Pep-boys futura s/e tires:while traveling on the highway 50-55 mph,vehicle ran over a muffler and punctured the tires. Tire warranty up to 80,000 mile with road hazard warranty which pep-boys refused to honor.
I have had at least 5 of these tires where the complete tread completely seperated from the tire.have photos, actual tire leftovers, and receipts for proof of purchase and mechanics pro-rate adjustments.out of all 6 tires originally purchased and the numerous pro-rated adjustments, only one remains in use and has reached a use of aprox. 50k miles.i realize now that i should have written about these problems as i encountered them, but it is not every day that one has loads of time to trouble shoot, find associations, and report findings.additionally i did not realize until recent news reports that these can be life threatening issues.( dot number: tire size: *235/85r16 )
No original tires on oldsmobile, cutlass, 1993, p205/70r15, dot vomonma386.while traveling at 60 mph consumer heard tremendous noise coming fromvehicle. Then ,consumer saw rubber / metal and debris flying onhighway. Other cars were swerving to avoiddebris. Front driver's side tire tread came completely off, but tire stayed inflated.please provide any further information.
