Tire info primewell valera touring 215/65/r16 98h made in china. Dot #5wa6 00a 4813in march 2016 i got a new/used certified car from a dealer in orlando fl the car came with new tires. Not sure where the tires were sold/installed, but after i drove about 11 000 miles, one of the rear tire starts to lose pressure about 1 psi/day. On 8/14/2016 i took the car to local tire plus store in gainesville fl for inspection address: 2605 sw 34th st, gainesville, fl 32608, phone: (352) 231-8422-the technician checked the tire and said it is fine and some air loss is normal-even i told him that only one tire does that and i have to pump air every week to prevent running flat. One month later 10/16/2017 on the highway going 70mph i suddenly i felt an explosion/strong vibration and lost control. The road was clear i did not hit any debris that can affect the tires. I was lucky there was no other cars around me, so i could pull on the shoulder safely. The police officer(collins)car that stopped to see if i am ok ,saw the tire and told me it was defective and i was lucky to be alive since the defective tire was on the back not on the front and traffic was light. I discovered the same rear tire i had problems with before exploded, lost part of the tread due to the break of internal steel belt . I changed the tire with the reserve and i took the car again to tire plus storefor replacement. The technician recognized the tire is defective but refused to replaced because it was not on the last recall from primaewell .(17t-013) so i had to pay over $190 for a new pair tire since the car is awd and cannot have different tire and store do not sell anymore this brand(wander why?) probably more of this primewell valera touring tires are defective not only those listed on the recall, chinese manufacturing is famous for killing consumers with american business complicity-this is another such case.. I am concerned that other 2 similar tires still on my car today and i fear they will explode

Primewell valera touring ii 215/55r 17 tires.the tires after 5000 miles have developed a roaring sound and the sidewalls are cracked. The roaring has become so loud i had the wheel bearings replaced because of the noise. The noise is in fact coming from the tires.the tires were bought by the dealer we purchased the car from. In fact, it was part of the deal thatthe car had new tires put on. Because of this fact, the tires are not under warranty. I took the car to my local firestone dealer, they have primewell tires made exclusively for them. The dealer was nice enough and told me about the recall for the tires, but my specific size was not listed under the recall. The next size up and down were listed, but not our specific size. He did offer a discount on a new set of tires though. He honestly tried to help us out.before i spent an additional $500 plus dollars i called firestone corporate. After stating my case, he said there was absolutely nothing he could do. I asked him if he would let his wife drive a car with cracked sidewall tires, he commented if it was his car, he would get them replaced, but he offered absolutely no help to do so and was unapologetic to say the least.i expect more from firestone / bridgestone. You would think after all the bad press from the ford explorer tire incident they would back there products up better, or at least offer a product that lasts longer than 5000 miles. Please be aware before buying there products, i know i never will again!

I purchased the tires from firestone complete auto care, 10925 fm 1960 rd w houston, tx 77070she immediately begin driving from houston to return to college station, tx where she resides.she had only traveled approximately 50 miles on the new tires when she experienced a rear right blow out which sent her crashing into the highway concrete barrier.she is a bit shaken up with stiffness and pain and her car is damaged in several areas.i am asking my insurance to investigate the full details of the crash. I am also speaking with firestone and hope to reach the manufacturer of the tires as well.a dps officer was onsite to make a report of the accident and the particulars. What assistance in info can you provide me at this time on any other failures or info concerning these tires or the manufacturer? please advise and thanks for all your help.

I have primewell valera touring ii tires that have a date code of 0215 and they still have around 50% tread left. The side walls on all 4 tires are coming apart, they are split almost all the way around. These tires are on my daughters car and i did not notice this problem because the splits where on the outside of the tire but facing the inside, i found them when i went to install the snow tires. I called primewell and they said there is no recall for the serial number on these tires and they would not help me at all. There is a recall on this brand and model of tire for the same defect and reading many complaints about this same problem the recall needs to be updated to cover more serial numbers.

Tire is cracking along the inside wall - similar to others in the series

Catastrophic blowout failure of primewell valera touring tire purchased from firestone in jackson, ms, on 06/14/2016. Blowout occurred on 07/03/2017 while wife was driving on i-55. We have put less than 12k miles on these tires and, now, do not feel safe. Possible damage to car (volvo xc90). Wife stranded over july 4th holiday in louisiana because firestone is closed. After initially telling us that the tires would be replaced free because there was a recall, firestone now says we will have to pay for new tires because our tires are not being recalled. Extremely frustrating.

We bought 4 of these tires 1/23/2018. The first failed within 3 months (passenger rear). The tire distributor no longer carried them, so we fit the next best ... A different primewell. Now, the driver side front tire has developed a bulge where the tread and sidewall meet - similar to the first failure. We cannot drive it and - still - the distributor no longer carries that tire. We have - as of 9/1/2021 driven the car a total of less than 14,000 miles since the purchase. The 50k warranty was ignored in the first failure; and we have been told that it is irrelevant in this second one. The size is 205/50r17 for both - all four.both tires were continuously losing air and had to start carrying a portable air pump. Just noticed this weekend that the driver side tire was once again low on air. When i went to fill it, noticed the bulge. Do not know hoe long ot has been there ... Just noticed it this weekend.
