The manufacturer was notified and instructed the contact to have the tires inspected by an authorized dealer. The contact scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle inspected. I own a 1996 chevrolet c3500 p.u. Purchased new in feb, 1996. This truck came equipped with uniroyal laredo lt245/75r16e tires. They were replaced in may of 2004 after 51,000 trouble free miles. I purchased uniroyal laredo lt245/75r16e awt tires as a replacement. I suffered a tread separation on the right front on june 30, 2007. That tire only had 15,000 mile on it.i had a second tread separation on the left front tire on july 23, 2008 . This tire was 4 years old and had 19,000 miles on it. Always properly inflated and rotated every spring. This was the second failure out of a set of four purchased in 2004. The tires are going to kill someone. I noticed a recall for the next size smaller. Perhaps the recall didn't go far enough.
On march 07, 2011 while traveling on i-95 my mom's suv began shaking and wobbling frantically due to the rubber tread peeling off her uniroyal laredo tires p235/70r15 tires.this was the second time she experience this. The tires were purchased (a set of 4 tires) from bj's wholesale club, they are not helping her eventhough she produced a receipt.instead they denied selling her the tires. Bj's not friendly to senior citizens.
Driving @ 60mp west bound 210frwy in southern california. Rear tire blew and upon looking at tire the tire "threw top tread" and separated.
We were traveling east on interstate 94 near camp douglas, wi. We experienced a complete tire failure.it appears to be ply-separation. We contacted the tire dealer by phone, but they said the tire was not on recall.i wrote the company directly, but did not even get a response.
