The car stop by itself in the middle of the road and i just could make it to pull it over and lights appear on the car dashboard the check engine, the electronic throttle control, and other light that i dont know what it is but it was an "a!" . I turn off the car and i waited for 10 min an i turn it on again and it works but the lights still were there, so i took it to the dealer ship because i have only 4 month with the car and it is an used car, but it has only 19000 miles to have that kind of problems. At the dealership they told me that they dont have space to check the car probably until octoberthat they will call me, but when we went back to home the car did the same it start to drop the speed by itself and stop , and i just parked in my house and i have not move it, thecar has other problems to check, the hookconnections and the tires, but the thing is that the dealership say they have too many cars in front of mine and they will check it probably until october 2020. I really think those vehicles alfa romeo guilia should be checked from the electrical system because life of people is in risk when they just stop in middle of the road.

While waiting for a traffic light to change, the vehicle turned off but immediately turned back on. About four miles later, the same situation happened again but this time it took me a few minutes to get it to start. The vehicle had 1/4 fuel on the tank. After refueling, it drove fine. It was fine again on my way home from work, at least most of the way. When i was near home, it started to shut off and back on at a few traffic lights, but was able to drive it home.
The instrument cluster panel "crashed" and went black while the car was in motion during a drive at night. The lights and turn signals were also not working. This problem persisted for about 2 minutes and reoccurred 2 other times within a distance of 3 miles of operation. Taken to dealer 2/14/19 for repair. Car returned /15/19. Problem reoccurred while in motion, daytime, no turn signals and towed to dealer. Car returned 2/26/19. Problem reoccurred 2/27/19 while in motion during day and lasted 2 min. Car towed to dealer. Car returned 3/27/19. Also on return 2/26/19 and 3/28/19, side mirrors folded in when attempt was made to adjust with control knob, while in motion during day. Car was turned off and switch appeared to reboot. Repair was attempted to mirror controls after firstincident but reoccurred upon first attempt to adjust on 3/28/19. Car has had numerous other software recalls and repair attempts. Dealership refuses to state that car is repaired and/or safe to operate.
The contact owns a 2017 alfa romeo giulia. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly shut off. During the failure, the check engine and auto stop/start warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that an unknown relay needed to be replaced. No further information was available. The contact indicated that the vehicle had been serviced for the failure on multiple occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000.
I purchased this vehicle at the end of may 2017, after putting on about 500 mi within 4 weeks, a check engine light came on, i took it to the dealership, they kept it overnight, looked at it, and called the following day & said there was "something loose that needed to be tightened" and that the car was ready forpick up. I drove the car and parked it in my garage. The following day, i took the car out, turned it around and backed it up to park in front of my garage, i was going slowly (under 5 mph) the braked locked up and the car accelerated in reverse hitting my garage before i could stop it by turning off the engine. I called the dealership, but got no response. A few hours later i had a lunch appointment. Theman i was meeting wanted me to take him for a short ride in the car, which i did. As we returned to the restaurant, i pulled into the parking space slowly, and engaged the brakes, again the car went into sudden acceleration, going over arborvitae trees and into a neighboring parking lot. The dealership was called and the car towed. On both of these occasions i was driving slowly, both times i had my foot on the brake and felt them lock as the car went into acceleration, and both times i had to turn off the car to get it to stop.
The contact owns a 2017 alfa romeo giulia quadrifoglio. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. In addition, the vehicle independently entered "limp home" mode. The brake, steering, check engine, stabilitrak, and various other warning indicators illuminated. Towbin fiat alfa romeo (2550 s jones blvd, las vegas, nv) could not replicate the failure. The failure occurred approximately eleven times. The manufacturer was contacted and started a buyback process; however, they rescinded the offer after the contact refused to put an edr even after expressing concerns of operating an unsafe vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 2,200.

