Front passenger seat occupancy sensor mat is faulty and is affecting srs system.
I just purchased a 2006 bmw 750i. Beautiful car. I saw that it had a recall. So i took it to the bmw dealership in charlotte nc northlake to get it checked out because i just bought the vehicle. I told them about the recall and they said they would check it. It's the year 2016 and they tell me that the recall was for 10 years and that they wouldnt repair the problem. My car is 10 years old and i dont understand why they wont repair it. And its a very serious problem for me and my family. The airbag is a very serious recall. Was just hoping that i could get some help with this issue. I dont feel as if i should have to pay for the repairs on such a serious defect. And it was a recall for a reason

I started getting an error on my i-drive about a month ago stating that there was a problem with my air bag/restraint system and found the recall notice on the nhtsa website.i called my local dealer and made an appointment to get it repaired under warranty.i was told that bmw currently does not have a recall for this issue, and was forced to pay using my extended warranty.i ended up having to pay $260 out of pocket after deductible and extra charges because my extended warranty company did not want to pay the high hourly labor rate of the dealer.so i had to pay the difference.i told the dealer about the recall on the nhtsa site & they said that unless bmw has it in the system showing that it affects my specific vehicle, it is not valid...

I took my car to the bmw dealership in 2012 because i noticed oil in my garage.i was told there was no oil leak and nothing was wrong.i reported in 2013 that the 'add oil' indicator was coming on less than 2,000 miles after an oil change and was told there was nothing found that need servicing.in 2014 i took my car back because my oil indicator stated i needed to add oil and i was told i had an oil gasket issue that would cost $11,000 to correct.i took my car to the dealership 3 times while it was under warranty and was never told of any problem until after the warranty expired.the same is true with the transmission; i had my car serviced while under warranty but wasn't told of a transmission malfunction until the warranty was expired.i have to add oil every 3 to 4 weeks and my overdrive is not functional.now i am experiencing a problem with the drivers door; it won't close at all but i was told that my car is not on the recall list for the door malfunction.
Over the last 4-5 years, have had multiple transmission related issues.there have been 6/7 transmission oil leaks that had to be fixed and refixed.2 guibo joints have been replaced over this time.over the last year and half, the transmission failure light has come on 30+ times when stopped on the road.upon accelerating the car jerks into gear and moves forward.twice over the last month, the car was stopped, engine running, and in park.the transmission changed from park to neutral by itself just about causing me to unknowingly roll into ourhomes fence.
Continuation of affected parts: latches/locks/linkages and parking brake, your site states recalls for 2006 bmw 750i, but bmw said there is no recalls for my vin.i have been having multiple safety issues with this vehicle. I have been having problems with the latches/locks on all four doors, they repeatedly go lock and unlock. I was driving down the street with my 3 year old grandchild and his door came open.the car also accelerates and shuts down almost like is going to stop. Parking brake light will not go off and it makes a grinding noise.
The vehicle has had a dead battery numerous times with dealership diagnosing rear trunk lock, then rear doorhklmodule, then reencode vehicle,, battery replaced twice, was not retrofitted correctly, redone, continued to have dead battery requiring jump starting, submitted case #29008954 to replace vehicle, denied. Replaced dme and programmed vehicle, cas,lm and dme failed during programming. Reset battery and reprogrammed until passed test. On 8/23.2011 again car would not start, jump started with transmission fault light on...called bmw and they said to drive in to dealership. Driving on the freeway at 75mph, the vehicle jolted and faltered so calling i pulled over 6 lanes to side of fwy to call dealership that it was no longer safe to drive. They towed in. Diagnosed for 2-3 weeks and returned. Problem with dead battery has continued to this date where i keep a powerful battery charger in the car. It would not start on a public street so bmw said to drive in to dealership again and are now diagnosing. Initially called after 4 days to say it was a bad battery which is not the case as it is evidently an ongoing electrical or software malfunction draining the battery. I have requested this vehicle be purchased back by bmw or some resolution as i no longer trust or feel safe driving this vehicle. I am now waiting a response from the dealership.
There was a recall a couple years ago regarding the parking brake actuator on my vehicle.the dealership in jacksonville, florida states they repaired it.however, i am still having the same issue now and the parking brake actuator sensor light is flashing on my dashboard.according to the description of what can happen if this is faulty and happen, i am scared for my life to drive the car.

While driving about 20 miles per hour approaching a stop, the car shifted into neutral and on the dash indicated the gear is now "n", then steering wheel locked and i could not turn to pull off the road. I want to start by saying, i have owned 7 series since 1991, my first purchase was the 735i, 745 and now the 750i. The 750i is by far a much better driving machine, however with all the problems i have had with it, i wish i would have kept my 745i!!! it's been one problem after another! now, i have a problem with the car rolling forward or backwards while park!!if you hit the start/stop button it would go into park(the indicated "p" lights up) but then the car rolls forward depending on if you are park on a incline/decline. Since that started, now i get a message stating ?transmission fault? and it will not shift out of 2nd gear!!!the self-close driver side door works when it wants too!!! at this point, i will not allow my wife to drive the car for fear that she will get hurt with my kids in the car! it actually rolled into my garage door while sitting in the garage!!! i am sure that i?m not the only person with this problem, this needs to be correct immediately! i have complaint to several individuals within bmw and no actions seems to be taken to help remedy this problem. I have spent over $10k in repairs and continue to have problems!!!!

