Toyota highlander (2008) with toyo a20 tires.extremely high wear with low mileage; car hydroplanes with minimal wet road surface, power wheels lose traction, even with slow start.the toyo tire treads are almost worn off at 23000 miles; when in normal driving, one should expect 45000 miles.this is a very poor quality oem tire, and should be recalled.

Purchased 4 tires (toyo observe gp4, 215/65r16 980, dot: cxhb 7em219<) in fall 2003 (from les schwab tire company) to be used on a 2002 chrysler t&c and later a 2004 chrysler t&c (the 2002 chrysler t&c was replaced in april 2004 with a 2004 chrysler t&c).note the tires were over 4 years old when purchased new from the dealer.the tires are winter traction tires and were mounted on their own rims and used each year during the period november - march.the tires were stored (mounted) during the period april - october and were not used during that period. One tire was damaged and replaced in nov 2005 by a tire with dot: cxhb 95k1304).the last time the tires were used was the period november 2008 - march 2009. The tires were used each year for about 5000 miles.the suggested maximum inflation pressure for these tires is 44 psi; the tires were used with an inflation pressure of 40 psi.this report concerns the remaining threedot: cxhb 7em219< tires (photos are available).on july 25, 2010, the following was discovered while the tires were in storage:a.tire #1 tire had a massive tread separation ( tread split apart) which covered over 1/3 of the circumference, plus additional portions of the tread were starting to separate.b.tire #2 has very noticeable delamination of the tread, but no tearing.c.tire #3 has a few detectable indications that tread separation is in very early stages.the tires have not yet been returned to the dealer under their warranty, but will be returned in early fall.there was no accident because the tires were in summer storage when the tread separation was found.if the tires had been mounted on the car when the tread separation occurred there could have been unfortunate consequences.tire dot: cxhb 95k1304 is not part of this complaint.

The contact owns a 2001 bmw z3.the contact stated that all four valve stems had to be replaced on his vehicle because they were cracked and caused air to leak from the tires.the valve stems were tech international, model tr413.the tires were manufactured by toyo.the part number and serial number for the valve stems were unknown.the vin was unavailable.the failure mileage was 29,861.

Being in one dealer 4 times and another one time. Still not fixedwhining noise in back, ticking and clicking noise in rotor/ brake, air conditioner, heat, rough drive, and seat sagging.new dealer verified theproblems, and said allwas the characteristic of the car, but we fixed the rotor/brake noise by resurfacing the rotor.the first dealer already did the resurfacing. But no fix. That wasa what 2d dealer verified in 1st place. I didnot have any more time to waste by going to 3rd dealer. Not fix as of 4/9/07. What else i need to do?car has 36,ooo miles.

I bought my 2009 jeep wrangler around october, november 2009, used with about 16,000 miles from world car nissan with a one hundred thousand mile warranty. The jeep came with an after market lift kit of approx 4 inches with 33 inch toyo open country tires "rancho shocks, sky jacker lift" world car told me the jeep came like this originally from the dealer.world car encouraged me to take the jeep and test drive it for a couple of days. After returning the jeep i told them that i liked the jeep but it had handling issues on the road. While test driving the jeep on normal roads i noticed the jeep would track hard and pull to the left and to the right almost causing me to run off the road on multiple occasions. World car said they would check out the front end alignment and balance the tires.i purchased the jeep. When picking up the jeep they told me they took care of all the problems. Jeep assured me the handling issues were due to the lift and larger tires. About two weeks later leaving work i turned a corner and my right front tire started klunking and wobbling. The right front tire was missing 4 of 5 lug nuts and had one broken stud. Only one lug nut was holding my tire on. The jeep had to be towed.world car gave me a loaner car, repaired the problem, with no apology and no explanation.around july 2009, i drove to port arkansas texas, i drove to the beach. I only drove in the normal traffic lanes no four wheeling.the next week on friday while driving down ih 35 the vehicle suddenly jerked to the left almost causing me to have an accident. On saturday i noticed the right rear shock hanging down.the upper shock support pin was broken off.jeep accused me of four wheeling and abusing the jeep, they repaired it at no cost to me.some times the traction control system comes on pre-maturely while making corners making the jeep hard to handle.now the esp bas light came on and stays on. On jeepforum.com esp bas failure appears to be a common problem.

