Airbag light on passenger seat sensor not working properly

The passenger airbag sensor is faulty, it exhibits the exact issue that the recalls son other a6 but for some reason it is not included in the recall. Happens randomly

With only 53,000 miles on my 2013 audi s6 both turbo charges failed and audi is now charging me $9,000 to replace both turbo charges which are supposed to last 100,000 to 125,000 miles. This issue occured while on the road idling at a light and caused the car not to be able to start and to shake the vehicle violently.

I am having a major safety issue with my car and it seems like audi of america (aoa) does not seem to really care. It all started in aug 2015 and a bunch of fault codes came one. The second time, i believe, was jan 2016 and i was driving on i-95 and suddenly about 5 fault codes showed up while i was driving. I was traveling about 70mph in the middle lane. The car's steering stiffened up and i could not accelerate. Luckily no one was next to me and i was able to pull off to the shoulder. This could have been a major catastrophe if i was not able to pull over with the amount of traffic there is on i-95 including lots of semi-trucks. I turned the car off and turned it on and i slowly drove home. I also drive this car with my newborn in it everyday. I called my local dealership and flat bedded the car to them. They saw the fault codes and were obviously concerned so they talked to someone at aoa. They ended up changing a module and assured me that it was fixed. Well on june 8, 2016 it happened again. Again i was lucky because i was on back roads with no traffic. However, i did happen to have my newborn with me! i am furious because his life is in jeopardy now. I immediately call aoa instead of the dealership this time and they opened up a case. Aoa said to flatbed the car again to your local dealership. After 3 days, the dealership tells me there is a ground fault with the car. Aoa called me and said they fixed it but this is what they "assured" me of last time. I believe there is a serious issue with that car and no one should drive it. I do not want to jeopardize my life, my newborns life, or anyone else's life.aoa will not change my car for a new car. It seems to me they want to risk having a lawsuit against them should anyone get injured or die if this happens a third time. I want out of this vehicle.mileage shows it happening 3 times. Car will under factory warranty.

Transmission coolant valve failure.audi has issued tsb for several models related to same failure mode. Coolant sprays from coolant valve onto electrical connectors internal to transmission causing corrosion within the connectors.two fault modes.1. Vehicle fails to start as vehicle doesn't know transmission condition (neutral, park or otherwise). 2. If you can get it to start - vehicle is in limp mode service 2wks to replace failed valve and repair corroded electrical connectors within transmission

There have been numerous recalls for my 2013 audi s6 pertaining to the turbocharged engine.most recently, over the last 2 weeks i noticed decreasing gas mileage and increasing turbo lag but the car still ran "normally" overall.then, 1 day ago it made intermittent metallic sounds at startup but then still ran normally.then, the next day the car had the same startup sounds but then had a rough idle at stoplights.i stopped for gas and the car wouldnt restart at the gas station.it was towed to audi where the car was diagnosed with catastrophic failure of both turbochargers and quoted approximately $10,000 to fix.being a 2013 audi s6 model with 60,000 miles on it, it is outside of audi's 48 month/50,000 mile warranty.this is known issue for 2013-2016 audi sedan owners, particularly the 2013 s6.this car was previously owned by someone who had it serviced at audi dealerships and i have purchased audi care maintenance packages which i have had performed at their recommended intervals at the dealership for the last 3 years.there has been a technical service bulletin made for this known issue.i had a previous engine tsb that audi originally had me pay $2300 for to fix, however a year later i received a recall notification and that money was refunded.there was also a previous recall relating to the turbocharged seals and coolant lines.all of these service recalls have been performed.clearly there is a engineering issue with this model engine.

Oem turbos fail due to oil starvation , caused by oem oil strainer and pvc valve ( several revisions have been made since cars was produced ) also numerous others have had the same issues

Turbocharger experienced a failure. Car was diagnosed and the turn shafts have excessive end play.

After driving the vehicle under normal driving conditions, i arrived at my destination and without any warning or dash lights the vehicle shut off roughly. Since it sounded weird, i tried starting the vehicle back up again. The engine would crank but wouldn't start. The vehicle was inspected by a volkswagen dealership where it was determined one of the two turbochargers had failed. The passenger side turbine wheel was broken and the driver side turbo was showing signs of the turbine wheel catching the housing. Both turbos were replaced along with the turbo oil screen.

