After 4 years and 22,000 miles , all 4 tires have developed sidewall cracks and are leaking air through those cracks. These are the trail mark lt245 x16 tires made by kelley springfield ( goodyear). They are on my chevy k2500 4x4 truck, always rotated and inflated to 40 lbs. When not carrying any loads. Tread wear is even with more than half life remaining.
Subject of complaint: goodyear, trail mark m&s lt235/85r16 12/1160, dot pjcr c9kv 0703. Mileage on tire at time of blowout: 37580.4; min tread depth: 3/8"; even wear; no sidewall damage prior to blowout; inflated to dealer spec (checked inflation that am). Vehicle: ford f250long bed, super duty truck. Tire purchased at and installed by ford dealership. Incident: passenger rear tire blow out rendered tire into 3 independent parts: inside and outside rims and tread. Driving uphill pulling small, dual-axle alpaca trailer (empty) at 55 mph at approximately 3 pm pdt; maintained vehicle control, pulled to side of i-80 just west of reno, nv. California highway patrol responded with roadside assistance. Replaced remaining tires with toyo commercial tires, not taking any more chances with goodyear or ford dealership.
Rear tire blew out while driving on highway.serviceman said no sign of a puncture.
Since aug. Of 2008 i've had four flats all at the valve stem. Tires were replaced by a ford dealer in may of 2007. One tire was destroyed,two others have damage.
3 of the 4 tires on my 1995 ford pickup have blown out while on the highway by the entire outside sidewall coming apart. Two in the past week. Date below is latest of the three. Trail mark radial apv 235/75r15's. (this size is not available on your list of models numbers, so disregard any but this number.) also, this complaint is for only one of the three tires that have failed for me, all the same size/ model.