I have been getting my car regularly maintenanced (and tired rotated and balanced) every six months and i have all the receipts to prove this. Dates as follows: november 14, 2007, march 6, 2008, august 25, 2008,april 9, 2009 and sept 4, 2009. I was informed that my tires were 'cuppling' and that i need all 4 tires now as well as a 4 wheel alignment. There are toyo tires and i have one 34,000 miles on them. I was hearing rattling sound coming from the console, dashboard and passenger side door while i drive. I was told it was wires lose and they fixed it....but in fact they did not. I have also had problems with the power-train (reflashing) and battery died before the car was even 6 months old.they changed the battery and supposely fixed the power train.

Transmission was going out and jolting for about a year and got worse and worse then now only goes in reverse.(tiresize: 14)

The vehicle shakes at highway speeds and causes extreme wear and tear on the tires.i have had this nissan pathfinder (2001) for just over a year and nissan has been unable to fix the problem.they claim it was "built to ride this way".the result is premature breaking problems.they have put new tires on, turned the rotors and spent many hours balancing the tires.this problem has been ongoing since day one.

On 2/26/10, i had 4 new tires installed in my 2005 civic; at 56,000 miles. Even purchased the warranty. About two weeks later, i felt a very mild vibration between 48-52 mph. I didn't make such a big deal of it then. The past 6 weeks or so, about 60,000 miles, the civic's vibrating has gotten worse between 48-52mph. I took it for it's maintenance, had everything done, especially the break rotors and alignment. The vibrating has not stopped. I brought it back to the dealership. According to them, the car was checked, and felt the vibrating. Car was re-aligned, the said it was the rear struts. I had them replaced with a different auto mechanic, then had it re-aligned once more to another auto mechanic. Still vibrates. Brought it back to the mechanic who installed the rear struts. He did a test drive, and balanced the tires. The vibrating is still there. Now it's between 48-60mph at random. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it's mild, sometimes it stronger, depending after my apply the brakes. The vibrating occurs under the seats, floor, rear, some is felt very mildly on the dashboard. Could be since the rest of the car is vibrating. I'm very frustrated.

Mazda 5 premature tire wear on toyo tires. The mazda has 24712 miles, but only ~15000 are on the toyo tires due to running snow tires all winter and there is cupping and inner tire wear. Alignment was checked at mazda and rear was slightly out of spec (-0.03). Mazda denies ever hearing of a tire problem on their mazda 5s, when the topic is all over their web. When i purchased the car the saleman assured me mazda had resolved the premature tire wear that had been seen in the uk where the mazda 5 appeared before the usa.

Driving the car became unmanageable--shimmy, shudder, steer pulling.i determined at least two of the tires had "warped" when looking at the face of the tire.

2008 mazda 5 gtannoying bad tire noise ( toyo tires ).

Factory installed tires by many 2009 highlander owners have reported premature and dangerous tread wear.

Aftermarket tires with 30,000 miles, tire size 235/75r15, 50% of tread . 2 out of 4 tires have began to separate, causing shimmying invehicle.

The contact owns a 2010 mazda mazda5 equipped with toyo tires, size 20/50/r17.the contact stated that a noticeable bubble was discovered on the side wall of the tire. The contact called the manufacturer and the manufacturer suggested sending them the tires for investigation. The contact sent the tires to the manufacturer for further investigation and was awaiting a response.the failure mileage was 18,205.

Took car for service and was told that at 12,500 miles the tires on our 2007 toyota highlander where worn out and needed to be replaced the tires are a toyo tranpath a11 225 70 r 16.

My car is a 2001 maxima it came with toyo tires from the factory. I got a flat and went to have it repaired they wouldnt fix it because the tire and the other tires on the car are dry rotted. The tires had 23,000 miles on them and were quite worn not what you would expect from a premium tire. The last time the car was in for servicing the tech told my wife that they would need to be replaced in the near future.. I called toyo and they sent me to thier dealer in naples florida. The tech there confirmed that the tires were in fact defective. He called toyo with the tread depth and informed them of the dry rotting. They said they would give me a adustment on the tires but would have to see them. Well it has been two months and i still dont have the adjustment check. I'm not happy about that either !

I own a 2006 mazda 5 i have had the tires balanced 4 times and the front end alignment checked, my tires had to be replaced due to excessive cupping on all four tires, i have had the tires balanced at least four times, they had just over 29,000 miles, the tire size is 205/50vr 17 (toyo). I have never had to replace tires this early, and needless to say these tires are expensive, i was just wondering if you have had any other complaints about this specific tire size and manufacturer.

