Cpsc:working with my mechanic, it was discovered overthe course of 2 months, that the front seatbelts and several of the airbags had either been disabled or removed. *dt*dt
I began the process of buying a new bmw in december 2015. Now that i can devote time to the process, i called bmw westchester, ny and toldi can not order my new bmw due to the 2013 bmw having a recall. There is no remedy for faulty airbags at this time. Therefore i am stuck witha bmw that is now financed by bmw, that has airbags that could explode at anytime. This airbag issue has been going on since 2014............bmw needs to be proactive!!!!!!!!
Nothing -- yet.but bmw refuses to replace my airbags, as required by law.
Takata recall - in march, 2016, i received a letter from bmw informing me about recall campaign no. 16v-071: driver's front air bag module.my driver's front air bag module will be replaced free of charge when parts become available.i feel 11 months is an unreasonably long time to wait for this.
The contact owns a 2013 bmw 128i. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v071000 (air bags) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable.the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.the manufacturer was made aware of the issue.the contact had not experienced a failure.vin tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall - when i bought my used vehicle at a bmw dealership on 4/13/2015, i was not advised that there was a recall on the takata airbags on the vehicle.since that time, the dealer has not corrected the problem.
Even though a recall is on the car, my bmw dealership will not fix this.
Takata recalli am writing to complain about the timeliness of this recall on my car.i was informed of this recall at the beginning of february of this year.it has been over 10 months i haven't heard anything back about the status of when this recall is going to be fixed on my car.every day i am driving the car wondering if i am safe or not with the airbag in my car if an accident would occur.people have been hurt because of this, people have been killed because of this.i am disappointed at bmw's as well as the governments response to this recall.please get this recall fulfilled so i can feel safe driving my car.
Takata recall...it has been over 6 months since i have been notified that the car that bmw sold me is a death trap. At any moment i could be hit, or i could hit someone and this horrible death bag (airbag) could take my head off.i am not comfortable driving this car on my bumper to bumper daily commute through san jose california traffic.nor am i in a position that i can trade it in for a less deadly model. I feel like 6 month has been far long enough to drive such a risky car, and there should have been a fix by now. How does bmw like the sounds of a mulimillion dollar lawsuit if i die because of the lethal airbag they chose to install in the car that i trusted would be safe.i want a replacement car now!
I was notified of the airbag recall on february 2016 and to this date , the recall has not been fixed due to parts not being available. Please advice on the next step.
Don't know the make of the air bag but the recall was over a year ago.the dealer has not had the air bag replacement in stock this entire time so they have not made the recall replacement.[xxx] [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'

Takata recall, the car is bmw 128 2013 pre-owned certified. The dealer where i purchased the care is fort lauderdelate import of pembroke pines florida. At the timei purchased the car 24 months ago, the dealer was aware of the issue of thethe engine defect of my car, still the dealer made the car a pre-owned certified. During the time i had the car, i was several times at the dealer for issues with the car and neither one of them fromthe services department or the salesman or the finance manager informed me of the air bag issue.the salesman by the name ofcollin, the finance manager by the of jim catell didn't want to let me know of the recall. I wanted to changed the car because of the lack of power and the changes of the engine in the highway, i was at the dealer repetitive times and both employees from fort lauderdale imports pembroke pines didn't let me know of the air bag recall. I learned from anther bmw dealer that the 128 had a recall and to drive. The car had another engine failure on the highway and contacted bwm customer relations 3 months ago, they offered to repair the car. 3 moths later i still don't the car in my possession and i am paying for it. Mean while i am driving a rental from enterprise that is not an equal to the car payment i have. The car ended with another dealer since the people at fort lauderdale imports were so unethical and corrupted. Please have an investigation about the engine defect and air bag recall for the series 128 convertible. I am a bmw customer for 15 years, i had over 7 bmw in the last 10 years and continue buying and trading every 24 months. The car i have at this time has lost value after the engine defect issues, and the air bag recall. Bmw is not responding to my calls and there is no one to follow up with about it. I have no bmw in my possession and i am making payments for a luxury car full of defects. Help!!
Takata recall...i am worried about the time frame of this recall.it's taking far to long.i think at some point the manufacture must own up to the suppliers they choose for their vehicles and solve the issue in other ways.i don't feel safe driving my car, and it's fair that i have to wait this long for the car to be fixed.i want either my money back or a new unaffected car.the lemon law states that any car that cannot be fixed is either returned or replaced.this is a lemon of massive proportion!

Bmw is stalling unnecessarily and will not fix my recalled airbag(s).
"takata recall"i have called two dealerships to have my airbag replace and my airbag light is also on and they say the part would have to be ordered and it would be 2 weeks (united bmw gwinnett) and i asked to speak to the manager and i left a message and it has been a week with no response.this a dangerous car at this point to drive but bmw does not seem to be taking serious ly.i then called nalley bmw and the said it would take two weeks to get the part in.i am scared for my life if this airbag deploys and my grandchildren are in the car.how can we expidite this service to get my car fixed or do they want to pay for me to get a rental, or do they want to take the risk of the airbag hurting me or my grandchildren?

Takata recalli own a bmw series 1 128i year 2013. I received a notice on september 2017 stating that there is a defect on my air bag , and to make an appointment at the nearest bmw. I have called bmw of fort lauderdale and bmw of pembroke pines unsuccessfully, since i am told they don't have the replacement and need to order. They never have called me back. I also called customer relations and i was told the whole country is working on the recalls and the airbags are not available.i am concerned for my safety. I was also told nothing could happen to me in an event of an accident...so why the urgency and nobody is helping remedy this important safety recall[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Driver's side door lock/latch (actuator) occasionally will not unlock using normal physical force, only unlocks with electrical assistance from unlock button on dashboard or key fob. Could be dangerous in an accident where battery power is cut off (by design) - the occupant is unable to egress and remains trapped inside vehicle. Others have experienced similar problems with these lock actuators on other doors and on other models (per forum discussions). Bmw will not cover cost of repair if outside of warranty. Bmw part number 51217202143 (system latch)
I purchase vehicle from bmw may 3,2013,with 40 miles showing. The dealership had to jump start vehicle to get it started and off of show room floor. I asked about that and was told it happens all the time. After test drive and purchase i drove vehicle home 220 mile. For the next week every time i tried to start vehicle it would not start and acted like a dead battery. Made a appointment with service dept. May 15 after driving 25 miles i heard a loud noise "bang" and smoke. Coast off hwy.stop car open door and saw flames coming out from under car. Jump out and start to store within 5 seconds heard loud "bang" turn around and saw car total engulfed in flames. Vfd show up, tom green county tx. Sheriff made report. A bystander made viedo and photos of vehicle burning that i have. I escape being engulfed in that fire ball by seconds. If there would have been in a child seat it would never have survived! this should not happen to a car with only 300 miles off of show room floor.i hope this event is looked in to before the worse happens.vehicle is with allstate clame#[xxx]. From the feed back i get from bmw and the dealership i dont think they take this event serious. [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The car was redesigned and the rear head rests don't go all the way down,as a result, when a short person is driving, the headrest blocks the rear window - as you cant see out the rear window , it is extremely unsafe.the service people at multiple bmw dealers agree that the design is flawed but, bmw management refuses to fix itas they claim everything is working to their standards.
I was applying brakes to stop... I was a considerable amount of distance from the car in front of me.i applied brakes and the car would not stop.pressed on brakes even harder, and car still would not stop.car glided into suv in front of me, causing a crash.it was brake failure which caused an accident.
