be a recall on the steering gear assembly/ rack & pinion. In the process of installing the steering gear the front struts apparently locked in place now they have to be replaced. All work is being repaired at adealership. From what i readonline the steering gear seems to be a common problem with the buick enclave. Any feedback would bewelcomed.

At approximately 18000 miles i noticed that my michelin tires had small cracks in them.since they were not worrisome at that time, i just decided to keep an eye on my tires, for bulges or larger cracks.i recently had my tires replaced, less than 40000 miles on them because i was getting ready to go on a road trip and didn't want to take the chance.my tires were heavily cracked and one was losing air daily.i first contacted gm directly (prior to replacing the tires) to see if they were under warranty or known defective/recall items. When i spoke to the dealer about the tires being defective, they insisted the tires were not defective, that michelin adds silica to their tires in the manufacturing process and the silica addition does not do well in hot/dry climates.they indicated that because michelin does add silica on purpose the tires are not defective.my argument is that the tires are defective if they do not maintain their integrity in all climates.my buick dealership did not honor the buick warranty.ref nhtsa id number 10543165, as i am not the only customer with the problem and tire integrity is a very important safety feature on vehicles.this needs to be investigated and a recall issued.i replaced my tires with goodyear tires at just under $900.on a $50,000 car, having to replace tires before 3 years / 40,000 miles is unacceptable.just in case gm looks at these complaints.you have lost a loyal customer.i've bought 6 brand new gm cars and one slightly used gm car.half of those cars have had problems, why i have remained a loyal customer, who knows...

(1) driver door bounces back and closes after open it and when you think it is secure and able to exit vehicle (even if done carefully, slowly and deliberately)--finger caught in door and now permanently bent and damaged; (2) back hatch slams down with no warning--closed on me and my 4-year old son while we were standing under it changing his clothes; and (3) fuel tank will not allow gas to pump (spent up to 10 minutes trying to pump gas and got not even 1 gallon (video available). Husband fixed hatch. All were reported to local dealer in person and excuses only thing given; did not offer to look into anything further unless i paid regular charges and wanted to show me "tricks" they use for pumping gas because it happens to person helping me at dealer with his buick also. Reported to gm corporate via website and nothing done (closed my file as "unsatisfied"). This was all before recall on hatch was issued (which buick still has not figured out a fix for it). Letter sent to gmc legal department with no response. Too many safety issues with this car. Cannot be trusted, especially after you tell the manufacturer of problems and they do nothing. They owe for the hatch fix and also for personal injuries. They should be forced to buy this car back since they cannot warn of design defects and put their customers at risk.

On 3 occasions, while the car was driven, the car stopped without warning. On all three occasion, the car will not start. The first time this occurred, i took the car to the dealership, carl black roswell. They replaced the starter and replaced all the fuel injector. 2-3 days after the car was picked up, the car stopped again while my wife was driving our kids to school and the car wouldn't start. The car was towed to the dealership again. This time, they said they replaced the fuse block. A few days after i picked up the car from the dealership, the car stopped again while it was driven and the car wouldn't start after it stopped. The car again was towed to the same dealer. They then said they fixed the ground wire. They said they could not guarantee me that the issue will not re-occur. I was concerned for the safety of my wife and kids since my wife uses the car to drop off and pick up my kids to/from school. I contacted gm (through email to the ceo, mary). Gm reached out to me and their claims department contacted the dealership. Gm indicated that they had approved all the 3 repairs (including the 2 repairs that did not fix the issue) and asked me that there was nothing else they could do. I asked for a guarantee the issue will not re-occur and gm said they could not guarantee me that the issue will not reoccur. I then reached out to gm's ceo via email again and asked for a guarantee or replacement of the car with a certified used buick enclave or new buick enclave. Its been over a week and i have received no response. I have been renting a car for my wife to take the kids to school for almost a month and it has cost me about $800 to date and i am still renting the car. The buick enclave is still at the dealership at the current time.the dates the 3 incidences occurred(i.e. Car stopped):2/11/2019, 2/22/2019 & 3/18/2019. I attached invoices for 1st two incidences.

My car make model vin number is not included in the service airbag recall but i am experiencing service air bag issue. I only have 37,677 miles on the car! in addition, i just needed a new ac compressor and compressor condenser hose.

The power lift trunk closes unexpectedly.it has been doing it a few times and it is very dangerous as it does not stop when something stops it. It closed on my head and pushed me inside the vehicle - it injured my head with the impact drawing blood.it is scary how dangerous this is!!

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while at a stop sign, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact was unable to control the vehicle and crashed into the side of a house.there were no injuries and a police report t was not filed. There vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.

This particular problem is with the cruise control mechanism and it's ability to manage the command which is given.the 1st occurrence happened in 01/2014, on the 1st drive of the day. Temperature was 44, sunny and roads were dry.i locked in the cruise control at 55 mph and when i went to decrease the speed and lock it in at 45 mph, the cars speed increased 10 mph after one press of the cruise control button.the car quickly increased its speed until i realized what was happening and pressed the brake. The following week it happened 2 other times at different speeds (50 mph and 40 mph). In the first instance the cruise was set at 40 mph and i wanted to increase it to 55 mph. After only pressing the button twice, it jumped 15 mph displaying a cruise speed of 65 mph. In the 2nd instance, i was decreasing speed from 55 mph down to match traffic (no specific speed was intended) and it increased the speed 10 mph after the 4th or 5th press of the cruise control button.i have actually witnessed the speed change on the display and add 5, 10 our 15 mph quite a few times now. Each time the car willincrease its speed after a few seconds delay.there has also been multiple incidents where i was trying to increase speed and it actually decreased speed.after multiple instances, i brought the car to the gm dealership in carson city, nv and expressed my concern. They said they could do nothing as they couldn't duplicate the problem.though this happens quite frequently, it does not do it every time. It must be noted that it does not happen at a particular speed, and happens both on increasing as well as decreasing your speed.thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.

I was driving in town at about 25 miles an hour when my vehicle shut off the traction control and my vehicle wouldn't go above 15 mph. Dash said service traction control.

I was driving down the highway and all of sudden the vehicle jerk back hard and i loss power andstabilize system shut down and could drive no more than 20 mile an hour.it gotten worst that my truck is jerking and shaking.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal got stuck in a partially depressed position and the brakes would not stop the vehicle when engaged. The vehicle was placed into neutral before crashing. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnose the failure, but the physical damages were repaired. The failure mileage was 2,000 and the current mileage was 2,700.

Driving on hwy at 60 miles per hour and sudden engine reduce power and stability track light are on. Can drive car more than 30 miles per hour now. And occasionally a back fire.

Slowing down to stop for red light the car speeded up by itself. I had to press very hard on the brakes to stop the car .

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that while driving at any speed with the cruise control engaged, the vehicle would fluctuate between driving 5 mph faster or 4 mph slower than the intended speed. While driving uphill, the vehicle would drive approximately 4 mph slower than the intended speed. While driving downhill, the vehicle would drive approximately 5 mph faster than the intended speed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 750. The vin was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. While driving 15 mph, the windshield began to fog up. The contact had to pull over repeatedly to clear the windshield. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the defroster flapper valve failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Later, the air temperature on the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle varied. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure recurred. The vehicle was repaired again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 47,462.

Windshield defrost blower does does not blow onto windshield, it blows into the vehicle cabin.windows not defrosting. Stationary or moving, makes no difference.

The contact owns a 2011 buick enclave. The contact stated that the defroster failed to function. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,000.updated 02/10/16*lj
