The contact owns a 2013 kaufman trailer equipped with voma trail express power touring ytr06 tires, size: st235/80/r16. Right front tire on our cedar creek silverback 5th wheel blew while traveling. Large hole was made in tire and tread seperated from tire and caused damage to side of the 5th wheel.vehicle was not overloaded and speed was aprox 55 mph.

1)8 tires have been replaced after approximately 8000 miles on each tire. First noticed is unusual tread wear and bulges in the tire casing. Bulges can be either in the tread or the sidewall near the rim. 2)failures have been tires going flat, tread separation from the sidewall. I have had two sets of four tires supplied by the trailer manufacturer dutchmen exhibit this ply separation after approximately 8000 miles. 3)all the tires have had to be replaced, first time by the trailer manufacturer all at once and the second set one at a time after failure while on the road. Four original defective and one non-defective tire was returned thru the trailer manufacturer, of the second set i have one defective and one spare with less than 178 miles on it and two other defectives are being held by the dealers who replaced the tires, the last defective has been sent to recycle. The tire id is trail express "power towing" dot code 1kmm16a 1311 size st235/80r16 load range e. The consumer stated the model numbers are ytr06 and/or ha109.updated ivoq 11/08/11.

The contact owns a 2009 sunnybrook west pointe trailer equipped with trail express voma tires, tire size sp225/75/c15, and the dot number was r2hh.the contact stated that the tires were 18 months old and that the sidewalls had begun to dry rot exhibiting severe cracking. The vehicle was inspected by a tire dealer and they advised him that the warranty expired and offered no further assistance. The contact replaced all five trailer tires. The manufacturer was contacted and advised him that there were no recalls on the tire brand and line. The failure mileage was approximately 500. The vin was not available.updated 1/26/2012 *ln

The sidewall separated from the bead in three locations approximately .25 inch above the rim. The separations were approximately .5 inch in length. The separations were obviously not caused by an impact or other road damage. The tire deflated over two weeks while parked.

In september 2011 while pulling my new 2010 forest river xlr, we had a tire explode down the middle. We had only been on the road for 20 minutes and traveling at 55 mph. We have less than 2400 miles on the tires. I personally check the tire pressure and lug nut on both my 5th wheel and truck before getting on the road. I notified lionshead specialty tire & wheel and they referred me to voma tire. Voma tire told me to submit pictures which i did and a estimate on the damages. I sent all this in and the representative at voma sent a check for the damages to my 5th wheel and one tire. I ask about the rest of the tires and she state that she could not warrant the tires and would allow me $65.89/ tire and + $10.00 mounting for each tire. She stated that i should replace the tires and cut the dot number off and send them to her and she would issue me a check. After replacing the tires, cutting the dot numbers off and mailing them to voma, the person handling the case was hospitalized and now they refuse to reimburse me. This company scammed me.

Voma trail express tires dot #1kmm16a1410 (2) and 1kmm161310 ((2)st235/80r/16 tires while traveling with 5th wheel silverback by cedar creek (forest river)l we had bothequalizer replaced which was crackedand mechanic noticed 3 of 4 tires had bubbles on inside tires when they removed to replace equalizers.. They indicated a mfg defect and we were lucky that it didn't happened down the road. We had extended warranty coverage on tires but the warranty company said if was for roadhazards. The incident took place 6/12/12 and the warranty co just got back to us not honoring the claim. The mechanic mentioned that the mfg puts the bare minimum on trailers/fifth wheels but the equalizers and tires for closed to 14000lb fifth wheel should have been greater. The equalizer we have taken care of but the tires we have not. We don't know who to contact. The new tires are duro special tr4ailer 235/856r16 12 ply with a f load rating.
