The air bag light is red...i took it to acura in stockton....and they said. They won't check it until i pay them $120...i am worried it is faulty...i don't need to pay them to check and fix it...the air bag should not be faulty at all.....it is not a wear and tear item...it is a internal product that is damaged.

Air bags did not inflate with front collusion. Car turned left in front of us. Frontal impact air bags did not deploy.

My daughter was living in michigan and the srs light came on and she did not know what to make of it and there was no acura dealership around where she lived. She continued to drive the car and then moved back to ca.i saw that it was on so i contacted an acura dealership and they informed me that it had been under an extendedbut we were now past the 150k limit. I told them that it came on before that but they would not help.they told me to replace the passenger seat sensor box and it would fix the problem.i had it replaced and it again shows the srs light on. The airbags will not deploy with the srs light on. This should of been a factory recall rather then an extended warranty that we did not know about.

Srs light illuminated at approximately 130000 miles. Mechanic states code 15-3 "faulty opds sensor". Sensor is faulty by design, is not affected by age or use of vehicle. Previous extended warranty addressed this code, with language in warranty stating vehicles past 10 year mark are eligible for goodwill coverage to fix this issue. Acura refused to cover cost of this fix under goodwill. Manufacturer should be held accountable for design failures. Safety issue as air bags will not deploy if srs light is on.

I own a acura mdx 2002 model, the transmission had failed but the dealer replaced it at no cost to me. Now the srs air bag light came on and will not go off. I was searching for other complaints for srs light staying on and found an owner having the same problem. Also, the rear dual seat will not fold, so i called a local repair shop who specializes in acura, he mentioned that the mdx has a history of the back seat latch breaking down. Wanted to know if there has been any recalls on the srs light on the dash and the back seat latch breaking down.

The srs light turns on and doesn't go out after startup of the vehicle. There is a recall of the srs unit malfunction for the 2003 year model. Secondly, my vehicle is more than fifteen years old. Is there a takata air bag recall involving my 2002 acura mdx? i have taken ownership very recent.

Driving back home from las vegas, nv about 150 miles away (utah) the a/t lightcame on. Looked it up online it stated auto/transmission oil temp is high.decided to pull over and let it cool down at the nearest gas station. Decided it was ok since the temp in utah went down this was around 2 pm. About 10 min later when we got back onto highway the a/t light came on again. Then the car started to smoke from the engine bay. We pulled over took a look at it realized no puncture to the lines and figured the pressure build up from tranny spat out from where you usually pour fluids in. We tried getting off hwy for safety and ended up middle on no where. Then we waited til 5 pm and as the weather cooled down we started the drive again. The engine was fine the transmission wouldn't let me push it pass 3 1/2 rpm so we drove about 50-70 mph. We reached colorado then spent the night. The next day it started to snow, the transmission decided to stop responding it will go into gears but it will stall and go but it wouldn't let me go past 2 rpm. Check engine light came on then we decided to take the car to autozone. The o2 test stated: low tranny oil, torque control solenoid sensor, and electrical sensor. Then we had the car tow to nearby transmission shop they ran some diagnostics and said the gears are slipping and the whole transmission needs to be rebuilt. Total cost in rebuilt 4100.00 out the door. Car in on 3/4/13 car was done on 3/19/13.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact was driving 50 mph when the srs air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a personal mechanic for diagnosis and the contact was informed that the entire sensory board needed to be replaced. The contact then took the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed of a manufacturer's recall but no assistance was offered. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 101,000.

The keys can be removed while car is not in park so it rolled and bumped into another car. I checked the recall and it is not included in their recall. My car is 2002 acura mdx and the year they have recall is 2003 version.

Consumer statedwhen ever an electric device like a cell phone or laptop computer was used, theairbags deactivated until the device was turned off. The air bags were not reliable until the vehicle was returned to the dealership for maintenance. Consumer felt as though he didn't have any control over the air bag system. *ph. The dealer stated a cell phoneor laptop could not be on or near the seats.

Consumer called complaining about having problems with electrical problem. Also stated that while driving the vehicle all the lights on the panel started lighting the brakes did not work and the engine started acting crazy. Dealer was contacted and stated that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle but they still can't explain the reason why the vehicle acted that way. Ts

1.) the at shift gear slides out of park even when vehicle is turned off.very dangerous for children shifting gears out of park while key is out of the ignition!per conversation with consumer, the dealer has identified that the shift-interlock solenoid assembly was damaged and replaced under warranty to customer's satisfaction.also learned that 4-yr old boy inside vehicle potentially damaged gear shift resulting in free movement from park to other gear(s). *mjj2.) atf temp sensor remains on in dashboard even while trans is cool. Electrical problem code (dtc) po710.3.) the d5 gear indicator light remains on and flashing while driving.vehicle was towed to acura dealer in latham, nyfor electrical repairs.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the key randomly would not turn over. Intermittently, the anti-theft feature activated and prevented the vehicle from starting. The failure occurred more than five times in which there was a sudden loss of power and the vehicle stalled. The contact had to make numerous attempts to maneuver the key to get the vehicle to restart. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 215,000.updated 04/14/16*lj

Takata recall my mdx is having a heat build up between the countershaft and second shaft gears. Its casuing my transmission to lock up and i am very concern

Driving at 70 mph vehicles vtm4 light started to fkash 3 seconds later all wheels locjmked up and uder feet was so hot had to lift my feet skidded about 290 feet.

Recallon april 1st my mother drove her recently purchased 2002 accura mdx to work about a 5 min drive ten min after she parked and arrived to work her car was inflams and fire fighter investigators stated it was a electrical fire that caused her car to blow up

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. For over two years, the vehicle randomly stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 02v226000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was unknown.

I took my car and on february 25th to check to see what was wrong with the vehicle i was told and nothing was wrong with the vehicle the vehicle shakes and vibrates really bad around 30 to 40 miles an hour. I have read on different forum that it's a transmission, and alot of people have to replace the torque converter. But this is a common issue and acura doesn't want to repair the problem that's occurring with alot of these models.

Priority acura gave 2002 mdx back monday 4/3/17 had problems again with it slippin into neutral and wont move in d5...this time check engine light came on and d5 started blinking and gear shift was not move pass n until james the mechanic shut off vehicle and started it back up.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the vehicle failed to shift from second gear. Additionally, the engine revved. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 180,000.

During routine service visit, dealer informed me that the front and side engine mounts are worn and need replacement.vehicle has only 60k miles, no accidents and dealer serviced. This seems to be a common (nhtsa complaint # 10186944) problem with the mdx and numerous issues noted by owners on topix.com.acura says they have no tsb on this issue.

I had just traveled 19 miles on the freeway and had stopped at the red light on the offramp.shortly after making the turn, the car stalled without warning, the engine just stopped.i coasted, all the warning lights were on.i had to stop, put car in gear, and eventually restarted the car.this is the second incident when the car engine stopped without warning (first was pulling into an underground parking structure). The power steering goes out making driving difficult.i took it to the dealer and they indicated that there was nothing wrong asit could not be replicated.their idea to resolve was to blindly start replacing expensive parts of the engine.i feel i am playing russian roulette each time i drive the car and the next time may result in a collision.

I bought a 2002 acura mdx in 8/2005. The recall was never performed, the vehicle started having issues in 2010. When i took the vehicle to get it checked i was informed that a recall had been done on 2001-2002 acura mdx for 2nd gear issues. After taking the vehicle to a dealership, acura customer service stated the transmission failure that the vehicle was having had nothing to do with the recall. Stated that there was no discoloration of the 2nd gear and that the vehicle is way past warranty so they will not assist with the repair. I believe the issue with the transmission is a result of the issues with the recall.when driving the vehicle stalls when going into 3rd gear, almost coming to a complete stop.

Two motor mounts have been identified as broken (1) or cracked (1).these are the right and front motor mounts on an acura mdx 2002.the vehicle has only 61,000 miles on it.based on an internet search and check of the consumer reports web site, this appears to be a common problem for the acura mdx.

Motor mount failure.

On four separate occasions the engine races when the vehicle was started, the vehicle has been taken to the dealer but they have been unable to duplicate the problem .mr*nlm

Early replacement failure/need for motor mounts in 2002 acura mdx with under 70,000 miles.

