Keyless ignition (push on, push off)possible to leave engine running in garage, creating toxic fumes.had a couple of "almosts".should have an automatic turn off after x minutes.
After not being run for 1 week, there was not enough battery energy to start the engine.battery was replaced by dealership and system was checked.this happened a second time sept. 18,2014 after 5 days of no use.i jumped the battery.this happened again sept 22 after 2 days of no use. Called for service and for dealer to check determine reason for "dead" battery.there appears to be a severe parasitic draw that the dealer cannot locate. Either they do not know how, or something else is going on.
While approaching a parking area traveling approximately five miles per hour and depressing the brake pedal to park, the vehicle unintentionally accelerated without applying any pressure to the gas pedal. The vehicle continued to accelerate after colliding with a parked car. Then, the vehicle caromed off of the parked car, continued to accelerate despite depressing on the brake pedal, and struck a concrete cinder block wall.
My children and i have had respiratory problems since we started riding in this 2013 sienna, purchased new aug 2013.i have complained repeatedly about the odor. We are currently going to arbitration with toyota national on 7/31/2014.my 5 yr old daughter has had a constant runny nose (kids at school call her "walrus nose"). She is devastated, great way to spend kindergarten year, the name calling was so bad she will be changing schools for 1st grade. My eyes get very watery and burn, my sinuses fill and my throat gets sore.we discovered it was the sienna making us sick this spring. My sienna was in for repairs for 3 days and i had a rental 2014 sienna-respiratory problems and runny nose went away. Back in my sienna 2 days symptoms all returned, brought 2013 back for repair etc, again complaining about the odor.they had it for 2 1/2 weeks, changed filters to charcoal, while we were enjoying the 2014 sienna rental and were symptom free (i put 3000 miles on the rental my 2013 has almost 19,000) sometimes i feel like i live in my car.the repair people again they said no odor. Yesterday i had representatives from toyota (national) ride and test drive my car. I even told them when the odor was present, it smells like my old high school chem lab-rotten eggs/sulfur. The odor makes you gag, eyes water, scratchy throat, there is no way they did not smell it!!we have 6 children- our 5 yr old daughter (adopted), our 12 yr old granddaughter, a 4 yr old foster daughter, and 3 foster sons 15,17 and 18. I love my sienna, i need my sienna, i rely on my sienna, i feel my children are safest in a sienna. Comfort for me, and my husband and my kids even in the 3rd row. But i hate putting my children in a sienna that endangers their health!!!! help help- [xxx] usainformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Traveling to a destination in south dakota, north of madison, the navigation system was giving us turn by turn directions to the specific location.with in 5-10 miles of the location the navigation system stop giving turn by turn and informed us that we had to proceed based on our own navigation.the navigation system accepted the address and plotted the route to the location indicating that it could take us to the location.the weather was approximately 15-17 degrees f and it was snowing.many of the road intersections in the rural part of sd are not marked.since the navigation indicated it could take us there we did not prepare any additional maps and there was not adequate cell or wifi receptionfor cell navigation in that area.we were left stranded. The people we were visiting were home and we called them and got directions.the navigation system did this to us 3 more times.one of those times it took us around in circles on dangerous icy snow covered roads with out getting to our destination.we were very lucky the we did not slide off the road or have an accident as several other vehicles did that evening.we notified toyota, took the vehicle in 3 or 4 times, gave addresses to toyota and they said that was normal operation of their navigation system.if this is normal operation of the toyota navigation system it is very dangerous and could strand you in bad weather or in a remote location out of gas, food or access to emergency help.

Vehicle vibrates very violently while braking and going downhill, with brake fading, took it to the dealer and they resurfaced the rotors and the problem still exist. My friend who has the same problem indicated the same issue. The dealer told me all toyotas do that and to live with it.
The contact owns a 2013 amerivan toyota sienna. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal noise coming from the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to be inspected. The contact was informed that the steering intermediate shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
The van skidded off the road due to front (run flat) tires that got completely worn out after driving only18k miles. Due to this skid the front end was completely damaged and the car had to be totaled.
When steering right or left midway and then going back to steering's original position during motion, a clucking or knock is felt on the steering. My vehicle is around 40k miles and the issue emerged for the past two weeks (around mid feb 2016). Not sure if this issue is going to worsen overtime to a point where steering malfunction during vehicleur motion. I called dealership but they do not find it as a recall; however, i noticed other vehicle owners listed similar issue on this website's compliant website.
Original rear hatch handle deteriorated and will not open from the outside.it is a safety issue that you cannot trust it to open.this faulty workmanship should have been corrected by toyota.

2013 toyota sienna purchased 8/26/2013. Mileage 6,000.first road trip (colorado) on i-80 heading west, doing speed limit, 80 degrees outside, rear vent windows open & a/c on & no vehicles near us. Sunroof & ceiling panel were closed.we heard a pop, pulled over and saw that the front sun roof blew outward, looked like a volcano with about 4-6 inch hole in the center. The glass didn't appear to be safety glass. Pieces were 1-2 inches long xwide and extremely jagged & very sharp. Unfortunately we didn't take a picture. Duct tape the sunroof & proceed down the road. Called toyota dealership where we purchased & asked service manager his opinion. We will look at the sunroof when you return. District manager will have to look at your car.denver toyota dealership refused to look at the warranted car saying "we don't replace or repair glass" & gave me the name & phone number of denver auto glass co.cut our trip short and returned home. Before going to toyota dealership, we took car to local auto repair shop to get opinion. Sunroof is tempered glass. He found on the internet that this wasn't the first incident of "toyota exploding sunroofs". Within minutes toyota dealership said it's not a warranty item and a stone must have hit the sunroof.asked about district manager and response was ?who told you that?.outcome is it's not going to be warranty item. Claimed sunroof on my insurance. My insurance company says they are aware of ?toyota exploding sunroofs?. And in the future they may try to recover all of our monies. But then insurance said they would replace sunroof with used sunroof / recycled part.our life's are worth more than $300.00. I paid the difference for a new toyota sunroof.ltd awd.
