Our 2015 airstream refrigerator stopped working while on shore power then caught on fire when we switched it over to propane.the trailer was sitting stationary on our property next to our home.the fire was in the service bay on the outside of the trailer. I quickly got the fire out avoiding more serious damage to the trailer and possibly our home.
The contact owns a 2015 airstream flying cloud. The contact received a recall notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v086000 (equipment); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
