Takata recall.received notice of recall in january 2016 and have yet to hear when the airbags on our call will be replaced.it will be over a year in three weeks and there appears to us to be no progress made to replace this dangerous airbags.
Takata recall.received recall notice feb 2016. Our 2010 audi a5 cabriolet has been scheduled twice with audi jacksonville to have the takata airbag replaced.both times we have been told, after the car arrived, that they did not have the parts and they could not get information from audi on when they would get the parts.audi jacksonville even scheduled the second appointment saying they had the parts and when car arrived said they did not have the parts.first appointment was october 28, 2017.second appointment was december 6, 2017.still no word from audi on when parts may arrive.
Takata recall:i received the urgent recall notice in the mail and first phoned to make an appointment for hte repair.i was told that they needed to call me back to schedule due to lack of available parts but more than a week went by and i did not receive a call.i went in person and was told that they do not have parts, i cannot order theparts or schedule the urgent repair and that i should call back every couple weeks to see if anything came in to match my model.i was told that there is no way to place an order or for them to track the incoming parts to notify me that my repair can be made.this is poor service when my recall notice says that this is an urgent safety recall and should be scheduled immediately.it seems that nothing is being done to account for the scheduling of these repairs, the inability to order the specific parts for each model when the repair is requested is incompetent, and the inability of the dealers to be able to contact the vehicle owners to inform of the incoming receipt of parts and schedule the repairs is also an incompetent method to issue an urgent safety recall.recall notice received is available upon request.
Takata recallsafety recall was received last april 2016.as of today, audi claims they have no replacement parts and that the ntsa says it's safe for me to continue driving my car.i would like to know how i can get my car repaired now.
My dealer has no eta on the replacement airbag inflater delivery so i can not get it replaced

I asked my audi dealer where i take my care for all care and maintenance about replacing the defective air bags. I was told the parts were not available. I asked about being given a loaner car until the replacement parts were available. I was told there was a long list but they would put me in the list. That was almost 1 year ago and still no mention of the loaner car or fix. When i expressed my concern about the safety hazard i was told that "audi hasn't had any deaths yet". I told him i didn't want to be the first. The last time i asked i was told that the replacements/repairs would start on the west coast in september 2017 but no idea of when my car would be fixed. Why is the consumer left with no answers and driving a potential death machine? why isn't audi being pressured to fix this? when can we expect this to be fixed? hopefully, before i am involved in a potentially fatal collision (which will end up costing much more in lawsuits than the repair would cost.
Takata recall.my 2010 audi a5 was recalled in february because it contains a takata airbag. Audi says the replacement parts are still unavailable. When i check the nhtsa website for priority groupings for the replacement, i was shocked to see it's not listed anywhere. What is going on?

Engine light came on when starting car, had some difficulty accelerating. Car taken to dealer within 24 hours. Dealer diagnosed timing chains, head, tensioners and turbo needed to be replaced. Car has approximately 83000 miles and has been serviced at conshohocken audi since purchase from prestige lexus (with 7000 miles). Audi has "offered" an 75% discount on parts because i "have been a good customer" (except the turbo which they say is not a fault of the engine defect). I am responsible for 25% of parts, all taxes for all parts, and labor. When i called audi customer service to question their responsibility and ask for additional financial support, i was warned by the audi customer service rep not to continue to say negative things about audi or their offer of 75% would be taken back.this is not only an expensive repair but a safety concern b/c you can have complete engine failure and loss of steering. Audi refused to accept responsibility for this engine defect and the downstream effects even though there was awareness of this potential in 2010. There are 3 class action suits related to this problem but there needs to be more public awareness of this potential safety issue and increased public notice of audi's lack of concern or responsibility to repair/replace the affected parts with no cost to the consumer.