I purchased the 2002 mdx on 12, january 2004. At that time i questioned the hard shifting from first into second. It would lurch, shudder, and jump from standing still to first gear, all the way through the gears. I was worried that the transmission would be damaged as well as other parts. On 27 july, 2004 the transmission began to rock front and back, with loud grinding and metal to metal sound. The dealer explained there was a recall on the at and an oil jet cooler was needed.over the next 7 years i had my mdx serviced at the dealership. Each time i would complain about the noise at speeds between 20-30 and 35-45. Again i was told nothing could be done. The engine broke the side motor mount, again i was told that nothing could be done. Finally on 6 july 2011 while driving 75 on interstate 71, my transmission revved into the red area on the gauge, atf was blowing out the back and covered the back window. I pulled over and the transmission seized on the spot. The mdx was towed to the dealership were i was told the oil jet cooler had a drain nut, that came out, thus releasing the atf. The drain plug and atf was replaced, but again i was told there was nothing could be done as the defect was a part and not covered. The shop manager told me that the shock and spring was rusted and leaking fluid. I was told that both motor, the timing belt, the shifter cable and connection, outer tire rod, boots needed to be replaced.i searched the internet for 5 minutes and discovered thousands of complaints related to the transmission. I confirmed the recalls on the shocks coils transmission, and multitude of other components. I had the timing belt, every belt, water pump, and motor mounts replace at another dealership in town.this is a dangerous problem. As long as there are 2002 mdx's on the road and honda acura ignore or deny the problem. The risk of death is great.

Motor mounts on 2002 acura mdx with 77,000 miles failing.

On 5/9/2003 the vehicle was taken to the dealer for service.about 45 minutes later the vehicle stopped while in a busy intersection.the vehicle was taken to the dealer which stated the problem was the water pump and timing belt which was on recall.the consumer was never notified of the recall #02v226000.*nlm

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact stated that there were recalls on his vehicle to replace the timing belt and the water pump.nhtsa campaign id number 02v226000 (engine and engine cooling:engine) was referenced.the dealer stated that they replaced the water pump and the timing belt, but could not provide the repair date.the manufacturer stated that the repair was completed, but could not provide a date as well.the contact is experiencing issues with his vehicle and wants to know when it was repaired.the failure mileage was 65,000.

On october 13, 2009, at about 12:45, i provided my 2002 acura mdx to jerry damson acura, huntsville, alabama for the '82,500 mile service'.at about 1:15 i received a call from the service department stating that two engine mounts were broken.the price would be about $500.although i was concerned how engine mount failures could happen on a vehicle with this mileage, i agreed to have it repaired for obvious safety reasons.later that day i discovered other complaints on the internet for broken engine mounts for this vehicle.when i arrived at jerry damson acura to pick it up, i advised the service person that i felt acura should pay for this.the acura service manager, gil williams, was called-in to discuss this problem with me.he stated that they/acura would not pay for this.i asked how a failure of this nature could happen at this mileage.after some discussion he stated that the catalytic converter is located near these particular engine mounts and contributes to increased temperature in the area, resulting in failure of these engine mounts.he further stated that he had previously discussed this problem with acura and they advised him to 'sell it as a maintenance item'.i stated this was an obvious design defect that acura or jerry damson should pay for.he said they would not.i asked him to elevate this to the jerry damson general manager.he refused to do that. He provided me with the phone number for 'acura client services', he would do nothing else.i reluctantly paid for this broken engine mounts repair at $483 in order to retrieve the vehicle.it is a logical deduction that the broken engine mount problem is a design defect since he admitted the catalytic converter's proximity to the engine mounts contributes to this early failure.it's therefore clear that this repair cost should be borne by acura/jerry damson.

Rear fan stopped working for a/c & heat. Mechanic assumed it was a bad fan motor, but later discovered it was a faulty r&r power transistor. He said they've seen a few of these on the mdx's. We replaced the old one with a new part and it works correctly now.

The air conditioner was blowing hot air.the dealer discovered that the condenser had a hole in it and as a result it had leaked out all of the refrigerant.they think it may have been caused by a rock. As a result of that assessment, this repair is not covered under the warranty even though the car has 22,000 miles/21 months and is well within the 4 yr/50,000 mile warranty.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact began to notice reduced visibility while driving with the headlights activated. The contact realized that the headlights were abnormally cloudy. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and independent repair shop on numerous occasions where the headlights were rebuffed. The failure persisted intermittently. The vin was unavailable. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 100,000.

Upon exiting off the freeway and accelerating onto a busy 3 lane street, my vehicle engine began revving and had no power.it acted like it had been shifted to neutral.i shifted to a lower gear and it caught and allowed me to get enough power to coast to a parking spot off the busy street that had no shoulder to pull a non working vehicle to.i was nearly rear ended because of the loss of power so suddenly.i was fortunate that i had just got off the freeway or it could have been much worse.i read on line that the 2001 and 2002 acura mdx has had a common problem with transmission failure.at a quote for repair of $5,400 this is a major issue as i am a full time student.of greater concern is the safety issue that i could have been rear ended and caused a major accident.the dealer offered $500 off as concession that there is a "known" problem with the 2001 and 2002 transmissions.prior to the transmission failing, i was only offered $2,000 as trade in value towards a new vehicle.

My name is [xxx] i purchased a used 2002 acura mdx from dealer [xxx]at priority honda hampton va 2/13/2017 ( 757 8381252 ).within the first week of driving this acura mdx it stalled as i made a turn on lynnhaven pkwy into my job parking lot. There where cars behind me beeping. My first reaction was try reverse it did reverse so i try to put it back in d5 no movement rpms with just run up no check engine light on so then i tried d5, d4, d3,2 no movement the vehicle move when i put it in gear at 1 and it drove me to a parking space and that is when i called acura priority and had car towed to them and explained that i had purchased the car from priority honda this was my 6/7 day driving it this happen. So the tow company came and towed it to priority acura chesapeake( 7575231700) unfortunately they could not duplicate the problem and the check engine light wasn't on and car driving back normal and no codes held in the computer for them to check what is going on. Therefore i requested they do a thoroughly check on vehicle which cost me 150.00 dollars to make sure it wasn't nothing wrong with vehicle. They did a extra check and came back with bushings needed to be replace other than that vehicle was good priority acura stated. In meantime i called priority honda where i just purchased the vehicle from not even a week and explained to them what was going on to timothy use car supervisor at priority honda hampton ( 7578381252) he got the car towed over there no cost to me and gave me a rental for 4 days ?when i was called i was told again i can pick up my vehicle priority honda hampton mechanic was not able to duplicate my complaint on acura or diagnosis it due to no check engine light on.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My wife was driving west bound on hwy 50 just west of pollock pines ca. I was in the passenger seat.the vehicle abruptly downshifted to low gear and spun out of control . We glanced off the center medium with minimal damage to the vehicle. My wife and i were very shook up. I switched spots with her and moved the car off the freeway. We drove the vehicle the rest of the way home (10 miles) using back roads not going over 20 mph. We contacted niello acura of sacramento and they told us to bring the car to them and they would see what they can do for us. They told me i would have to pay $5,500 for a new transmission and they would not take care of this as a safety issue. If this happens to someone else, they might not be as lucky as we were. I was told there was a recall for this issue (the transmission downshifting unexpectedly). I asked the acura dealer about this and they told me the vehicle had already had the fix installed in 2004. If this is a common problem with this vehicle, other people could be effected or even injured. Over the past year the check engine light came on a couple times but within a day or two it would go out. Now the light is on. The codes that acura told me are p700 and p730.

On my way to home from work, i noticed that my acura mdx makes grinding and shuddering sound when increasing speed after a stop or from slow speed. While going on state highway at 50/mhp speed, the front wheels locked up. The car dragged on the road for about 25 feet and came to a complete stop in the driving lane as i could not steer the vehicle on to the shoulder due to locked front wheels. The lady behind me driving at the same speed was able to just stop her suv within six inches of the back of my vehicle. It scary and frightening experience for both of as my vehicle completely stopped in driving lane in about 5 to 7 second from 50/mph to a complete stop.my vehicle could not be pushed over to the side of the road due to locked front wheels.this was a near death experience i had for the first time in my life.i was searching on internet to see if others had similar problem. I was amazed to find hundreds of comments about this problem from the owners of mdx for model years that range from 2002 to 2010.they appear to have the same transmission problem where the second gear just freezes.i am wondering why the sha has not investigated this problem and found faults with honda's lack of willingness to correct this problem.some of the comments on internet says that this happened to them on highways..

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, both front wheels seized and the steering wheel required force in order to maneuver the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the transmission seized. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 04v176000 (power train). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 142,875.

I took the vehicle to the dealer b/c the vehicle was slowing down on the freeway and this noise that comes from the rear of the vehicle. After they inspected it they couldn't find the problem, so they had me take a service tech with me for a test ride. He told me that the torque converter needs to be replaced.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle felt as if the brake pedal were depressed quickly and the accelerator pedal were suddenly depressed inadvertently. When depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to move and would suddenly engage and operate normally. The dealer diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 04v176000 (power train). The contact notified the manufacturer of the failure. The failure mileage was 220,000.

I was driving and there was smoke coming out of the engine compartment. I stopped and had the car towed to an acura dealer.

Gear failure, transmission lock up, smoke coming from transmissioninside the car.heat build up from transmission when we do long drive.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the steering was extremely rough and the service engine sensor illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the torque converter and clutch solenoid was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 04v176000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,672.

