Seat belts/airbag lights keep coming on. They have replaced the harness in the seat, belt buckle, reset the light and now they say the seat belt module now has to be fixed. I believe this is from the recall that has not been done on the car which is the airbag module.the light came on when you sat in the seat or just driving along

The contact owns a 2008 bmw i35i. The contact stated that while at a stop light, another vehicle crashed into the rear end of the vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained knee and shoulder injuries that required medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was drivable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was repaired of the accident damage, then later was taken to momentum bmw dealer, located on 10002 southwest fwy, houston, tx 77074, phone: (855) 645-6452, where the vehicle was diagnosed of a faulty air bag and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted and made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000. The vin was not available.

Takata recall.i received notification from bmw in march 2016 concerning the need to replace the driver's side airbag on our car.to date, i have not heard from bmw.i recently sent an email to their customer relations.i have not heard back from them.i think that nearly a year to replace this airbag is unreasonable.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v071000 (air bags);however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Bmw issued a recall notification in march 2016 for driver's front air bag module. As of may 15, 2017, 14 months later, bmw dealer reports no parts have been made available to any dealers in north america to be able to make the repair, and no information on when parts are expected to be available.

Air bag light was on all the time. Possible loose contact pin tension for left side airbag circuit. Drivers seat airbag contacts on wiring harness side had to be replaced.

Takata recallnotified by bmw in march 2016 butstill not repaired.

My vehicle is a low mileage (36k) well maintained car. My local dealer replaced the driver air bag under a recall june 29, 2020. Shortly after within 250 miles/2 months a srs/air bag system fault/warning started happening. It was diagnosed as a faulty pass occupancy sensor that they want $3600 to replace. Unfair, there have been several pass occupancy sensor recalls for other models of the same vintage (2006-2008).this should be covered under the 15 yr extended limited warranty offered to other bmw model owners.

Takata recall. Disable & enable air bag system 2 scan srs, drivers side during accidentpart type 72 12 6 981 121

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer (bmw of alexandria, 499 s. Pickett street, alexandria, va 22304) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recallbmw has stonewalled me! they say i can have a loaner. Wonderful, except it's not a bmw since all late model bmws have been recalled.i can't sell my car because no one would want it pending a recall that has not been addressed by bmw or takata.when i inquired about the recall loaner agreement, i was told i would need to sign an agreement for a 2-3 year rental and not drive my car except for a weekly startup and back and forth in the driveway to be sure the battery was good.i am now looking into a class action suit. I have several friends with more recent models subject to this recall andthey are hopping mad and ready to go to court. It is completely unacceptable that neither company, bmw and takata, have owned up and shown what they will do about it. Instead, all we customers hear is "yes, it's a terrible situation, but there is nothing we can do but offer you the loaner."well, there is something we owners can do. We are a litigious bunch!!

An electrical fire ignited under the passenger seat and passenger floorboard. Flames came out from under the passenger seat and floorboard. The driver sustained 3rd degree burns and was taken to the hospital skin grafts. The car was moving at the time of the fire.

The plastic insulation on the headlight wiring has flaked off leaving the wires completely bare in some places. This has resulted in the loss of a drl, headlight ballast, and adaptive headlight motor. This is a well documented issue online, from bmw owners of multiple years/series. In fact, there is already an nhtsa complaint on the exact same year and model as i have.this issue is dangerous in multiple ways. The loss of lighting at night could result in an accident, harming both the occupants and people nearby. The highly charged bare wiring could short, spark, and cause a fire. The continued destruction of headlight bulbs, motors, etc is harmful to the consumers and economy as those parts can be very expensive.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. While driving approximately 50 mph, the engine loss power with the illumination of the warning indicator. The vehicle restarted in the low power mode. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis. Thecomputer software was updated and replacement of the fuel pump. The vehicle exhibited poor acceleration performance after the repair. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they informed that the vehicle experienced a turbo lag which wasassociated with the newly installed fuel pump. The failure continued to occur. The failure mileage was 2,000.updated 01/13/11updated 01/24/11

2008 bmw 135i and my blower motor stopped working as i was driving a few moment later and i started to hear spark and smelt burning wires so i immediately thought of the safety recall that is being done on the 3 series bmw's i instantly turned off the climate control and fan speed and shut the car off i looked over and saw a little bit of smoke coming from under the passenger side so i went into the trunk and took the negative cable off the battery i then waited a few seconds and then took the kick plate off the passenger side to take a look at the blower motor and i find burnt broken wires coming from the part of the harness that connects into the blower motor i instantly unplugged it and tape it up with electrical tape once done i proceeded to call up my nearest bmw dealership and after explaining to them what happened they told me that there was nothing i could do but pay out of pocket to get it fixed because my car wasn't covered under recall so i hung up the phone and call bmw of usa headquarters and spoke to some guy that proceeded to tell me the same thing the dealership told me and that i would have to get a diagnosis done to prove it was the same issue that has happened on the 3 series even tho it's the same part numbers and same symptoms. I asked him if i went there and proved that it was the same issue would i be covered and he proceeded to tell me no that a recall is based off of statistics and that even if my car went on fire like a lot of the 3 series did that there is still nothing i could do because my car wasn't on the recall list.

