Blown michelin steer tire that was 3 months old. Had about 35,000 miles onthis tire. I still have tire. Heard of alot of mishaps with this same type and size of tire. Ithought i was gonna die when this happened. Happened on sept 28 2010.

I had a tire blow out on 9/8/2010. The right front tire blew while i was traveling at about 55 miles per hour from houston to galveston tx. The hole cap came of the tire like it was a used recap tire. The tire crackedthe hood as well as the right front fender and the wheel well coverit also threw the hood out of alignment. The tire got replaced but the rest of the damages are still pending. After my tire blowout there has been 3 other drivers who've had the same problem, and i do not feel safe driving on those tires anymore. I have contacted michelin to have them buy the tires back and pay for my repairs but nothing is happening jet. Michelin clearly has a defective tireon this one and i want to make clear that anything that may happen to me or anyone else due to this tires is on michelin because they are telling me there is nothing wrong with this tire when we in a small group have blown 4 out of 5 equal tires.

I purchased a set of michelin 26570 17" chaparalon 5/08for a f-250 . Less then ayear later one tire has big lumps on it . The tire store replaced it in 5/09 in8/09 one of the tires came apart and cause damage to my truck $3,000.00.
Re: tires michelin xcx/apt 215/70 r16 dot hnxo ekfx 4405when putting air in my tires on 3/21/2015 i found all four tire sidewalls had a lot of cracks (one inch and bigger) plus a lot of other tire failure problems. These were not notice by honda dealer garage on tire rotation that was performed within the last six months. Neither had i notice this since that rotation,the tire tread on these tires are still good. I am aware that there were no recall and these tires have "expired" so to speak. My concern is that michelin tires had not warned me of this possible problem putting my family, myself and others on the road in danger. I want michelin to replace those tires. Anyone else having these tires should be told.i have photos.

The owner states that his drivers experienced two separate tire failures on same volvo 430 auto hauler (model 2013 vnl64t).the tires involved in the failures were michelin xza2 energy 295/60 r22.5.the first tire failed on 6/19/2012 with approximately 12,000 miles on it.the tire was a steer tire on the driver's side of the vehicle.the second tire failure occurred on the passenger side of the vehicle on 8/7/2012 with approximately 18,000 miles on it.the owner claims that when the second tire failed (on the passenger side), that the replacement tire on the driver's side of the vehicle (that had recently been installed) showed signs of severe wear and was coming apart.the owner states that the tires were properly inflated at the time of the failures and that the vehicle was weighed shortly after the failure and was found not to be over loaded.there was an approximate 1,000 pound difference between the left and right front tires.the owner claims that he uses these same tires on other vehicles without problems.the owner feels that the springs on the truck are overloaded and as a result the truck bounces as it travels down the road.the owner feels that this bounce may over load the tires and along with the heat from the region of the country the vehicles operate cause the tires to fail.the owners stated that in both tire failure instances, the diesel particulate filter had recently experienced a regenerative cycle that produces a lot of heat.the three tires (two failed and one severe wear) are available for inspection.

I know that the correct tire size for the honda element is 215/70-r16. I decided to take my business to sears auto center, where they installed the michelin hydroedge 215/65-r16 tires. I was wondering if this size is safe for the passengers and for vehicle performance.

This is the second michelin tire on my motor home to blow out both on the inside rear of the vehicle and both in the same location on the tire.it was the sidewall.i checked the tire pressure regularly and did not hit anything which would have caused the problem.