The auto stop warning light illuminated on occasion.additionally, the headlights randomly turned on and flashed for hours while the vehicle was turned off. The contact attempted to turn the vehicle on and off however the failure persisted. Car cluster reboots randomly while driving and fuel gauge / miles to empty radically jumps all over the place - they have attempted to fix 8 times with alfa engineers involved each time claiming it was fixed - attempted to go through stericycle they claimed they are not liable and will do nothing to correct.email from dealer indicates he has 4 others with the same [email protected] was rep at stericycle
While on the highway stuck in traffic, it was a stop and go at very slow speeds. When resuming the acceleration (while in normal from the dna ). I slowly began to accelerate, when i pressed the breaks the feeling on the pedal was abnormal and the car did not stop causing me to hit the vehicle in front of me. It felt as if the breaks did not fully engage, the car just kept going while only pressing the breaks which i repeat again felt as if they did not fully engage. All this happened while going at a very low speed no more than 20mph. No one was hurt as all this happened at a very slow speed. However it scares me to drive the vehicle now. Not too long ago i had it in the service where they performed a fault with the sound system and a misaligned hood. I have also felt the breaks acting funny while coming to a stop light per say, it takes a while for the car to fully stop whether a soft press on the pedal or a hard one. There seems to be a "dead point" when stepping on the break pedal as well.we were able to drive the crushed giulia to the nearest shop. The other party who was hit didn't suffer much damages, on my car, both headlamps broke, hood crushed inwards and the bumper is trashed.i have expressed my concern with alfa romeo but never received a reply.on a side not i have been having constant electrical problems pop up randomly since i purchased the vehicle in 2017. All of which has been addressed by the alfa romeo dealership, however it has been in the service drive over 5 times since purchased.my vehicle has 13k miles on it.
Driving along the highway the car completely shuts down and goes into limp mode. No power steering, no brakes, nothing. Absolutely hazardous and a safety issue. No way to start the car. No way to move the car unless owner goes under the car with a specific tool and unlocks the breaks manually. This is the second time it happened to be. I belong to a group of car enthusiasts which own the same model and several have reported to have the exact same issue.
The auto start/stop feature interferes without warning with the driver's attempt to turn the ignition off, and can make the driver believe the car is off when it is not.this can cause the vehicle to restart and move forward unexpectedly when the driver begins to exit the vehicle.experience: i entered the driveway and came to a stop.i pushed the ignition stop button and the car appeared to turn off as expected.in fact, the auto start/stop system had stopped the engine temporarily at almost the exact same moment i pressed the stop button.believing the ignition to be off i began to exit the car normally but as soon as i moved my foot from the brake the engine restarted and the vehicle moved forward unexpectedly, almost hitting the parked car in front of me.the auto start/stop system takes various factors into account when deciding when to pause the engine, but it frequently turns the engine off within one to three seconds after a stop -- the same amount of time a typical driver will be attempting to turn the vehicle offwith no obvious visual or auditory clues as to what has turned off the engine (the driver or the auto start/stop system) the driver can be unaware that the car will restart and move forward when he takes his foot from the brake.this can be hazardous to the driver or passengers who may be exiting the car, and to pedestrians in front of the car.frequency of occurrence: two or three times weekly.
The carbon ceramic brakes were inconsistent when driving new, but not noticeable enough to immediately go to the dealer in the first ~2000 miles. The car was used in traffic at a relatively slow speed. But then it failed, and as a resultant an accident happened. The dealer is refusing to acknowledge this issue. Alerted manufacturer with no response. The car has taken over 5 months to fix, still with the manufacturer for the brake issue....consumer stated that braking in the new vehicle is inconsistent and alleges that he was in a low speed accident as a result. The customer states the car has taken over 5 months to fix and is at the manufacturer for the brake issue. Updated 11/1/18
The car moves to neutral gear while in motion. It has happened on highway at 70 mph and more often while making turns at busy intersections. Thus putting the driver in extreme harms way. The vehicle has to be instantly moved to drive mode to accelerate out of the risky impact situation. The problem was demonstrated to and replicated by the dealership.software updates, shifter change and a new transmission has not fixed the issue. The car remains at the dealership for further investigation and under dispute as a possible lemon. The issue has happened over a dozen times and we have only noted the last date. This has been on going for few months.

My car acts funny when using cruise control. Doesn't keep the speed i set it up at.another thing that i've notice is when turning the sterring wheel the car feels funny too. It sound like my tire hits something.
This is a 3rd incident of the same mishap.on 3 occasions i have been driving at very slow speeds , maybe 5 to 10 mph , i have applied the brakes , the brakes have locked in place and the engine has suddenly accelerated. The first time i continued to apply the brakes and after a while the acceleration ended. I was very scare and took car to dealer. They checked it and reprogramed the cars computer, but found nothing afoul or abnormal.the second time it happened , i put car in park and turned it off. Went back to dealer and they did the same thing as the first time : tested the car , found nothing wrong and reprogramed the car's computer.they also said they had no notices from alfa's principal office in the usa related to my complaints.on april 18 the 3rd incident occurred. This one was a bit more scary since i almost impacted a parked car. I was leaving office at about 5 to 7 mph , i had to apply the brakes and they once again locked in place and the car suddenly accelerated on his own. This time the acceleration lasted longer at higher rpm. Only a fast reaction to place car in park and immediately shut the car off avoided an collisionwith a parked car. I was again very scared since iam afraid this will continue to happen putting life and property in jeopardy.iam scheduled to take car back to dealer next week. I continue to drive it but with great caution and scare to death. Your agency needs to take action to avoid bodily harm or damage to property. All 3 incidents the car was in motion on a city street.
I was driving approx. 55 mph on sunrise hwy in long island, exit 50 east bound and my sunroof just exploded/shattered.i could not find any evidence of a rock or anything that may have hit it.
When i went to insure this car, my insurance company told me that my vin indicated that this car is awd.it is not awd, it's rear-drive only.changes need to be made to your vin registry to reflect this reality, i don't know if it affects other alfa romeo vehicles or not.thanks.
While the vehicle is driving, the interior cabin experiences an engine smell coming from the ac vents when it is running because according to one of their technicians the engine area is not sealed completely. The smell from the engine area at times then comes thru the air vents into the cabin area, and the smell makes it very difficult to drive without having the windows opened. It makes it very difficult to breathe. I'm afraid that i'm breathing in engine smells that could be potentially dangerous. Alfa does not have a fix for the problem as of yet. They have already attempted to create a fix, but it was not sufficient to seal the smell completely, it only minimized the smell at best. I took the vehicle to 2 dealerships now, and both have been unable to solve the problem. All i'm told is alfa romeo doesn't have a fix for the problem yet. The issue has occurred since day 1 of buying the car. The vehicle was sold to me with dozens of active recalls that had to be fixed after the day of purchase. I'm not sure if thats legal, but it's just more the nonsense i've been dealing with when dealing with this car manufacturer. The local dealerships in nyc area do not even keep a loaner, none of them! i have to travel to ct dealerships to assure i have a loaner.

While driving on a highway at approximately 70 miles per hour my sun roof exploded outward raining shards of glass both outward and down toward the passengers.

I really think those vehicles alfa romeo guilia should be checked from the electrical system because life of people is in risk when they just stop in middle of the road.
The contact owns a 2017 alfa romeo giulia. When the vehicle was started, several unknown warning indicators illuminated and the headlights were inoperable. On another occasion, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into the garage door. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to alfa romeo of wilmington pike (99 wilmington pike a, chadds ford, pa 19317, (484) 840-7190) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure or retrieve a fault code. The contact stated that after picking up the vehicle at the dealer, it independently accelerated again less than ten miles away. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.*dt
