(forward clutch piston and seal) when you brake to turn left or right or even come to a stop and then step on the gas, all the vehicle does is rev. It's like the transmission is stuck in gear or slipping and then it eventually drops into place. It's a pretty hazardous situation if turning into oncoming traffic. I feel this part should have been on a recall because of what happens when all you are doing is braking or slowing down. Please, please look into this problem. I have two children and would hate for someone to lose a child because of a wreck that could have been prevented by issuing a recall. Thank you for providing this site to list problems.( dot number: apm3jeuu02 tire size: 215/70r15 )

Aqua grip radial uniroyal tubeless, e4,0210175,m+s,pz15175r15100s, steel wires sticking out of tire 2 inches and longer when we got the car to a full stop on a mountain side. We moved here 1 yr. Ago, we were told the tire had a "plug" that was all the way inside the tire and had pulled the wires out to the front/ however i can't understand how this would cause the wires to come through the tire all the way around the tire exposing all the wires/ we had one hairy tire, the wires stuck out 2 inches and longer. The steel belting had come apart from the tire on the inside and was flopping around, you could hear it as you rolled the tire around upright on the ground/we purchased two new back tires.( dot number: tire size: pz15175r15 )

I have been a mechanic for 15 years and have had a lot of problems with several brands of firestone tires. About 10 years ago several firestone tires developed lumps in the tread and had to be replaced. Last year, i had two tigerpaw tires sling the tread from the tire and shred at about 70 mph. I have used a lot of tires and these are the only two that ever slung the tread and then shredded. They were not even installed on the car at the same time. These two incidents were about 6 months apart. I stopped using firestone tires completely after that. There are troubles with firestone tires other than the ones currently being recalled on suvs. This needs to be checked into.( dot number: tire size: 225/75r15 )

This is an initial report concerning tire failure on two seperate vehicles. I am an illinois state trooper. Today a ford explorer was involved in a crash as a result of the treads coming of the two rear tires. I also have a personal vehicle with the same.( dot number: tire size: p235/75/r1 )

The wheel covers on my 2003 hyundai sonata are moving on the rims of my tires causing the tire valve stems to flatten and eventually wear through causing sudden tire failure.i have had two (2) sudden tire valve failures since purchasing four new uniroyal tiger paw 205/65r15 tires from b.j.'s wholesale club on may 7. 2005.the tires i bought were the exact size specified for my car in the b'j's tire catalog and my owner's manual.the hyundai dealer tried putting on new wheel covers but that didn't help.later they said that the tires were sticking out too far over the rims, causing them to be in contact with the wheel cover, which caused the wheel covers to move and flatten the valve stems.they acknowledged that the tires were the right size but said they were somehow different from the tires that came with the car.there is nothing in the hyundai owner's manual which specifies any particular tire or brand of tire, or which states that certain tires cannot be used.the only specification is the size, which is 205/65r15, exactly what i purchased.the problem is ongoing.at the dealer's suggestion, i am driving without the wheel covers.even if i buy another set of tires, how do i know they won't cause the same problem?hyundai admitted that they are aware of the this problem but would not take responsibility.*sc