Turbo failure

The turbos on the s6 failed after only 50,000 miles.this makes the car have dangerously low power and nearly undriveable. This is an extremely common occurrence for audi 4.0tt models, and audi even issued a tsb regarding the issue to it's service centers.but to date, audi has not rectified the issue or made contact with those who are out of the warranty period.blown turbos cause all sorts of issues, including potential engine damage, cylinder misfires, fuel pressure issues, and over-heating.on my particular vehicle, the turbos failed simply by starting the car after sitting in the garage for a few days, undriven.cost to replace turbos and make repairs is $10,000 to $15,000.

Turbos are damaged and the dealer said it will cost $13,000.00 to fixi had warrantee till 120k or 7 years and it happened at 7 years one month and 116,000 miles.audi of america where not willing to help even though there was grinding that occured two months before the warrantee time.it happened when in motion driving from startup.

Engine experience a sudden loss of power while driving on the highway at highway speeds. This was very scary as i was with my family. I pulled over and engine completely cutoff and failed to turn over. Had to get car towed over 50miles to the audi dealer where they diagnosed the problem as blown turbos caused by a clogged oil screen which is buried deep in the engine not easily accessible and found out audi has revised this part a few times car only had 42675k miles and was maintained through there maintenanceprogram.

I put my car in reverse gear and then pressed slightly on the gas pedal. The car didn't move. I checked my hand brake and regular brake. Both were disengaged. So i pressed a little more and more. The engine began to growl like crazy and the car refused to even move. Then all of a sudden the car just launched itself. I nearly hit another car. It was very scary. I switched the car off and then tried again. This time no trouble.similar thing happened when i was exiting a parking lot. Fired my car up, put my car in "d". Pressed on the gas pedal. Car wouldn't move. Pressed more and more, nothing !! the engine was growling like crazy all this while. Then suddenly the car launches itself like crazy. I almost hit another car coming from the opposite direction. Again, when i shut down the car and switched it back on it seemed to work fine. This happens very often.i have written to audi but heard nothing.

Failed turbos causing engine to run rich and stall out at any stops making the car inoperable at low speeds. Many reports of my2013-2016 audi s series turbos failing/blowing out. Tsb issued for such issue but no recall. Audi of america replacing with my2017 turbos that have all new parts numbers since this is a known issue with my2013-2016 turbos.

Car stopped while driving on public road and shut off while on road. Cel went on and all systems lit up on dash as failed. T

Suspension control arm bushings worn out causing squeaking and unexpected vehicle path during acceleration in all situations. Oil filter under pvc valve clogged and starved turbocharger of oil causing failure.

2013 s6 with 64k miles suffered turbo failure while driving.the engine stalled while driving and stopped in the roadway.numerous restarts were attempted before it finally restarted and allowed for a short drive to get off the roadway.this is not an isolated incident and there are numerous similar failures with the audi 4.0t engine.audi is aware of these failures and has issued tsbs that identify the turbo oil supply line filter as the culprit but they have not issued a recall.had this failure happened on a highway at speed it would have been very dangerous.

My turbochargers failed, which i understand is not uncommon with this engine. It was driving normally. I stopped for an errand and it restarted with great difficulty. I then drove some additional distance and it stalled in traffic. It stalled repeatedly whenever the rpm's fell below 2000. I ended up running a red light, to avoid slowing down, knowing it would stall. Fortunately, i was in an uncrowded area. It looks like audi has already issued a technical service bulletin regarding the propensity for turbo failure. I would like to see more than that happen.

I was driving at approx 65mph on the highway when all of a sudden i lost significant engine power in my vehicle.i tried to accelerate and could not so i pulled over and the car immediately stalled and i had to have it towed to the repair shop.the issue is a result of the turbos in my vehicle are damaged.mechanic said there is a known issue related to a screen that filters the oil that can get clogged overtime and cause oil starvation to the turbos increasing heat and ultimately causing failure.audi has released a tsb for this fault with updated parts however these issues continue to plague vehicles like mine that have otherwise been taken care of.the repair costs for this could be upwards of $9k all because of a design flaw.not to mention this could be dangerous if loss of power occurs on the highway which could cause an accident.