As a precautionary measure, i replaced a toyo tire (with less than 35,000 miles on it) on my 1999 maxima.an exterior bubble began to appear in the sidewall of the passenger-side right front tire.

Hi! i have a mazda5 2006, last week i almost have an accident ,one of my back tires exploded, when my husband came to help me he was surprise to see the tire the outside look brand new but the inside was all broken and wasted ,i went to the dealer and told them that there's something wrong with the tires, which is not safe they should have a recall because it looks i'm not the only one with this problem, the dealer once they have the money they do not want to bother, knowing that they been having that same problemwith other people ,they try to blame it on you, please do something about it i'm a mother of four kids my little one is only two, and they are all the time running with me ,please find out if there aremore complaint of the same problem. I wasted like $600.00 trying to fix it and i still have to change the other 2 because they are all wasted too.

My car, toyota highlander hybrid 2008, tire (245/55 19r) ware out to 2/32 ~ 3/32 at 17500 miles. When it went don to 4/32, garage warn me about tire need to change very soon, i contacted my toyota dealer and toyo tire but no action has been taken. Almost all of highlander owner complain online at car forum. We didn't get any action from both car and tire dealer. Only one owner get free replacement by dealer from upstate new york. Toyo 245/55 r19 tire is not good at handling on snow and ice. When there was snow, i have to drive very carefully and slowly. Even though i drive very carefully, i slip and skid two or three times. Most of the owner of 2008 and 2009 highlander which come with 245/55 r19 size tire complaint about poor handling on snow and ice even on wet surface. There are only two choices for that kind of size tire and both do not have good result of handling on wet or ice. I hope this report can give some help to other owners of the car which come with 245/55 r19.thanks.

2005 chrysler town & country. Consumer writes to express discontent with toyo touring tires *tgwthe consumer stated in jan 2011, he purchased two toyo tires from his local tire dealer. However, one of the tires suffered a severeblow out. The tire was replaced. However, the replacement tire suffered tread separation and blew out. The consumer replaced the tire with another brand. While driving for the third time, the last toyo tire blew out, which caused the consumer to run off the road and into a ditch. The consumer suffered a lower back injury. The consumer stated the two tires he originally purchased and the replacement tire had tread separation and blew out.

Right rear tire unexpectedly blew out with normal street driving at 40 mph. No hazards were struck. Lost control of car. Tread completely separated from belt.

I bought some new toyo m-55 tires less than a month ago. These tires are out of round and bounce and vibrate horribly even though they have been balanced twice. Also they handle terrible to the point where one could lose control or flip a vehicle. The tires feel like radial tires on one end and bias ply on the other. Very dangerous situation. I can not maintain the speed limit because of the serious up and down bounce motion of these tires. If someone would like to take a ride in my truck, i would be more than glad to even let them drive the thing. These things make a the ford explorer thing look like a picnic.

Tires provide extremely poor traction in rain or snow.at the recommended psi, the tires spin when accelerating and skid when stopping on wet pavement at anything other than extremely slow speeds. With any snowcover on pavement, the vehicle is virtually impossible to prevent from sliding or skidding at virtually any speed.the only way i was able to use the vehicle at all during the winter was to reduce the air pressure in the tires dramatically ... And even then i was taking my life in my hands everytime i drove on even lightly snow dusted pavement.i have driven in snow for 30 years and these are the worst tires i ' (tiresize: p215/70r16)

I purchased a new lexus, model es300 on july 17,2002. At 17,000 miles i had problems with the tiresand was told the edges were cupped and many customers had reported the same problem.according to information received from the car dealer and tire dealers in our area, thishas been an ongoing problem with the toyoproxes j33, p215/60 r 1694v series tire.the toyo cooperation will only cover 50% of replacement cost on a tire with 17,000 miles, 6/32 remaining tread.there should be a recall for these tires, they are unsafe tires and an added expense for the consumer. After a little research i have found four other customers who had the same problem with toyo tires, two whom had more miles than what i reported had there tires replaced with no additional charges.it is not right for the consumer to pay for manufacturer defect and workmanship.

