I bought a 2005 scion xa on november 15, 2004. On december 20, 2004 the driver side front tire blew out, after hitting a bump in the road. The tire had 3,966 miles on it. The side wall blew . As we my children and i processed to change the tire. The jack slide sideways, causing the car to fall. It hurt my 15 year old sons hand, if i hadnt shoved my tire under the body of the car and screamed at him, the car would have landed on him and his leg. We rejacked the car back up and the jack started sliding again. We were in a level gas stationpaved parking lot. The third time we jacked the car up the jack started slipping again. I believe these jacks are dangerous!! the side wall of the tire is also too thin. I had to replace the tire. I will buy a new jack to put in my car. I would like someone to check into this matter.also the manufacure stated the car would get 32 mph city, 38 highway. We are getting 28 city and 31 on highway. This is my first new car, i am not impressed! i am very disappointed in toyota, we have had toyota's in the past and i got better milage out of them.

I just purchased a new c70 volvo and i am having some problems already.(1) there was a little snow on the ground from a snow drift and the vehicle would not stop when i pressed the brake pedal.the car was sliding all over the place as if i was on oil and as though the tires were not touching the ground.subsequently, i called the corporate offce 800.452.1552 and they said that it's because i have 17 in low profile tires on the car which tends to get on top of the snow and now suggests that i purchase 15 in snow tires. Is this going to be a problem in the rain as well?i already spent $45,000!(2) because of the design of the convertible top, i can't see out of the back right side.the company told me to readjust my mirrors and said that the view is limited in all convertibles.i almost hit something backing out of a space because i couldn't see (entire area covered w/the blacktop material). Why can't they insert a small plastic-like widow there? (3) the back of my driver's seat keeps locking up when i pull it foward towards steering wheel.by doing so, i can't get into the car.it doesn't matter if the engine is running or not.it happened 2 times already and once i was in the middle of the street blocking traffic.(i got out of the car and moved the seat back to put something in the back and that's when it got stock).sometimes, the seat motor works and other times it does not.when i bought the car, they kept it an additional two days because there was a problem w/the front seat control module affecting the drivers side seat. They assured me that i was not getting a defective vehicle. A service peson told me that it's a regular problem and that drivers just don't know how to move the seats properly.corporate told me that there is no recall and that the local laws would determine if volvo could buy my car back. Do i have to wait for an accident before nhtsa investigates?

On january 29, 2007 i took my 2006 volvo xc90 2wd to the volvo dealer for the 15,000 mile scheduled service to include the scheduled tire rotation and balance. The car had 14,764 miles. The service advisor called later in the day to state that (1) i needed front brake pads, and (2) needed four new tires because the original equipment tires were completely worn out.when i asked why those items were needed, he told me (1) the front brake pads wear early because they aren't large enough to support the weight of the car, and (2) the original 17" pirellii scorpion zero tires are a performance tire and "too soft" for the vehicle and thus wear out prematurely. He estimated i had about 1 or 2 mm of tread left, and advised me not to drive in the rain.i spoke to the volvo dealer service manager the same day who said he would look into getting me 4 new tires free from pirelli as a one-time "goodwill" gesture. On january 30, 2007, the volvo service manager called to say that because my car was under 15,000 miles pirelli had agreed to replace all 4 tires free. The 17" tires needed to be ordered and would arrive in 4-6 weeks.the service manager assured me that my car was safe to drive until the new tires were installed. On march 18, 2007 i noticed that the tread had completely worn away on both back tires, and belt is showing through.on march 19, 2007 i called the volvo dealer to find out what was the status of my new pirelli tires and was told that there were no 17" pirelli tires in stock, and they had to be special ordered. I told the service scheduler that the car is undrivable because the tires are completely bald.i am still waiting for the volvo dealer to call me back.

