My air bag light is on , scan says that igniter is shorting too ground, passanger side issue q3 's are built on the a3 platform and should be covered under the a3 airbag recall 2015-2019

The electrical system has failed twice with no warning. The car had to towed to the dealership the first time to have the battery replaced. The second time we could jump it and drive it there and they replaced the battery again. The dealership advised that there is a known electrical short or current leakage affecting q3s. I brought my concern to audi but they refused to do anything about it.the first time it happened it had been parked overnight in my garage and would not start. The second time it happened after it had been driven during the day. Both incidents were in atlanta, georgia. The car is 2 years and 2 months old.

Backup camera and alarm system failed to activate resulting inback-up collision with another car, no personal injuries.ownerwas not warned about delays in camera/alarm activation at dealer orientation.owners manual provides no such warnings.p 87 of manual, last item under "infotainment system" mentionspossible delay in camera activation.no warning at all about delay in backup alarm activation.vehicle was stationary at parking lot exit gate.driver lookedover shoulder and in mirrors, saw nothing, engaged reverse, saw blank screen, no warning alarm, backed into another carwhich was below visibility but directly in range of backup camera and alarm, which activated on impact.dealer repaired my car as courtesy.audi corp claimed no product defect despite facts as above, supported by documentation including statement by driver my car and other car. Actual defects as established are :delays inactivation of back up camera and alarm system, and failure towarn owner/driver by dealer and owners manual.dealer was responsive.audi corp reaction was similar to thatof parent vw of na with emission control issue, denying defectutil confronted with conclusive proof. Dangers to cars orchildren behind backing vehicle are obvious given reasonablerelianace on backup camera/alarm.driver was used to a vwjetta (same corp product) for which camera and alarm systemsactivate immediately when car placed in reverse.

The radio to the vehicle becomes non-operational intermittently, i.e. This has taken place in the past two consecutive days. Start the car in the morning, and noticed no radio, and loss of volume control. After a period of time, the radio becomes functional, and the volume control is enabled. This has not taken place when i bought the car new from the dealership, however recently it has become an annoyance, and distracting.the vehicle in question is parked nightly in a garage, and this occurs when starting the car in a stationary position, and continues during backup out of the driveway, and moving forward onto the street.

I was driving and smelled fire/smoke from the dashboard.there was the start of a fire and smoke started coming out from behind the mmi screen.the connection for phone got choppy but did not go out completely.

Today wednesday, february 8, 2017,at approximately 11:00 hrs.ihit the button to power down the driver side window.the window recessed into the driver side panels, howeverthe window reset itself to the top of the window electronically moving up and down without any promptingon my part.i tested all the other windows that function correctly. However, the driver side window continued to operate independently on its own without any prompting from me. This issue continued for over 2 min.i had to literally, pull over off the roadand place the vehicle in park and turn off the engine.after a few minutes i engaged the vehiclesstart button.i again rolled up the window, this time without any malfunctions.

The contact owns a 2016 audi q3. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start properly and would constantly decelerate while in the middle of traffic. Failure of seal between injector and fuel rail caused fuel to be sprayed into engine compartment. I believe the injector seal was damaged during a prior service.fuel sprayed onto the front of the engine and gasoline fumes filled cabin. Check engine light came on after engine died from lack of fuel. Safety issue is the accumulation of gasoline in the engine compartment & the car continues to pump fuel. No apparent safety measure to cut off fuel when excessive fuel is being delivered to engine. I repaired vehicle, but only replaced the bad o-ring and another o-ring that appeared to be damaged. I left the other 2 o-rings in place.i couldn't find a contact for audi that could address my concern. My concern is the design. The seal between the fuel rail and the injector is a pressure fit seal. If the o-ring seal fails, fuel sprays out through the failure point into the engine compartment. Fumes in the engine compartment could be ignited by the sparks inside the starter or other electro-mechanical switching that generates sparks. Vehicle is available for inspection.

Passenger-side rear seat belt buckle (latch) no longer secures the seat belt tongue (latch plate). Repeated attempts were made to engage the tongue and reset the buckle with no success. Seat is currently unusable.

Power steering failure on audi q3 2016my car has failed on me twice. The problem is that the steering wheel stops working during long commutes. It has happened twice that during a 100 mile journey, i stop the engine and start it again and the steering wheel is stiff. The first time i called road side assistance but just before they dispatched a towing truck i started the car again and the problem wasn't there anymore. This happened on may 19, 2017.the second time it happened the same way. After a 100 mile drive i stop and start again and the steering wheel was stiff again. The second time was june 3, 2017.on june 8, 2017 i took the car to audi arlington for repairs. On june 9, i received the diagnosis from my service consultant. He explained the computer found a problem with the power steering module, its faulty and it has to be replaced, the service consultant explained that they have to reach out to audi to claim warranty. One week later (june 16, 2017) the service consultant explained that audi is not going to fix the problem because they want the steering stiffness to occur again before they are willing to replace the faulty module. The service consultant said that they have to release the car back to me and explained that when it happens again to take it back to them.my audi q3 2016 is under warranty with 5800 miles on it and its already breaking.the steering is fundamental for operating a motor vehicle. For all i know i could be driving on the highway and the steering stops working. I would put my family and the life of other drivers in danger. All this because audi wants to save money. Its unethical and irresponsible. It makes me wonder if there's anything else wrong with my car and they are not saying anything, i'm seriously doubting their integrity at this point. On multiple occasions (8/26/16, 9/23/16, 9/26/16, 10/2/16, 10/27/16) the vehicle will not start as it is not recognizing the keys. The computer system says "no key identified." after more than one try to start the vehicle, the brake locks. The car has been to audi on 3 occasions to troubleshoot this issue. The first occasion (9/23/16) a system update was performed on the vehicle. The vehicle was picked up on 9/24/16. On 9/26/16 the car would not identify the keys again upon trying to start the vehicle. On this second occasion, the car was brought back to the dealer (9/26/16) and key batteries were tested, the gateway module was removed rewrapped in nashua foil tape and reinstalled and tested again. On 10/2/16 "no keys were identified" occurred again. 10/3/16 the car was brought to audi dealer for a third time. Both keys were replaced by the dealer and programmed to the car. On 10/27/16 the car was left unlocked, off and in park. As i tried to start the car, i received the message "no key identified". Immediately after the message disappeared (3-4seconds), the car alarm began going off. I hit the unlock button on the keys from inside. Next, i opened the door, shut it and attempted to start the car again. I received the same message on the dashboard. At this point i deemed the vehicle unsafe to drive and called roadside assistance. On all occasions "no key identified" appeared, the alarm of the car has gone off, the car has unlocked and locked itself without pressing any buttons, and an image of an orange steering wheel with an exclamation point has appeared on the dash when trying to start the car. In all instances, it took me multiple tries to get the vehicle to start. It is important to recognize that while this is occurring the car is off in park. Furthermore, the dealer has been unable to duplicate my concerns in the time frames they have had the vehicle.

Driving on the highway at approximately 60 mph, all of the sudden the car loses control and is fishtailing. I was able to regain control and pull off the road at an exit ramp. The passenger side rear tire was completely blown out. I do not recall running over anything or hearing a pop, the tire simply exploded. The tires are continental contiprocontact 255/40/19. The tire pressure sensor did not indicate low pressure before the blowout or following the incident.