Dt*:the contact stated while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle started wobbling.when vehicle was pulled to the side of the road for inspection, the contact discovered the front right tire and both rear tires were flat.the consumer discovered the tires had pressure of 12 psi.a hand pump was used to inflate all three tires.however, after driving the vehicle 30 miles the tires were flat again.the manufacturer was contacted and requested that the tires be sent back to them for further inspection.the tire is a proxes tpt and the tire line is p205/55r16. Updated 02/26/04.

While driving on the highway the inner wall of the tire became completely detached between the bead and the tread causing my vehicle to completely loose control and spin offf the road. (dot number: cxjxtiresize: 24540zr18)

I purchased a toyota camry 2002 se in december of 2001and discovered after driving to and from work during a snow storm 12/5/02 that the car was equipedwithout all season tires. I narrowly avoided several accidents that day, as did others i am sure.however, i discovered while speaking with the tire manufacturer(toyo) that the tires are considered "summer" tires and are not made for snow and/or ice.they stated the type of tire placed on the car is determined by the car manufacturer not toyo.i contacted the dealer as i am extremely concerned about other people purchasing camrys without knowing they need to purchase snow tires or all season tires.they apparently are not as concerned as i as they stated they would not debate on what i was told at the time of the sale and the only thing they could do for me is to order replacement tires at a discount.i then proceeded to call the tire manufacturer back to express my concern and was told they would pay 75% of the cost of the same tire (toyo, j33, p21560r 16 94v), to replace the existing tires.they stated i could replace the tires with any make of my choice. It was their preference that i use a local company that sells toyo tires. I stopped to order replacement tires and found after inspection, the tires are bare down the center and are worn down to the wearbars. So not only am i driving, without knowledge, a car that does not have any type of tread for snow/ice i am driving with minimal tread. I understand the tires arehigh performance tires, however i do not feel they should have worn in the manner they did after 14000 miles.i have several concerns, one being with toyota and the fact that the dealer or dealers are not informing the buyer of the need to purchase all season or snow tires at the time of the sale.how many consumers or innocent victims will be or have been injured in accidents due to this same issue. Secondly, the tire manufacturer for procuding what appears to me defective tires.

Consumer was referred to country coach to contact and determine what action would be taken regarding the (a 1994 magna built on a gillig chasis).consumer was told that his vehicle left the factory with 10r22.5 tires and in order to be safe, it should be equipped with 11r22.5 tires.jan. 02 consumer was told that they had determined there was a rear wheel well clearance problem on the gillig chasis and therefore they would send him a set of 10r22.5 toyo tires.when the tires had come, it became obvious that 10r22.55 toyo tires were underated by 1160 lbs to meet the gvw of my coach.*scc

I have a 2005 toyota corolla and it has toyo brand tires on it. The tires have 7/32" tread depth which is 70% of the new 10/32" tire tread depth. While driving from south austin to san antonio (70 miles) the tread and belts separated from the carcass of the tire with bare metal wires showing where there once was tread. The tire still had air in it but the tread was peeled off and the tread pieces began to strike against the undercarriage of the fender destroying the inner fender liner, damaging the vehicle fender, breaking out the headlamp and fog light from behind and ripping out the hood release cable. The vehicle was traveling at the speed limit and the tires where properly inflated at the time of the defect. I called the manufacturer and they offered to take 25% off of a new set of tires. I took it to the tire dealer that they recommended and the man said the tires were 4 years old and should be replaced, these are the same ageas the car and the car doesn't need to be replaced. I have photos and estimates for the repairs.

I purchased four new toyo tires app. One year ago. This sept. My mechanic informed me that 3 of the 4 tires had serious sidewall defects causing "bubbles" and the danger of sudden deflation and loss of control of the vehicle.toyo tires has not seemed part( dot number: cxdf22m047 tire size: p195/60r14 )

I purchased a 2008 highlander by toyota. After driving 20k miles , i noticed a vibration in my steering. I then noticed my tires belts were separating and the tread on all was worn down to almost zero. I took my car to the dealer where it was purchased and they said there is no mileage warranty. Yet my understanding was 60 months. When i read it again it said 60 months or the amount of tread left. New tires $900. These tires are a hazard to public safety. I have never had a new vehicle need new tires when it is barely one year old. The tires were removed before i had an incident. I have noticed numerous complaints about these tires on various web sites.