Car suddenly had a "rough idle", i.e. Shaking 1-2inches back-and-forth while in idle, after driving for 20 minutes at normal conditions. Shutdown car. Attempted to restart car, but the engine would not turnover the first attempt. Tried again - engine started the second time.no check engine light appeared, so i assumed car was safe to drive. Drove car to dealer for service, and then i noted that the car started making a feint grinding noise when accelerating. Technician noted that both turbochargers had failed, likely due to inadequate oil flow. Car has 60k miles on it, so a catastrophic turbocharger failure this early-on was unexpected and potentially dangerous (car could have stalled due with engine being starved for air), and no check engine light appeared to indicate something was severely wrong with car.this issue appears to be wide-spread based on discussions available in online forums: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/806039-boom-goes-the-turbo

Turbo failure at 62,356 miles. Car has been into dealer for all required maintanence. Turbo failure occurred while driving on the highway with my family for a family gathering. Car went into limp mode and nearly stalled on the highway.i was able to pull off to a safe spot and there was an epc error on the dash. The car would not restart. Towed to dealer, and received a repair quote for more than 10k.i believe there are many other customers facing similar issues and audi should look into this issue and cover the repairs.there is a tsb out from audi regarding this.i have contacted audi of america and waiting for a response from them for goodwill repairs.

The turbos on the car both broke at the intermediate shaft before 75,000 miles. The car was cruising on the freeway, and the moment i slowed down to take the exit, the car lost power and shut down. I had to make an emergency stop on the side of the exit with little to no room to pull over.

Engine shut down while on freeway at 60mph speed due to turbo failure.60,000 miles on engine. Issue caused by oil pickup screen being clogged and starved the turbos from oil, thus resulted in failure and engine shut down.

While driving on the highway vehicle lost power. Upon exiting the highway, i noticed a rough idle. Next morning vehicle failed to start normally (push to start) on multiple occasions. Needed to press the gas pedal significantly. Brought to independent auto repair shop for diagnostics. Was told oil separator had failed and turbos had both failed. Repaired at my (significant) expense. Vehicle is completely stock. No engine modifications. 93 octane gas. All maintenance as per manual.

While driving vehicle stalled on craig and clayton street had to get it towed was told was lack of oil to turbos and turbos blew

Took in for 70k service because of loss of power and was notified turbos were bad, had both turbos replaced along with lines.

Having just exited the interstate and stopped at the end of the exit ramp, my 2013 audi s6 started to stall as i was turning onto a secondary road. I managed to pull the car over to the side of the road before i lost all forward power, avoiding traffic in motion in proximity to my vehicle. The car would not restart after a check to insure things such as a proper amount of fuel was in the gas tank. After repeated attempts at starting the car failed, i had the s6 flat bedded to the nearest audi dealer for repair. I spoke to the dealership several days after the incident and they diagnosed the problem as two failed turbochargers. The failure was attributed to the turbocharger oil screen clogging problem. I was told the replacement (parts + labor) would be in the $12,000+ range. I authorized the out of warranty repair as the car was in excellent and well maintained condition and i was not ready to scrap it. The dealer several days later informed me that audi corporate had reviewed the failure and was willing to absorb 75% of the estimated repair bill as the s6 had just come out of warranty and had been properly dealer maintained. Several weeks later i was able to pick up the car with a payment due for repairs (after audi 75% coverage) of $2674.26 with the new turbos installed and the s6 was now running properly again. I now hesitate to use the car for any long trips on the highway due to concern i may have a recurrence of this turbo failure even though the car is being dealer serviced properly at the suggested intervals. Further, i believe this inherent problem has diminished the resale or trade-in value of this 2013 audi s6. I was forced to rent a car for several days to return home after this failure which in total cost was $500+.

Vehicle was in motion when it started shaking roughly. The car stalled and wouldn't turn back on.i had it towed home and was able to diagnose seized turbo compressors. Replaced the turbos which fixed the problem but at an enormous cost.
