Takata recall - this recall is 2 years old. Audi still does not have parts to repair my affected vehicle. They do not know when they will have parts. When will i be able to get my car repaired? will i ever be able to get my car repaired?

Takata recalli received a safety recall notice from audi, a 69n2 notice stating that "takata has reported that the driver frontal airbag inflator could potentially rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the frontal airbags are designed to deploy. In the event of an inflator rupute, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, which may result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants."i called audi usa today and was told that they currently have no repair program available to deal with this problem, they could not even provide an expected date for the repair to be available, and that loaner programs are not available nationally and it would be unlikely that my local dealer would be able to loan me a vehicle until such time as my car is repaired to a safe driving condition.this is clearly completely unacceptable so i would like to make a formal complaint against audi. All i am requesting is the vehicle is repaired and if it cannot be repaired that i am provided with a safe car to drive in the interim period. I feel you need to be aware of the position audi are taking in not providing remedy to such a lethal problem as i am left truly shocked at their lack of concern for the safety of their customers.

Takata recall.i have scheduled with my local audi dealer two times to have this airbag recall replacement completed, and both times, they have called me to inform me that they a) do not have the parts, and b) do not know when they will get them.this happened again for the second time today, 11/14/2018 with royal motors san francisco.according to https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/vinlookup these parts were expected to be available in april of this year.it is now mid-november, 7 months late.this is unacceptable for a safety item such as this.why aren't the parts available, and why don't they know when they will be??until then, i'll be continuing to drive this potentially dangerous vehicle.

Takata recall my car is subject to a takata recall that audi announced in january 2018 (final remedy recall for takata airbags) ; i receive periodic postcards from audi on the recall- which instruct me to contact an audi dealer and get the recall remedied asap.however, i have called every washington dc area audi dealer every months since january and they refuse to do the recall repair.most say the parts are not available.i have emailed and spoken to audi usa, since the audi website says parts are available and my car can be fixed -nothing says the truth, which is that dealers don't have the parts to do the recalls.audi usa just apologizes but refuses to provide any information or correct/update their websites certainly false state, nets that this recall can currently be repaired. I'm writing this complaint hoping that nhtsa can take some action to encourage a more reasonable response on this recall from audi.

Takata recall: i am still waiting for the second repair to be made on my vehicle regarding this recall. I truly don't feel safe driving my car knowing there is a possibility of the airbag exploding harmful objects into my face in the case of an accident. I am repeatedly being told the manufacturer has not produced the parts for my local audi dealership to finish the repair work. I'm wondering what the hold up is, and what i can do as a driver to protect myself in the meantime? is there a timeline that manufacturers have to complete recall services, and if so, when is that time up? how is this acceptable?

Takata recalli have called the audi dealer to get my defective airbag replaced in june. I have made repeated calls to see when i can have this replaced. The dealer advised they only receive the parts intermittently and will advise us when we are next on the list for replacement. It is october and still have not received replacement. This is my main car for daily use.

Takata recall.dear nhtsa, audi is unable to repair, replace, refund or repurchase my vehicle.this is affecting my ability to drive to work because i can not drive a car i don't feel safe driving in. Having a family member or a client on the passenger seat is not an option because it is dangerous. On december 2016 i asked audi of america to repair the airbag but they couldn't because they don't have the parts; consequently, i requested audi of america to buy the car back from me to which they answered the following:'we sincerely apologize that audi of america is unable to meet your expectation for a vehicle repurchase, we would like to inform you that the vehicle airbag will be repaired per nhtsa. At this time, we do not have a specific time frame available additionally, because the nhtsa will have oversight regarding the repair schedule for vehicles affected by this recall, parts allocation will be managed as per the agency requirements.for additional details, please visit the following link https://www.safercar.gov/rs/takata/index.htmlwe understand that this is not the information you are seeking, however this is the information available at this time. Audi of america will replace the affected airbags at no cost to our customers.'- audi of america (march 2017)audi will not buy the car back, and they are forwarding me to nhtsa to replace the takata psdi-5 driver frontal airbag.please let me know what steps i should take to resolve this problem.thank you sincerely.

Takata recall - notice has been received of takata driver's airbag recall, but no parts available for recall. I cannot safely drive my car now if the airbag may explode and kill me! i have been driving a potential death trap and am very afraid.

Takata recall!please replace my airbag and provide me with a loaner vehicle immediately. I have an infant and refuse to put her or my loved ones at risk due to the negligence of the manufacturer. Contact me at once to resolve this! for the date, i've selected the day i bought the car, so i have been driving around in an unsafe vehicle with loves ones for over 10 years now. This is unacceptable!!!!!

Takata recall.waiting on replacement parts for a year, and after receiving 4 reminders from audi usa. Ellis audi in atlanta advised to call audi usa, audi usa said parts are a local dealer issue, and was surprised dealer transferred my call to audi usa. Dealer said vehicle is a criteria 6 on scale of 1-11, with 1-3 being critical. But could not explain meaning of this. Said takata is the problem.