In dec 2013 the lease end on my 2011 corolla was coming due so i picked up a 2014 toyota corolla le lease on 12/4/2013. This vehicle had 8 miles on it & was equipped with proxes 4 plus 205/55/r16 tires ( i have the id numbers from each tire if you need them). On 2/26/14 this vehicle had 492 miles on it & i noticed the left rear tire had a large odd shaped cut in it in the middle of the outside tread area. I went to suntoyota in holiday fla took pics of the tire damage & the service rep [xxx]told me they didn't have a replacement tire in they would have to order one. I had purchased road hazard tire coverage at the time i leased the car & "assumed" this odd cut came from road construction in the area so i wasn't concerned. I had to leave this 2014 corolla at dealership for a gas tank issue which was not covered under warranty so i called my insurance company put in a claim for that issue & rented a car. On 2/28/14 i went back to suntoyota to pick up my car & when i looked at the replacement tire i asked if it was 'new' & was told yes it was although it didn't appear to me it was; i am not comfortable with this dealer. [xxx] also said that fidelity warranty service wasn't happy about replacing a tire that only had 492 miles on it so we had words over that. Now on approximately 3/26/14 i noticed this replacement tire has what looks like stress line cracks straight across the width of the tire (took pics) in 2 places & car only has 644 miles on it. Obviously i am concerned about this & my safety as well as the safety of others riding near me should this tire come apart. I have looked to see if there are any issues with this tire but cannot find any recent ones. I will once again report this issue to se toyota but i am really uncomfortable not only with the tire but definitely with this dealer & service department but need to protect my safety in the event something is wrong with these tires. 2014 corolla's also have "design flaws"..information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.

The right front tire contained a bulge.

Toyo tires (p245/55r19) were installed on my 08 highlander at the time of purchase. At first oil change, was advised that they were not wearing properly & had alignment checked. No problems with alignment--called toyota--they advised to rotate every 5k with oil change..did the same and i now have 20k miles with 2 rear tires that rubber is "peeling" so bad that they have to be replaced immediately. Front will have to be replaced within few months as well.toyota is blaming toyo & no reply from toyo....obviously this manufacturer makes poor quality products with just the complaint records that you have on file.anyone driving a vehicle with these tires is obviously taking their life in their hands!!

Nearly brand new tire (less than 3000 miles) sidewall exploded on the highway (50 mph). Toyo, the manufacturer has done nothing to address this issue. I've been blown off, and had my judgement questioned. This is a major public safety issue that should be addressed. Tire model is open country r/t (not listed under options).

Toyo tire on the car blew out while traveling at about 5 mph, vehicle lost conntrol, resulting in an accident.

I purchased a 2005 rav4 2 wheel drive, 5 speed,in december 2005.the exact date, i am not sure of in that the issue is ongoing.i first noticed the oe (toyo tranpath a14 215/70r16 99sm-s) tires by toyo were loosing traction when going around corners, i attributed that to the new auto and was more careful until i got used to it.i was coming home one day and proceeded onto a freeway onramp.the roads were wet but not excessive.i made the turn onto the ramp shifted and the accelerated, i found at that time the tires were loosing traction, so i backed off the accelerator.i am also finding on ribbed freeways that the car will not track.i recently wnet to the dealer and explained what was happening. From here it is an ongoing process of dealer telling me talk to toyota and toyota saying talk to toyo.during my numerous conversations with toyo, i was told that the tires were graded 300 bb. I asked if this was problem, "i don't know"my last conversation with toyo i asked if the tire is bb why does my tire say aa.thye needed to research and not to my amazement they told me that the tire was an aa and they just found out.they further stated the tire used to be bb but in 2001 was upgraded to aa."miscommunication from toyo japan to them.how many people have to be injured etc.

The contact owns toyo spectrum, p/225/60/r16 on a 1999 mercury grand marquis. The contact stated when driving he would hear roaring coming from the tires. Toyo tires do not grip the road when it is wet.they slip and spin out easily on wet roads.in san francisco 2/19/05, on a hill, starting the auto moving from a complete stop, the tires would not grip the road and kept spinning out.the car slip backwards.i had to turn the wheels to finally get them to grip enough to get the car moving forward.anytime, anywhere roads are wet the tires spin out and do not grip well.

