I have taken my car already for service for the squeaky brakes and it keeps coming back. There is no reason why a 2016 year old vehicle should be having squeaky brakes.
I got the safety recall for the aibags on wedenesday and went to the cerritos acura dealer to discuss my needs and concerns to this matter. What they were able to do was set me up in a rental car through enterprise. The rental car provided to me was a 2016 hyudai sonata std model. Yes, it was a standard model only. I purchased my 2016 acura ilx with aspec pckg which includes moonroof, upgraded alloy wheels and my heated seats, my touchscreen. All these features i am missing out on this hyundai i was replaced meanwhile parts are available. It is an iconvenience for me since i am paying $550 a month for my car payment and i have to be driving this 2016 hyundai sonata that does not even have a back up camera? this is unfair and unreasonable!! this is a major downgrade for me and i will take this into my own matters to make it known that i am a very unhappy customer.

Although there is no recall, the dealership stated its becoming a common complaint for the ilx. Seemed to be well for a while but problem has resurfaced. 2. Back windows misaligned. Took to dealership and parts needed to be ordered to fix the issue. 3. Takata inflators. Takata should take responsibility and pay for a comparable rental vehicle. Safety should be a top priority considering they manufactured a defective product and apparently did not do enough testing before release. I don't blame honda, i blame takata for only doing the bare minimum and backing the car dealerships into a corner. Next time i purchase a vehicle, i will be checking the air bag manufacturer before i buy! car dealership has been amazing and has wonderful service!
The contact owned a 2016 acura ilx. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown rate of speed, the contact stated that she was t-boned by another vehicle while exiting the highway. The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact also stated that the driver side window shattered into several pieces as a result of the impact. The contact did not received medical attention at the scene. A police report was filed and the vehicle was totaled at the scene. The vehicle was then towed to an independent tow yard. The contact sought medical treatment after the accident for glass that had been lodged into various parts of her body. The next day, the contact went to her primary doctor where an x-ray discovered a bulging disc in her back and bruises to her left hip and left shoulder. Acura of orange park (7200 blanding blvd, jacksonville, fl 32244) and the manufacturer had been notified of the failure and neither offered any assistance for the matter. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was unknown due to suspected odometer fraud on the vehicle.
Kearny mesa acura dealership in san diego, ca. Hasn't fix the takata air bag in my car. I've been working on this item for one year. They do not return calls,will not schedule repair, hang up on you, bad business people!!!!
"takata recall"i was involved in a wreck with an 18 wheeler. I was in the right lane traveling south on hwy 59 right outside of garrison, tx and the 18 wheeler was in the left lane. The 18 wheeler came into my lane hitting my rear drivers side bumper. This knocked my vehicle out of the right lane and perpendicular to the left lane. Then the front of the 18 wheeler hit my entire drivers side and plowed my vehicle down the highway a significant distance. Afterwards my car went into a tail spin. My vehicle stopped in the median lane facing south on hwy 59 with the hood of my vehicle pointed into the left northbound lane. The crash report states a speed of 75 mph. My drivers side airbags failed to deploy when i was struck by the 18 wheeler.

I received a recall notice in the mail less than a week ago for the exploding dangerous airbags. I tried to bring my car into the dealership over the weekend but i was told that there was no "customer service" on the weekends so i had to drive my car to work on monday. The next day on tuesday i missed a few hours of work because the dealerships rental service is only open during my working hours. When i turned my car in they told me that they won't cover the insurance which means i have to buy extra insurance on the loaner car. Why do i have to pay for the extra insurance? isn't acura responsible for that? now i have to pay insurance on my acura and the rental vehicle! this isn't right at all. I called my insurance company to see if they can do a temporary change of vehicles and they said that they could only do it for a maximum of two weeks. Unfortunately, two weeks won't be enough time since acura told me that it will take up to two months for my airbag to be fixed. I don't think anyone who has a recall for that long period of time should be forced to pay for the insurance for a rental car - that is acura's responsibility.