I have a 2001 acura mdx with 80k miles. I am in the process of replacing my transmission as it is showing signs of transmission lockage. While i was driving on the highway, i noticed the truck just seemed to make a really hard brake, like someone was pumping the brakes with a lot of pressure. I took it to acura and they denied any goodwill repair! this will most likely be my last honda/acura as i have lost faith in them and their reputation.would this have happened during rush hour, i am sure i would have gotten in an accident or worse killed.i believe if i drove it any longer the transmission would have completely locked up and other components like the axles, mounts, etc...would have been disabled.

Drove vehicle on the highway and noticed a vibration in the front end.also noticed when driving vehicle in the morning a vibration that felt like driving over rubble strips. Talked to my daughter (primary driver) and she said the vibration has been occurring for a couple of months, but not consistently.did some research and took vehicle to a transmission mechanic.need a new transmission.bought this acura in 2006 as a certified vehicle from dealer with 43k miles.torque converter was replaced in 2009 at 90k miles.need a new transmission at 156k. I expected more from a honda vehicle.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that when driving in second or third gears, the vehicle would exhibit an abnormal grinding noise with a vibrating sensation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection but the manager advised that due to the mileage and the year of the vehicle, they would not be able to repair the vehicle under the warranty. The contact stated that the vehicle had been taken to the dealer four times for the same exact transmission failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure who advised that there were no recalls and they were unable to honor the warranty. The vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 130,127.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the vehicle started to shake violently. The contact maneuvered the vehicle to the shoulder and left it parked. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for inspection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who referred him to the dealer. The failure mileage was 109,000.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated while traveling various speeds, the vehicle jerked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the transmission needed be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. The failure mileage 195,239.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. While operating the vehicle, the transmission suddenly malfunctioned and the vehicle would not drive forward or accelerate. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact indicated that the transmission was previously replaced for the same failure at 59,000 miles. The failure mileage was 122,000. Updated 04/26/16*lj

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the transmission failed. The vehicle was repaired by the previous owner under nhtsa recall campaign id number: 04v176000 (power train: automatic transmission) for the same failure. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer advised that the torque converter failed in the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage and the current mileage was 134,000.

Automatic transmission failed on the drive back to los angeles from las vegas.

Takaya recall, i'm having transmission issues while i'm driving on the highway the vehicle seems to slow down and then picks up speed i have trouble switching gearswhen i try to reverse there's no movement the all of the sudden the vehicle will do our hard jerk reverse motion and stars going in reverse. Passages air bag read a code of airbag malfunction. Torque control, gears getting stuck flashing d5 light after going over 40.

I own a 2002 acura mdx with 130k miles.the transmission failed while i was in vacation 2 hours from my home.the car was towed to the local dealer and i was charged $4700 to have the transmission replaced.after doing some research on-line, i found that transmission failure on acura mdxs is a common problem.it is unacceptable that a premium car such as an acura should have such a high incidence of transmission failure. Acura should have recalled these vehicles given that the transmission could fail while one is driving leading to increased probability of a serious accident.

Transmission occasionally bumps when backing, turning, and changing from one direction to another.there have been times, at different speeds, when there would be a sound as is the vehicle is crossing stop bumps.this has happened on smooth roads while accelerating, maintaining a speed, and decelerating.the transmission stared slipping in 5th gear, and is now beginning to slip in 4th gear.

The keys can be removed while car is not in park so it rolled and bumped into another car. I checked the recall and it is not included in their recall. My car is 2002 acura mdx and the year they have recall is 2003 version.

My car was repaired in 2004 due to a recall.the issue has accured again and the acura dealer wants to charge me $7000 to fix the transmission again.

Hello my name is [xxx] i purchased a used 2002 acura mdx from priority honda hampton va ( 757 838 1252) the first week i drove the car the transmission shifted downward while i was turning a corner at a busy intersection the car did not cut off however it stop and when i pressed on the gas the rpm will go up but the car would not move i then try to shift to d4 would not move d3 would not move 2 it drove again. I took the car back to priority and explain what happen they sold me a lemon they states my check engine light not on or keeping records of what happen when car act up therefore the car is not doing it all the time and not doing it while in there possession. They sent me home again the next week i was back with same problem they could not diagnose .sent me home again the next week happen again i they still cant figure out problem this is a very dangerous situation when cars are behind me and can result in a crash can you please reach out to me at [xxx] or priority honda hampton va ([xxx]) to correct this dangerous problem with my vehicle i see others have had this problem . I have any recorded this on my phone and show them car not moving rpms going up the advisor [xxx] states looks like transmission slipping but it wont do for them. My vehicle is currently at priority honda hampton again.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Purchased new, a 2002 acura mdx.first transmission replaced 2 months shy of 7 year extended warranty at approx. 47,000 miles. Transmission warranty ended with the expiration of the 7 year warranty (2 months). The car would shudder, seize, rendering it a safety issue.next transmission failure at 87,000 miles.same symptoms, shudders, gear slippage, seizing, again rendering the car undrivable. The car is currently back in with so. Bay acura in torrance, california, receiving the third transmission.these same symptoms have been reported by several hundred customers and i don't understand what would constitute a recall.i only searched for like complaints for an hour so i am quite confident i could locate several thousand. This same transmission failure has been reported in the ny times.six thousand dollars is an excessive amount so i am working on a class action suit with other owners as the car is unsafe as a family vehicle.also had the car tested extensively at other transmission facilities.

Driving on the freeway, transmission disengaged and engine revved up to red line.car had no power and lost speed.close call with other vehicles, including semi trucks.had to pull into far right lane and was only able to go around 30 mph since the car continued to rev and the transmission engaged and disengaged.engine light came on and d5 light on dash started flashing.took it to a mechanic who said transmission needs to be replaced.in investigating, this appears to be a common problem with this model year.car is worth $6500 in good shape, but with this issue, it is now only worth $2000.

All the recalls have been taken care of but it still has the transmission issue.i have seen many complaints about this and acura does agree that there a known issue and won't anything to rectify the issue.me and a lot of other owners are considering a class action suit to force acura to rectify the issue that is well known in these transmissions.when you call the dealer they know exactly what the issue is but want to put in a rebuilt transmission and charge between $2500 to $3800.this is ridiculous if the issue is known why not fix it and the loyal customers happy.

Priority acura gave 2002 mdx back monday 4/3/17 had problems again with it slippin into neutral and wont move in d5...this time check engine light came on and d5 started blinking and gear shift was not move pass n until james the mechanic shut off vehicle and started it back up.

Transmission recall was prev addressed but still has same problemhwy overheating of transmission causing failure extreme jerking scared us bad and could cause accident gears go out slip from overheating as well burns transm fluidrecalled previously same exact issue of extreme overheating and at temp gauge not workingoccours while driving in motion

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.while driving approximately 45 mph he could hear a rumbling noise coming from under the hood and the vehicle began to decelerate.once the vehicle decelerated to approximately 25 mph it began to drive as normal.the vehicle was not taken to be examined for the cause of failure but he was informed by an independent mechanic that he needs to replace the transmission.it was not repaired.the failure continues to intermittently recur.the failure mileage was 96,000 and the current mileage was 104,000.

Transmission issuedealer charged me $4400 and acura gave me 25% discount to do the repair. This is a known problem and still acura is not taking full responsibility to fix the issue without any money, most of the owners got 90% discount and now acura is just giving 25% discount .

Power train:automatic transmissionshudder or vibration between 35 and 40 mph.[xxx]torque converter requires replacement.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Dt:afteraccelerating the car locked up and he skidded 3 or 4 feet. Has a clicking noise from the transmission. Now the car won't shift gears or go over 10 mph; had it looked at and was told by manufacturer thatit was not covered in the recall. Did get other opinions on the transmission problem, and was told that the first person that looked at itwas incorrect in their diagnosis.

1st incident: we were going up a hill with car full of children when my 2002 acura mdx slowed down considerably and the rpm revved up to 4-5,000. It continued to do this as trucks and cars started to pile behind me. I finally reached an exit and pulled over. After parking, i could not reverse, it would not move. After waiting an hour for the tow truck, we decided to test the car around the parking lot .. It started driving like nothing was wrong, and reversed again. So we took our chances and drove carefully home. The car didn't act up after that but we started a case with acura/honda after realizing there was a mass transmission recall. They said my vin was not under the recall warranty and they could not help. 2 days later: we assumed the hill must have been too much for the car, but it was ok to drive on flat roads. While driving under normal conditions at 35 mph, the car jerked violently and continued to until i pulled to the side of the road. After a phone call to assess what might have happened, it was suggested the transmission was acting up. I cautiously drove the car home with my young daughter in tow. After researching the acura transmission recall, i got a case going again with honda. They suggested i take the car in for a diagnostic. I did just that and faxed in the tech comments. Based on the comments, they concluded that they will not help because i had too many miles (98k) and my car was "poorly maintained". However i contested how it was poorly maintained and they could not give me an answer. I bought the car 6 months ago at 95k and performed its regular oil change and transmission fluid. They recommended i had to replace my cv boots and brakes, but i don't see how that would affect the transmission. They quoted me at $5000 and would see to any discounts.after much research, it is apparent that there are definitely manufacturer defects in these transmissions, but acura and honda has made it clear to me they are not willing to help.

