I have had several problems with this car. I got the car brake pads replaced regularly but i had to get the rotors replaced too in 2006. Then, the driver side seat belt had to be replaced round about the same time.recently (a month ago), i got the primary oxygen sensor replaced. Now, the latest major problem is internal trans failure and fluid leak diagnosed by honda, a diagnosis that i had to pay for. This is unheard of in a car with 55k mileage. Honda sold the cars with defective tran systems in the first place. There was a class action lawsuit because of which they extended their warranty. Now, i am out of the warranty by just 3 months.they have asked me to pay around $700 to repair it. Honda should cover 100% of the repair cost. I am pretty sure that i will have to again replace the new tran system as soon as its warranty period expires. Because of this, the car is driving funny and using a tremendous amount of gas.when i called customer care and told them that the fuel economy problem (due to tran failure) had started about 6 months ago (when i was well within the warranty period), they said that i should have taken it to a dealership before.since there were no visible sign on the dashboard or any other place, how will a driver know that there is something definitely wrong with the car? there might have been engine sounds but it is hard to discern it over the inherent loud din of the honda engine. Even the honda technician could not say for sure whether the noise coming from the engine was due to the tran. Failure. A proper repair shop would have told me exactly what the prob. Was and try to repair it, but honda replaces the full tran system.honda's customer service is extremely unpleasant - they are rude and abrupt in their conversations. They have given me limited choices - 1. I had to pay for a diagnosis at a honda repair shop. 2. I do not have a choice of getting it fixed from a different honda dealership. 3. They have given me 3 days to repair it.

While driving on the interstate, my back tire's sidewall blew out and i was forced to the side of the road. The tire was in good condition with plenty of tread depth left. Vehicle is parked on pavement and not grass to promote moisture/dry rot.after reading on line, michelin has recalled 100,000 tires last month. A coworker stated the same thing happened to their michelin tire last week.please investigate smaller michelin tires. This is clearly a defective tire and seems to be very common. Luckily it was a back tire and i remained in control of the vehicle.
Bought 4 michelin agility touring tires (p195/60r15 87s) from sears auto on 1/15/07. On 6/26/08 rear passenger tire was flat while in the driveway. On 7/11/08 rear driver tire blew out while driving on highway. The interior side of the tire was completely ripped. On 7/16/08 front passenger tire was flat while in another driveway. Each tire showed no punctures and was not under-inflated. The defective tires as well as the 4th michelin that did not go flat yet were replaced as they went bad with firestone affinity touring s2 tires because sears didn't carry any more s class tires for the saturn ion. Discarded 1st flat tire. Will hold last 2 defective tires and the non-flat tire until 12/31/08. It's strange that 3 tires with no signs of punctures went flat or blew out within 3 weeks after only a 1.5 years' use. They could have caused bad accidents. Sears dismissed my complaint since the tires were no longer on the rims. Dot hnda h5fx 4206, 4306, 4406?, and 4506.

I have been purchasing a specific type of michelin tire which has been prematurely dryrotted and over the july 4th weekend period. One tire separated the belt from the side walls at 65 mph., almost killed me. Sheriff gordon on scene from seale al. Needed to speak with michelin about these tires. Have already replaced all of the tires a couple times and have experieced dry rot in all of them, again. Sams club found dry rot on new tires. Gm dealer found dry rot on new tires. Willing now to resolve at this level. If this safety issue not addressed, will move venue to level which will address. Work 706-545-7546 home 706-324-3459. Thanks for your immediate attention.