My husband and i were driving along el camino real in south san francisco california when we heard a very loud bang and our car swayed to the right and almost hit a bystander. The rear passenger right tire blew out at no apparent reasons. There was a big crack of 3 to 4 inches on the side (inside part) of this tire. We brought our car to melody toyota telling them that it was a defective tire because there was no signs of nails or any other objects that will cause the tire to blow out. Fortunately, we decided not to take the freeway this time or else we will be in a big accident. Melody toyota told us that it was due to outside influence but they are notsure about it because you can see the surface was so smooth and no marks of any objects hitting it. It looked that it came from the inside of the tire. They decided to send the tire to the manufacturer (toyo brand) to investigate. Our worry the tire manufacturer will try to protect themselves and they will rule that it was due to outside influence. Granting it was due to outside influence the tire should deflate slowly and not a sudden loud burst. We are reporting this because we want to save thousands of lives who have this brand of tires. Fortunately, nothing bad happened to us and the bystander. I was requesting the dealer to replace all our tires because we have no peace of mind driving with these tires. By the way, our car is a brand new cartoyota highlander 2012 that we bought only last june of 2012, it was an 8 month-old car. What really upsets me the dealer was selling me a spare tire for $300. Why should we pay $300 when we almost got into accident?so, at this time we're still waiting what will be their findings. I hope they will be honest about it. I took several pictures of the damaged tire for the record.

I purchased 5 toyo proxies 285/60/18 and have had a blow out on the side wall of two within the last year with premature cracking on all of the tires. The first tire that blew out i thought was just an accident. But after purchasing the 5th tire and then having a blow out on 4/2/2008, within 6 mos of them, where the sidewall was affected, i decided to look online and found where the proxies were having issues with other consumers with blowing out the sidewalls.co wanted a four wheel drive business that deals with their product and have them inspected. They were inspected andshowed the tire depth, premature cracking, etc. After having them inspected, business condemned the tires tire manf then decided that they had to have the tires back before they would issue any warranty or prorating on them. Did say that they would issue a prorate of 78% on each tire, but i had to send the tires to them via ups which they would pick up the cost of having the tires shipped up to them. As i explained i had no problem sending the tires as in good conscience, i could not sale these tires to anyone else as being in this field for 13 years and knowing the safety issues regarding tires having these issues, i didnot feel that they were safe for anyone to have on their vehicles. Ups picked up the tires and after a few phone calls i finally received a letter from tire co stating that they were not going to warranty or prorate the tire as they did not see anything wrong with them.i travel the interstate quite a bit and after having two of the sidewalls blow out as they did i was very fortunate that i didn't cause a severe accident and i would consider this to be a safety hazard for interstate travelers at high rates of speed. This is something as a consumer, that i feel should be looked into more closely as it could cause a serious accident.

The dealer stated that the brand of the tires was not compatible with weight of the vehicle. The failure mileage was 208. The consumer stated when going around curves, the vehicle would lean into the corner curve more than normal, which would cause the consumer to forcibly turn the steering wheel to bring the vehicle back into the center of the lane.the consumer believed the sidewalls of the tires were too soft, which allowed the vehicle to roll sideways because of its weight, into the corners and curves of the roadway. I installed winter tires and wheels withoem tpms and was not able to reset the car to recognize these new sensors.i'm told that i have to have the dealer reset the system twice a year when i change wheels and tires or let the system read failure until i swap back the original wheels and tires.the car is a toyota highlander.i think the tpms is a great system but the manufactures need to update the cars software to allow the driver to update the system.the dealer charges 125.00 each time for this service.the law mandating tpms didn't intend to make this a cash cow for the dealership.

In cold weather, 4 to 5 degrees and colder, the tires loose pressure.it appears to be the valves which contain the sensor that indicates if a tire is low in pressure.above 5 degrees the tires maintain the required pressure.i have taken to carrying a hand pump so that i can pump the tire as needed.

Consumerreplacedrear passenger and driver tires because of tears insidewalls.flats occurred on 2 different incidents, 300 miles apart. Tire size is 215/55r16, model pro xes, approximate mileage 7,500, original tires on a 2001, nissan, maxima.

While driving, the left rear tire blewout from the sidewall, causing vehicle to fishtail, an agent was sent to examine the tire and stated that the tire was flat and the rim-wheel had some chips, consumer states that the agent ignored the obvious, the tire was toyo, p225-60r15 95v, no other tire information given.

Regarding recalled tires*cw

On 2 separate occasions during slightly abnormal road conditions side wall of tires gave out and ripped. Toyo proxes a05p205/55 r16.