My vehicle is shuddering on the 2nd to 3rd gear upshift.loss of power. This is occurring with greater and greater frequency, after just a short time of driving. I brought this to the attention of the dealer who advised that i would need a re-man transmission.when i asked about this being related to the known recall for this exact problem, they stated they would bring this up to the manufacturer. The manufacturer's reply was that they don't know me well enough, so they would not look into this any further, and would fix this defect.the dealer advised that the recall was closed for this vehicle, and that only an inspection was done;there was no jet kit installed, no transmission replacement done.they inspected, and sent it on its way, and now it is failing. I fear that the consequence of this known recalled defect not being corrected by the manufacturer, will be transmission lockup at speed, leading to a crash.

Transmission failure at 69,000 miles after being recalled at 25,000 miles.car transmission locked up while driving down the highway almost leading to a crash.car slips when shifting gears now and will lock up regularly.

2002 mdx purchased as a certified pre-owned with 37k miles. At 55k miles reported to dealer a rumbling sound coming from under vehicle. Dealer test drove the car and found nothing. At 65k miles complained about the same thing, they found nothing and suggested transmission fluid change and vtm fluid change. I performed both services. Now at 82k miles check engine light and vtm4 light come on, i take it to the dealer and they found the transmission to be bad. Transmission will be replace on monday the 22nd of sep under warranty.will trade car after they fix it because i don't trust it anymore, judging from all the problems everyone seems to have with 2002. Acura should pay for everyone's problems regarding transmission/ motor mounts for model year mdx 01-02.

Recently experiencing transmission is slipping with my 2002 mdx, especially going uphill and during acceleration, it hesitates and then violently bangs into gear.also intermittently, reverse gear does not work as well. There was a transmission recall on this model/year and our car did get serviced for it, the dealer did not replace transmission back in 2004 once we were informed of the recall but an oil jet kit was installed according to the directive of the recall instructions.we've always maintenance our car with the dealer in a timely fashion as recommended by factory maintenance care guideline and recently did a full service which included a transmission flush 2 months ago at 120,000miles.after full diagnostic/assessment of why our transmission is slipping it turns out our transmission fluid (which just got flushed 2months ago) was heating up and filling up with discoloration.this is the exact description of what was recalled in 2004.our car is currently at the dealer and they have quoted us $4800 to get a new transmission installed (factory remanufactured). I truly believe this failure is related to the 2004 recall.some folks who have experienced similar situation has been fortunate to have taken their matter to the right dealer, according to some discussion forums on this matter, the dealer agreed to pay for a new transmission (after getting approval from acura corporate office). In my situation, it has been unfortunate.please investigate and give us some consistency/continuity on the handling of this matter.thank you.

2002 acura mdx automatic transmissionfailure.

Auto transmission hesitate to shift from 2nd to 3rd gear and not all the time this happens. It occurs all of a sudden when? you never know.all acura mdx 01,02 should be pulled out of streets. Manufacturer should be accountable for that. It is a design problem not only it is hazardous for owners but also for other people.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the vehicle accelerated and decelerated without being prompted. None of the warning lights illuminated when the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealerwhere the technician diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 155,034. The current mileage was 155,530.

Transmission came out of gear while driving.gear selector was not moved.dealer performed out of warranty replacement or transmission for the second time. First replacement was june 2007.previous complaints about the first replacement transmission were dismissed by dealer personnel.

I have a 2002 acura mdx. I was driving on the highway when suddenly my car jerked violently and the d5 began to flash. The transmission was locked at low gear and the check engine light went on. My car nearly ran over by a tractor truck. I went to the dealership and was told that the transmission and engine mounts are broken, which are systemic problems for 2001-2002 acura mdx models. However, acura would not be responsible for this manufacturing defect.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the transmission began slipping. The contact was able to locate a recall for the failure (nhtsa campaign id number: 04v176000- power train: automatic transmission) but was advised by the dealer that his vehicle was outside of the mileage limitation of the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage and current mileage was 151,000.

Transmission on our 2002 acura mdx is going out. Our transmission on our 2001 mdx went out last year.we also have a 2002 honda accord and the transmission is going out on that also.

Dt*: the contact stated the transmission is failing on the vehicle.there is an nhtsa recall, #04v176000 concerning the power train: automatic transmission; however the recall did not correct the problem.the vehicle's transmission was not failing at the time of the recall.the dealership determined the recall repair should consist of installing an oil jet kit.the recall was performed on august 12, 2004.the mileage on the vehicle at this time was 64,111.in august 2005, the contact noticed the transmission slipping upon acceleration into second gear.the vehicle was taken to the dealership.the dealership determined there was not a problem with the vehicle's transmission.the problem became progressively worse.in january 2006, the dealership confirmed the transmission wa sreplaced at contact's expense. A safety concern existed as acknowledged by honda when the recall repairs were made.the repairs have not prevented transmission failure. Therefore, creating a safety hazard.

I took my car into the nalley acura dealership where i purchased it for servicing. The service personnel told me after checking the vehicle that i needed a new transmission because the second gear was worn out. My wife found on the internet after this fact that there was a recall on the second gear breakage in the transmission for the 2001-2002 mdx. I contacted the manufacturer about my vehicle being repaired under this recall, and they will not agree to pay full cost of $4000 for the new transmission, but stated nothing of the recall. The manufacturer offered to pay half the cost. As stated below they are responsible for full repairs as my vehicle has over 15,000 miles and other reasons as stated below.i have tried working with the manufacturer on this situation for over a month with still no resolution. I would appreciate assistance from you all concerning my vehicle being repaired and the manufacturer paying in full. Thank you. On some mini vans, sport utility and passenger vehicles, certain operating conditions can result in heat build-up between the countershaft and secondary shaft second gears in the automatic transmission, eventually leading to gear tooth chipping or gear breakage.consequence:gear failure could result in transmission lockup, which could result in a crash.remedy:on vehicles with 15,000 miles or less, the dealer will update the transmission with a simple revision to the oil cooler return line to increase lubrication to the second gear. On vehicles with more than 15,000 miles, the dealer will inspect the transmission to identify gears that have already experienced discoloration due to overheating. If discoloration exists, the transmission will be replaced if discoloration is not present, the dealer will perform the revision to the oil cooler return line. The recall began on april 21, 2004, for pilot, odyssey, and mdx owners.

Torque converter shudder or vibration between 35-40 mph.

I have a 2002 acura mdx.i bought the vehicle brand new from the dealership and have had numerous components on it replaced, however the one item which has not been resolved is a shudder which i get in the vehicle when driving between 30 - 40 mph.it appears to be a transmission issue, but the dealership has not dealt with the issue.the vehicle now has 100k miles on it, but the issue first arose at ~35k miles and was taken to the dealership numerous times while still under warranty with no resolution to the problem.

From third gear into fourth gear, the transmission slips, it disengages like if it's in neutral for just a few seconds, and then goes into the next gear with a jerk. Now it seems like that it's always jerking.about a year or two ago, i had a much less noticeable loss of power incident with the vehicle with the check engine light coming on.the dealer cleared the warning light and advised that there was no problems.on 06/16/06 i brought the vehicle to the dealer to replace the transmission fluid, but that did not resolve the problem.they advised i would need a new transmission.

Regular driving of acura mdx.car transmission slipping between 20-40 mph.dealer inspected problem and attributed problem to the 3rd gear.dealer reports recall is only involving 2nd gear therefore i have to pay for transmission repair rebuild.

2002 acura mdx with 70,000 miles.transmission failure which has been reported hundred if not thousands of times to acura/honda for the 2001-2003 year transmissions.transmission is skipping and will not go into gear from 2nd gear to 3rd gear.this is at about 25-30 mph and mostly occurs on slight uphill grades.as i look on edmunds.com and google there are hundreds of reports of this problem.at 22,000 miles my acura dealer in 2004 placed a lubricant injection fix for this problem .now at 70,000 miles with minimal use, regular maintenance, and dealer only inspections the transmission is failing.the patch kit did not work.i expect a $40,000 car to last more than 70,000 miles before a major problem.acura/honda should issue a full recall to replace the defective transmissions.

My 2002 acura mdx has been failing due to a malfunction in there transmission. They will not admit there wrong. Every one with this type of suv has experience this problem.

The check engine light came on2002acuramdx112000k boughtused w nowarranty.5dayslater the car shifts downgear whenulift off the gas allthetime whenchanging gear on hillits seems tobejamming ..tooktoseveralautoplace tohooktomachine . Itallshows the same code torque converter ./transmission .

