My car has been brought in several times for failure to start. This problem occurred initally after the car stalled and failed to start in an intersection on 11/12/96. At this time the map sensor was replaced. Since then several trips to the dealer have not diagnosed the continuing start-up failures due to the fact that they occur sporadically. The car does eventually start. I have contacted road side assistance several times due to this, and now just "live with it."my automatic transmission has not been able to release from park without depressing the inner override switch. I have not brought this in due to previous disapointments and loath of leaving my car and arranging transportation, again. My drivers door has been adjusted and readusted, however the gasket was not replaced when it began to sag as they felt that i should pay for this on 9/16/96 with 7675 miles. Neither side window cranks up or down, rather must be pulled or pushed. One window was adjusted just after my purchase, the drivers side was fixed when the driver's door was replaced following an accident, and that window now does not work! i replaced 4 tires within 20,000 miles due to unusual problems such as a "broken bead" the tire replacements were in addition to when i replaced all of the original tires at @ 35000 miles. The tires that i replaced were high quality 70,000 mile warenteed tires from sears. I have 5 payments left to conplete my sales agreement, and i am unsure if my car will make it!!! i am very unhappy with my experiences with this vehicle. ( dot number: tire size: p17570s13 )

While driving approximately 70mphsears tires blewout. Vehicle did not hit or run over anything. Also,tires were not punctured by any debris in the road. Took vehicle back to sears andwasrefunded for the tires.
I have a 2001 honda civic whose front tires were replaced about 3 years ago at sears.about 3 months ago,i blew out my right front tire on a highway and when i took it to the garage,i was told that the valve stem had blown out and i could see that the valve stem was cracked.i went to sears and complained but they claimed that if the valve stem was faulty i should not be able to drive but this happened on a highway and they did not believe me.i got a replacement tire from them to match the front left which was a sears tire.about 2 weeks after my front right tire blew out, i went drive my car and i noticed that my front left tire was flat and suspecting the valve stem i checked for it.i noticed that the valve stem was cracked.i took my car to a local garage to get the valve stem changed.my rear tires are older than my front tire and the valve stem is fine.my gut feeling is that the sears valve stem are defective because they both cracked, the front right on a highway and the front left in my driveway.
In less that 2 months, all four tires on my van failed.the first failed when the tire tred came loose from the tire casing causing the tire to be unbalanced.the second occurred a few days later when we were travelling down the freeway at 60 miles per hour.the tire tred separated totally from the tire and the tire lost all air pressure.i was able to stop safely.the third tire had tire tred that appeared to be uneven.when i deflated the tire, it appeared like the first with soft spots around the diameter of the tire.the fourth tire had a circular crack around the sidewall and looked like it would have eventually blown out.in july, i travelled in nevada and idaho where the temperature approached 100 degrees.this might have had an effect on the first 3 tires.( dot number: 6f66 tire size: 30 x 9.5 x )

Front r/h tire, less than 2 wks old, blew suddenly at 40 mph for no apparent reason. No road debris presant, or pot holes etc.tire had no face punchers, seam looks separated.blow out cause car to hit a cement wall, major damage, but wife ok, thank god.need some advice here, need to collect car damages . Tireshave developed cracks around the sidewall which could result in a blow out. Tire not included in recall 98t002000. Tire size p20570r14.

After market purchased tires from sears (stock # 09585287), vehicle was driven approximately 100 miles when the tire tread separated causing vibration while driving. *mjs
While travelling from eloy, az. To calif. On an outing, the left rear tire tread seperated from the carcass. The tire did not lose any air . I changed it, putting on the spare (also the same brand and size). On the return trip, about 3 days later, the right rear tire did exactly the same thing. Iborrowed a spare from a friend and continued home. I contacted sears, but they told me they wouldn't do anything without the original sales reciept, which i couldn't find. I bought4 new tires and put the remaining2 on a small utility trailer. I put the spare backwhere it belonged, and about 4 months later i noticed that the entire tread was peeling away from the carcass. The tire wasn't even being used and it seperated. I don't know who made these tire for sears. In light of the current problems with firestone tires, i am curious if there has been other problems with this particular tire. In 1977, while i was a police officer, ihad a tire totally seperate and blow out, causing loss of control and totalling the car. These tires were shell steel radials made by firestone. Two weeks after the accident, the leaa in washington sent out a memo warning all agencies to restrict speeds of vehicles with these tires to less than 70mph. Aftermarket tire p235/75r15 size. Tread has started to separate ontires.3 of the trail handler tires have been replaced.
Whle driving at 50 mph, tread peeled away from the right rear inside dual tire, tire was a road handler lt, 8.75r16.5. Owner replaced both tires, other tire used as a spare.while the tire was mounted to the front of the motorhome, the tread started to separate.*cj