My issue:one morning i started my car to leave for work. When idling it felt a little rough but stopped after just a minute or two. The next day it also was rough but escalated to a shaking and the check engine & the service engine soon light both came on. I took it to a european auto mechanic to have it checked out. Their code reader said there were two cylinders misfiring. What they told me is there is no way at 52k miles there are bad injectors, it must be the gas station i had used. They recommended i run a take of gas from a chevron or shell and all should be good. That is what i did. The problem persisted. I then took it to the service center at chapman bmw on camelback in phoenix.i left my car there on a friday afternoon (luckily there are courtesy vehicles), i got a call monday from my service advisor. He let me know that i have 4 bad injectors but recommends to replace all 6 because there has been an updated injector for this engine. He also informed me that there was previously a recall for the injectors in this engine that included only select cars. Mine was apparently not one of them.i was without my car for 5 days and i had to pay $2,106.10 to replace injectors on a car with only 52 thousand miles. From what i know and have heard about bmw, the injectors should not be an issue until at least the 100k mile mark.my question is, how is it ethical for a company can make a customer pay $2100 on a repair that they know is an issue? if it wasn't an issue there would not have been a recall on some cars. The fact that my car is only 2 thousand miles out of warranty adds to the frustration, clearly, mine should have been included in the recall.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. The contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact coasted to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle functioned properly, but the failure recurred several times later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and they stated that there was a waste gate leak and some vacuum pumps needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they could not provide assistance because they were under investigation for a possible recall. The failure mileage was 45,000.

'08 bmw 135i started to suffer long engine cranks followed by engine dying with associated engine warning light.engine failed to restart after 6 attempts.the engine finally started after the 7th attempt and was able to drive the car to the dealership.the high pressure fuel pump is suspected as failing.

Driver's side tail light malfunctioned.does not work at all.this has been a known defect for this model and year of vehicle for over a year.dealer will replace malfunctioning tail light but will not replace the other tail light until it malfunctions which could happen at any time and is an unsafe condition.

After hitting road pothole adaptive headlight warning light on dash illuminated. Placement of complete headlamp assembly quoted at over $2100 plus tax. Dealer repaired headlamp mechanism more than once for about $700 each time but problem with water intrusion resulting in adaptive headlamp warning light occurred after car went through automated car wash (each time after repair it only took one wash to set off the warning). Mechanism clearly is affected by water intrusion. Good thing is headlamp still works and car runs fine. Bad thing is that proper repair is exorbitant and adaptive headlamp warning lamp is blocking other key display information -- time, temperature, radio station info, status of bluetooth. Very annoying and dealer says there's nothing that can be done without repairing the headlight. I feel like i am almost being forced to make the repair simply to restore vehicle dashboard information. Again, headlamp works, just not the adaptive mechanism. I wanted error "coded out" but dealer refused saying it must be repaired.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. The contact stated that the led tail lights failed to illuminate. The failure occurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in the manufacturers recall related to the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

High pressure fuel pump failure on 2008 bmw 135i with n54 3.0l turbo engine. Symptoms were long cranks prior to starting.replaced under warranty.

Car hesitated and stopped running on the freeway.

My bmw 135i has 16,000 miles on it and i have had to high pressure fuel pump failures.the car is unreliable and dangerous.

I would often hear a liquid pumping sound on when put onto reverse after ignition. Serviced at bmw dealership but they oddly were not able to replicate the problem. I could replicate it every time.one night the car started with long cranks. "reduced power" warning came on and car was sluggish, jerky, and could not go above about 30 mph. Took it in to dealership. The fuel pump was replaced with new pump. I asked how come it wasn't replaced when i reported the problem earlier. They said they don't replace it until the pump actually dies. This is not a very safe practice.

Vehicle is a bmw 135i, model year 2008, convertible. Car suffers sudden and complete loss of power at high speed and often during high-traffic, rush- hour speeds on moderate incline sometimes with minimal safe shoulder and median. This the 6th incident over the last year and a half.bmw of san diego replaced fuel pressure sensor and multiple high-pressure fuel pumps. We have barely avoided multiple accidents. We are scared to drive our car.

I was going approx. 65mph in 5th gear in my 2008 bmw 135i coupe when the car stuttered and i got a service engine soon light.brought my car to bmw service and my service advisor told me that i have an issue with my fuel pump and it needs to be replaced.the car only has around 5000 miles on it.

While driving on a busy, 45-mph road, my car lost power suddenly and began to shudder when i applied the gas pedal.i was losing speed and unable to accelerate.i had no choice but to put on my hazard lights, and pull into the nearest parking lot i could find.after researching the problem, along with scanning the car for any error codes, i discovered that the high pressure fuel pump (hpfp) had failed and needed replacement.oddly enough, this was the 3rd hpfp that has failed on this car.

High pressure fuel pump ( hpfp ) failed. Driving my '08 bmw 135i the car started running rough. The next day it stalled on a road and had to be towed to a bmw dealer who replaced the hpfp.