Excessive out-of-balance vibration with 20"pirelli scorpion atr tires on 2007 f-150 fx4 4x4. Have had tires wheels balanced- does no good. Bought new tires and rims, still have same problem. Ford service has added pinion angle shim kit- does not fix. Service has replaced 1 original pirelli tire, and stated tire was out of round. They still believe tires problem, and supposed to meet w/ pirelli rep to have tires replaced, but have waited 2 1/2 weeks so far. The new toyo tires and rims were put back on, and still vibration. Not as bad, but still vibrates at all speeds. There must be problem w/ front end or brakes, but ford service has not found yet.

I bought new pirelly mt66 tires 5 months ago.these tires were installed on a daily rider (motorcycle riden daily).last week, i discovered that the tire had developed a lump (with stress marks) at the edge of the bead.i have since removed the tire, and have had to order a replacement tire.no warranty applicable to my situation.

2014lincoln mkz.consumer writes in regards to vehicle tire issues and reimbursement for tire replacements.the consumer stated the vehicle did not pass inspection, because abubble had formed on the right front tire in the sidewall. The tire was replaced at a cost of $ 250.on march 16, 2015, the right rear tire was replaced due to a bubble found in the sidewall. On may 13, 2015 during a service visit at the dealer, the consumer was informed the front tires had sidewall bubbles and needed to be replaced. The consumer stated five tires over the last four months had sidewall bubbles. Updated 02/01/16.

Excessive out-of-balance vibration with 20"pirelli scorpion atr tires on 2007 f-150.the internet is full of similar complaints.my service ford dealership says there is a tsb that explains that this condition for the "first 20 miles from rest" is normal.that's hardly acceptable.my mileage is just under 12,000 and my tire warranty is soon expired.they have rebalanced the tires 4-5 times during this period.

Left rear pirelli tire on my 3 months old saab 9-3 blew up on freeway.the car only has 5,500 miles on it.i lost control of steering wheel and brake.car was out of control, it veered left, then right, then circled around.i was so scared that it will hit a divider or other cars but a miracle happened, i did not hit anything.eventually the car stopped.i am very upset with saab and pirelli, so far customer services have been very poor.i'm waiting for pirelli to do their investigation.i am so worry about pirelli tires blowing up on me again.next time i may not be so lucky.please have other saab or pirelli consumer with complaints contact me at my email address.thank you.

2010 chevrolet camaro. Consumer states problems with tires *tgwthe consumer stated while driving, he felt the vehicle start to run different and there was a smell of rubber. Earlier during the drive, he received an alert that the driver side front tire pressure was low, so he stopped and added air.there was no indication that the rear driver side tire was low on pressure. The consumer pulled over and discovered the rear driver side tire was completely flat and destroyed beyond repair.the consumer then called onstar and was given the tire size of his tires, only to discover the tires on the vehicle were smaller than the tires on the front. The consumer is requesting reimbursement due to an error that was made at the factory and the money that was spent to replace the tire.

I brought my 2004 audi a4 to jack daniels motors in march of 2007 to get new tires.they of course suggested pirelli tires and really didn't offer me any other choices. So i spent $826.21 for new pirelli in march, 2007.well now it's november of 2007 and i brought my audi back to them and they told me that the tires had to be changed because they lost the threads and were gong bald.when i told them i just put the tires on eight (8) months ago and weren't they warranted, they told me they weren't.why would audi put on tires that didn't come with a warranty????i called pirelli customer service and they told me the same thing..i have had my tires replaced because they were not safe to drive on especially with the winter months upon me.i did not get tires from them, i bought tires that had a warranty from an tire dealer and they weren't pirelli.i would never again buy pirelli tires and feel i should get my money back for the garbage they put on the car at such a ridiculously high price.

The car suffers from vibrations when the original equipment tires are replaced. The replacement process requires many rebalancing and/or tire replacements and still results in more vibration than exists with the factory tires. The vibration is most pronounced at speeds around 70-80 miles per hour.

Problems with tires on 1998 nissan maxima.*mr

2001 passatall new pirelli tires 12/03. Rear tires cupping on the inside after 20,000 miles.veh was loud in the rear, less traction, handling funny.fighting with tire place right now.

