Complaint is relative to personal and public safety, as well as a failure to honor warranty on a set of tires which wore out at a precipitous rate. A bravo car-hauler was purchased october 2014 in thunder bay, ontario, canada from woody's trailer world, who purchased the unit for re-sale from bravo trailers in bristol indiana. The trailer came fitted with the following tires: vail sport st, marked as st 225/75d15, h78-15, dot nmhh 1714, 8 p.r. Load range d, tread 5 plies nylon, sidewall 3 plies nylon. The trailer was manufacture in jun 2014, is a tandem axle, each rated at 5200 pounds. The axles are dexter, and are in alignment correctly. The four tires in question were checked by concerned friends, then by professionals after they were in use for about 36 hours, approximately 3600 kilometers, i.e. 2,160 miles. The tires, inflated correctly at 60 p.s.i. As shown on the sidewall imprint and the trailer spec plate showed irregular wear patterns, each tire wearing differently, pronounced deformity in squareness to the road measured vertically, wear on some to the side of the tread, and out of roundness. The tires were pronounced unsafe, and had to be replaced for safety reasons. The dealer, woody's trailer world, has not had a positive response from the tire supplier, lionshead tire and wheel, who try to assert that the tires were over inflated, which is not true. It was discovered by this complainant that these tires were subject to a nhtsa recall in feb. 2014 and in june 2014. There were approximately 40,000 tires recalled...these should have been recalled also, because they endanger the owner, and the general public. Without the help of charitable experts, my wife and i, and possibly some of the public may have been seriously injured or killed. The service manager at woody's trailer world is attempting to extricate himself from this issue. I am a retired professional fire fighter, and public safety is still a concern. Required field does not give bravo as an option.
