It started to rain heavily so i turned on the windshield wipers. It was raining so hard i couldn't see so i put the wipers to the fastest setting possible. The moment the wiper on the left reached the far left side of the windshield the wiper came off the windshield and banged the side of the car (the frame) and then flew into the air. The wiper comes off the windshield each time you turn them on full blast. As a result my vision is impaired and i can't see through the rain to drive. I can't see the lanes to stay in the lines or the cars in front of me. This is going to cause an accident due to the faulty wiper. I haven't replaced the wipers yet because i just bought the car a little over a week ago. Also i was in the middle of a far drive when i noticed my front driverside tire was low. I stopped at the gas station and put air in the tire. I reached my destination about midnight so i went straight to sleep when i got there. The next morning i noticed that same tire was low almost flat again. I took the tire off and checked it for holes or nails. None were visible to the eye. I had a full size spare so i put the spare on. But now i don't have a reliable spare tire and if one of my tires pops unexpectedly i'm out of luck because the faulty tire is in my trunk instead of a reliable tire. Im going to purchase another tire to keep as a new spare but because i haven't had the car itself long, i think the dealership didn't do a safety inspection since the tire and wipers are defective.

I tried to purchase two front tires at costco, but was told by the general manager 'chris moore' that their policy is only to mount one or two tires when purchased on the rear.they refused to mount the tires on the front and insisted that they mount my two rear tires by different manufacturers on the front.one tire is a goodyear rs and the other a michelin x, both 185x65x14 on a front wheel drive nissan se.i insisted that two different brands with poorer tread would affect steering and handling, but costco refused to sell and mount the tire.i offered to sign a waiver but was told by the store manager that michelin had a policy and that they had to honor it for safety.i guess that costco or any store can set nhtsa policy these days.on the costco web sight, it states the following:"when buying just two new tires, should they be put on the front or rear? when you select a pair of replacement tires in the same size and construction as those on the car, you must put them on the rear axle. A single new tire must be paired on the rear axle with the tire having the most tread depth of the other three."costco general manager'chris moore - 410-379-3103; fax 379-3117this was at the 7077 arundel mills circle store in hanover, md 21076.please advise if this is sanctioned by dot.this is contrary to tire policy for many years in the pass and my many years of personal driving experience concludes that steering traction and balance out weighs other considerations.i immediately went to sams club and purchased the 2 michelin x tires and mounted them on the rear without question.walmart also will mount tires where the customer wants.the costco policy appears to try and force customers to buy 4 tires when only 2 are required.

Michelin hydroedge have developed cracks in bottom of all treads with only 37,000 miles on a 90,000 mile rated tire. They do not have sidewall weather-checking so it is not a weather or chemical issue.michelin was asked to pay for at least 50% of replacement cost but they refused.there is only 40% of the miles used on this set of $600 set of tires.the local dealer said he would replace with a different style for $450, which i did.michelin owes me $150.

At 23000 miles my right outer duel michelin tire blew while traveling at 60 mph on i77. Ended up getting off highway and into a plaza where roadservice replaced the tire.it had a zipper rip in the sidewall tires still have 9/16" tread, were loaded with105# air pressure according to weight and michelins charts.tires were always covered when not traveling (to protect from uvrays,)they had tire monitor system that showed normal pressure and temp.tires are michelin 275/80r22.5 x line energy 16 ply h rating with date code of 3316.michelin rep (alvin) tells me they have had several that have had blowouts.roda service had to put on a cooper295/75r22.5 tire as no michelins were avail.now i'm out $900.00 for a blowout on a michelin 4 year old tire

The contact owns a 2003 winnebago journey equipped with michelin x tires, size p235/80/r22.5. Two of the tires were purchased as replacements. The contact later found out that one tire was manufactured six years and the other tire ten years before he purchased them. The contact was unable to return the tires since they were purchased from a tire facility that was 700 miles from his residence. The contact drove the vehicle between 500 and 700 miles and then it was parked for three months. When the contact attempted to drive the vehicle again, he noticed that the tires would not hold air. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who informed the contact that there were holes in the tires. The tires were replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000. The current mileage was approximately 54,000.

Total tread separationon left front tire causing blowout @ highway speed had to drive on rim to get to safe area to replace destroyed tire with spare.

Four new michelin tires were purchased from bj's warehouse club on 08/09/07 and were mounted on a 1994 toyota corolla. The installation included new valve stems and balancing. On 09/25/08 one of the valve stems failed causing the tire to lose pressure while traveling at 65 mph. The vehicle was able to be controlled to stop, but the safety of the driver was placed in jeopardy. The vehicle was driven to the nearest bj's tire center after a space saver spare was installed. The bj's technician inspected the tire and commented that the stem had failed resulting in destruction of the tire. All four of the tires had approximately 13,000 miles on them and about 13 months of time. The technician commented that this was very unusual. A replacement tire was not in stock and was ordered. Another full size tire had to be purchased from another tire dealer (pep boys) to temporarily repair the vehicle, since the space saver spare cannot be used at high speeds. The incident occurred about 60 miles from my home while commuting. Investigation of tire stems seems to indicate that defective stems were sold by dill in 2006 and 2007 to some dealers. My concern is that how do i know if the three remaining tire stems are not defective? should this be a recall by bj's?

The tpms sensor broke while we performed a tire pressure check on a customer's vehicle. The repair cost was $76.30.

Tire vibration in steering at speeds usually greater than 40 mph and most prevelant when coming out of a turn.tires evaluated by tire store, speed balanced and rotated.found the sidewall defective.michelin x-radial dt p205/70r15.when defective tire was moved to rear problem did not occur, moved back to the front problem came back.

Purchased a set of 4 michelin x radial tires 10/2005.in may 2006 noticed a crack/cut in sidewall of tire. Tire replaced at costco under road hazard warranty. In august 2006, another tire suffered a rupture in the sidewall causing car to hit curb. Again replaced under costco road hazard warranty, due to not being able to prove we didn't hit something that caused sidewall rupture.october 2006 still another tire was noticed with a large bubble in the sidewall. Replaced again under road hazard warranty at costco.all tires that were replaced were dot hcp8hyux2505.

1) driving on interstate i-75/85 northbound in atlanta, ga at ~10pm in hov lane at approv 70mph.left rear tire had a sidewall blowout on the inside sidewall.blowout measures approx 2" square.2) maintained control of the vehicle despite instability.3) spare tire installed in left median against jersey barricade

In december of 2003 my wife had a michelin x radial plus sidewall blowout on her 94 t-bird. We replaced two tires a that times so they would be equal on the axle. Then yesterday another michelin x radial plus sidewall blew on the same car only in the front this time. Tire pressure was checked last week and the tread wear was even in both cases. We replaced both the remain two last night. The original set as well as the replacedment tires were purchased at costco. The first incident occured with 50% of the tread remaining the second time there was 25% tread left. The tires were approximately 3 years old. If everyone who bought these has had a 2 out of 4 failure rate, theres a problem.

Tire came apart on inside of tire, this is the second one it happened to, the first time was last spring, i thought it was just a fluke until it happened again.i looked on this web site to see if there were any recalls or other complaints associated with this tire, but didn't see any.we had the tire replaced at sam's club where we had purchased the tires.

Problems with michelin tire equipment on 1998 honda civic. *mr during the past nine months, the consumer has experienced 6 flat tires.two flats have occurred while commuting on a dangerous highway.the problem began when the consumer purchased a full set of michelin tires.the common factor of the flats, stemmed from a cracked valve stem, with the crack always located near the base of the stem on the wheel axle side.the valve stems may be too long for the rims. *sc
