When purchased new off the lot, experienced substantial pull to the right. Drove 500 miles and returned to dealer for service. Was told they needed to install camber bolts then align suspension (they reduced tire pressure in all four tires by ten pounds).problem was not abated.after 5000 road trip, returned to dealer to align again(again reducing tire pressure).six months later was still experiencing pull, but now accompanied by progressively worsening vibration. Dealer rotated and cross switched tires (once again reducing tire pressure).problem seemed solved.midway though next 5000 mile road trip vibration and pull started to recur, growing progressively worse as trip was concluded. Now at 26000 miles both front tires have substantial wear and need to be replaced and the car once more needs to be aligned.
All tires are bald on inner edges-even after rotation at 6,200 miles.
Incident 1, driving on main street not more than 40 mph, no construction. Blown tire #1. Incidence #2 2 blown (not flat) tires same car. 2 tires on r side blew simultaneously.driving on main street undergoing construction. Tires properly inflated. In both instances, all 3 tires had to be replaced.
I received recall notice capaign #04v037000 regarding the front tires on my dutch star motor home.i have been attempting to contact newmar tire recall hotline since late march 04.i have called every monday since then leaving a message on their answering machine.they have not yet returned any calls.

Blowout of rear tire on driver's side.we had exited the new york state thruway about 10 minutes prior and luckily the blowout occurred on a back road which was not heavily traveled.the mechanic sent by aaa to change the tire advised the tire was defective.my vehicle is a 2007 mercury milan purchased in 05/2007 and at that time had slightly less than 20,000 miles so it is still under warranty.i took the tire to the ford dealership where i purchased the car and they took photos of the tire and sent them over the internet to receive approval to replace the tire.ford denied the request.i contacted a local michelin dealer and was advised if ford had denied replacement, there was nothing that could be done.since ford would not honor the warranty, i purchased a new tire from the mechanic who has done all my auto repairs for almost 20 years.he also indicated the tire was definitely defective.
I just had my tires checked at 10,000 miles during an oil change at my dealership. No problem was found.i now have 11,000 miles on my car and tires. My tires are michelin radial xse p215/50 r17.i was on my way to work and without warning my drivers side back tires blew out.it separated from the tire and the cords were showing.i am convinced that this is the fault of the michelin tire because of the tread wear and the miles on it.i did not hit anything in the road nor was the tire punctured.when the tire blew i was on west bound on i-70 to downtown indianapolis and without warning i spun around several times in the middle of i-70 and got into an accident and had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance for neck and back injuries. My mazda 6 recieved 6,000 dollars in damage that i know of so far not to mention the person that i crashed into.my insurance willnot pay for the tire because that was the reason for the accident.i think michelin should pay for 4 new tires of a different brand, my hospital visit, my deductable and my rental care expense and my lost wages.also my tire presure was checked by my dealer again the week of june 27,2005.i'm very lucky that i didn't get hurt worse or someone getting hurt.i still don't know the extent of my injuries because i'm still having a lot of pain since the accident happened on july 4, 2005.is it any wonder that the f1 drivers didn't want to race and face an accident or worse yet death?
While drivingat 50 mph the front passenger tire blew out, causing the consumer to pull of the road.michelin radial tires. At 28k miles, the left front tire tread separated,at 32k miles the right front tire tread separated and 34k miles the left rear tire went flat overnight. *sc
Nothing leading up to event either incident, with the exception of seconds before tire separated from vehicle because bolts were sheared off, there was a slight vibration.first incident in 1999, bolts sheared off front passenger side while traveling at about 25 mph, no significant damage to truck, repaired and had no further problems until 2005 when traveling 65 mph bolts again sheared off front passenger side tire, again vibrations about a minute before tire separated from vehicle. This time there was significant damage, fortunately no injuries were sustained to those in vehicle or others.currently truck is in for repair, again using certified chrysler parts, and they are new and installed correctly.will need autobody repair this time due to other damage sustained to vehicle.new tires were put on correctly about 4000 miles ago with no problems to this point either.
While driving at 30 mphrear passenger's side tire separatedfrom the rim.no impact reported.
Around march 2005 on a spring break, took my 2002 ford explorer in about15 miles out my town, one of the tires, the rubber just separated from the tire , causing the truck to move in different directions, but thank god i was able to steer to the right side of the road since i just started to speed up the vehicle it did not flip the truck, but caused damaged inside the truck where the wheel is located, all because a piece of the rubber separated from the tire. The expense was less than $200.00 but the drama was priceless, and the kids all were crying .i need information on the recall tires of my truck.thank you.

Add to nhtsa 10036804.while traveling at about 65 mph, on i-495 near littleton ma, after the incident in bangor.the passenger side rear inside dual tire also blew a sidewall. There was no control loss and we went about a mile getting off the freeway and parked in a parking lot behind littleton lumber.
My wife was driving our 2005 honda odyssey (14500 miles) at 60 mph on a smooth dry highway when the right rear tire exploded.the tire separated into three parts, left and right sidewall and tread.the tire was a michelin energy lx4 235-65-16, original equipment on the odyssey.inflation pressure was normal, having been checked two days earlier.temperature was approximately 65 deg. There were four women with their weekend luggage on board, certainly weighing less than the rated load of the vehicle and the tires. Since she was 200 miles from home, she had to buy another tire (off brand) at the nearest tire shop.the failed tire was later taken to discount tire in lake worth, tx for replacement with a correct tire.

Sidewalls of tires are wearing improperly. (dot number: b3tatiresize: 195/65/15)
Driver's side tire, sidewall blowout. Michelin 255/80r22.5g tire, 13105 miles on vehicle, 36 foot long, newmar kountry star, diesel motorhome.
New 2004 infinity g35 coupe purchased 12/11/03 skidded out of control 12/14/03 on expressway when light snow was falling and sticking to road surface. The tires sold with the car were "summer only" tires with an n/a traction rating on the sidewall. This fact was not mentioned by the dealership nor on the car window sticker nor in the brochure that gives the details about the car. When i made this problem known to the dealership they were indifferent. I have just spent $1400 topurchase 4 winter performance tires for this car. These cars are being sold in winter months without consumers being able to know that it is dangerous to drive them in winter conditions.*la

Have 2002 mercedes c 230 coupe, 18000 miles, original owner.had flat tire, right rear, no puncture noted by tire repair shop.shop stated tires almost totally worn, with 2/32 tread on right rear and 4/32 on left rear, both center tread measurement.front tires a little better.michelin tires.but for incidental flat tire would never have thought tires needed to be replaced at 18000 miles or probably much sooner than that.needless to say, dealership states no warranty on tires.had routine service and noted vehicle has always pulled to right and has had hard pounding noise when going over slightest bump.dealer stated no problems noted in pulling to right or in the pounding noise.since flat tire, vehicle has been at dealership and has had stabilizer bar connecting links, torsion rod replaced.probably should have been replaced long ago.question whether defective stabilizer bars caused tires to wear much faster.no indication from dealership.believe mercedes benz should be placed on notice of condition.consequences could have been disastrous.mercedes benz and/or michelin should advise of potential low life expectancy of their tires.tire size, original equipment 225/45 zr 17 91y.