On 12-28-16 as i was leaving for work. My engine would not start. Pedal to push down and start button was not working. All icons on my car popped up and says malfunction on all level. It also made weird sounds in front and inside the car. I called cerritos acura for assistance and spoke with service adviser-don,who indicated he has been aware of new car with battery issue. He asked that i replaced my battery first and bring it to them. I called aaa,who verified my battery is bad with pacific tow. They couldn't replace it cuz they ran out of battery. My car couldn't lock so i had ittowed to my house with a flat bed. Next day, acura towed my car to dealership, my car is not able to start period. Windows can't go up, they couldn't check odometer,couldn't lock. All icons shows malfunction. I reported to acura headquarter with my issue. Acura cerritos is trying to release car back to me stated everything is fine without fixing it. Internet shows class action suit related to defect of handsfreelink bluetooth phone pairing system contains defect, that results in dead car batteries which drained batteries with recurrent battery replacement and premature failure of other electrical components of vehicle/alternator and electrical failure. The car sounds like i have something short circuited and with ecm engine control module. I also have being complaining of gps stuck and fob not working. It wonā€™t let me stay in the lane while i driving
Driving on freeway at freeway speed, vehicle shifted into n. All power was lost although engine remained at idle. Necesitated emergency menauevers to shoulder of freeway. All alert lights lit, vehicle remained at idle. Was unable to select any gear. Vehicle was towed by roadside service to dealer. In motion, at freeway speed, on freeway.
My 2016 acura ilx transmission makes a "clunking" sound when 1) the accelerator is depressed after slowing down; whilst slowing down to a stop.seems as though the 8 speed auto transmission is remaining at too high a gear at slower speeds.the sound is quite disconcerting.i have escalated the issue to acura corporate office, and their response is that other vehicles of the same model make the same sound.really???is acura just waiting for complaints of transmissions or torque converters blowing up before they take appropriate action?
There eis a clunking noise coming from under the hood. There is a metal to metal clunking wherever there is shift in drive train torque. Technician suspected bad engine/transmission mount clunking against the subframe or body. I've brought it to service over 4 times and been without my car for over a month and they're saying it's as designed.

The contact owns a 2016 acura ilx. While the vehicle was undergoing an oil change, a leak from the passenger side intermediate bearing seal was found. The leak could create a loss of power transfer to the wheels and cause the vehicle to stop suddenly. A parked vehicle would roll if the parking brake were not applied. Naples acura (659 airport-pulling rd, naples, fl 34104, (239) 330-4212) was contacted and stated that the vin was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was contacted and refused to assist with the repair cost. The failure mileage was 86,599.
Brakes squeak when stopping "loud noise" dealer told me that is normalhome-link is short in range - dealer told me that is normalbackup sensors - no on and off switch and makes beep when putting into reverse. - dealer told me that was normal.backup camera - blurry and is worst at night very unsafe - dealer told me that was normal that he tested 4 2016 ilx and that all the same.
The contact owns a 2016 acura ilx. While the contact's daughter was driving 2 mphthe vehicle jerked forward independently while approaching a stop. Additionally, the vehicle failed to slow down even after the driver removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and depressed the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle accelerated by itself as i parked in a parking space. I steped on the brake but the vehicle just surged forward. Never happened before, but just that day morning as i parked in front of my working place, some malfunctions either in computer or overall vehicle system occurred that day.
Same as the other incidents submitted below - my car accelerates when i apply the brakes. I have to take my foot off of the brakes and reapply before the car reacts and stops. This fault occurs when i'm slowing down and almost at a stop, so this has happened when i have been in close proximity of other cars in front of me, people in crosswalks, approaching my neighborhood gate, slowing down to make a turn, slowing down when approaching stop signs - i had no choice but to run the stop sign. This has happened 8-9 times. First time it happened, i thought it might have been my mistake. After the 3rd or 4th time, i was sure it was not. I brought my car back to the acura dealership that purchased the car from. I have taken the car there 3 times and all 3 times, after running inspections, i'm told they are 'unable to verify customer's concerns' because they 'cannot duplicate the concern'. They gave me my car back to drive. I feel extremely unsafe in my acura.
The car displayed multiple errors on its multi-information display. The errors include brake system problem, abs problem, road departure mitigation system problem, and adaptive cruise control problem. Those error messages went away on my way to elk grove acura but i was able to record them on my phone. There was still an error message in the acuralink system for the electric power steering that i showed the service advisor. He deleted the message without telling me and said those errors are caused by a low battery. He went to test the battery and it tested fine so i was told that there was nothing to fix. He sent me home after refuse my request to document the errors with acura. He made it like i never brought the car in and those problems never existed.

