Two tire blow outs in 4 months. First tire had bubble caused by non level road surface which would not qualify as a divot or pothole. Second tire completely blew out after hitting rough road at 40-50 mph and caused damage to rim totaling over 1000 dollars. Completely inexcusable because tire pressure was adequate, car was serviced previous week and there were no defects at time of service.

2003 acura tl type-s experiencing excessive wear on only the driver's side front tire.car was taken to an acura dealer for service.upon inspection of the vehicle, the acura mechanic indicated that the problem has been seen previously on several other vehicles of the same make/model and that the problem was related to the traction control system (vsa) allowing slippage of the front driver's side tire during right turns.acura stated that there was no resolution available and the only recourse was to rotate the tires on a more frequent basis.tire dealer was asked if there were any known issues with the tire itself (michelin) and indicated that there were no service notifications issues from the manufacturer.the wear on this tire is heavily accelerated and was only noticed on a routine examination of the vehicle.based on the statements by the acura mechanic, i believe there to be a problem with the traction control system that allows the front driver's side tire to slip, thereby causing the excessive wear.given winter driving conditions, this slippage was increased due to the loss of road traction.if unnoticed, the tire would have failed (with less than 28000 miles) potentially causing significant damage to the vehicle.the worn tire is available for inspection and pictures of the tire in comparison to the passenger side front tire are available upon request.

During vehicle inspection front left tire hada bubble in the sidewall.

The contact owns a 2007 honda accord with michelin mxm4 tires, size p215/50/17. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side tires blew out. The contact had to replace the tiresthree times due to the identical failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to pay half of the repair cost. The tires were replaced. The dot number was not available. The failure mileage was 27,000 and the current mileage was 30,000.

Honda/michelin pax tires (no flat) are design for only about 20-30k miles.this information was not disclosed at the time of the purchase of my vehicle. They have deceived the consumer that this is a quality product.in addition, these tires are flawed and expensive to replace and your car can't be de-pax.if they are not replaced every two years it can cause serious performance problems which can lead to unnecessary crashes. As a concerned consumer about this product and many others we would like a recall on this product asap! honda and michelin are aware of this defect, however they are not doing anything but passing the buck to one another.

Michelin tire failed at low mileage.consumer found front left tire was low on air.tire merchant not willing to do antying. *nlm

In feb 2008 i bought a new 2007 ford fusion.the problem i'm having is with michelin tires (225/50r17).three of the four tires have developed bubbles and had to be replaced within the past year.the first was july 19, 2009, the second was july 2, 2010 and the third was august 4, 2010.i contacted michelin who gave me the run-around but no solution.i took the last tire to a michelin dealer and was told that michelin wouldn't give me anything because an authorized dealer didn't replace the tire.how can i go around finding a particular dealer when i'm setting on the interstate with a flat tire?i went to the first place i found who could replace the tire.each time i was out of town when the failure happened, the first two times i was ever out of state so it's not like being at home where you can look in the yellow pages or surf the net and find an authorized dealer.the authorized dealer that i contacted after the 3rd failure said it was due to impact from potholes.duh!it's summertime.potholes have been repaired.i feel that michelin (and representatives) have failed me as a consumer.they claim to stand behind their product and that's exactly what they do - stand behind because they sure don't step up to the plate and handle the problem.i feel that i had 4 defective tires either manufacturer's defect or dry rot or something.i have never in the history of driving (40+ yrs) have i replaced a tire for a bubble in it and now 3 in less than a year?????no more michelin for me.

Bubbles in sidewalls of michelin245/40r18 michelin pilot hx mxm4 tires. With only 24,000 mi. On these tires they had multiple bubbles or bulges in the inner and outer sidewalls. These bubbles are very dangerous and can burst or be ruptured and cause a blowout at any time. If these bubbles were only on the inner sidewalls, we may never have noticed them. This means that many people are right now riding on tires that may burst at any moment and i consider this a major flaw in these and other low profile tires. This should be a national recall as many of these bubbles are not easily detected and are way too common. The tire manufactures are blaming the consumer for this problem and are knowingly allowing this problem to continue. My local audi dealer showed me a mountain of these defective tires! my tires are available for inspection and michelin is giving me a 50% discount on a new set.

Purchased from jay wolfe acura, kansas city, mo:2004 acura tsx, 2700 miles, purchased 6/7/04.no potholes, cracks, curbs, etc. Hit with vehicle.dealer stated that i must have hit something in road anyway. Failure:front passenger sidwall blowout at rim--front end out of alignment; front passenger rim damaged due to blowout and moving car into safe location;rear passenger bubble and start of tire separation at rim--rear end in alignment.(do not understand how rear could be in alignment if a pothole was hit)correction: $825.00--replaced 2 tires; replaced 1 acura rim; 1 four wheel alignment plus shop fees and taxes.