Bought 2008 bmw 135i in 7/2008. Within first week of ownership message came up stating "engine malfunction, reduce power"car has been in numerous occasions-each time bmw assures problem is taken care of. Reasons given fuel pump, injectors, gas issue and lastly adjustment not done at factory as it should have. So, car is back in the shop as it again sputters and shakes heavily -trying to pass a vehicle on two lane hwy- vehicle slowed itself to 50 mph and i was nearly killed by having to pull back in traffic as i could not pass due to lack of power. We plan to file under lemon law-been in multiple times-has occurred 5-6 times and we are done.

My 2008 bmw 135i started taking 10-20 seconds for the vehicle to start.the problem has been ongoing for a couple of months now.i took the vehicle to a bmw dealer and complained about it.the dealer informed me that bmw informed them that it was normal for the vehicle to do this. And told me that they couldn't change the fuel pump, which has been known to go bad on this vehicle, until a code was detected.today, while trying to merge in traffic on the highway, the car suddenly had reduced power and i couldn't accelerate.i was very fortunate that there was no car behind me or the incident could have been disastrous.the car also showed an icon on the dashthat indicated the car had gone into limp mode or reduced power mode.this is a serious safety issue, which could have resulted in serious injury or death if a car had been behind me.please look into this problem before someone is injured.

My high pressure fuel pump is dying ...ive had the low pressure fuel pump changed and i'm still experiencing a rough cold start and half block engine light symbol ...car has a idle problem at start come and go and now i can only fill a half tank of gas ...

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135 i. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who stated that the high pressure fuel pump failed. The high pressure pump was replaced twice, however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and extended the manufacturer's warranty. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 2,000. The current mileage was 34,000.

My car suddenly lost acceleration while i was driving on a freeway then the engine died.

Fuel pump consistently takes longer and longer to start the car.

Cars' idle has been fluctuating for a couple of weeks at idle. Vehicles fuel pump has been replaced 2 times already through out it's life. Last week (july 13,2017) car died in the middle of the road and i had towed into the dealershipthat same morning. Dealer refuses to take any initiative to fix the problem at all. I have software where it shows that the cars vehicles high pressure fuel pump is failing. Car is throwing codes too. Car was in motion when fuel pump died on me in a city street.

I was driving down the highway and the water pump went out.the car overheated and the warning light came on telling me to turn the car off.before i was able to pull over to the shoulder the car stalled and i was unable to propel it forward any longer.i pulled over and had to get it towed.

Fuel pump went out while driving.

Air bag light was on all the time. Possible loose contact pin tension for left side airbag circuit. Drivers seat airbag contacts on wiring harness side had to be replaced.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. While the contact washaving his vehicle inspected he was informed all 4 run-flat tires housed on his vehicle needed to be replaced within 6,000 miles of usage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where he was informed that the tires would need to be replaced immediately due to developing bubbles in the tires tread. There were no prior warnings and the current and failure mileages were 11,000.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. While driving approximately 3 mph in a parking lot, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into a pole. There was no personal injury. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer and collision center. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000. The vin was unavailable.

Went to have a 'slow leak' fixed (passenger rear), and they discovered i have a crack on the inside of the rim.

The contact owns a 2008 bmw 135i. The contact stated that the alloy wheels had cracked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician verified the failure and stated that the wheels needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 38,000.

-the contact owns a 2008 bmw i35. The contact stated that the rear wheels were cracking on the inside. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer because the tire indicator light illuminated; the dealer stated that the problem was caused by driver errors and was not covered under warranty.the failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was approximately 25,000.the consumer stated bmw refused to acknowledge that their rims are defective and crack as a result of normal driving, especially their 18 inch rims when coupled with run-flat tires.bmw claimed the cracks must have come from the driver impacting some object like apothole, rather than a result of a defect in the design of the rim.the consumer believed the rims were designed too weak to take the impact of normal on-road driving.the problem was exacerbated by the run-flat tires, which were very hard with strong sidewalls resulting in too much of the normal force from small speed bumps being transmitted to the rim rather than absorbing some of the shock in the tire. Updated 02/01/11.

The rear right wheel was cracked at 5 places around the circumference and lost tire pressure, discovered by costco tire center in everett washington when brought it in, in august 2014, thinking that the tire got a nail.bmw seattle declined to cover the tire by warranty stating that i bought in 2009 and it is above 5 years so no warranty on it, i had to buy the after market set of rims (vmr model 701) that does not fit totally with the car and would like to revert to use the original set with a replaced rear right rim. I took pictures and sent in 2 days ago to bmw as the set of rims i bought for the car do not really fit.the original cracked rim has a manufacturing defect as shown in my photos taken from inside the rim looking out: the aluminum material show a riddle irregularity at several places. Bmw calls me today to re-iterate the refusal for the rim replacement.

Cracked 18" alloy wheel with oem run flat tires. Wheel size is 245/35r18, tire is bridgestone potenza re050a run flat (oem tire). Cracked wheel is on left rear, wheel is cracked on along interior of wheel. No known road collisions have occurred (i.e. Haven't hit any potholes, curbs, etc of note).
