Vehicle was involved in an accident at a impact of 30-35 mph by hitting a tow truck. Upon impact,both air bags failed to deploy, and driver's side seat belt came unlatched. No injuries reported.manufacturer was not contacted.

Rear power window on driverside sometimes doesn't work from the drivers seat.... Center console/arm rest breaks and the coffee holder will not return to its stored/locked position...transmission shifts noisey and hard under light throttle, even after new transmission fluid has been installed....new oem[acura installed] battery goes dead after 1 month if car isn't started every week,,[acura says it is because of all the computers which must continue to run and draw current...recommed a trickle battery charger]...beat car i have ever owned, had gm's all rest of 45 years, and love the qualityof workmanship, and engineering the japanese build into the vehicle.

Engine damage from lack of oil pressure as a result of a blocked metallic mesh undr engine, causing vehicle to stall.

Consumer has taken vehicle in to get repairs donein march, and until today they have not gotten parts in.
Recall 01 v 043 000/speaker amlifiers: unable to get dealer island acura, wantagh, ny; phone # 516/679-5400 to honor recall due to non availability ofparts. Seeking help from nhtsa in this matter. Dealer informed consumer that parts would not be available until at least the end of july 2001.
Prior to recall notification, consumer experienced popping and clicking sounds from the speakers, therefore the audio system has been unusable since january 2001, consumer contacted the dealership and was informed that this region would not receive replacement parts until the end of the year, and she would be contacted when the parts are available.
Consumer will fill in information concerning recalled equipment. Consumer states amplifier failed.

Car-1992 acura ledgenduncontrolled acceleration.while driving the gas pedal went to the floor and held at that position.the car has a manual transmission so i releaced the clutch and sent to the side of the road and turned the car off. The gas pedal did not return to the up possission even with the car off.. I started the car but the gas pedal remained down and the engine raced.i immeadiantly turnedthe car off. Again i tryed bt the same thing happened. I turned the car off immediantly and then the gas peddle returned to nomal.this happened the previous day when i started the car but i thought i was only just prior to this i had problem i had cleaned the battery teminals otherwise the car has had no problems.

Car lost nearly all power steering fluid.dealer recommended the car not be driven due to possible lack of steering control.entire power steering rack had to be replaced along with pinion seals.
Air dam and front bumper too low to ground, resulting in vehicle damage.
Door locks somtimes lock without command. You may just close the door and locks will lock. I consider this a safety risk since such uncommanded locking at the wrong time, such as in an accident or at a time you need to get out quickly, could be very unsafe.

Consumer purchased vehicle on december 03, 1998. Ondecember6, 1998, consumer pushed the power windows down and the windows did not return to the up position with out manual help. Consumer will provide vin.# once received. Consumer is having problems with dealership in resolving defect.

The wiper inserts were worn causing streaks on the windshield, the windshield washer tube was split making the washer inoperative.nlm