The transmission slips upon acceleration, when shifting, it snaps.the vehicle was taken to the dealer stated the failure mode is not consistent and not related to the recall.the recall date is april 13, 2004.*lathe dealer's diagnosis showed failure of the 3rd, 4th and reverse gears.the dealer repaired the vehicle under the provisions of the vehicle's extended warranty.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. While driving 65 mph and changing lanes the transmission down shifted and almost shut the vehicle off. The check engine light illuminated and the d5 light started flashing on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not safe to drive and will be towed to the dealer. There was only routine maintenance performed on the vehicle prior to the failure. The failure mileage was 99,000.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated whiledriving 15 mph, the vehicle would independently slip into second gear causing the vehicle to hesitate. The contact located a nhtsa campaign id number:04v176000 (power train: automatic transmission) but was advised by the manufacturer that the vehicle was repaired under the recall by the previous owner. The manufacturer offered to cover fifty percent of the repairs. The contact did not believe the vehicle was repaired correctly when repaired under the recall. The failure and current mileages were 82,000.

The vehicle stalls whenever you stop moving because the transmission torque converter locks up and does not release.

On january 12, 2005 while traveling on i-5 at approximately 60 mph the transmission in my 2002 acura mdx locked up. Hinshaw's acura concluded the failure caused damage to the half shaft, vtec pressure switch, oil filter housing, intermediate shaft, and right outside driveshaft. Hinshaw's acura concluded all of these items required replacement to restore my mdx to normal. They gave me a repair estimate of several thousands of dollars. I informed them that i have always complied with all of the scheduled acura recommended maintenance items on my mdx during the warranty period and afterwards. In fact, the most recent 60k maintenance was performed at hinshaw's acura on november 22, 2004. I also informed them that my maintenance records were available for their review from both acura of seattle and bellevue acura. For the record, i have been the sole owner and driver of this vehicle since it was new. It has never been off road, abused, or been involved in an accident. The local acura representative refused to acknowledge the failure or consider reimbursement for any damages.after i filed a complaint with acura customer relations, they agreed to only pay half of the repair costs. The injustice in this whole experience stems from the fact that this vehicle was recalled by acura (nhtsa campaign id number 04v176000) for exactly the same problem that caused the damages and endangered my life and that of other drivers near me. I have rigorously followed the recommended maintenance schedule as defined in my acura ownership manual.if this problem would have been properly resolved at the time i returned my mdx to the dealer during the recall, this malfunction would have never occurred.

Therehas beennumerous reportsregarding the transmission 2001-2006 acura mdx . Many have stated that theyhave replaced transmission at least 2times.thenacura wants tocharge 4-5k to replace.thereare severalcomplaintslistedonedmunds.com forumover400 .ihavealsobeenaffected byhaving a faulty transmissionas well .s ome owners withvery low mileage areaffected.. Acura isn't owning uptothe problem. How many people must result in adeath toreport this as a safety recall .

2002 acura mdx with approx. 17k miles repeatedly forcibly downshifted for no apparent reason on the evening of 5/28/03.dealer reproduced the behavior on a test drive on the morning of 5/29/03 and is replacing the transmission without any further diagnostics.

The transmission to my 2002 acura mdx started to malfunction about a week ago. It starts to slip from 1st to second gear. I called an acura dealership and they told me that the transmission had been serviced and covered the recall. I believe that nothing was done and acura is trying to pass the cost to me. I purchased this vehicle new in 2002.

There has been an intermittent grinding noise and shudder in the transmission between 35-45 miles and hour in 5th gear. This is a known issue in acura mdx 2002 and has been issued a recall for other vin # 's but mine is not included in the recall even though it has the same symptoms. I am worried that it will lock up and cause an accident but the dealer and acura have so far refused to fix the issue.

Torque converter issue (vibration/shudder/grinding between 20-50 mph while accelerating).acura recommends replacement of transmission and torque converter.

I feel very afraid to drive my 2002 acura mdx, with 100k miles, as it has come out of gear when i am turning across two lanes of traffic to continue through the median onto the highway.i am very fortunate that a semi truck was not coming at me at a high speed when my vehicle failed to accelerate.i have four children in the mdx with me at all times, as i am a stay at home mother and home school my oldest at age 7.this failure is not a result of abuse, or negligent service.the acura guidelines for transmission service have been maintained according to the manual and were done so at acura service centers by the previous owner.the transmission was checked and fluids flushed and changed lastly at 80k miles and we were told by acura service (in january) that our next service for this would be due at 120k miles.this transmission defect is abundantly evident in hundreds of write-ins on several web forums.someone is going to be seriously injured or worse when this failure occurs at the right moment. We want to trust acura to take care of its customers, to respect their safety, take care of its new customers and future customers, please help to make this the outcome we will come to know and enjoy. Acura has agreed to discount a total of $900 from the otherwise $4909 transmission replacement.that is all they are offering as of now, but we are not satisfied with this offer and are appealing this decision.a new, updated transmission must replace the existing faulty one in order for these vehicles to be safely driven. Thank you!

Automatic transmission frequently hesitates and makes loud grinding noise.this happens especially when driving at low speeds (5mph to 45mph).

Bought 02 mdx and have had no issues.began noticing a stutter when accelerating. Never thought much of it since vehicle performance was never compromised. Recently check engine light came on and had code read. Informed it was a gear ratio mismatch. Call acura dealer and was informed i would need to replace the non-serviceable trany@ ~$2000! researching, found reams of complaints for the same issue.

Well i bout this car about a year ago at about 112k miles..and was a proud owner of a 2002 acura mdx...was great for a while until i started noticing slow acceleration while pressing on the gas...thought nothing of it at first....took it for aservice to acura dealership ...told the service dept about my issue and they are the once who recommended the 120k mi service made me forget about the reason i brought it in the first place ...now 3 mo later malfunction light came on at 128k mi and they tell me my transmission is going bad ....they knew this when i took it in the first time..but of course instead of telling me then they let me spend $2k on service and now telling me its going to cost me $5k for a new transmission ...thanks! i am pretty ticked coming to know that this issue has been ongoing for thousands of people and they are not doing a thing about it !

On 4/2/2009 the front end of my 2002 acura mdx seized while driving 35 mph locking up the front end causing the vehicle to skid 5-7 feet to a halt. It turns out the transmission that was suppose to be fixed per the recall under campaign number 04v176000 was the issue.it was a gear failure that resulted in transmission lockup. As there were no vehicles behind me when this happened an accident did not occur; however, this was an issue that was suppose to be addressed and it appears it wasn't. Acura states the issue was fixed in 2004 and after further investigation, it appears there are dozens of similar testimonials of this exact occurrence on online forums. Acura denied the existence of an issue and i feel this is a public safety concern that requires further action.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that his vehicle would not shift into gear.on 12/12/08, acura headquarters refused to pay or help pay for the major work on the transmission cost of approximately $4,000+. The dealer confirmed that the recall work was done on june 2, 2004; however, they didn?t state what was done. They will not provide any proof in writing. The carfax report also does not list that there was a recall on the transmission or any recall work was performed. Two acura dealers had the vehicle in their possession (corporate car) when the recall was announced and cannot provide proof that the work was done. The vehicle has currently experienced total transmission failure. Nhtsa campaign id number 04v176000 (power train:automatic transmission) was referenced.since the contact is the second owner of the vehicle, the dealer stated that a new oil jet kit was previously installed; therefore the contact would be responsible for the repair costs.he would like to speak with an investigator concerning the failure.the failure mileage was 140,000.

While driving at 65 mph on highway during a vacation, car transmission light came on, starting smelling funny, read manual and it said if this light was on to pull over immediately - severe damage can occur if you keep driving.we pulled over in the middle of nowhere. Fluid had spilled out all over engine.they said that was from it overheating and boiling the fluid out.we sat for a while and let it cool down. The light went off, but we drove around 50 mph on the highway the rest of our trip.the car resumed to work fine.however, we have constantly had issues with it slipping.we took to our mechanic and then to acura. Both parties at first didn't think anything was wrong, but then both said the transmission needed replacing.acura would not give any discount, so we ended up going with the transmission repair company because it was only $2200 instead of $4500 by acura.was without a car for two weeks.a few months later it began slipping again, so we took back and they repaired again, because this company offered a 12 month warranty.again, was without a car for two weeks.now 7 months later, was driving at night on busy road.i was braking coming up to a red light. The light changed, so i switched to push the gas pedal before i was fully stopped and the transmission completely went out and wouldn't engage at all.my car came to a complete stop in the middle of the red light and cars were swerving all around us to avoid hitting us.it was a miracle we weren't hurt.i put down to park, turned off car, and then it began working like nothing was wrong. Went back to transmission repair place and they said that nothing seemed wrong.they took apart twice and finally replaced out 5th gear even though it looked completely fine. They said they heard the whining noise, too, but couldn't find anything wrong. They did replace though and hoped this would fix it.we still hear the whining noise and now don't feel safe driving our family in this vehicle.

Vehicle shutters on light acceleration.2002 acura mdx.dealer indicates i have a torque converter and pressure switch 4 problem.

