Eps steering issues first reported to acura approximately 250 miles.hood vibration issues at 3800 miles.electronic power steering stability tracking issues, automobile cannot be driven in straight line. The eps system in this vin platform and many other manufacturers has serious & well documented straight line driving and crosswind stability issues due to inherent design and engineering flaws in the eps system as compared to hydraulic steering systems.passing big rigs traveling in opposite direction on two lane highways, car being pushed excessively toward outside right edge of road due to eps stability tracking issues & entire hood assembly lifting and vibrating vertically about 1" very fast especially at leading edge closest to windshield as if flexing and trying to pull from its hinges and front locking latch.occurred 5 times on one highway and 4 times on open cross country interstates in crosswinds and accompanied by loud howling sound from hood vibration when winds travel through engine compartment."flutters" often on open interstate highways when not vibrating violently.have talked with 4 owners that have experienced same issues. Acura has known of problem for 5 years and issued carefully worded tsb10-103 in april 2009 with cheap "band aide" fix of adding rubber gasket that didn't solve real problem of hood flexibility engineering flaw. Very scary experience when not expecting. Hood is 19 square feet of very flimsy braced sheet metal weighing 42#. If structure detaches while driving at interstate speeds it basically becomes a flying guillotine.can provide more detailed information on factory body weld assembly issues, hood vibration issues and eps issues but character limitations on this form will not allow space.

Dash is say check power steering system and same code pops up for the eps module. Will be contacting the dealer i purchased from to get replacement. Supposedly it has a 1yr manufactures warranty

Steering locked up and power steering light came on dashboard. Turned off the engine, restarted, it was ok. It happened again and extremely difficult to turn the steering. Real safety hazard.
On my way to work last night while driving in the highway,my steering wheel locked, making it impossible for me to turn. Then lights starting flashing on the dashboard saying check power steering system. I was afraid for my life asthis is dangerous. I did safely make it to work. At this time i am unable to find a recall for this problem which is odd because this is definitely not a consumer's fault. It's a system failure.
Driving straight road in town going maybe 40 mph, alert came on saying check power steering. Wheel extremely hard to manuever, barely turned into closest parking lot. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be recalled. My car is currently sitting at a shop waiting to be fixed, whatever that means....$$$$$$$
The automatic steering stopped working when i was trying to reverse out of the parking lot.car was only parked for 15 minutes in the lot.car only has 32k
Check power steering system displayed and the vehicle power steering stopped working completely. Had to move steering with force.
The electronic steering module failed at 45000 miles.it is a very expensive fix and acura is not willing to help.it appears to be a common problem because vehicles seem to be computers more than anything these days.
While i was in motion and turning my car right to park, the power steering light went on and the steering wheel stopped responding. After starting the car three times, the power steering worked again. I drove the car on the street for 10 minutes and my power steering suddenly stopped working. My car could not turn and could only go straight while i was in motion. I was on a very busy intersection, so i tried to turn right into a small road. The turn was very wide since the steering wheel didn't work and i almost hit another car head on. My car was stuck on a busy city street.
As i was driving down a straight road, the steering wheel locked and i got a message on the dashboad.it said that the electrical power steering system may not be working.i turned off the car.i turned it back on and continued to drive.however, within 1 min, the wheel locked again.thank god i hadnt gotten on the freeway. There could'vebeen serious consequences as this is an extremely dangerous situation while driving.i slowly brought it back home as i had to continuously turn off and on the car to unlock wheel for 1 min. To make some turns.this should not have happened to this car that i boughtless than 10 years old. I had just taken it in a couple of months ago for an oil check andinspection.
Our non-moving vehicle was involved in a hard rear-end collision at a in city traffic waiting to make a legal turn.a week later vehicle lost steering mobility.we had baton rouge, laacura dealership run a diagnostic.they failed to determine if the failure was directly associated with rear-end collision.i would say so.that is fine lil tough car.we are the second owners.all we have had to do is preventive maintenance and change a battery.acura cars at 88k miles do not have electrical component steering problems. At the time an owner of a 2008 tsx had 179k miles with no problems.our household had to experience more than a$1700 unexpected expense. Spoke with an nhtsa rep last week.she mentioned the steering system is under warranty for that model year (2013). Help
Takata recalli was driving home with my little brother from 4th of july activities when the power steering eps system gave out. The steering wheel locked up making it impossible to turn. Besides my car only having 61,000 miles, this could have ended very bad as i was on a very busy road. My car warranty was up to 60k, i have seen multiple people having the same issue right around the same mileage.yet for some reason this is not a recall. People are at risk and it's only a matter of time before something tragic happens. This does not make you trust in a brand you thought puts the customer and brand name first.
Power steering light started flashing when i turn on the car this morning, steering wheel hard to turn

The sun visor has become defective and inhibits visibility. The internal clip has worn out, cannot be replaced, and has become defective. The problem occurs while driving and stationary. The same incident occurred with my previous vehicle, 2006 honda civic, and was resolved through a class action lawsuit.
