Takata recall - to whom it may concern,in march 2016, bmw sent me a letter informing that under recall campaign #16v-071, my vehicle (# [xxx]) has a defective driver?s front air bag.as this is a critical safety device that could be the difference between life and death ?.. I would like this repaired immediately.in this regard, please have the woodlands, tx bmw contact me in the near term to set up this much need and critical repair.thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.regards,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall. It has been 18 months since we were advised of recall and they still do not have contacted use to bring our vehicle in for repairs.

Car caught fire parked in the driveway. Battery charger was connected. Unknown cause of what started the fire.car had approximately 152,000 miles. Association to recall 17v676000.

Was dismissed by bmw stating that my vehicle does not fall under the safety recall 17v-683 ' positive crankcase ventilation (pcv) valve heater ' ('blow-by-heater'). Despite having the discribed issue which has blown 3 fuses over a period of one week. This dismissal despite the engine type and year being mentioned in the recall.note: recall deems the vehicle unsafe and potentially harmful to me and my family.

My daytime running lights bulb failed. Upon opening up the sealed headlight bucket, i discovered that the positive and negative wires' insulation was brittle, cracked, and missing in places, potentially allowing for a short to and possibly a fire to occur.

The contact owns a 2007 bmw 335. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v676000 (electricalsystem). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

The contact owned a 2007 bmw 335. While driving 55 mph, an abnormal odor drifted through the air vents and the vehicle caught on fire. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road. The contact stated that the fire was coming from the engine compartment. The local fire department extinguished the fire and a police report was filed. There were no injuries; however, the contact inhaled smoke. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000.

High pressure fuel pump & vacuum lines tank 1 & 2 failures.turbocharger & waste gate failure as well, fuel sending units developed hairlinefractures that cause fuel to leak on exhaust manifold likely to case a fire was told not to drive car luckily the mechanic notice the leakage.no more need to to say, you guys are aware of this do some about it please! i never purchase a bmw ever again!

I was driving my car home from work one day and the car started loosing power and when i started the car the next day it had a rough idle i have not even had the car 6 months yet. The car now back fires and i don't know what the problem is and i just want my car fixed.