Original owner of the vehicle. Has transmission failure on 2002 acura mdx 83k miles.

Transmission hard downshift from 3rd to 2nd gear.fluid jet kit (recall action) has been completed.dealer states this is not covered and transmission replacement is necessary.have seen literally hundreds of other similar complaints on acura message boards.

When the consumer applied the accelerator pedal, the vehicle suddenly hesitated, it then firmly jerked into acceleration.

The vehicle had a transmission defective. Campaign id number : 04v176000.honda was unable to remedy the transmission defect. The vehicle transmission caused the vehicle to lurch forward. *tc

Purchased a 2002 acura mdx based in large part on prior vehicle reliability found with acuras and hondas.transmission on this $40,000+ vehicle, though properly flushed (ahead of mfg. Intervals) and maintained, failed at just over 110,000 miles and at 45 mph with the car effectively "seizing", creating a road hazard.acura dealer refused to cover the costs of repair, though '01-'02 mdx transmission failures are well-documented, and instead "generously offered" (after my goodwill complaint; their term) to knock off appx. 20% from the $4,300 replacement cost for the replacement transmission.given this unit's known design problems and acura's incredibly short-sighted handling of the goodwill procedure (during which i volunteered to pay up to $2,500 of the new transmission's cost; ie over 50%), will never purchase another honda or acura product again.

My mdx has 85k miles on it, and the tranny started the infamous going into neutral at 30-40 mph on an intermittent basis...i've done all the various oil sending unit and egr valve fixes but started having the above problem about 7k ago, but when i took it to the dealer they gave the old hmmm, if we can't repeat it, we really can't replace it.... Then, the engine light came on. I made an appt with the dealer (pleasanton acura), they gave me a $69 a day rental and said they would check it out. They did, and confirmed the engine code was tied to the defective transmission. I only had the standard warranty (50k, 4 yr) . I received a call back the same day saying acura has agreed to pay for the transmission, but i would have to pay for the labor...$1,100. I think acura should have to announce and support a total recall. I never thought i would spend $1,100 on a transmission for a 2002 acura mdx with an out the door price of ~$47,000 - unbelievable!i posted the above on the acuramdx.org website after doing a google search on mdx transmissions and finding hundreds of complaints from car owners across the united states, all having the same transmission problems on 2002 mdx.apparently, acura extended the transmission warranty on their 2002 tl'swith the same transmission problem but for some reason have avoided addressing the mdx with a formal recall or extended warranty even though they know and the public all know the transmission was a defective design and really poses a safety risk for hundreds of mdx owners and others that might be affected when the mdx transmission fails to allow the vehicle to accelerate when merging onto a highway with a semi-truck that doesn't know you're having a transmission failure which causes your transmission to slip and lose engine drive power.this is one blatant safety issue that acura should do the right thing and extend the warranty and replace these defective mdx 2002 transmissions.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the transmission began to make noises while going from first to second gear.the manufacture was notified.a private mechanic stated that the transmission needed to be replaced.the failure mileage was 160,000 and the current mileage was 170,000.

2002 acura mdx required a transmission replacement following a rapid deceleration of vehicle on highway.luckily avoided collision by other vehicles.codes on diagnostic indicated trans required replacement at 136,000 miles.to keep vehicle safe, i have paid 4,000 ++ dollars to replace.thankfully accident did not follow with the rapid deceleration.

The suv was driven around 5 miles, and then suddenly would not accelerate in the middle of fast moving traffic. The engine rpm was showing much higher than normal (with high engine noise), but the suv wasn't moving into higher gear.this sudden slow moving car in middle of fast moving traffic could have caused an accident. Amoco checked the transmission, and said the oil level was fine, but part of the oil was "burnt". The transmission is being rebuilt by aamco.the suv is 8 years old and low mileage - 63k miles, and well maintained. Transmission oil was replaced 5 months back.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle would not properly switch gears and the rpms would increase to the next gear.the vehicle was taken to a dealer and they stated that it was included in nhtsa campaign id number 04v176000 (power train:automatic transmission).the dealer stated that they added an oil cooler return line, which increased lubrication to the second gear.the vehicle is currently in need of a new transmission.the current mileage was 84,400 and failure mileage was 84,000.

Driving at approx. 40 mpg. During acceleration the car did not respond and then lurched forward.the second time the car did not respond during acceleration going up a hill and i started to lose momentum.engine light finally came on after approx 10 seconds.i was stuck on the road without being able to move the vehicle off the road.dealer concluded that it was transmission failure.no help in subsidizing fix as vehicle was out of warranty.

2002 acura mdx automatic transmission failure occurred at 77k miles.symptoms included up-shift hesitation between 2-3 drive gears, hard and jerky transmission changes in both drive and reverse.the symptoms started to get progressively worse and more frequent.i took this mdx to a local aaa-approved, independent auto repair shop for a diagnosis.the shop's repair technician and a transmissions specialist test drove the mdx and experienced the same type of symptoms.they returned and reported that the transmission was indeed failing.i had the mdx towed to the acura dealership where the vehicle was purchased.the dealership's service department confirmed that the transmission was failing and it had to be replaced completely.the transmission was replaced with a rebuilt unit by the acura service department.a historical note: back in the fall of 2004, i received notice of a mdx transmission recall from acura.shortly upon receiving this notice i did take this mdx to an acura dealership service department and had the transmission recall service done.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact noticed that whenever the speed reached between 20-35 mph, the gears would stick.in addition, the check engine indicator began illuminating on the instrument panel.the dealer stated that the transmission was defective and needed to be replaced.the vehicle was repaired.immediately following the repair, the gears became even more difficult to shift than before the repair was performed.the vehicle was driven back to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure.the following day, while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle began smoking from the rear and all of the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel.the vehicle stalled and was towed to the nearest acura dealer.the contact was informed that the intermediate bracket failed, which caused the transmission to fail.the vehicle has not been repaired.the manufacturer stated that they would issue a new transmission, but were not liable for the repairs for the intermediate bracket.the current mileage was 61,900 and failure mileage was 61,000.

Acura claimed to fix my transmission, as per the recalls that were made on 2001-2002 acura mdx's.they obviously did not fix what they needed to.yesterday as i was driving i noticed that the transmission would shift to different gears on its own!!for example i would be in d5 a drive gear.sometimes it would shift itself to neutral, and sometimes to d4,3.this is extremely dangerous as it can cause accidents if this were to happen at inopportune times.i just got off the phone with acura and they said that they fixed what was necessary to be fixed when i brought the car in 1-2 years ago.this is unacceptable and i feel that the nhtsa should be doing something about this potentially fatal issue with this car.i was told to wait for a manager to come back in this wednesday july 5th.my acura dealership is located in roslyn, ny;called rallye acura.this car is a p.o.s., and i would like to know if there are any class action lawsuits against acura for this car.i have found out that there are numerous design flaws in the 2001-2002 mdx transmissions.please help to force acura to resolve this issue as they are not being cooperative nor careful, which i feel is outrageous due to the dangerous nature of this transmission issue.also, i do not want a "refurbished or rebuilt" transmission which i have been informed is what they are doing.obviously whatever they are doing is not working.

My two sons (17 and 18) were driving my acura mdx 2002 on a highway 45 miles from home when the revs starts going out of control when the vehicle was driven over 40 mph. They had to be towed back by aaa and i have had to have the transmission changed at 121k.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the vehicle would shift gears independently. When shifted into reverse, the vehicle would abnormally accelerate forward. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the transmission was defective and would need to be replaced. The mechanic also stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign id number: 04v176000 (power train: automatic transmission). The manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 89,000.

Consumer statedtransmission was slipping. However, consumer had this problem for the last 2 years. Consumer took the vehicle to dealer several times, bu tproblem recurred.

2002 acura mdx transmission failure, transmission failed at 71k miles and cut power from engine to wheels in the middle of the street.there are many reports of this similar thing happening to mdx owners.the transmission is defective!

My wife was driving our 2002 acura mdx about 35-40 mph when the car locked up like the brakes were slammed on. Car was immobile and could not be pushed off the roadway until the arrival of a tow truck. Dealer now has the car and says it was transmission failure. Symtoms are the same as discribed as failures in a recall of this vehicle. Recall work was done about 5000 miles ago in which an oiling device was installed to correct the problem. Failure occured anyway after the correction. My contention is that the required inspection of the gears was not performed correctly and the "fix" was performed instead. The dealer says i may be liable for 4500 dollars to replace the defective transmission because it has 101000 miles on it and they only warrenty it to 100000. If the problem was recognized at 96000 when the recall work was done, i wouldn't be in this predicament- thanks

A month or so ago i noticed the vehicle wasn't shifting as smoothly as it should. That was followed shortly thereafter by the transmission slipping out of gear briefly. Then, recently, as i was merging into freeway traffic the vehicle wouldn't shift out of a lower gear and i was forced to pull to the shoulder to avoid being hit from behind. I sat there until traffic cleared at which time i was able to slowly continue down the road. The transmission then shifted correctly. I believe this to be a serious safety concern, and in light of all else i have read regarding transmission issues with acura mdx's, something needs to be done about this.

