The contact owns a 2007 bmw k 1200 r sport motorcycle. The contact stated that there was a strong gasoline oder coming from the vehicle. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that there was gasoline leaking from the fuel pump. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump assembly was leaking and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v617000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 10,122 and the current mileage was 13,000.
