I received a bluetooth cell phone call while backing up in reverse, and the backup camera tv screen to my surprise was overridden by the phone call screen, losing my backup view.

I contact audi of concord, ca in november of 2018, to have the after-run coolant pump replaced. They placed me on a waitlist, i have never heard back from them almost a year later.

Nhtsa recall number: 18v229 manufacturer recall number: 19n4recall date: i was notified of this in december of 2017.nothing has happened yet, but it is sept 10th 2018 and there is no solution. I was unable to make a trade-in of my vehicle due to the unresolved recall issue. I do not think this has been taken care of in a timely manner.

Audi of seattle confirmed 1/22/2018 that my car is functioning as designed, but i believe this design is unsafe and undesirable.specifically, when driving in reverse using the backup camera view, if i receive an incoming cell phone call to my paired phone, the car prioritizes the telephone screen view over the backup camera screen view, which immediately disappears.backing up is of course a time when the driver's arms and hands are not well positioned to poke the "ignore" button on the phone screen.

Check engine light came on while on the highway, transmission would not automatically shift up beyond 6th gear (8 speed transmission) at highway speeds.transmission could be shifted manually into 7th and 8th gears, but engine was lugging on level highway at 60mph.audi service center states the hydraulic timing chain tensioner has failed, causing engine timing issues that could result in catastrophic failure if driven further.the car has approximately 87k miles on it and has been meticulously maintained since purchased new.there are numerous internet sites detailing an ongoing problem with vw / audi engine problems resulting from the hydraulic timing chain tension mechanisms.many consumers are reporting repairs of several thousand dollars.my concern (aside from repair costs for a known problem) is what happens to an engine that has a catastrophic failure at high speeds on a busy interstate?ironically i had made an appointment for safety recall campaign 80c5-auxillary heater.the vehicle was brought into the audi service center in bloomington indiana on friday, january 5, 2018, at 9:45am and repairs are not yet complete with no estimated time for completion as of tuesday, january 9th.

I currently have 56k miles on my car.it is less than 5 years old. The dealer told me i need my timing chain replaced.there was a class action settlement with the same problem in the 2013 model.would my car also qualify?

I parked my car and when returned show power steering is defectve when i search the defect on internet show several similar cases

My vehicle has only 36k miles and has not been through any puddles or potholes.one day i drove my car down the street back to my garage and as i was parking i received a notification "steering defective do not drive".the steering rack and pinion had to be replaced costing $3,000 (part was $2,127).the repair shop indicated that after speaking with audi, they were informed that this part has been superseded 8 times indicating that it was a bad design.there are many cases that i have read online that have the exact same issue.

No incident caused this to occur - randomly one day steering wheel became very stiff and difficult to turn - an issue at both low and high speed - intermittent so no idea each time go to change lanes or turn a corner if going to be able to turn the wheel - initially it is sporadic, however, with time/use occurs much more oftenlots of information/complaints online - appears to be steering shaft / seizure of u-joints:there was a audi issued tsb 481461, that covers this problem.a revised part was issued for the intermediate steering shaft that corrected this issue. One or both universal joints was subject to seizure. 8k1419753h was issued and supersedes previous editions (53a-53g). Recommend owners ensure there exists no excess play in either immediate shaft universal joint after lubing.

2014 audi a5 with approx 62k miles.the steering system has begun to offer inconsistent resistance to driver input, which impacts driver's ability to judge the amount of force needed to turn the wheel to the desired position.when turning the wheel from center to either stop, there are several sectors where it feels like the assist is working, and several where the steering gets heavy and hard to turn.the issue occurs at various speeds and while stopped.it seems similar to issues reported with 2013 a4 and a5 models.

When turning, the steering feels stiff and occurs even when vehicle is stationary
