I purchased a 2010 ford mustang (vin: [xxx] ) in april of 2009.this vehicle was equipped with pirelli pzero nero tires that were manufactured in november of 2008.in april 2010, i noticed cracks in the rubber in between the tread ribs on all 4 tires.these tires had ~17k miles on them and were 1years old.i can provide pictures upon request.i am reporting this problem since i believe that it could potentially be a safety hazard and it occurred during normal tire ownership.since all 4 tires exhibited this problem, i do not believe that this is an isolated case and there could be other owners that are unknowingly at risk. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

Within the first month of leasing this new car (< 250 miles), both low profile oem front tires (235/40r-19 pirelli p zero all season vol volvo, ks, pncs xl, part number 3158400) were damaged by potholes. I was told by one local tire shop that low profile tires are more susceptible to this type of damage. I have not damaged tires on potholes like this before. Volvo does not warrant these (unless you purchase their expensive road hazard package), and pirelli's warranty does not cover this type of damage. The new tires cost $536.34, and there's an additional $25 per tire for mounting and balancing.

These are replacement pirelli tires for my daughter's 2006 scion tc.235/40r18 h pirelli p zero nero a/s 91h tires installed new about 1 year ago.1 tire on left rear developed large bulge/bubble on sidewall - identified during service at servicing toyota dealership.contacted pirelli usa - was advised to have tire replaced and return incident tire to pirelli for evaluation and any possible credit towards purchase of replacement.to date, and after several contacts with big o tires who performed the replacement - no answer.please note there was no evidence of split or damage to inside casing opposite the bulge - this tire was not damaged against a curb.could have led to a blow out.

I was driving my 2007 ford mustang (v6) on the highway (rt 202-pa) when the "low tire pressure" indicator light came on.i pulled off at the first available exit (chesterbrook blvd) and when i turned onto the over pass my rear passenger tire exploded leaving the rim completely exposed.had the car towed (police came because car was in dangerous spot) and changed the tire.approx 6 hours later i checked the pressure in all of the tires (was within limits) and set off home on pa turnpike.2 miles on the turnpike my drivers front wheel went completely flat.had to have the car towed to my home.all the tires stem valves on my factory installed pirelli p zero nero tires were rotten (all except my rear driver wheel which was replaced due to a separate flat approx 6 moths prior).per consumer reports website, the tire stem valves were recalled.(08tr414030).i have the 3 valves in my possession.i was never notified about the recall.i remember the news of the rollover deaths in 2008.the ford service shop i took the car to (tom masano ford, reading, pa) denied knowledge of the defect or recall.blamed it on an impact or "driving the car through something deep".i wound up getting all of my tires replace at pep boys.(i have the tire dot and vin but do not have access to them at the moment.i can provide if contacted.)

The contact owns a 2014 lincoln mkz equipped with pirelli tires, tire size: 245/40r19,tire line: pzero nero all season, and dot number un93l6384813. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, he discovered that three of the tires exhibited blisters around the side walls. The tires were replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 4,491 and the vehicle failure mileage was 4,510.