Blown tire.this vehicle has a history of blown tires with the oem pirelli p-zero's as evidenced by this poll which shows that roughly 50% of owners with 18" rims had at least one blown tire - which for me, at highway speed was very dangerous.http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=38570

This complaint is to make the nhtsa aware of a safety hazard that exists with certain 2011 chevrolet camaros.i own a 1lt equipped with the rs package.this package includes 20" rims.unfortunately, shortly after taking possession of the vehicle, i learned that gm equips rs camaros with pirelli p-zero tires.these tires are rated as "summer only" tires and will pose an extreme safety hazard to those attempting to operate the vehicle in snow, or temperatures below 45 degrees f--essentially making the vehicle undrivable in winter weather.gm, nor the dealership, warned the driver that these tires can only be used in the summer.unaware drivers may become stuck or lose control and crash, due to the tire's loss of traction and hardening of rubber in cold/winter conditions.

Since buying my car, i had issues with the flat tire monitor indicator light coming on.i continually checked the pressure of all 4 tires and ventually, this past september, after only 1,845 miles, had to have atire repaired (cost $15). The diagnosis was simply a leaking bead. At 2,651 miles, another tire suffered irreparable damage caused.also, from a leaking bead.a replacement tire will need to be ordered ($217+),and since there's no spare with my mini, i need to make othertransportation arrangements.i am extremely disappointed that leakingbeads, a very rare problem with any other car but this one, continue to be problematic with my mini being so young.i have checked the mini owner's manual and the distance and speed drivenwith the run flat pirelli tires were well below both the speed anddistance limits indicated.i feel strongly that both mini and pirelli are seriously deficient in thiscircumstance.the actual mounting of these tires was obviously not done very well, nordoes the advertised capabilities of the run flat pirelli eufori tire seemto be reasonable.

All 4 pirelli scorpion st tires, size lt235-75-15 that were purchased 9/02 have dry rot.dry rot was first noticed 4/04 (19 months after purchase).the tire seller viewed the tires 11/13/04 and is notifying pirelli and will advise me of my options.the tires have 11/32 tread remaining and have been on for 10,000 miles.the dot marking on 2 of the tires are: xl m3 8789 0402 and xl m38789 3901.the dot markings on the other 2 tires are apparently on the inside.

The side walls were very weak, the slightest touch/brush caused them to go flat. Tires were replaced. The replacement tire had a bubble. Model type 4 seasons.

While driving 60 mph front driver side tire blew out. No impact reported. Then, six months later the same tire blew out again.

Purchased (4) pirelli str-a' s from the tire rack. They were installed by merchants tire. The first location didn't charge me because the couldn't get the tires to balance. The second location found one tire wavy and each tire took from 4.5 to 8 oz of weight. I still had a vibration in the seat of the vehicle. The tire rack would not replace more than one tire at a time. Replaceing one tire took care of the vibration. I returned for the first rotation and balance, merchants said that they would not put the rear tires on the front because each tire has 8 oz's of weight. I told them to do it anyway because i had to follow pirelli's requirements of rotation. Are these tires heading for self destruction with this much weight??? i have e-mailed pirelli, but no one replied.

While traveling at 65mph noticed vibration. Pulled vehicle over and saw tread sepration, tires were only a few weeks old. Please provide further information.

I have a 1999 mazda 626 with pirelli tires p8000 drago p205/50r15. The dot is ch un c149 4100. The incident occurred approximated 5:15 when i was driving down a major highway and the tread of the tire was completely ripped off causing extensive damage to my car. The tire is still full of air and i had contacted the seller of the tire where i was notified that it was a manufacturing defect and i am currently in the process of filing a claim with pirelli tires. The tire is less 2 years old and i have receipts showing the purchase date.