1st incident - on oct 17th 2017, on my way back from gym and this is a street drive. I was approaching a stop sign which is on a sort of a hill. I pressed the brakes and the car accelerated insteat and i could not stop at the stop sign. I did press it again harder and the car stopped but i had already crossed the stop sign by then. I was confused and scared but assumed that it was my fault and continued home driving carefully.2nd incident - on the same day on my way to work, the exact same thing happened and again i pressed very hard on the brakes the second time and that helped. By this time i was sure something is wrong with the car.3rd incident - same day on my way back from work, this time i was being very careful and riving very slow in the right most lane, the exact same thing happened.i did not drive the car after that and the car is with the cerritos acura service center. Not sure if i can drive that car anymore

Acura service at several dealerships have never given me pictures or mentioned transmissions leak but honda gave me all evidence.metal sound transmission is permeated showing this has been a problem threw several inspections that are all documented with acura. From second month of buying car, battery drained, acura towing came and towed car to a nearby dealership and replace battery under warranty. Took car down to dealership that i purchased from about nose in front driver wheel hole and problems with the electrical components of the car. They stated "car is new drive it more"the electrical power stirring, the battery drains quickly(problem with fuse), the brakes system sets off sensors, abs light on, airbag light on (all though dealership stated they repaired that recall). Powertrain and transmission leaking, check hill start assist system, check vsa system, found recall for powertrain on internet that was from july 2019 that i have not been notified about. Complained about paint fading on hood over engine, complained about shocks and struts that don't need replacement but there is something loose that is making noise, i have updated home address with acura but even so when i moved in 2017 i did a chang of address. They have replaced alternator, that i don't believe needed changing at that time, service tech at one dealership told me if i serviced my car would burn up but of course offered me to buy a new car. Brakes squeak when stopping "loud noise" dealer told me that is normalhome-link is short in range - dealer told me that is normalbackup sensors - no on and off switch and makes beep when putting into reverse. - dealer told me that was normal.backup camera - blurry and is worst at night very unsafe - dealer told me that was normal that he tested 4 2016 ilx and that all the same.
2016 acura ilx1. Breaks squeal when coming to a stop. Dealership stated they replaced the rotors with a more industrial rotor. Although there is no recall, the dealership stated its becoming a common complaint for the ilx. Seemed to be well for a while but problem has resurfaced. 2. Back windows misaligned. Took to dealership and parts needed to be ordered to fix the issue. 3. Takata inflators. Takata should take responsibility and pay for a comparable rental vehicle. Safety should be a top priority considering they manufactured a defective product and apparently did not do enough testing before release. I don't blame honda, i blame takata for only doing the bare minimum and backing the car dealerships into a corner. Next time i purchase a vehicle, i will be checking the air bag manufacturer before i buy! car dealership has been amazing and has wonderful service!
The vehicle accelerated by itself as i parked in a parking space. I steped on the brake but the vehicle just surged forward. Never happened before, but just that day morning as i parked in front of my working place, some malfunctions either in computer or overall vehicle system occurred that day.
The car displayed multiple errors on its multi-information display. The errors include brake system problem, abs problem, road departure mitigation system problem, and adaptive cruise control problem. Those error messages went away on my way to elk grove acura but i was able to record them on my phone. There was still an error message in the acuralink system for the electric power steering that i showed the service advisor. He deleted the message without telling me and said those errors are caused by a low battery. He went to test the battery and it tested fine so i was told that there was nothing to fix. He sent me home after refuse my request to document the errors with acura. He made it like i never brought the car in and those problems never existed.

The car has an open recall. Maus acura in tampa said if it doesn't need repaired at the time they will close the recall without repairs! they are refusing to give me loaner and said they are not fixing it.

The contact owns a 2016 acura ilx. While the contact's daughter was driving 2 mphthe vehicle jerked forward independently while approaching a stop. Additionally, the vehicle failed to slow down even after the driver removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and depressed the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice, but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the contact should bring the vehicle back to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000. Updated 07/21/17*lj updated 11/27/2017