2002 acura mdx has had the transmission replaced twice and it needs another transmission now. *njthe transmission temperature light illuminated and the transmission would slip before taking off. The transmission was replaced due to an internal failure of the clutch.

Nhtsa recall 04v176000 concerning automatic transmission.after having the oil cooler return lines revisedvehicle vibrated/jerked, and the transmission locked up. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined thattransmission needed to be replaced.

Upon startingthe vehicle, there was anoise which also occurred while driving. The automatic transmission had to be replaced because it failed. Also, the rack and pinion had to be replaced at 12,000. The vehicle is still having problems with the rack and pinion.

2002 acura mdx transmission failure at 109100 miles, extend warranty expired @ 108,462 miles.there was a recall for the transmission that required acura service department to do an inspection, but there have been countless transmission problems with this model vehicle.the replacement cost is $4400 which is what the dealership is charging me.it seems cheaper to buy another vehicle.there have to have been thousands of others on year models 2001-2005 acura mdx suvs.

Transmission failed on freeway.

While driving under normal conditions at 35mph, the car jerked violently and continued to until i pulled to the side of the road. After a phonecall to assess what might have happened, it was suggested the transmission was acting up. I bought the car 6 months ago at 95k and peformed its regular oil change and transmission fluid. They recommended i had to replace my cv boots and brakes, but i don't see how that would affect the transmission. They quoted me at $5000 and would see to any discounts. After much research, it is apparent that there are definitely manufacture defects in these transmissions, but acura and honda has made it clear to me they are not willing to help.

2002 mdx transmission shudder, vibrate, noisy between 20 to 40mph. Dealer install a/t oil jetkit to resolve the problem. However, the problem is not solved.

Recall nhtsa campaign id number 04v176000, relating to motor vehicle safety, was issued for owner's vehicle.recall was for defective acura mdx transmission. Acura failed to notify owner of transmission recall, even though owner has lived at same address for nearly ten years. Acura's records confirm that acura failed to notify owner of transmission recall.owner discovered transmission recall on nhtsa website in 2008.owner brought vehicle to authorized acura dealer in october of 2008 for repair of defective recalled transmission.acura dealer determined that owner's transmission was defective and required replacement.acura dealer estimated cost to replace owner's transmission at $5,500.00.acura refused to provide any free of charge replacement service or repair to recalled defective transmission.owner's vehicle has remained on premises of the authorized acura dealer since october of 2008.

Truck started hesitating on the freeway at 70 mph.was almost hit from behind when truck made sudden jerk then hesitated.

Torque converter issue (vibration/shudder/grinding between 20-50 mph while accelerating).acura recommends replacement of transmission and torque converter.acura has not acknowledged this as a problem, despite the repeated incidents of failure.this is a known problem and needs to addressed by acura!!!!it would be safe to say from similar complaints that i've read on the internet that there are probably thousands of mdxs that have this problem.

2002 acura mdx: for about 2 month's there seemed to be loss of power during driving.i assumed maybe i was wearing shoes with higher heels and passed it off as not pressing the gas pedal as hard as i thought.2 weeks ago while driving the vehicle made a loud sound and loss forward motion power, the check engine light came on. We stopped and had the vehicle loaded on a car trailer to the nearest honda dealer (closer than an acura dealer). Now we are informed the tranny is needing replaced at 86,600 miles.listed info on this vehicle by vin is a 2004 recall of the 2nd gear which was fixed by the prior owner at about 42,000 miles and a search of the internet reveals many people reporting the similar tranny related problems. At this time we are waiting to hear if acura will help with the repairs estimated at over $4000 but others in online postings have stated they have had no luck with acura helping- we will see.this is a tremendous safety concern and disservice to consumers. We were lucky there were no other vehicles around at the point that ours went out.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the engine made a fluttering noise. The failure continued to recur intermittently over a six month period.the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.the manufacturer was notified of the defect.the approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

Whenbrakes were applied there was a popping sound, also, when switching from forward to reverse there was a popping sound.

2002 acura mdx - transmission noise.purchased vehicle new from acura dealership in 2002. Maintained religiously as per manufactures specifications.brought vehicle to dealership after hearing noise in transmission between 20-30mph.vehicle mileage: 88,512. Dealership reported internal transmission failure - transmission needs to be replaced.estimated cost: $4738. After receiving news, researched mdx transmission issues and found numerous complaints filed online about 2002 mdx transmissions, citing risk of transmission lock-up, and loss of control of vehicle for 2001 / 2002 mdx - posing a significant safety risk. Spoke with acura corporate.per corporate - warranty expired at 50,000.acura will only stand behind product within warranty.acura does not consider us an "acura customer" and will not offer any good-will assistance on transmission because maintenance was not performed at acura dealership, despite offering service record history, and having a prior ownership history of acuras, and family ownership history of hondas and acuras.acura representative indicated that we should have purchased an extended warranty when we bought the vehicle.

Transmission failure at 64,600 miles.

Vehicle abruptly downshifted almost throwing driver through windshield traveling at approx 30 mph. Immediately brought to dealer where the downshifting occurred 3-4 more times on the 6 mile drive to dealer. Determined by dealer to be transmission failure. Allservicing for transmission was done in a timely manner including 2004 recall service where jet kit was installed.dealer covering all costs of replacement except $500 out of pocket expenses and providing a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty on repair. Had this failure occurred on a busy highway a severe accident would have been highly likely.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that when she attempted to accelerate, the vehicle would not move and other times, the rpms would increase but the vehicle would still accelerate abnormally slow. The contact also experienced problems when shifting gears. The vehicle was previously repaired by an authorized dealer in 2004 under nhtsa campaign id number: 04v176000 (power train: automatic transmission) and when the vehicle was returned to the contact, the dealer advised that the transmission would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the manufacturer who stated that because the vehicle was previously repaired under the recall, they could offer no further assistance. The failure mileage was 107,962 and the current mileage was approximately 108,000.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact stated that the transmission shifted into second gear with much difficulty.the vehicle is experiencing the same failure as listed in nhtsa campaign id number 04v176000 (power train:automatic transmission).the dealer stated that the transmission was discolored.they are currently attempting to remedy the failure.the failure mileage was 85,000.

2002 acura mdx frequently hesitates shifting at about 1200-1500 rpm. Problem began at around 110, 000 miles and expect it's the torque converter or faulty transmission that is so prominent with these vehicles.

My 2002 acura mdx has approximately 94,000 mi on it and recently the transmission experienced slippage when it would try to adjust to 2nd gear.an indicator light came on recently and i had my mechanic perform a diagnostic test on it.it was revealed that it was a transmission code.i took it to my local acura dealer (45 mins away) and they determined that i needed a new transmission.they upfront said they would offer to cover 50% of the cost for parts & labor as a goodwill gesture and gave me a free rental car while my vehicle was being serviced.i then went on nhtsa.gov and noted there was a vehicle recall in 2004 on the automatic transmission lines for 2002 acura mdx's.i brought this issue up with my service rep and they said that in 2004 they had made the proper revision to alleviate this problem due to the recall.(made a revision on the oil cooler line).i then called acura client services and spoke with a case manager to tell him that i think this problem with my transmission was a direct result of the vehicle recall from 2004 and used the analogy that acura simply put a band aid over a gaping wound to temporarily solve the problem.he said he would see if he could do anything and as it turns out, he claimed there was nothing better he could offer me than 50/50 split of the costs.acura did replace my transmission with a rebuilt transmission this time, however they charged me 50% of the service cost (~$1700).i feel that i have gotten the short end of the stick and that had proper precautions been taken in 2004 to replace the transmission, i wouldn't have to take it in the shorts now for $1,700.i believe the acura recall was p31.

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle made a clicking noise as it accelerated from 30-40 mph.the dealership determined the tork converter needed to be replaced.

Torque converter issue (vibration/shudder/grinding between 20-50 mph while accelerating).acura recommends replacement of transmission and torque converter.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx.the contact has experienced multiple failures with the vehicle shifting into neutral.while driving various speeds, the vehicle will shift into neutral.the vehicle will then resume normal operation and drive in the correct gear.the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they determined that the torque converter in the transmission failed.the contact is in the process of getting the vehicle repaired.the manufacturer stated that no compensation would be provided because there were no recalls.the contact was advised to file a claim for good will with the manufacturer.she filed a good will complaint with the manufacturer and was informed that they would cover half of the repair cost; however, the 105,000 mile service would have to be performed at the dealer.the failure and current mileages were 97,000.