As a precautionary measure, i replaced a toyo tire (with less than 35,000 miles on it) on my 1999 maxima.an exterior bubble began to appear in the sidewall of the passenger-side right front tire.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving, there was slight vibration in the rear of the vehicle. While the vehicle was pulled into the emergency lane for inspection the right rear tire rolled onto the highway. The sidewall completely disinterested and the tire came off the rim. The psi was at 30 for highway use, but the manufacturer recommended psi of 40. There were no obvious road hazards that could have caused the failure. The tire wasa toyo, 22535zr18. The tire has not been replaced due to the damage the rim sustained.

Tl *the contact had two front toyo tires 275/70 r 22.5.the contact states that therewasa big bulge in front tire and the tread was separating.the contact stated the manufacturer recalledall of the country coach tires, specifically the toyo tires, and was informed that the tires have also been discontinued.

At highway speed tire tread separated completely from sidewall on both sides of right rear tire. Vehicle: 2016 toyota prius two eco.tires - manufacturer: toyo - model: nanoenergy a29 - dot code: n39n size:195/6515 tire - date of manufacture: 1216 (december 2016)

One tire was damaged and replaced in nov 2005 by a tire with dot: cxhb 95k1304).the last time the tires were used was the period november 2008 - march 2009. The right rear passengertire blew out while the vehicle was being driven.right front passenger tire had a slow leak.

The contact owns a 1996 dodge grand caravan equipped with toyo spectrum tires size 215/65/r15 (na). The dot number was unknown. The contact stated that while driving under 5 mph, the steering wheel would wobble from side to side. The contact also stated that the tread was beginning to separate on all four tires and the rear passenger side tire was replaced once already. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but refused to replace the other three tires. The failure mileage of the tires was 12,000. The failure mileage of the vehicle was 163,462. The vin was unavailable.

Factory installed tires by many 2009 highlander owners have reported premature and dangerous tread wear.

There is an overweight problem withmotor home, which caused front tires to become hot from too much weight. Tread came off both tires because of this issue. Tires were toyo, 25570r22.5.tireswere too small forweight ofcoach. Owner has replaced the tire with michelin, 27570r22.5, which made the coach much more stable.safari was contacted about the problem, but nothing was done.

Toyo paid in full and the customer states that toyo was fair and responsible no farther claim.

Toyo, spectrum, p215/65r15, dot unknown, replacement equipment with 7000 miles on a 1986, cadillac, seville. While driving 55 mphright front tire had tread separation, causing $ 2000.00 damage to vehicle. No accident.

Had full-size pick-up truck with 4 open country 410 tires from toyo with approximately 59,000 miles on them.tires were regularly rotated and pressure checked.while traveling on freeway at 70 mph the right rear tire blew out with tread peeling off like a banana peel on highway.tail pipe was bent and rear quarter panel sustained nearly $900 in body damage.filled out claim form with toyo, but of course it was *denied*.they claimed the tire failed to due a service related issue and "not the result of any act or omission on the part of toyo tire".i disagree with this finding and will proceed to tell everyone i know not to buy toyo tires because the company does not take care of its customers when they experience a problem.

At 22,356 miles i had to replace all 4 tires on this vehicle the brand was toyo tires.

The tire line is a22. This option is not available on the drop-down selections. Excessive tire wear on toyo a22 tires. Purchased new nissan quest. At 17,000 miles tires are in need of replacing. After searching the internet for complaints/ratings on this tire i have found similar stories for this tire on the nissan quest.

Right rear tire unexpectedly blew out with normal street driving at 40 mph. No hazards were struck. Lost control of car. Tread completely separated from belt.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet camaro race car equipped with toyo proxes tires, tire size: 245-45-r20 (serial number: mf82512) and tire size: 275-40-r20106y. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the tires failed to grip and caused the contact to become involved in a crash. The tires were not replaced. The approximate failure mileage of the tires was 20 and the vehicle failure mileage was 44,495.

While driving 73 mph in a 2002, toyota, camry left rear toyo tire, size: p215/60r16-94v, dot: cxfi8l42401 experienced tread separation. Tire had approximately 3,100 miles on it, and was original equipment forvehicle. Dealership has not examinedtire to determine the cause of the problem.please provide any additional information / documentation.