I purchased 4 brand new pirelli desert dog tires from sam's about 9/17/98.one of the tires was acting odd with a bumping sound caused by an egg in the tire or the tread being partially separated.the defective pirelli desert dog tire was exchanged at sam's about 9/18 or 19/98 by sam's without questions and it was believed to be defective.the pirelli desert dog tire on my passenger rear side of my gmc pickup that had the tread separate from the tire on hwy 90 at 70 mph made noise just like the other defective tire just before it separated.the tire tread separated from about half of the tire and the tire remained inflated.when the tread separated it beat up and damaged my passenger rear fender, under side of my bed, my bumper and my exhaust tail pipe.when the tire separated it caused my truck to swerve right and left violently and almost caused my pickup to flip over.my wife and i were seriously shaken, stopped the vehicle, checked what had happened and thanked god we were not injured or killed.the tire was replaced with the spare and we continued to new orleans, la.the truck had nothing in the bed but we were towing a trailer with nothing in or on it.i believe that the trailer helped in preventing the overturning of my pickup by keeping the rear end of my pickup from swerving more violently than it did.i reported the incident to sam's and they indicated it was a manufacturer's defect, i contacted pirelli, sent the tire with estimated damages but pirelli reported that the tire was not defective.after viewing the film on the tires being investigated by congress, i felt it necessary to report the situation that i have had with these pirelli desert dog tires.my vehicle reacted exactly like those on the video seen on tv when the tread separated.neither sam's or pirelli are willing to repair my vehicle or replace my tire so i have had to go to my own insurance carrier to get my vehicle repaired.please help in reporting this safety hazard.

Consumer states problem with tires on ford explorer *tgwthe consumer stated within the past month, three of the original tires had to be replaced. Each tire failed due to the belt coming through the outside of the tire. The outside of the tires had split in some places.(pirelli p255/50-104 tms scorpion)

The contact owns a 2006 volvo xc90.while driving, the contact heard a loud noise and the steering became difficult.the dealer stated that the tie rods were under recall and replaced them.after returning home, the contact examined the paperwork which stated that the tires were completely bald.she called the dealer and they picked up her vehicle.the dealer is currently replacing all four pirelli 17 inch tires, however, she must pay 50% of the cost.the engine size and dot number were unknown.the current and failure mileages were 23,000.

The contact owns a 2007 ford expedition.the vehicle has pirelli scorpion, size 255/70r18 tires (na).while driving 30 mph, the driver side front tire blew out at 6,000 miles.the dealer stated that there was an impact fracture and nothing could be done.while pulling out of the driveway at 5 mph, the rear driver side tire blew out at 11,000 miles.the dealer stated that the failure was once again due to an impact fracture.currently, the front passenger side tire makes a loud noise and vibrates.the failure was diagnosed as an impact fracture for the third time.the contact had to replace each of the tires at her own expense.the first two tires are available for review.the dot number was unknown.the current mileage was 15,000 and failure mileage was 6,000.

While driving 60 mph, the rear driver side tire (sentry tru-trac apt, size lt235/75r15, dot-chhk) suddenly had 28" of tread separated from steel belts. Tire did not go flat. The separated tire tread damaged pick- up truck qtr panel, and bent the wheel well splash panels' metal support arm into the rear gas tank filler tube, denting it but did not puncture it.all four tires are the same.i plan to have all four replaced even though all still have 9.5/32 to 10/32 tread left on tires which originally had tread depth of 11.

Purchased my 2005 scion tc on june 3rd, 2005 and noticed on june 4th when driving the car for the first time on cement highways with rainchannel grooves cut into them that the tires were a serious safety hazard!the tires are pirelli p-zero nero m/s tires, and have a five ribbed design to them that happens to be the same pattern that the rainchannels are! the tire grooves grab the rainchannels in the road and pull the car all over the road! some places i have referenced refer to this problem as tramlining. This is the most serious i have ever felt this type of problem, and reported it immediately to the dealership on the following monday june 6th. They at first claimed that there was nothing they could do about it, since i had purchased the car and had test driven it before the purchase. But, i had not driven it on those types of roads!after my continual complaints to others at the dealership, etc., the dealership then contacted the regional manager for scion and then the general manager for the store was willing to go ahead and switch them for a different set of tires that did not have the same tread pattern. They will be completing the switch on july 21st for me...finally!people should be aware that these pirelli tires were not designed for the rainchanneled roads in the us! they could cause a serious accident to happen!
