Was notified about recall for my car.when i called i was told there were no part to service my problem and added to waiting list.i am still being told they do not have the parts to service recall and it has been almost 3 months!

After several months, the passenger side air bag warning light illuminated permanently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a technician advised the contact that the failure could have been caused by the front passenger seat sensor mat but a diagnostic testing would have to be performed to determine the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 08v384000 (air bags:frontal). The approximate failure mileage was 29,000 and the current failure mileage was 50,500. Upon receiving a safety recall for both airbags back in november 2016, i have requested repeatedly to my local dealer (bmw of atlantic city) to remedy this for over a year now. At first i called the service department and was told i would be contacted once the parts arrived. Then, and after months of waiting i called back and got the same response. I called their main office at that point and got the same line from them. Finally i email them early january and month has passed with no reply.... Please advise on how to replace my faulty airbags....thank you...john

I have contacted dealer advantage bmw midtown - 713-289-1200 for months and they indicate they are still waiting on the part.meanwhile, i am driving around in an unsafe car.

Bmw 335ci 2006 rear tail lights short out frequently while driving and do not display turn signals. A fault is shown on the dashboard. This happened at night while the vehicle was in motion and does not go away. My wife was driving down a main street at rush hour. The car just stopped running and would not restart. To leave the vehicle my wife had to take her life in her hands to get across the busy street. It was fortunate that this did not happen on a busy freeway or she or someone else may have been seriously injured.
I am writing this department in hopes to resolve ongoing major manufacturing defects on the bmw 2006 325i's. The 325i motor is well known for aluminum bolts snapping on the motor resulting in significant oil leaks and oil pressure. The intake manifold gasket and bolts are well known for prematurely failing and the head of bolts snapping off under pressures. The valve cover gasket and oil pan is also known to prematurely fail due to poor engineers and the utilization of aluminum bolts. Bmw fixed the issue in 2007 and replaced defective bolts with iron bolts. The irony is that bmw refuses to acknowledge the issues in the 2006 bmw 325i. Consumers are on the hook for thousands of dollars worth of repair bills because of faulty engine components. The national highway traffic safety administration has received several complaints regarding this manufacturer defect. The aluminum bolts have been redesigned since discovering the manufacturer defect. Bmwna have had numerous service issues related to these defective aluminum bolts. They have all openly admitted that the bolts in question were defective in nature and production, and that the bolts have been redesigned to avoid future failures. Some of these complaints included, and resulted in, vehicles leaking oil in the engine area causing fires in the vehicle. The defective bolts pose a serious potential risk to the safety of the owners of these vehicles, as well as to other drivers who share the roadway with them. It is my strong belief that this type of public safety risk cannot go on any further without proper intervention from the governmental agencies we employ as taxpayers.
I am the original owner of 2006 325i with 42,000 miles. On january, the car suddenly alarmed warning signs on ca highway #5 and started to make loud noise and shakings. At that time, i was pregnant and with my 2 year old baby on back seat. The situation was happening on the highway! i was so worried about driving safety. To solve the problem, the dealer shop asked me to replace head gasket aluminum volt and housing gasket. It did cost over $4000. During the repair, the technician said that the problem is common on this model. I researched about this problem and read many complaints about same issues from bmw 2006 325i owners. The owners agree that the head gasket aluminum volt and housing gasket issue result in manufacture defects. Later, bmw changed the volt materials and provided good will repairs for some owners. I strongly assume that this is one of manufacture defects cost customers to repair as well as threaten drivers? safety. So i called bmw customer relation. But they said that ?keep the receipt and you may get refund when ?there are enough people complain about it???you are more than welcome to report this problem to nhtsa?.? i asked about how many customers had same problems. But they said "do not know". Based on their response, it seems that they knew and understood it is manufacture defects, but do not care until the issue is lousy or handled with powerful authority. It is threatening driving safety of not only the owners but all other drivers on highways because it does not give any signs before broken on highway. Therefore, i am reporting this issue while hoping that no other drivers or babies get hurts from this sudden defects and you could do investigate it in depth so that you could protect all other drivers? life.

Headlight wiring insulation is deteriorating and falling apart. Right side headlight wiring is completely damaged and headlight does not work.
Drivers side low beam started flashing when car hit bumps and while turning the steering wheel to the right. Opened bulb access cover to check the bulb and found that the majority of the wiring inside the headlight assembly has hardened and flaking insulation, exposing bare copper wire and allowing it to short out. Removed the headlight assembly for a more through inspection and discovered the same damage on the high beam wiring and deterioration on the entire wiring harness inside the light. Serious safety risk as well as fire risk.

To whom it may concern:i am very frustrated with a current problem involving our 2004 bmw 325 ci (convertible) and the auto dimming rear view mirror.our vehicle id is pl32177.the mirror has leaked releasing the corrosive acidic material used in the mirror. In 2004 the bmw technology booklet hi-lighted the auto-dimming mirror advantage, "innovative technology frees you from having to reach up and reset the mirror's dimming mode manually.......represents yet another contribution to driving safety".i now understand this problem has occurred to far too many bmw owners and that bmw is not standing behind its contribution to driving safety.why wasn't a recall made when this problem was first identified.the corrosive material leaked onto the passenger leather bucket seat and the center console eating away the material.our bmw dealer, rockville bmw, wants to charge $585 to replace the mirror, $200 to replace the console area and then gave us a phone number for someone in virginia to discuss fixing the leather bucket seat.we love our bmw, (even have a second 2010 bmw 325xi) and do not understand why this is not covered by a recall as a warranty issue. Bmw has known of this problem for years and never notified car owners that this issue could cause severe damage when it occurs.