I live on the island of kauai.audie of america will not let me take it to a dealer other than audi to have this problem fixed.there are no audi or volks. Dealers on kauai. They will not pay to have my car shipped to ohau to fix the air bag at the dealership therewhat am i supposed to do?

Takata recall.no repair to this issue is available nor can i be given an estimate of the time frame involved from audi of america.yet other manufacturers such as honda are already making the repairs.this is a complete outrage. If something happens to myself or family who is accountable for this issue?

Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recallit's been almost 1 year since they recall was acknowledged by audi and they are still unable to provide a fix for my car.

Takata recall.i received a notice from audi, saying that my car a3 2007 needed to have the airbags replaced. I called audi manhattan, to begin to schedule an appointment. They said they did not have the parts in stock but would get back to me. They could not have been less interested. They haven't called me back they don't take this seriously, quite possibly because my car is 10 years old. Nonetheless, it is my life and my passengers' lives that are put at risk by this approach.

Takata recall has not been responded to with actionable options.

Air bag recall taking too long. They keep saying that a repair is not yet available.

"takata recall" - i have been getting notices for a year and still can't get this work performed.i have contacted (800) 253-2834 and they still haven't gotten back to me. Nhsta campaign number: 16v079000.fuel tank ventilation valve nhtsa campain number: 09v37700 never got notice on this recall till i went on your site.i need to know if audi will ever get these parts/service centers to fix it.of course it costs money for them - seems like its just lip service. Can't get a service center willing to perform this work; no parts. Feels like service is blaming parts and visa versa.this is not acceptable.whats the point of a recall if nothing is ever going to be fixed?so far no accident has occurred requiring as it relates to these recalls.does the govt./audi only want to see additional accidents before they get these done. From the date below - certainly feels this is what you want.

I live in kauai, hi. There is no audi dealer. They refuse to send someone over from oahu to fix the airbags.they want me to pay $500 for shipping and be without my car for 2 weeks,in addition there are now 2 airbag recalls one of which they have no fix for and its been 1 year. Meanwhile i am still driving the car and it is very dangerous.i have spent hours on the phone with them and they refuse to solve this issue.

Takatarecall.i have had no information from audi since the initial notice in april.my car will be 10 years old this coming april. According to news media there is suppose to be some priority status set based on age and location but i can not find what my priority is.given the lack of action i would like my priority number or approval to disconnect this safety hazard!

Takata recalli was first notified of this recall in february of 2016.it has been over a year and i have been driving around with a potentially lethal defect.i received a letter from audi in april with an update on how to address this defect, but when i called my local dealer they indicated that parts may not be available for months.this is very unsettling.safety is such a concern for this issue, that other manufacturers have gone as far as to provide their customers with a rental car until a fix is available, yet audi has not offered this service.

I was driving and the car wouldn't shift into 3rd gear so i was holding up traffic and struggled to get the car back home.i was told by dealer today i had two bad coils and the megatronic which controlled the transmission was going out.i heard 2006 models had a recall on the megatronic but not 2007.i cant believe i need to spend $2500 on anew megatronic for a car that has less than 70k miles and i spent 4290 today for diagnostic, plugs, and coils.the previous 2002 audi a4 i hadthe same problem with the coils but they eventually issued the campaign and reimbursed me for the coils.

Defective cam timing chain tensioner resulting in broken chain, missing time and bent valves!very pricey repair.

Car stalled when driving on highway!would not restart.broken cam chain!!!!!very expensive repair at this point!!!!!

Another defective pcv valve which has resulted in more repairs

Engine warning light appears on instrument panel on and off.dealer states its a "intake runner motor".this started within 10,000 after warranty ran out at 55k.dealer suggests replacement before failure.

Vehicle fails to go into gear.just sits like it is in neutral.according to the dealer the mechatronic unit has failed.cost to repair: $3000.because of this issue the dealer says they won't even take the vehicle as a trade in.

My car stald on me at a shopping center located on 32nd street north of mcdowell rd in phoenix,az. It anti locked on me and was not able to start vehicle. Due to this my car was towed from establishment to a tow garage and is still thier. Im unable to take it out due to i dont have the amount to pay it due to i am a single parent and i dont have a job at moment and i recieve unemployment and the car i still owe to car company called second chance auto sales located on 34thst and van buren in phoenix arizona and from my undrrstanding this vehicle has 3 recall issues that i wasnt aware of. My vehicle started acting wierd prior to incident but no mechanic wanted to look at it and i requested help from the company own mechanic and he too never helped me out. I have all info and phone numbers where to reach company's regsrds to this situation.

Defective cam timing chain tensioner resulting in broken chain, missing time and bent valves!very pricey repair.

Car is bucking and gears are slipping while in motion. Issue has continued to get worse. This is my first audi & might be my last.

Hesitation changing gears with dsg transmission when moving from a standstill to low speed. Strange and erratic behavior on highway when shifting gears. Jerkyness in traffic and low speed gear changes. General drivability and safety issues with automatic transmission.

