The corrosion were recently discovered. Just below the rightside of the main frame by the front right door. The paint bloated out bulging, but intact. As the result of the rust crippling underneath. Wherein there is no usual dings nor scratches to the surface. Suggesting a failure of the manufacturer while the anti-rust protection applied during the painting of the said body frame. This motorhome came from damon with lt215-r85-16 load range e tires.these tires (all lt215 load range e) are rated at a single axle maximum of 2680 pounds each.this damon motorhome, empty,in front weights 2700 pounds on one side and 2750 on the other.thus, the tires in front are running over their maximum carrying capacity, even without driver, passenger, and normal loading. The rear dullies are running at about 100 pounds less than maximum, with an empty coach.they too will be running "over-max" with any normal load, and certainly over-max with the vehicle loaded near its gvwr.in both cases, this is an unsafe, and potentially lethal safety issue.when reported to damon corp on 11/23/98, they said it is a ford problem.i can't change to bigger and higher capacity rated tires, because the rear dullies would have no separation, causing an additional safety issue.( dot number: tire size: lt215-r85- )

During a trip in august of 2000 i had the right rear tire tread separated in doing so it took out the floor/cabinet/wiring/ exhaust/ fender, and flares, etc.then again on 6/08/01 within 150 miles, i lost 3 more tires due to tread separation. This time it could have been serious, when tread separated it took out the holding tank along with the fuel tank fill tube and vent tube. If anything it would have sparked the whole thing could have gone up in flames.these were at speeds of 65mph and under and on some very hot days.all tires had around 11/32 of tread left on them.i'am very concerned that this could happen to someone else and cause some injury or death.
