I purchased six nexen tires over a year ago for my jayhawk camper. Three weeks ago i took a trip to ashville nc and during the trip two of the back tires --one on each side of the rv developed ridges down the center of the tire and came apart. I took the tires back to where they were purchased and was told they would only give me $75 for one of the tires because one had been driven while flat. I asked that they all be replace as they could be defective and was told no.
The contact owns a 2008 cadillac escalade equipped with nexen roadian hp tires, size: 285/45r22. While installing tires on the vehicle and inflating them, the tire sidewalls exploded. The contact stated that the tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 150,000 and the approximate tire failure mileage was 0.