1) the event occurred on october 4, 2017.2) 2017 toyota prius with approximately 19,980 miles. 3) the vehicle has been served on schedule at a toyota dealership.4) at the prior inspection no damage or abnormal wear was reported. 5) from the time of the 15,000 mile inspection no damage occurred to the tire.6) at no time did the tire prior to the incident, did the tire inflation warning annunciator illuminate.7) while traveling on a state highway (similar to a interstate) which is in very good and smooth condition, dry at the time, free of debris, straight at the location of the incident,at approximately the post speed limit of 70 mph. With virtually no warning the left front tire failed catastrophically with entire outboard portion of the tread separating from the sidewall structure. The car remained under control and i was able to decelerate while traveling straight ahead and remaining within the confines of my lane, to a speed where i was able to exit the traffic lane and came to stop on the right hand shoulder of the highway. 8) other than total failure of the tire, no additional damage to the vehicle was sustained and no injury to the occupant or other parties occurred.9) i have photographs of the failed tire while still mounted to the wheel, including the tread of the tire and the outer side, which is the location of the failure.

While driving vehiclebelt separated in the middle of the tire. The other tire blew while traveling at high speed.tires were replaced prior to separation.

The contact owns a chrysler town and country equipped with toyo versado tires, size p215/65/r16. The contact was traveling at 70 mph when the rear driver side tire suddenly exploded without warning. The tire was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the tread had separated from the tire. The dealer replaced the tire. The dealer also advised that the front driver side tire was exhibiting the same failure. The current and failure mileages were 15,000.

My toyo tires have failed after only 18,000 miles of use on my toyota highlander.

I don't have the information in front of me re. Tire model, size, etc.the tread completely peeled while travelling at ~ 65 mph, resulting in extensive bumper, fender, and misc. Damage.the tire was roughly 2 years old and had less than 35,000 miles of wear.proper rotation, balancing, and inflation had been maintained.( dot number: )

Toyo brand tires p205/55 r16 size installed on new 2006 mazda 3 were inferior leading up to premature wear of rubber on tire to the point of showing safety bar under worn tread at only 20,000 miles. Tires were properly rotated at prescribed intervals and proper tire inflation was monitored regularly since vehicle was purchased. Dealership and toyo tire state 20,000 miles is normal wear. When i called dealerships selling exact brand of tire they claimed 40,000 miles should be expected. I also notice some brands of toyo tires were recalled on your website. When i mentioned that to toyo service rep. @ 1-800-442-8696 he stated none of their tires have ever been recalled and your website contains bad information.

Toyo all season, proxes, p215/55r16 dot cxvd7a21000, original equipment, $ 8000 damage to vehicle, blowout on right rear tire due to tread separation at 65 mph, one person was injured in accident, consumer lost control striking a barrier wall.

Dear sir,my complaint is about toyo tires. I have a leased lexus es300. The lease started in december of 2002, for 39 months /36,000 miles. We have 18,875 miles on the car. I took the car in for an oil change & the mechanic told me that the tires are bold. I took it to the lexus dealership , scanlon of ft. Myers & they want to charge me for new tires. I have never heard of tires wearing out at 18,000 miles.the toyo tires are cheap tires. The tires came with the car, & i had no idea that they are manufactured so poorly.is it fair that we have to pay for new tires? thank you, leonard mojta.

Toyo tire size p21560r16, name spectrum; when traveling 75 mph, chunks of tread flew off the tire.consumer stated that the tire remained inflated.the damaged area was down to the wire cords.*scc

These two issues may be related?the vehicle displays instability at freeway speeds. The orginal tires were making noise beyond anything considered normal.had to be replaced at 20000k.cost $477

They replaced the manifold and then the radiator malfunctioned, 18.000 miles later the heater core failed, was replaced in the last 6 months since aug 4 times. Ford does not have a clue and the dealer is trying to fix it each time at leaks.the brakes/rotors have been a cronic problem since the car was new. The calipers have been resurfaced 3 times and finally replaced.

The left rear tire experienced a blowout, which caused consumer to lose control of the vehicle, consumer contacted the manufacturer and was instructed to send in the damaged tire, once the manufacturer received the tire, they stated the tire was not at fault, but the rim was due to it leaking, and there was no financial responsibility on their part, and therefore the claim was denied.mr

While the vehicle was pulled into the emergency lane for inspection the right rear tire rolled onto the highway. The sidewall completely disinterested and the tire came off the rim.
