The consumer developed problems with the firestone steeltex radial tires on his 2001 ford f250.***no answer required***.*mron two seperate occasions the front and rear left tire had come apart while the vehicle was in motion.*sc

Driving north bound on i-95 at 60mph heavy vibration for 15 to 20 sec then tire exploded. Replaced with spare. Defective tire is available. This is the second tire from a set of four i have had trouble with. The other tire had the belts slip causingvibration and loud noise. Another tire from that group is chunking in the center.

While driving on the highway at 70 mph rear driver side tire blew out and the front driver side tire tread separated.when the second failure occurred driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with another vehicle. Three weeks prior to the accident vehicle was taken into the dealership for a routine warranty service, anddealership never informed the consumer of the tire recall 04t003000.

Steeltex radial bridgestone/firestone tires has a recall but the consumer had not received a recall notice. The consumer was informed that the recall had expired. *sc

The contact owns a 2001 chevrolet silverado.the vehicle has steeltex radio a/t tires, size t245-75r16 e120l (na).the tires were purchased in 2005 and, at 30,000 miles, the contact began to feel a strong vibration from the front tires.the tires were inspected and he realized that there was strong tread separation in both front tires.the contact discovered nhtsa campaign id number 03t002000 (tires:tread/belt); however, the manufacturer stated that his tire size was not affected.the contact believes that the tires should be included in the recall if the failures are identical.the current and failure mileages were 130,000.

3 of 4 tires bad on 2000 excursion within 5 months of each other from june 6ththrough october 4th. First tire developed sidewall tread bubble on left rear tire, traveling on highway at 65 mph, second tire developed sidewall tread bulbble on left front tire while traveling 65 mph. Third tire blew out while traveling 60 mph on highway while pulling trailer, damaging right rear quarter panel

At 5 mph noticed that the back end of 2002 excursion was woobling. Found the tire had ballooned on the inside sidewall and tread.ford replaced with same model tire.

After making contact with the tire manufacturer, sending in the receipts, along with there forms, the consumer has not been reimbursed.all tires but one were replaced. .

The sidewalls of the four tires peeled from the cords/belts.the consumer was told that the sidewall rubber appeared to be too thin.scc

While driving at 65 mph rear driver's side tire blew out with warning. Consumer examined the tire, and discovered that the tire blew out at the sidewall.

While traveling on turnpike at 75 mph left front tire tread separated on my steeltex a/t lt265/75r16 load range e tires causing my vehicle to immediately shift to the left across 2 lanes and almost hitting center median wall, caused $2900.00 damage to my vehicle.*la

Dt: the consumer purchased a used vehicle in july, a 1999 ford f250.while moving back to washington from new mexico, the left rear tire tread peeled off,resultingin an accident while driving.this happened without warning.there was some wear on the tires. There are 64,000 miles on the truck, and owner does not know a lot about the mileage of the tires.the consumer consulted the nhtsa website and discoveredrecall campaign. 04t003000 on the same tires.bridgestone/firestone, model steeltex ,at lt265/75/r16.the consumer went to two different bridgestone/firestone delaers, and they would not help because the tires were not a part of the recall-these were for excursion vehicles only they noted.the consumer had to replace tires at his own expense.

Driving on i-10 west about 65 mph when the rubber pealed off the right rear tire causing $3400.00 damage to f-350 ford quarter panel,bed,tail light,end gate and bumper.

The tread separated from the right rear tire on my 2001 ford 350 truck.as it left, it did considerable damage to the right side of the vehicle.i replaced the tire, sent the damaged one to firestone, who have denied responsibility, and are sending it back-(c.o.d.)the tires were original, with plenty of legal tread left.

I was driving my 2001 ford excersion, with my wife and two daughters, on the freeway at approximately 65 mph.the left rear firestone steeltex at tire blew out as a result of the tire tred seperating from the rest of the tire.the vehicle had 49530 miles at the time of the incident.the left rear quarter panel and fender were damaged as a result of the blow out.on 06-20-05, firestone replaced four out of the five tires i had on the vehicle as part of a recall.the spare tire is on oder, because they did not have it in stock.

Consumer had to replace all four tires because they would not retainair.at a later date a recall letter was received. Consumer sent the receipts requested and had been denied reimbursement.

Dt: 1 month agotook hcar on a tripand the back left tire tread separated. Got it fixed. Yesterday the right back tire separated.the tires only had 28,000 miles on them.

Dt: rear passenger sidetire had a tread separation on september 24, 2005. There was no road construction.also, there was no accident. The consumer has not had the tire inspected as of yet.the tire was an original part.the tire sizeis lt245/75r16, and dot # 28671ur bm05327-1.the tire was made in canada.