Car stalled when driving on highway!would not restart.broken cam chain!!!!!very expensive repair at this point!!!!!

I have an '07 audi a3 2.0tdi sportback wtih the dsg transmission.i don't know if i am qualified to fill up this form since my car is overseas (in the philippines).i just want to share my troubles with my audi's dsg transmission.when i had about 18,000km in the clock, my dsg started to make some grinding noise and difficulty in shifting gears.i brought it to my garage to have my dsg inspected.the mechanics found out that the circlip holding the clutch pack of the dsg flew off.the fix was done by replacing the circlip of the clutch pack.the car then went fine.fastforward to 2 nights ago (july 10th or about only 1,500km later), my dsg's instrument cluster started showing my the "flash of death" wherein the "prnd" lights kept on flashing accompanied by difficulty in changing gears! i am experiencing sudden lurching on first gear and the reverse gear totally doesnt engage anymore!!!i have my own diagnostic tool (vag-com fromross-tech) and it tells me this "pressure control valve 2 (n216): open or short to plus".i have done extensive research and my mechanics/garage and i have come to a conclusion that the problem is a failed mechatronics module on my audi's dsg transmission.

2007 audi a3 dsg issues. My transmission has very hard shifting on occasion. This happens randomly. Also at times the transmission will get stuck in between shifts. When this happens it is like the car is in neutral. It has a loss of power for 10- 20 seconds. This issue is very concerning as there is no power at all. I am worried that at some point it may stay this way longer, disabling the car completely. I now also have an extremely loud rattle coming for the transmission area. I believe the hard shifting has caused the flywheel to start failing.

Dsg transmission in a 2007 audi a3 2.0t 62,000 miles making significant "clanks" at miscellaneous times (while driving, while stopped, while stopping, while accelerating) as well as not staying in gear, popping out of gear randomly, hesitating to engage once in gear and when engagement does occur (under throttle or not) i get a clank and a violent jerk of the entire vehicle. Other times the car will rev itself up to 2000+rpm's and then engage gears after sitting at a stop and attempting to idle down driveway. It's scary sometimes and i really have to keep an eye and ear on it.

Failure occurs when engine is warm (i.e. During warm weather 65 f+ and/or after engine has had time to warm up after driving for a while). The vehicle lurches and clunks into 1st gear when downshifting, typically when pulling to a stop or driving at parking lot speeds. Also, vehicle lurches into reverse and seems to have delayed shifts when accelerating. All occurs when transmission is in auto or manual mode.

Car had occasional leaks had taken in for fix. Fixed but still had occasional leaks. Going around corners at low speed, occasionally car would jerk when the gas was applied like it has hitting the wrong gear. Had blinking prnds light while on the freeway. Car started rough next day with engine icon flashing. Took car for service, audi tech found loose bolts in transmission pan causing fluid loss and small metal particles in pan. Road test found "hard shift in reverse and 1st". Replaced transmission.concerned that the transmission failure could occur while driving and cause harm to myself or others.

2007 audi a3 dsg transmission.vehicle hesitates on acceleration from stop, 2-3 sec. Delay in accelerating.upon decelerating to stop and restarting, transmission delays shifting into 1st for approx. 1sec causing a severe clunk as the transmission shifts into 1st while engine revs are higher than idle.this problem has increased in frequency in the last 5000 miles.these issues cause near misses merging into traffic and increase the odds of rear end collisions when cars following don't hesitate.

Sense of delay in shifting gears when accelerating from not moving to moving, speeding up, or slowing down.

My car was okay for the first year or so that i owned it. Starting about the beginning of 2009, my dsg transmission started acting funny. When i would let off of the brake, the car would sit for a split second and then jump forward quickly as if i had blurped the throttle. Sometimes it does it twice before rolling smoothly. It feels like the clutch is engaging too strongly and then letting off.also, when coming to a stop, the transmission seems like it holds on to the gear a little too long and makes my car jump forward right before a stop. It does this is reverse also. It has caused me to almost hit another vehicle while parking and also has caused me to go too far into the crosswalk at a stop light. It does this all of the time, not just when the engine/transmission is cold.

On my way to work in my 2007 audi a3-all of a sudden i lose power and my car stops accelerating and shifts into neutral. I see that the p d n s lights are flashing so i attempt to restart my car.it starts to go again andthen sputters forward without me doing anything.luckily i wasn't far from home and was able to restart my car again and get it home while the car revved like crazy going less than 20mph.after some research i have found that many audi/vw's experience this in their vehicles.these are all characteristic of a faulty mechatronic unit associated with the car's dsg.

My 2007 audi a3 has severe, unbearable tire noise regardless of mileage on the tires.i replaced my 1st set of pirelli p6 all seasons way before their tread was worn out due to the road noise only to find that the noise would soon return after approx. 7500 miles on the replacement set.i cannot replace tires every 7500-10000 miles.