I had my car to the hunterdon bmw dealership 8 times for my car refusing to leave neutral. Their factory bmw engineers checked the car twice and found no problems, the mechanics could never find the problem. They just kept reprogramming the computers till it ran. I finally gave up since bmw refused to help me. I traded the car in on 4/1/13 because i feared it would stop running again, and bought a cadillac. The problem with this is i received peanuts for my car because of it history, no dealers wanted it, they knew it was a lemon. So bmw sold me a lemon and i ended up with a worthless car, and a year later they admit it was a problem. They knew all along by the hundreds of complaints that they had a problem, and ignored it. There were hundreds of people on web pages complaining, and all of them were ignored by bmw.

Rollaway: certain model year 2005 through 2008 7 series equipped with the comfort access option and manufactured from august 23, 2004 through july 24, 2008 have an electronic key and an electronic connection between the gear shifter and the transmission (shift-by-wire) that automatically shifts the transmission to park when the driver presses the start/stop button to shutdown the engine. If the engine start/stop button is pressed 2 or 3 times within a short time interval, the system may shift the transmission to neutral rather than park. If using the electronic key (comfort access mode), there would be no protection from the ignition interlock that prevents key removal if the vehicle is not in park.
Brakes suddenly became very hard to engage.it took quite a bit of force to bring the car to a complete stop. A mechanic informed me that the brake booster system had failed and that bmw had a recall for the system - 10v-466.i called bmw warranty and informed them of the reason for my call as well as the vin.they told me that there were no outstanding recall notices for my vehicle.while no one could tell me when, the fact that there were no outstanding recall notices on this vehicle apparently indicating that the correction on the car had been made.after a lengthy debate about what this meant and why bmw said they had no more responsibility for the issue, i asked to speak to a supervisor.i got sarah (employee #7716), an escalation supervisor.very nice but essentially told me there was nothing she could do, that bmw was not responsible for this matter and there was no one that she could escalate me to. If the correction, as spelled out in the recall notice was in fact made, it did not work.the actual language used in the recall notice under correction states as follows: 'the updated brake booster vacuum supply line with fluid check valve is to be installed in all applicable vehicles to eliminate future contamination.' (the emphasis is mine) i had esc save all of the parts and they have confirmed that in fact the brake booster was contaminated with oil which caused the membrane to fail.to me, this means one of two things: 1.the updated booster vacuum supply line with fluid check was never installed in my vehicle; or2.the bmw solution to the problem was faulty.as for the brake booster vacuum supply line, it appears that the line was replaced at 97k miles in august of 2013.so what good did that do?it failed again, (i have all of the parts) in less than 5 years.see documentation attached.

When i first bought the car i had problems with the air conditioner, since then my car has been in the shop almost monthly for problems with the engine and the transmission and steering.bmw writes on the yellow sheet that they have you sign with what you tell them but when you go back the invoice that you are given is different that what you signed for. I recently learned that when i noticed that the invoice does not have the information that was written when i was in front of the service advisor. Which means that when you are asking for copies of you repair order the information is different than your original complaint.

Have a 2006 bmw 750i and was out running errands. I stopped at the dry cleaners to get my clothing. I only turned the vehicle off for about 10 minutes while i went inside the dry cleaners. I paid for my items and went to restart the engine but when i put the vehicle in reverse no movement happened. I shut the vehicle down completely and restarted it. I put the vehicle in r for reverse and it switched back to p for park. The vehicle again was turned off and restarted and it did the same thing nothing. I called my spouse and he was able to put the vehicle in reverse by edging the vehicle while in reverse mode. While my spouse was backing out of the parking space the vehicle jerked. I often notice that if i park on a hill and go in reverse the vehicle jerks and makes a loud noise i just had the vehicle serviced recently and according to the inspection that the bmw service did the transmission is good.

This vehicle has become a money eating one.the problem started with a jolt. The car would make a jumping forward movement similar to been hit from the back. I took to several mechanics including bmw dealer and made server repairs base on recommendations but the problem continues.eventually, the car will cut off and shifts from drive to neutral while driving.i took to bmw dealer several times but the problems was not identified so no solution was possible.at one point the entire system died and i was told by a mechanic that i needed a new alternator and battery - this did not stop the problem.eventually, i was told by the bmw dealer that i needed a new transmission. I took to local transmission person who installed a rebuilt transmission.the car was ok for a few days then another problem occurs.when in parking position the level does not go to p it shifts to n - again!after i spent so much money.i was told by the mechanic that the car is actually in park but he has no idea why the computer is not doing the right thing. I am going crazy with this situation and wish bmw would do something because their cars are extremely expensive but instead of getting the value i ended up getting a money eating vehicle.
