The values on three of my tires were defective.i had two of the tires repaired (driver's front and rear) and replaced the one of the tires (passengers rear). The repairs and replacement occurred over a two-week period.

While driving on a highway at approx. 65 mph, the tread separated from the tire which resulted in uncontrollable driving. No accident occurred because there was no other traffic at that time of day. Damage to the vehicle included the driver's side of the rear bumper was torn off, the steel frame to which the bumper mounts has been twisted and bent, broken driver's side tail light, dents and paint scratches are found from the rear of the car to the mirror on the driver's side. Nothing has been done to correct it. I was never notified of a recall.

The contact owns a 1995 buick century with sigma shadow tires, size 195/75/r14. The contact stated he had experienced tread separation seven times with the tires. Each time he expereinced the failure, the contact would take the vehicle to a tire specialist and the tire would be replaced at the contact's expense. The contact was unable to contact the manufacturer. The tire failure mileage was 15,000.the vehicle failure mileage was 90,000 and the current mileage was 142,000.