2002 acura mdx srs light constantly on which means the air bag may not function normally. 1. Acura refuses to address this seat belt limited warranty issue (which continues for the life of the car and includes repair or replacement) without a minimum diagnostic charge of $130 prior to effecting repair as warranty item (warranty page attached). 2. Have already had code diagnosed as defective driver side seat belt sensor by independent mechanic which acura refuses to believe or act upon. 3. When it comes to a serious safety issue in a car covered as a warranty item, the company should be required to diagnose the problem and perform repair per their warranty agreement without charge. They are putting lives in danger by insisting on not performing the work until completing their own diagnostic check at the car owners cost.4, this light is on from car start up to engine turn off.

All passengers seatbelts will lock up upon being buckled and will not loosen. Passengers are being strangled by shoulder belts. Dealer stated that was how the seatbelts were designed. The passengers cannot move forward or reach as the belts lock as if in a crash.it will not release unless the seat belt is unfastened.consumer was told that this was a safety feature to hold the carseat in place.all warning signs in vehicle say not to place the child seat in the front seat.the seat belt harness tightens against the cartoid artery in the neck and locks tightly.the wall adjuster does not help the problem.as of june 28th the company has made attemps to fix the problem but it still locks frequently and tightly.*jg

The driver seat will only go back and forth. It will no longer tilt or go up and down.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that the latch for the rear passenger side seat was not working properly. The contact was not able to adjust the seat back upon maneuvering the latch. The dealer stated that the hose and the wires connected to the latch fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.updated 10/10/14

Rear brake makes noise.*la

On multiple occasions, on either wet or dry pavement, the car failed to stop and continued on dangerously into intersections. Once the brakes were either applied or pumped the car continued to slide for at least 30 feet when going slowly to come to a stop at a stop light. The dealer on each occasion told me that there was nothing wrong with the brakes.

While driving at any speed intermittently with brakes engaged vehicle rolled for an excessive distance before coming to a stop.vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions for the same problem. Dealer informed the consumer that the brakes were working normally.

The srs light was on constantly.the vehicle was serviced three different times before the chip was replaced.the vehicle abs light illuminated intermittently.the dealer attempted to repair the vehicle several times but was unsuccessful.

Upon startingthe vehicle, there was anoise which also occurred while driving. The automatic transmission had to be replaced because it failed. Also, the rack and pinion had to be replaced at 12,000. The vehicle is still having problems with the rack and pinion.

I have a 2002 acura mdx.every time it rains, the carpet on the front driver and passenger side get soaked with water. I cannot visually see where the water is coming from. I called the dealer and i was told that its not a manufacturer defect. I went online and i found out that alot of people have the same issues with their car. I believe this should be manufacturer defects is so many drivers are having issues . Not only that the water can reach the electrical components which can be deadly. Please advise if the dealer should be responsible if so many people having this problem.based on my research online, newer models experienced the same problems that i'm having. I believe the company should be responsible if so many people are having issues.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that while reversing, a dragging noise was heard from the vehicle. I purchased a 2002 acura mdx in january 2011 with 145,000 miles and less than a week after my purchase i had it back to the dealership service center with a "rumble strip" noise in the front end.i was told that it was 2 broken chords in my tires.new tires all around were purchased.back in to service center less that 2 week later for same rumble strip noise...told that new tires needed balanced.service center supposedly balanced tires.back in to service center in less than a month again with same rumble strip noise...told that the new tires were actually too hard of a compound.they were made for a heavy duty truck, not a light duty suv.service center told me that there was nothing further that could be done for my used mdx except new tires.issue was dropped for approx. 4 months until the rumble strip noise continued to get worse, so on my 4th trip to the service center with the same rumble strip noise that i have had since january...tech and i went for a ride together.at that time, i was told the noise that i was hearing was "wind blowing across my hood"!on that visit, i stood my ground and told them to check it over closer and not call me until they found out the real problem as i was not taking it home with me!finally after 4 trips to the acura service center, my torque converter got changed out.when i asked them to look at the transmission to make sure there were no issues with it, i was told there had already been work done my transmission so when i asked for the paperwork on it...the service center coundl not provide it to me - even though they said they would!i purchased the extended arranty for issus just like this and now i can't even get the service center to do the work and prove to me that the transmission is not going to lock up on me going down the road!i am a single mother with a young son and was assurance he is safe. Help!

Prior to buying, i called acura in fort walton and asked if there were any recalls on my vehicle. They said no. I purchased a 2002 mdx only to find out later that these vehicles have had major hazardous transmission issues. I also found that there was a recall on my vehicle for the transmission. The recall stated that acura would either install a jet pack--if the vehicle had less than 15,000 miles on itor if it had more than 15,000 miles on it, they would replace the transmission. I spoke with [xxx] in acura customer relations and he looked up my vin and said that he did see the recall but that my vehicle "was inspected and no issues were found" in 2005 and due to that inspection the recall was "completed". However, i brought up the fact that the recall states that they were to either add a jet pack (cooler) if the vehicle was less than 15,000 miles or replace the transmission if the vehicle had more than 15,000 miles. He then changes his story and said "well then of course the jet pack was installed". I got off the phone with him and posted to acura's facebook page as at this point, i have heard conflicting stories. They had another customer relations person call me and she gave me the name of the dealership that did this "inspection" in 2005. I called the dealership and they said the same thing "it shows the recall was completed in 2005 but we don't know how it was completed". Based on the carfax, the vehicle had 18,000 miles on it in 2004. According to the recall, since it surpassed the 15k mark, they should have replaced the transmission in 2005--not installed a jet pack. In any case, i asked the shop my car is at to look and they said there is no jet pack or cooler installed. They also informed me that i need a new transmission and that the car could have locked up on me and caused a crash. Thank god that didn't happen with my kids in the car. I have acura mdx 2002. On march 4th, 2011 while trying to park in a parking lot the car suddenly took off (unintended sudden acceleration) hitting the parked car in front and that in turn hit another parkedcar. Luckily noe was in both the cars.i had no control on the vehicle it kept speeding.

This started a long time ago. My engine would rev up and i would have to push my breaks so hard to slow or stop. A mechanic finally found it was the cruise control sticking. The part was sold $800. I got it fixed but thought this was very dangerous. It also would not go back into gear after i would stop the engine when this would happen. I would go into the manual release tab to finally get going again.

While driving and upon hitting the brakes vehicle continuously accelerated. Consumer's vehicle then hit the back of another vehicle.however, the vehicle could not stop. Hitting the back of a third vehicle. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy.

The contact owns a 2003 acura mdx. While driving 40 mph, the driver attempted to decelerate but lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle maintained speed despite the brake pedal being depressed and caused the driver to crash into a cement wall. The air bags failed to deploy upon impact but instead, deployed several minutes later. The driver sustained lacerations, a fractured tooth, injuries to the head, wrist, ribs and bruises. The passenger sustained an elevated blood level, bruising, discomfort, and irritated eyes. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was destroyed and the manufacturer was not made aware of the incident. The vehicle was not inspected to determine the cause of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

Priority acura gave 2002 mdx back monday 4/3/17 had problems again with it slippin into neutral and wont move in d5...this time check engine light came on and d5 started blinking and gear shift was not move pass n until james the mechanic shut off vehicle and started it back up.

The contact owns a 2002 acura mdx. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph, the vehicle erroneously accelerated and the rpm increased excessively. The brakes were depressed very hard and the stopped in an open field. The vehicle was towed to a private mechanic who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Driving at 70 mph vehicles vtm4 light started to fkash 3 seconds later all wheels locjmked up and uder feet was so hot had to lift my feet skidded about 290 feet.

Consumer was driving and all of a sudden the speedometerran wild.shepulled the vehicle to the side, and turned it off, but the speedometer kept moving as if the vehicle was still running.consumer then called a tow truck and had the vehicle towed to a acura dealer, who told her that the problem sounded like the recall that was on this kind of vehicle.consumer later received a recall. On her vehicle.consumerdid not feel that the problem was beensolved, because the rpm gauge did not go back to zero like it did before the above incident. Will take the vehicle back to the dealer for further evaluation.

My acura mdx 2002 had a frozen/stuck accelerator pedal that caused the vehicle to throttle high speed upto 50 mph within 30 secs. The car went out of control and could not stop instantly when hit the brakes. Crash caused the property, vehicle damage and accident reported to police and dmv.

While the consumer was drivingat 30 mph sudeenly the vehicle turned left on its own, then turned right on its own, andaccelerated.

Driver and passenger side windows streak after exposure to water or snow reducing driver visibility.the streaking occurs when the mdx is parked in rain/snow or driven in rain/snow.when windows are rolled down then back up both the inside and outside of the window are streaked with water and debris.this will last for days.because of the salt or dirt that sits with the water, visibility is jeopardized and driving is unsafe.the streaks cover 75% of the window moving from front to back leaving the back 25% of the window with some visibility.

Interior of windows streak with water after rain/car wash when rolled down any distance.the streaking happens within the first 8 to 10 inches of the window.dealer has no fix and states manufacturer does not have a fix.

Driving on the interstate and out of no where my back passenger side window exploded for no reason, no other vehicles where near us so no debris or objects hit my window. I got glass in my hand and arm.
